I had carports installed and attached by Carolina Carports a few weeks agoGround is sloped, the right side is 1/ftlower than the right, and this was not supposed to be an issueAfter legs in middle were cut too short, they set it on blocks and they had it almost levelJust needed to adjust length of legs on rightThey wanted me to sign a waiver voiding warranty to install it on blocksI wouldn't, they threatened to take carport backThey the took blocks out, and it pulled roof further away from the house and this what we got
Crew foreman said he had a bunch of time in it
Carolina Carports sent another crew to look at it and they said it was installed correctly
I wish I could post pictures and let you decide if this is quality work
Carolina Carports installed carports for me years ago, and did great workI expected similar this time and didn't get it

I ordered a metal garage 24x40xon 6/20/Have called and emailed numerous times with no responseI have not received any paperwork on my orderI requested a site plan or blueprint also which is needed by my county for a zoning and permitNothing as of today 7/09/The only thing I received from the rep I purchased from was a reciept for a down payment which only shows amount and transaction identificationThis is not the correct way to do businessI should have already recieved a purchase reciept showing exactly what I bought with total amount minus down paymentI need this immediately or a refund of my down payment

I bought a building from them through one of their dealers April 24thWas told once a down payment was made I would be contacted by CCI representative to complete the saleWhen making this purchase The sale person stated usual delivery was within weeks I was contacted by CCI and asked about a set of plans to take to the local building inspector to get them approvedThey emailed me a set and said they were approved for use in all of Texas
Took them to the inspector and was advised they do not meet the requirements for my areaThe engineer that signs off on them for CCI is not approved for Texas as a wind storm engineerI spoke with Whitney Hat CCI and was told she would check with the engineers and see if there was anything that could be done as they had never had this problem beforeShe returned my call and said the engineers could not change the plans and there was nothing else that could be done, April 30th
I spoke with the local building inspector, his recommenda

I bought my carport back in It had a leak in the roof early on which I fixed.I wanted a garage door installed and the front enclosed.Sent MULTIPLE emails..no response.Local dealer here in east tennessee says there is now a $return trip fee.more like a penalty for the new door I wantThey must be so big they chsse business away.Still haven't heard from them

I was leery of buying a building from Carolina Carports because of their dismal track record The dealer that sold it to me assured me that they are working on some issues and considering they install many buildings across the country you are gonna have some complaints I took the dealer on his work cause we found out we served together in the Marine Corp and in the same unit Process of building went great Crew showed up as I was told and hours later the 30xbldgwas completed The crew was organized and worked very hard and steady and answered any questions my site foreman had, (brother-in-law) I was not able to be their cause I had to work but I would give the out of stars for workmanship and only because I'm fussier than most people but two rows of screws on one side were crooked They should have snapped a chalk line to follow However, it was not a deal breaker and most people would not notice it Having said all of this I have not, at this point, looked for any leaks or seen any or other issues that would probably all under the warranty The office stall in Dobson, especially Mallory was very helpful and fair So far I've had a lot of compliments on the building So maybe they have turned things around and I would recommend and use them again

Horrible communicationDo not buy from these peopleLies, lies, liesThey lied and said it would pass zoning, it didn'tThey charged my card in full and now I'm stuck with a $frame and materialWorst business experience in my life

Have been waiting for over months for our open carport to be installedThe permit person in the Tampa area, Mike ***, waited over months to file our permitWe were told by our dealership that it would be 8-weeks to be installedThe dealership, *** *** *** in Dover Fl, took our 15% deposit but never heard from the againThe Carport company kept telling me we were waiting on the permit, but they lied several times because the county had no record of the permit being filedAfter multi calls and complaints, they finally file the permit on November 2, and now we are just waiting in line for the countyPLEASE NEVER USE THIS COMPANYThey are so unhelpful and will give you the runaround

AWFUL customer service!!! I ordered a free standing leon NOVEMBER 10, 2016, and I STILL have not received itThis is the THIRD time they have scheduled an installation with me and either no-showed or loaded the truck with the wrong materials...so today, I took off work and they didn't call or show upAGAIN!!! No explanation! I called their office twice this afternoon to make sure I was still scheduled for delivery, and no one called me backVery poor business practices and I will be telling ALL friends and family to avoid doing business with this company! In looking at their page, it appears I'm not the only person having this problemMore people than not gave them star, so it looks like I should have checked that first before placing an order!

