Century Manufacturing has voided account [redacted] in the full amount of $241.06. Our apologies for the delay in shipment and the miscommunication with management at [redacted].
The product may be kept at no cost.

As discussed, this product is not returnable.  In fact, you have been contacted prior to any deliveries to confirm and authorize any shipments.  Once the invoice [redacted] is paid this account will be closed.

Century Manufacturing has closed account [redacted] and voided the open invoice in the full amount of 280.00. No further contact will be made. The product may be kept by consumer or discarded the product is non hazardous.

They lied about the shipments and the contact they had.  This is clearly a scam on shipping different amounts with separate invoices.  We contacted [redacted] on several occasions to dispute this.  Below is the tracking we have: ###-###-#### They called us asking if we wanted to try their product, which I was in the market for a drain cleaner.  I ordered some to test out, which we received an invoice for and was paid.  A couple weeks later, they called and said only half of the product was delivered because there was a screw up with the shipping company, a damaged container or something and they were going to send the other half.  I asked if this was the portion which was paid for already and he said  yes, we will not be getting another invoice because this product was already paid for.  A couple weeks later we received an invoice for it.  I disputed and was getting nowhere so decided to pay for it since we could use it anyway.  A couple weeks later he called again saying there was a problem with the shipment again and I immediately stopped him and said you tried this st on me already, and to not send anything and to not call the hotel again.  A week or 2 later the product arrived and shortly after the invoice.

The response from the business is in no way acceptable. I did not
get a call confirming the shipment or authorize of a shipment for a product
that I did not even order. You cannot randomly send products to people and
expect them to happily pay for them. I did not order the products and I do not
want the products so I would like for the company to tell me how to go about
sending the product back to them and if they do not want the product back then
they can void my bill either way.

Century Manufacturing received an order from [redacted] on March **, 2014 for 20lbs of Degreaser. Material was delivered and signed for by [redacted].
From March ** to May **, 2014 there was no contact from [redacted] regarding the material or the invoice. Several collection calls were...

made because the invoice ([redacted]) was past due and there was no response from [redacted], in spite 11 voice messages and 6 faxes.  
[redacted] denies the charges on the invoice although all pricing was clearly explained to him. The sales representative did not offer a "free sample" but a smaller size from a larger quantity.
As opposed to making the invoice "disappear" Century Manufacturing is offering a reduced rate to close the account. Century will accept $65.00 as payment in full for invoice [redacted].
We feel that this is a fair settlement due to the fact that [redacted] ignored all collection efforts.

It has been resolved in that the City of Mexico Beach is not going to be required to pay for a product which was originally portrayed as a free sample.  However, what is not resolved is the fact this business was completely unethical in its marketing and sales practices and needs to be flagged as a warning to other businesses which may consider them for products in the future.  Not only was this issue not resolved but it was compounded in their response to my original complaint by their leveling of another falsehood:  their claim that I contacted them, searching for a degreaser for our liftstations is completely false--I was contacted by their salesman via a "cold call".  If the City of Mexico Beach was looking for products related to our sewer system, my Sewer Department Superintendent would have made the call and not me, the [redacted] (I have much more important, pressing issues to focus on instead of shopping for daily supplies).
The Revdex.com should utilize whatever warning or rating system available when it comes to this business as they appear to have a very serious lack of ethics, honesty, and integrity.

We should not have been invoiced for this product as it was sent to us as a free sample. We do not accept terms of 30% off, as free product should in fact be free of charge.
We have offered to return the product on multiple occasions, however Century Mfg refuses to accept the return. They claim the product is damaged, but they made this claim before we even received the product in the first place. We would be more than happy to return the product when they provide us with a return label. We will not pay for return shipping on an item that was sent to us as a free sample by the manufacturer.
We will also not pay $65.69 or any other amount in order to resolve this dispute. We will not take any further phone calls from Century Mfg regarding this matter.
Additionally, we noticed when filing this complaint that there were at least 160 complaints of the exact same nature filed against this company within the last 3 years. There is an obvious pattern of bait and switch by this company, and we will not fall victim to this scam.

Century Manufacturing is unaware of any arguing regarding payment for account [redacted]. On May **, 2104 [redacted] contacted Century to pay with a credit card. There was never a dispute filed or any statement from management at [redacted] advising Century that there was an issue with the product.

order that went out to [redacted] in June was remaining material due, although not paid for. Our apologies for the miscommunication regarding the amount shipped and paid for. In an effort to resolve this dispute Century will accept 176.96 as payment in full. Upon payment in this amount Century will note account closed.

Ordering Century Manufacturing Corp products online is easy. The products arrive quickly. Anytime I've had a question or issue, I've gotten quick and satisfactory responses. I will continue to use Better Life products and recommend them to others.
