I am rejecting this response because:My issue was not about the company's reputation and standing with their clients.  My issue, as stated, is with being directed to opt out of receiving mailings via the phone answering menu.  In fact there are 3 option, the third being that there is no interest and to be removed from the mailing.  I also am not "mad" that you won't remove my name from the public records databases.  I do believe that having the option to be removed is a bit ingenuous if, as you state, that you can't really remove a party per their request. In fact I received another of your mailings on Nov.22.   Seems that this renders your recorded message concerning removal ineffective.  But thank you on the information re: removal from public records (assuming that they can be effective)
Sincerely,
[redacted]

Tell us why here.. We are very sorry that our direct mail caused you annoyance.  That was not our intent. Please note this is NOT a complaint about our product or service.  This is a complaint about receiving mail.  We have never done business with you – nor have you ever...

attempted to do business with us.  This complaint is about you receiving direct mail from us, similar to hundreds of other pieces of “junk mail” every residential mailbox receives every year. Our clients are sophisticated and THE BEST!!  They have all researched our company before deciding to work with us.  Read the reviews of people who actually sold their house to us.  They are extremely satisfied with how we do business and we treat them with respect.  Most people have better things to do with their time than spend the money and effort and months needed to sell their house on the MLS.  We are excellent at solving their problem in a fair and transparent manner.  We always keep our word, there are no surprises at the closing table and we take their individual situation to heart.  We work our hardest to make their experience positive.  Our excellent reviews speak for themselves.  We have helped people hold estate sales, we have moved furniture, we have evicted problem tenants and helped them transition to their next step.  We are professionals and we are kind. All our mailing lists are taken directly from public records.  These public records are maintained by the county assessor and are available to any citizen or company.  Other mailers also take their mailing lists from public records.  Removing an address from a mail list on a permanent basis is something we are not allowed to do.  When lists are refreshed the public records can come back on the list – even after we have removed a particular mailing address.  Only YOU can take your name off of public record.  If I  could do that, I would.  I can see you don’t like junk mail….and I don’t either.  But it isn’t something I can legally do for you. The only way to be removed from any mail list that uses public records would be to remove your mailing address from public records by filing paperwork with your county assessor.   If you don’t remove your name, it will inevitably be added back into our and all other mailing lists.  You are welcome to call or text or email us when you receive something from us and we will, every time, remove you from our internal mailings but I won’t be able to stop mail all unless you remove your public record.

[redacted], Tell us why here...I appreciate the details you shared with me.  Let me clarify a few things for you regarding your statements.  The option 3 you are referring to when calling us is to be removed from our internal call list so we will no longer call you via phone regarding the home and it could take several weeks to take effect.  We do forward the list of removals to our marketing company but that recording also explains it can take several weeks to take affect and the info provided must be an EXACT match.   if you want to ensure you no longer receive our mailings and other 3rd party companies, the best way to do so would be the removal from public records which ensures quicker results and a more permanent solution, removal from public records can only be done by you, I apologize, we are not able to do that for you.  I hope this has provided a better explanation of the process for you.  Thank you for taking the time to let us know your concerns in detail.

I am rejecting this response because:  While they can get public records, I should still be able to OPT OUT or Unsubscribe to their mailings just as you can to magazines, emails, etc...
Sincerely,

I am rejecting this response because: I don't believe it is out of your control, once you have received notification from the homeowner. It is you who selects which vendor to use for mailings and yet you make it seem as though it is beyond your control. Do you enjoy killing trees? If you are so well known, and your customers give you great ratings as well, why don't you let the customer come to you, instead of harassing them. The fact that you have to use public records makes you appear pretty desperate. Also, if this is truly the reason I am ending up on your mailing list again, then why don't you indicate that this might occur in your message for the option of being taken off your mailing list. I pushed option #3, as indicated on your recording, and your message includes nothing referencing the fact that you choose your list from public records and that the person will automatically end up on the list again. Perhaps, I should escalate this to the media or to my lawyer, as my mail box is federal property! I am not at your liberty to receive ongoing harassment, including federally protected mail.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

First, I want to apologize for this inconvenience Mr. [redacted], I too would be annoyed by these calls if my number was on the DNC list.  After checking with several people, I was able to find out there was a glitch with our auto dialing system that is supposed to recognize all numbers on the DNC...

list.  I have been assured that this has been taken care of and you should not receive anymore calls from us.  Again, I am sorry for this error and appreciate you alerting us to this issue.