I had a 24xmatal garage installed on 9/The building was installed later than it should have been but that was not a big issueThe day the building was to be installed I mad sure I was off work so I could be there for the install because they were supposed to show up first thing that morningBy 1:i was still waiting on the installer to show up amd ended up contacting the company to see what was going onThe installer finally showed up around 3:and began to workThey left around 7:00pm and said they would return at 6:00am the next morning, they didnt show up untill 11:30am to start workingThe crew would work about ten minutes and then take an hour and a half breakI had to leave for work at 4:At 8:30pm (after dark) I get a call from my fiance and my neighbor complaining about the noise and I am told that the installer was using the headlights of his truck to work in the dark amd it was rainingI tried to call the installer times to tell him to leave but got no

This August we had a metal building installed on our propertyHowever, it was not built up to code and has failed inspectionFor four months we have been calling and emailing different Carolina Carports representatives to resolve the issueNothing has progressed and our last attempts have been ignored
We would like this matter resolved promptly and amicably, but are prepared to escalate the issue if it is not addressed soon

As there was just a rain since the building was put up by the contract crew I found that it leaks(3-29-17) When I called I was told there was only a day warranty......1-25-was dated crew showed up and I had to pull them out of mud road where they were buried axle deep with my tractor Long time dealer said what I wanted would work fine, but then company called and tried a bait/switch that would only cost me $more, which I declined Now unless I can figure out what more I can do, I have a leaking barn to store the tractors BEWARE!!!

Carolina Carports is by far the worst, most incompetent company I have ever dealt with in my life....bar noneI've gone through my phone and tried to reconstruct the timeline of the 20+ phone calls I've had back and forth with them
I ordered carports at the same time on Dec 28th A 21x24xfor my house (#1), and a 18x21xfor my daughters house (#2) as part of her Christmas presentI was told it would be between 4-weeks before they were installedI was good with that
I was thrilled to have someone from the company contact me on 1/21/to see if the sites were ready for the installationI informed them they wereThey said they would contact me again a few days in advance of when the buildings were scheduled to be delivered
1/28/I was contacted and told delivery on building #would be on 2/4/They didn't have a date yet scheduled for my 2nd buildingI inquired why
1/29/They called and rescheduled building (#1) and said they would construct both buildings on 2/5/
2/3/ They called me and said they needed a permit for building (#2), and postponed the delivery date on building (#1) until the afternoon of 2/12/
I called them back and said to just deliver the materials for building #I'll build it myselfThey said they could do thatNo problem
On 2/12/I took the day off workSometime around pm and no calls from CC, the dealer I bought from called and spoke to Michele to see what time the crew would arriveShe didn't know exactly, but said they were coming
At about 6:(after dark), I get a call from the crew leaderHe said they weren't going to make it todayThey would be out in the morningI said okThey showed up at 6:ready to workThe guys knew what they were doing and had the building in up in about hours
Later that day I got to looking at the gable end and knew something wasn't rightI had ordered the gable with one extra 3' panel down below the standard gable and paid extra for the materials to brace it upThe installers only put vertical support in the middle, and one horizontal brace at the bottomI called CC on 2/15/and asked when my 2nd building would be delivered, and if the bracing on my gable end sounded correct from my descriptionI was told they would get back to me on the 2nd building, and transferred me to a sales personWhen I described what was done to this guy, he said it sounded like it was missing some supportsand gave me an email address to send him picturesI sent him pictures
By 2/24/16, I still hadn't gotten a response on the pictures I sentNothingNo confirmation of even receiving themI decided to send the sales person another email, asking what is going on over there, and mentioned about their Revdex.com rating and that I may be possibly filing a complaint myselfBy 8:the following morning, I had the sales person call me to say they were looking into things and someone would get back to me shortlyAbout a half hour later, I get another callThey have my 2nd building scheduled to be delivered on 3/and the crew would then follow up and make the necessary corrections on building
About 3:PM on 3/2/I call CC just to confirm delivery in the morningThe gal I spoke with said they would be out first thing in the morning, at sunupBefore I can even hang up with her, I have another call coming inIt's Carolina CarportsI tell the gal I just talked with someone, and were all set for the morningShe then tells me, no.....there's been a delayThe crew won't be out until the following day 3/4/first thing at sun uppeople from the same company on the phone at the same time giving different information
I arrive at the site at about 6:AM 3/4/(today) I don't live there, I live minutes awayI wait until 8:I call CC, and talk to Michele at 8:AMI ask here when the building will be deliveredShe says she will call the call the crew and get back to me as soon as she knows somethingAt 9:she calls me back and informs me the crew had mechanical problems with their truck and my building will be delivered on Monday
Needless to say, I cancelled the building delivery, and will never ever have anything to do with this company againI will add the necessary bracing to my structure that the installers neglected to do myselfI hope my time spent on typing this helps someone else out in avoiding the aggravation I just went through

