WE ORDERED A CARPORT BACK ON SEPT 24, 2015 WE WERE TOLD THAT IT WOULD BE DELIVERED 2 TO 8 WEEKS. BY NOVEMBER 2015 I HAD CALLED AT LEAST TWICE EVERY TIME I CALLED THEY SAID DUE TO WEATHER OR THAT WE WERE ON THE LIST AND WOULD GET A CALL THE FOLLOWING WEEK. WE NEVER GOT A CALL I CALLED AGAIN IN JAN 2015 STILL NO CARPORT BUT TOLD THEY WERE GOING TO CALL US NEXT WEEK EVERY TIME I MADE SURE THEY HAD THE CORRECT PHONE NUMBERS I CALL AGAIN THE END OF MARCH 2015 THEY PROCEED TO TELL ME THEY TRIED TO CALL US IN FEB NEITHER I NOR MY HUSBAND GOT A CALL FROM THEM AND AGAIN I MADE SURE THEY HAD THE RIGHT PHONE NUMBER AND THEN THE MIDDLE OF APRIL WE HAD TO PUT IT ON HOLD AND THEN A WEEK LATER I CALLED AND TOLD THEM TO BRING IT..MAY 10 2015 STILL NO CARPORT OR CALL I GO TO THE LOCAL DEALER HERE FOR THEM AND REQUEST MY MONEY BACK AND SO HE TOLD ME TO COME BACK THE NEXT MORNING TO GET MY CHECK IN THE MEANTIME I AM NOT SURE WHAT THE COMPANY TOLD HIM BECAUSE THE NEXT DAY THE MAN WAS RUDE AND SAID NOW THAT HE KNEW WHAT WAS GOING ON AND THAT THEY HAD CALLED US SEVERAL TIMES TO DELIVER WHICH WAS A BALD FACE LIE..AND THAT WE HAD PUT IT ON HOLD SEVERAL TIMES ANOTHER LIE. I WOULDNT RECOMMEND BUYING FROM THIS COMPANY CAUSE YOU WILL NEVER GET YOUR CARPORT WISH I WOULD HAVE LOOKED IT UP ON Revdex.com BEFORE I ORDERED IT....

Well done Job, on time, quick, neat

Be careful here, the deposit you make to the dealer is not refundable. There fore the terrible service you get from Carolina Carport dispatches and set up crews can not be turned away without loosing money. Not on time and you must work to there schedule or they screw you over. You the consumer are at their beck and call not the other way around 4-6 week delivery is based upon number of buildings in your area they can do In one day apparently. No working with you, no way to complain to anyone above the local office dispatchers or get to management so you can resolve it properly. Find another dealer in your local area to work with.

I live in KS. I ordered via an ordering site here in my state a 2 car sized carport. I ordered this Nov. 7th 2014. They told me 8 weeks. It is now January 7th, and I still have no carport. (14 weeks),I had to put 10% down, about $70. I call them and they keep postponing it. I have been put on hold 2 of the 3 times I called. One time I had to hang up because my phone died. I either want my 10% money back, or a phone call from them to find out when it's coming. This company is terrible. When I called in Dec, they told me they were closed for 2 weeks for the holiday yet they were back logged to September. Seriously? Why are they taking 2 weeks off if they are back logged? I'm angry! I'm considering filing a report with the Revdex.com although it may do no good since they are not affiliated with them.

This is my first review of any company, for any reason, anywhere... But they were so unbelievably bad to deal with - that I was moved to post this in hopes that others will not make the same mistake.

I patiently waited well over 2 months for my carport (which was supposed to arrive in "3-4 weeks"). It never came. They called numerous times to schedule the installation. Each time they failed to show up, and they never called to to say they weren't coming. After 9 weeks they still could not give me a delivery date!

I finally cancelled my order and told their local sales rep to just keep my 10% deposit.

Unless you want to wait indefinitely for your structure, I would recommend spending $500 extra and just purchase the [redacted] brand from [redacted] or [redacted].

TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE! My contract expired and they never called to check in. Three months past the scheduled delivery date, I got a call about my structure. NEVER order from them. You'd be better off paying an additional $200 to buy from someone else. The customer service is rude, unhelpful, and they tried to push the blame onto other people. Never deal with them. Please.

Last week, Carolina Carport installed a 24ft X 31ft garage for me. I am very pleased. Building looks great and my property was left clean & neat. I was told that lead time to get building installed would be approx. 8 weeks. I figured, therefore, that I had 8 weeks to get the site ready before they showed up with the building. This was not the case. About a month after I ordered the building, I called C.C. to let them know the site was ready and check on status of building. THAT is when they started the 8 week lead time. Actual lead time from date of order was more like 12 or 14 weeks. However, we're still very happy with the purchase and recommend this company.

