[redacted] I have been a loyal customer for decades, and their "CUSTOMER SERVICE" disappeared in January of I finally quit their service entirely in May They apparently have no interesting in knowing why I sought services through one of their competitors [redacted]

I dont know what has happened with Cogeco however this year has been absolutely horrible for their phone wait times in excess of over hourThis has happened times to me this past monthsThe last time after waiting over hour the person on the other line said was doing a sound check ??????? and then hung up on meThis is the most frustrating thing because I knew if I called back it is another hour waitThe reason for my call was that they charged me more than what they had quoted and now I just dont want to wait that long on the phoneWhen I reasonably can I will absolutely drop Cogeco, the wait is unacceptable [redacted]

After I closed my Cogeco account, they withdrew $form my bank accountAccording to my rights, they are legally required to delete my billing informationAfter they [redacted] that money from my account, I was forced to take out a [redacted] loan to subsidize my incomeA [redacted] loan has a maximum amount on it, and it was never enough to cover my monthly expensesEver since the money was [redacted] from three months ago, I have spent over $1,in [redacted] loan fees, NSF fees, overdraft fees, interest fees, and late payment feesCogeco needs to reimburse me for the fees

MTH promo endedWe left the next day and they charged a $termination feeTerrible run around now with them to reverseBounced back from going to the store to phoning in GIf I'm in my 40s what chance do elders and other members of society have with any resolution? [redacted]

*echnical aspects OK but if you ever have a billing issue or need to speak to an agent be prepared to wait on the phone for extended periods like minutesI have waited minutes to have my call dropped and on one occasion I was speaking with an agent and the call was dropped this after about a minute wait alsoDo they call you back, nooothey want you to call again and wait another or minutes to get throughI also use [redacted] and [redacted] when traveling in the USA both have excellent customer phone service so companies can do it if they want toCogeco is terrible in this respect

Cogeco was suppose to disconnect our services on May 20th as we had moved We called to get it connected at our new address and they didn't show upThey could not give us a date when they could We returned all the boxes to them and went with a different service Our last payment to cogeco was May 17th$ We were payed up in advance so they owe us money They continue to send us bills and are now saying we owe $ We received a disconnection notice for [redacted] today which floored me, because it was suppose to be disconnected on May 20th I have resolved this issue with them so many times and nothing gets done They say it's resolved and I just keep getting more bills I am at a lost with them and have wasted so many hours on the phone with them I really would appreciate some help to resolve this matter once and for all

[redacted] On June 2018, my computer went down and I had to wait a week for Cogeco to bring out a new wireless modemA day later, and my phone service went down, and even today July 4, it is still only partially restored The worst of it, is try calling their technical support centre, and you have to wait and listen to recorded messages for five minutes, before being told there is a forty-five minute wait time, before you can speak to a technical representativeAnd, like the previous complainant, should that rep, dare to transfer you to another dept, or person, you can be assured of yet another forty-five minute delay It is clear to me that Cogeco have [redacted] , and simply do not have sufficient staff to cope with the problems [redacted]

I called cogeco for internet service and they offered me promotional offer for months and after that the charges would be basic feeI agreed but they never mentioned that this is contract neither did I agreed for any contract Called the call center many times, their average wait time they say minutes but was on hold for over minutes every call I madeAnd the last time the agent was [redacted] and hung up on meI just wanted to cancel my service and they told me I would be charged $ I told them why is that, because I m on a contract, which was never disclosed to meThe agent tells me its on your bill and I should read They can put anything on bill that doesn't mean I agree to it until I say verbally or sign the document .My concern is the [redacted] behaviour and without consent making user agree to their terms and clause, and the wait time or to reach them is like nightmare

Service cancelled in Apr and due to apparent system issues on their end they continue to bill and have refused to refund overpayment on final bil I had called in April to downgrade my plan due to lack of useI am rarely at this residenceThey incorrectly cancelled both internet and home phone but left TV activeThey were unable to fix so I decided to simply cancel all togetherCancellation date in their system April 19th They confirmed both the DVR and modem/gateway returned on May 4th I have called multiple times as I keep getting billed despite having no service and this is apparently caused by a system upgrade issueThey have created a case #XXXXXXXXXX which has been in place for several weeksI called again on the 24th of JulyOver days since original cancellation date and they can provide no info aside from processing and no estimated time of resolutionDue to their error not only am I still receiving system generated past due bills but due to overpaym

I have been trying since the day we signed with cogeco to get our cable working and its been a year We recently moved and we are now on our 4th service call and the latest was a no show from tech but he sent in that he called and knocked and no one was homeI have no missed calls from Cogeco and no one came to the doorthere were several people here and dogs and no one heard anyone or seem anyoneI called on Sunday to get them back in Monday and I was denied access to a supervisor by support techs and they kept passing me aroundThis is [redacted] customer service and to top it off I am paying for extra units that do not workI now am told its another days before anyone came out and its totally unacceptablecalls in weeks is unheard ofThey are advising me I am in a contract and cannot cancel without penalty which is also unacceptableMy account is in good standing and there is no reason for poor serviceThe staff mock you and pass you back into the Queue when asked

On June when I received my cogeco bill after their new system of billing I noticed they charged my rental for a dvr I ownedI was assured they did see it and would changed it model # MXXXXXTDRWhen they changed it, it messed up my receiver and it didn't workFinally after many calls and hours spent on hold they sent a tech, to my house on 5th He took my dvr and said it was a rental and left me another rental, left and said it would be working within the hour I was not home at the time when I got home I called and told them the tech ( [redacted] ) took my received and also the one he left was still not working they assured me he would return it the next day they saw the problem he did not returned it several calls and no manager ever to speak with or call me back as they told me they would I received credit for no service but that was all I had a tv that didn't work in my living room and credits, and they were no returning dvr I owned Finally on July I switched to *