A $additional charge for labor was added to my invoice stating that the installers had to carry materials over feetInstallers did not carry materials over feetThey didn't even carry it over feetThis is a bogus charge made by Carolina Carports and I do not feel that I should have to pay it

I have tried unsuccessfully to obtain a garage shed from carolina carports I have been scheduled for installation and then at the last minute they cancel They have a day grace period but when you schedule and then cancel I feel this is unsatisfactory Even the latest episode where I got cancelled and did not receive even so much as a courtesy call to say they were sorry and tried to reschedule I had to call them I am trying to get my deposit back and because days haven't elapsed yet, won't be able to receive my deposit This is bad business and no one should work with this company

days after they installed my building around may It rained and my roof was leaking I contacted them that day and they said they would send somebody out I have contacted them via email and my gf has been to the point of sale once with no action other then, "somebody will contact you" I emailed once again earlier this week at the beginning of january with same issue and they called back wednesday that somebody would be in touch by end of the week no call I messaged again but tired of the run around that "somebody will be in contact"

This company is the biggest bunch of liars I have ever encountered in the retail fieldI purchased a carport last year, within a few months someone damaged one end, so I called ordered the parts the 1st week of May 2016.....and like the other I am told they will be in the "area" in 3-weeksWell the last week of June they called, they are staging the order (one sheet of metal, one post, and one finish trimthe girl ask if I want installed...surprised that they would install I said yes! I asked how much, the girl put me on hold came back and said no extra charge...but instead of being delivered on July 1, it would be the following week, agreeing the week came...no call....I called and got the run around that they were trying to get a "truck" together....they called August 2, said they will be dropping off my material the following, I explain it was to be installed....I go round and round with sales girl, she puts me on hold comes back and said "management" is requiring a site visit (I had already provided pics on the building to make sure they understood the damage) At this point I requested to speak to a member of management, I was told they were not there...when I questioned the girl on who she asked...she then replied that all management was in a meeting....I told her to just drop it, and I will install...so my delivery date was August 18....no call..no materials, I called late in the afternoon, they "claimed" they could not reach the contractor, I called the following day....same story ...said they have been calling with no answer....I questioned this...why???? Ok today is August 31....I called again yesterday..now the story is ....let me get with management on when we can get it to you.....bottom line...THE ALL LIE!!!!!! DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM CAROLINA CARPORTS!!!!! Like me you might pay for the material but never get it!!!!! The time I have spent on the phone is stupid....they never call and I still have not received a call from management!!!! Jerks!!!!!!

As with the previous review, I too purchased this carport on Oct.16,and have yet to receive itOne excuse after the otherto weeks lead time has now turned into weeksMy husband has gotten the run around with every phone call and have been told the very same lines as the person in NY was told, the problem is I live in NC only hours away from headquatersThere is a Dealer miles from my homeWe have not had snow this year, we have had beautiful warm weather most of this winterSo those excuses do not fly with usYou see we live in the heart of the mountains of NC and if anyone was going to get snow it would be usI am very dissapointed in this company and will tell everyone I know of the experience I have hadThis was a Christmas present for my husband and while I did not expect to get it by Christmas I did expect it to be here in JanuarySo it seems now this company is telling all callers that their carport will be delivered Feb27/This is very unsatisfactory

I ordered a carport from them4-6-When they came to install it I went out to show them the sewage line which was next to where the carport was to be installedI showed him the direction the line ran, he said okThe cap to the sewage line was right there to be seen After the installation was complete they were pulling out with their big trailor I noticed also a big mark in my driveway I went out to see what it was & their hitch from the trailor sunk down into the blacktopI took pictures of it & sent them with my complaintAfter them refussing to help, they were to contact me back they never didMy son said let it go so I never bothered them any moreThen months ago my sewage line seemed to have a problemI had a plumber come in with a camera & seen that the sewage line was broke when they put the rebarb down through itdollars later I contacted them about it with an estimate to repair the line 0f dollarsThey said they aren't paying anything

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
Exception to this resolution: Carolina Carports must contact me within days to confirm I am on their delivery list and that my structure will be the first to be delivered and installed. Also, the contractors must contact me if any change in delivery is expected. Unlike last time, when NO ONE SHOWED UP AND NO ONE CALLED!
I EXPECT BETTER FROM THIS COMPANY!
Regards,
*** ***

I was told by my salesman that my carport would be installed with in weeks of my purchase dateI called on the 6th week to find out what day they would be installing itI was told that I wasn't even on a work order yet and that there employees take weeks off for Christmas and it would be after thatI was told they were backlogged and wasn't sure when I would be scheduledThe person I talked to didn't seem bothered in the least bit that They weren't going to install it in time or that she knew when it would be installedI wish I had known all of this a head of time because I would not have done business with this company!