Review: We placed an order for a 18x21x9 carport around 5/26/14 and were told that it would be 4 to 6 weeks before we get the carport. We received a call around 8/1/14 (10 weeks later) stating that are carport was set to be installed 8/7/14 in the afternoon, a few days later we received a call stating that something came up and that our installation would need to be changed to 8/8/14 mid day. On 8/7/14 they called and changed the installation date to 8/12/14. When 8/12 came around I took off work to wait for these people to install my carport and come 4pm no one showed up nor did anyone call. So I called the company and was told that they would not be out because of the rain. I voiced my concern then that this installation had been changed numerous times and I keep missing work or having to reschedule my vacation because they keep changing it and that I think we should get compensated. The response I received was "I'm sorry but we cannot control the weather." I also told them that they could of called me earlier in the day to tell me this since it was raining all day and again I get sorry we cannot control the weather and I just got off the phone with the installer, we will have to reschedule. A whole week has went by and we have not heard anything about rescheduling installation. My husband called today and was told it would not be until the beginning of September before the carport could be installed. Why if you could not complete something one day that it was not reschedule for the next day, why would it be scheduled for 3 weeks after that?Desired Settlement: At this point I would like my deposit back and we will go some where else or I would like the carport installed ASAP and would like money off it for the inconvenience of being rescheduled 4+ times.

Review: So we went to [redacted] in Albemarle (nothing against them), the first week in MAY. Its Aug. 8th and still not carport. I was told 4-6 weeks. Carolina Carports called me to set up the install after 8 weeks. The scheduled day comes and the have to reschedule because their guys "were behind". 2nd scheduled appointment comes in week 9. Its raining So I call them and they say "no we dont work in the off and on drizzle". One more chance, week 10, which was suppose to be This coming Monday 8-11-14. They just called and said, "We cant come Monday and need to reschedule for Thursday 8-14-14" I ask why and they say "its suppose to rain Monday"........really?!? thats 3 days away and the last time I had to call you on a day it was raining. I said "no Your not getting my money." Yall Had your chances. The lady on the phone got an attitude when I said, there was only a 40% chance of rain. She said "so you tell me, theres only a 40% chance of rain in Monroe, Waxhaw, Mint Hill Oakboro, Norwood and Mt. Gilead?" Excuse me but, it only matters about Norwood at this point lady! "I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE" Terrible excuse for customer service. People need to know that Carolina Carports Only care about when there delievery truck is in the area and not about their customers. After 10 Weeks I think they need to go out of their way. Specially Since Ive already paid a down payment.Desired Settlement: People need to know that Carolina Carports Only care about when there delievery truck is in the area and not about their customers.

Review: Carolina Carports installed a enclosed garage for me and a few months later it started leaking, I looked at the roof and saw a crack where they had not screwed it in properly, I called and they told me they had to charge 50 dollars to come look at it, a guy came out and looked and said it was my foundation was uneven and said it wasnt there fault and basically said they would have to take down the whole building and put it back up, I had my foundation checked out and this was not the case, and also found out that my brother had the same issue with his garage and they also had the same excuse which was uneven foundation, I called and they said they would have to get the original builder to come back and inspect, the day came and they never showed up, so I called back and told them and they had no record of the appointment and she said she would call me back and set something up, its been 2 weeks and still havent heard anything from them, ive called multiple times and always get someone who is very rude on phone, ive been trying to get this leak fixed for 4 months now and no luck with these people, look into another carport companyDesired Settlement: I would like a refund for the inspection and partial refund to hire someone who will fix my building and get it done right and quick

Carolina Carport has built two metal building on my property.

The cost of the building includes delivery and labor.

I am very satisfied with both buildings.

This place is a joke they say 2-6 weeks installed they call me 15 weeks later send two people that don't even get out of the truck and say it is too windy. The most pathetic company I have ever seen. I blew 2 vacation days because these is called me and said they were installing it. If you are looking for a steel building this is not the place to look.

I purchased a Carolina carport from a private individual in April of 2015 and he suggested to hire CCI to move the carport. CCI took my deposit and informed me it would be about 2-8 weeks. On the first weekend of August 2015, CCI set up a date to install and they backed out. A few weeks later they called and schedule a date to install and they never showed up. They scheduled a new install date a week later and failed to show. I even called to confirm that date and was advised we were good to go. They scheduled for the day after but the crew leader called and advised me he couldn't do the move because of inclement weather. I decided I had wasted enough time with CCI and hired a different company that moved it within a week.

The building I ordered was a 40/40 building ...the building was shipped in the time span as promised..the inspector came and inspected the concrete pad..and said the building would be shipped when paper work was turned in...the company called later and told us when we could expect the building...on Thursday morning the building arrived ,with erectors Victor [redacted] lead man and Ricardo,Roberto and Alex, very friendly ,courteous, and hard workers...on Friday evening at 5:30 the building was completed and area cleaned up,only took two days to complete a 40/40 building, very neat and professional work...I would highly recommend this crew of men for any job....