BEWARE OF COGECO AS INTERNET PROVIDER A COGECO Internet Provider installer came to my home in North Bay, Ontario with his two tools (electric stapler and electric drill) but used the tools as WEAPONS to spray my beautiful hardwood floors and walls with staples and ugly exposed black TV cableA horrible sloppy installationReluctantly they sent a second installer to correct the installation This week I asked to have a jack moved to a bedroomSame installer came but refused to do the work Kicking up a tantrum he stormed out, leaving the door wide open in sub zero weather whereas my wife and I had just been released from hospital having had double pneumonia He tried several times to intimidate me with insults but I did not react Example he suggested that I hang the TV above the bed board Then he suggested the other wall which is completely finished professionally with mahogany built in shelves He seemed determined to aggravate He also seemed to be an indispensable employee who was giving his firm a bad reputation which baffled me COGEO Head office added insult to injuryThey seem to encourage such behaviour by not even responding to my complaint NATURALLY I AM SEEKING A DIFFERENT PROVIDER but this time I'm looking for a Provider who listens to properly service customers

Order cogeco service (TV+ Internet ) received email confirming order and time of installation Received second email day before installation confirming they would arrive between 8-11am next day A 2pm the next day I called Cogeco service and asked where service tech was Exactly min and sec later they took me off 'hold' and said that they did not schedule the install and would have to call me back to reschedule the installation I then asked why I was on hold for so long they said they had a 'new' service they were using that they were 'getting' use to I suggested that they should go back to the old one since there service was now worse then [redacted] ; I thought that was impossible until today

Trying to make me pay an early termination fee when I did not end it early Sep 8th is when I started with cogeco internet, I called to cancel aug 31st I said I am changing providers and my service is for year, please disconnectsep at 7.42am- 8:08am I spoke with a woman who said my final bill would be $I just got another bill for an early cancellation fee $I called to explain I am being ***med here and was told it is not a [redacted] it is a mistake, I said you mistakenly tried to [redacted] me out of this money, please remove this billAfter a minute call I was told I was correct the bill was a ***/mistake it would be creditedProblem solved?

Currently have phone, internet and cable with cogeco Have had nothing but problems from Cogeco for the last years especially with the Cable service We have had to get our boxes switch too many times to count because they keep failing The current box we have randomly shuts off multiple times a day causing the guide and any on-demand history to vanish The tech solutions don't have a solution and keep telling me to swap out the boxes which is a huge inconvenience for me no matter what way it happens The most recent solution is they don't know how to fix the problem so they are forcing me to upgrade my service and pay for features that I don't want and will never use plus will cost me more money Currently I have two standard boxes for $per monthThey want me to switch to TIVO for $per month plus to top it off there is an installation fee Why should I have to incur more costs because cogeco can't solve their own technical problems I was simply a

April was advised to upgrade to unlimited internet data to eliminate the fact that we could not watch [redacted] or [redacted] T.V did not help but now we are doubling our monthly payments Booked a service call in May (took day off of work) nobody showed up Re-booked the service call - it took two months for them to come and this time he did show up but we were told the order was stuck and there was nothing he could do to hook up a new modem Called on hold for over hours in total and today was told they could not and would not help as their system was stuck I asked to speak to a manger and was told there were none - ever! I immediately asked to cancel my service and was told I could not I repeated that I was paying premium rates getting no service, had lost days of work and now was stuck with Cogeco She said that is right I asked for her name and she said *** I said may I please have a last name and she said No Here I am completely dissatisfied and feeling that it is

Cogeco sent out a sub contractor that did not want to do the job we asked of him We asked if the [redacted] box was being used at all, he said no and to cut it off We did that to later find out that Cogeco used that box to get our home phone, which isn't working, along with our home security systemTried calling to get an appointment and speak with a manager and no one will escalate this for me Really upset that the technician told us to cut the line after asking times if they are connected to it at all, and he said no

I called Cogeco on April to cancel my phone plan, they were going thru some change and were not able to help me I was away and did not get a chance to call them back until June After holding on to minutes I spoke to a representative by the name of [redacted] I asked him to cancel my phone line He mentioned I have very high speed internet , I said I need that and not to change the Internet, simply cancel my phone He agreed to do that and said he would send me an email confirming the same When I received the emailed he had downgraded my plan from ultraFibre to without authorization I called back right away after holding on for another minutes spoke to a representative by the name of [redacted] who was downright [redacted] and said this change seems odd and a manager will investigate and get back to me in to days To date I have not heard back from anybody They changed my services from ultrato without consulting me, I work from home this is really effect

I automatically joined cogeco July as we have a group account with them for my co-operative housingWe each pay 40$ a month I have been trying to get cable from them (and paying for it) since July The first time I went to the store I was told my group account didn't exist I then called customer service, who set up my account but instead of sending me a cable box, sent me a disconnection kit I then went back to the store who provided me a cable box, but never added it to my account Apparently now they have been having technical issues for a month where they can not add my cable box, can not have supervisor call me, can not refund my money and will do nothing about it I have called upwards of times, and no one will help meNo one will transfer me to a supervisor as their system doesn't work that way Please help me, as this is the worst customer service experience of my life