My experience and recommendations to make your experience a succesful one.

I went through MANY dealers and ultimately found [redacted] barns (http://www.[redacted].com/) and spoke to Lacey. She worked me, back and forth, through a lot of changes to end up with the order we placed. I would give Lacey a 10 out of 10 for a review.

She ensured that Carolina Carports (CCI) received my order and kept me in the loop. I received a very prompt call from CCI in the days that followed confirming receipt and reviewed my order. Both Lacey and the representative from CCI set my expectation of eight weeks turnaround. I needed some time to tear down a structure, expand and level the area, etc. I did this with the knowledge of eight weeks to delivery and had it done long before.

At almost exactly eight weeks I received a call from CCI stating I was to expect delivery the following week (Friday and finish work on Saturday due to structure size). We reviewed the order again and I actually expanded it to include J-Channel everywhere it was applicable and highly recommend that now that I've seen the end result.

I took a half day on that Friday and at 1 PM [redacted] installers from Pennsylvania arrived. I'm assuming J stands for Jose as he was clearly the supervisor as the other two gentlemen did not speak english very well, nor did Jose but much moreso then the other two. They got to work after Jose and I confirmed the order and placement, etc. I offered, and provided a cooler of Lemonade / cups to them as it was a hot day and they were working extremely hard and efficiently. I also provided them dinner (burgers and dogs) so they could keep working later.

One item I'd state is they had no concept of time as when they stated 40 minutes left it meant 4 hours and an overnight stay in a local hotel. They departed around sunset stating a 7 AM arrival time. I made sure the greeting crew (dogs) were put away prior to 7; however, they arrived at 8:30 AM on Saturday stating their hotel beds were too comfortable to get out. I believe if you work hard, and they did the day prior, to afford one to sleep in a bit so no big deal.

They worked for another 3 hours and the structure was complete. I was wondering to what extent they would clean up after themselves and was pleased they picked up EVERYTHING. While they were packing up I walked around the area and looked for any screws on the ground and they noticed me doing that. They all came over and we did it collectively for about 5 to 10 minutes until we covered the entire area twice over.

As one of the workers asked about our chickens and whether we sold eggs I provided him a half dozen as a gift as well as a $20 tip to each of them. I'm sure they do NOT get paid well and they did such a good job that I felt the tip was well worth it. I could not find opinions on what to tip CCI installers so went with $20 each ($60 total).

My opinion:

If you go into this and work with someone like Lacey @ [redacted] barns you'll have a good experience initially.

If, and this is a BIG IF, you understand to not hold your breath and are willing to wait for 8 weeks then you won't be disappointed, far from it.

I would STRONGLY recommend Lacey, [redacted] Installers from PA, and CCI with the above recommendations to going into it with the timeframe understood. I also would NOT recommend starting the process going into the Fall / Winter but rather start the process in the Spring / Summer as I did.

My two cents as the experience could NOT have been better with my approach. Some coworkers of mine are going to be getting their own structures but due to time of year going to take my advice and wait until Spring.

After placing an order for a metal carport to be delivered in NJ on June 8th, 2015, I was quoted a 4-8 week window for delivery. Customer service would not specify any information, other than repeat "we will call you 3 days before delivery". By August, I was calling once a week and always heard the same response. In October, they called to schedule a delivery within 48 hours, which did not work for me, and my order was placed on hold. "On hold" means that they will restart the process apparently, and I am now looking at a February delivery. This is a total of 9 months wait for an 8 week delivery window. They claim that they are running 2-3 MONTHS behind and that delivery to NJ is "weather pending". It is currently 70 degrees and sunny in NJ. I have reached out to several service managers, and all blame others for the repeated delays. I may be cancelling the order if I do not hear a definite delivery date by New Years Day.

This was the worst company I have ever dealt with. We have ordered out Car Port in JULY. and they have cancelled OVER and OVER and OVER again. Because of bull excuses. This was the worst customer service. We are currently gathering our lawyer for a Class Action suit. Anyone who wants to join against the worst company in the world. Please contact me. Why do you Offer your product if you are literally NEVER going to install it ever. I wish I could give this less than a Zero Percent for satisfaction. I will be calling them every single day until I have a garage built on my property. And it will probably take me about 6 months until your check arrives. the weather was just too bad to deliver it today.

7 weeks after ordering my carport, they still cant tell me when I will get delivery. say its due to rain in Georgia..Cant believe that would hold up my order in central Florida!!! Not at least if they have any crews that will work for them outside of a few areas. I have bought three carports from them and each time they get slower on delivery. I will never use these characters again for anything.
