I had to switch to cogeco because of a move they had cancelled my home phone before the installation guys showed up and they were trying to install of the services that I pay for my package includes phone, internet and cable they said that I had to call the number and talk to them, and they forgot to realize that I had no phone line after months of arguing they finally resolved the installation problem but there is another one the cable running into my house was apparently no good and they had to bury a new one and they said they wouldn't do it and they refuse to properly bury the wire, currently they did a *** effort and they put it inches down and ran it over a sidewalk they told the ccts that they would credit me $ but they told me that I have enough credit and they wont pay up for their mistakes

Cogeco continues to bill me for services at my old home even though I cancelled services there effective August 1, which is when I also lost legal possession of that homeToday on December 10, 2018, I just received my fifth bill (after bills from AugSept., Oct., and Nov.) for the non-existent services at this home address (mail forwarding is in place)The actions of Cogeco are *** because I no longer have a contract with Cogeco and vice versaThe company has no legal grounds to continue to invoice meI returned all of the equipment long ago and thought I had managed things over the phone with agents before AugEach time I receive one of these ridiculous invoices, I call in and complain, to no availThe agents could care less, really, and don't seem to have the clout to fix anythingApparently, my service is still in the process of "being disconnected"after months

Cogeco offered months free package for first time tenants of a new building, little did I know that it was a marketing trick to get me pay more than $for every month after that without my approval

We signed up for Cogeco services in the beginning of AprilThe original installation was not completed properly, and was very unprofessionalI called to have the phone and extra boxes hooked up properlyI spoke with a very nice customer services lady and she helped me out
Unfortunately the new installers came the Saturday of the really bad snow storm and had to leave because of the road conditions

I called to let them know the installers never showed upAt this time the customer service agent informs me that cogeco's system is changing and she is unable to do anything for meShe advised me to call back in a week
I called back a little over a week later and set up another appointmentI discussed my issues with the agentHe said he would take off certain service charges and send another installer
I waited again May and again no installer showed up

I have called multiple times - used messenger online as well and have still not seen reimbursement It has been months since my cancellation now and do not find it acceptable to be waiting this long for a refund I would be getting charged 26.82% interest if I owed you money I should be getting my refund plus that at this point!

I picked Cogeco because they had a good month promotion BIG MISTAKE Called a month before my promotion was up An hour wait on the phone told to call back just before my contract ended on Jun Called a couple of days before Waited minutes on hold to be told I wasn't in the right department and then got hung up on Called back Another minute wait Finally was able to lowever my TV services, internet, and cancel home phone to save money After minutes of speaking to a representative they couldn't update my changes because of their "systems being upgraded" Had to call back again and wait another hour to ensure that they had made the changes They hadn't That finally sorted out I had to call for months because they have continually charged full price Their solution? Pay the full amount to avoid service charges!!! My last bill came in today and guess what? Full charges They now owe me over $in credits So I called and was on hold to get billing minutes Then transferred to cancellations another minutes I cancelled everything and demanded a credit on my account Finally I am done with Cogeco! *** ***

They won't contact me back after several emails Their website keeps kicking me out All I want is to cancel my services effective Sep so they don't keep adding charges to my account I've tried three times to call them and have been on hold for over an hour I've tried online complaint forms I can't even find their Ombudsman to contact at the end of it all

We used Cogeco Cable for years Then we noticed a few random overage charges for internet usage I didn't really think anything of them at the time, since the charges were minimalI did decide to call Cogeco, just to see what the cost for an unlimited package would be They quoted me the difference and after some discussion, we decided to keep our service as is because we only went over by a few GB twice in a month period
A few months after calling Cogeco to inquire about unlimited internet, our overage charges were astronomicalOne month it was over by GBThe next it was over by GB and the month after that it was over by GB Our internet usage had not changedWe don't download movies or play games, etcso we're not sure why that was happening
I called Cogeco and was sent from Billing to Tech Support The first person didn't offer much help, so I called back I was told that Cogeco sends an email to warn of overage charges When I asked which email address they were sending these notifications to, they said they send it to the Cogeco email address No one in our house ever uses that email address During all of our years with Cogeco, they never once told us about the warning emails; they've never verified which email address we could be reached atWhen we began using Cogeco as our internet and phone service provider, they didn't tell us that they send email regarding overagesWhen we changed packages over the years, they didn't advise us that they send emails warning of overagesThey also didn't even tell us about the website where we could view our account onlineOf course when I addressed this with Cogeco and asked that they remove the charges as they didn't notify us of any overages and didn't verify our email address, they said "we can't do that."
I'm very disappointed in Cogeco as this is a very underhanded and untrustworthy way of doing business

I have been a Cogeco customer for almost years Each year they offer you new promotions that expire after or months At which point you have to call in to customer loyalty and renegotiate your terms, typically after being charged the higher price for a couple months after you notice your higher bill, as they give no notice via email or your account page that the promotion you signed up for is ending
My Account went from $a month to $ In October I called into loyalty and was told my bill would be reduced back to my promotional rate of $a month You have to threaten to leave for *** each time and demonstrate a knowledge of their promotions I have done this dance for over decade and accept it However, this time they just never changed my rate, deny I ever called and refused to fix me services
I was supposed to have a night time appointment as I work during the day My internet was not working well and I needed a TV set up with their second box they were charging be for in my basement They called that day before to tell me I had a morning appointment, I called right away to cancel letting them know they made a mistake Next I get a night appointment from 5-and have the rep show up at my house at 3:30pm as it was a snow storm and he told me he could leave ft of cable and I could run it myself and buy a staple gun, but he was not staying
After this I called Cogeco with hour long wait times, and no one there could help as I showed two appointments cancelled and no one could schedule one without a manager Each time after hours on the phone on hold and waiting I had to hang up, as I do have a job Their service has never been this bad I read that wait times and errors were up 350% for and as a long term customer I have never seen their service or support anywhere near this bad After months of paying $over my agreed upon rate and refusing to ever issue a credit They only take money off your next bill, and then just never do it In the months I had sub-par internet service and no TV in the basement while paying for the second unit
After calling and calling never being able to reach a decision maker I finally gave up I called *** and switched I really do prefer Cable services, the only hope is that *** replaces Cogeco as they are not able to service the area any longer and are a shell of the company they used to be

In July of I terminated my services with Cogeco Connexion due to moving to an area that Cogeco does no serveI returned the electronic devices I had in a rental agreement with the agency promptly and updated them of my new address to ensure the final bill would be sent to my new locationHowever I recently discovered that I never received this bill and naturally forgot about it while dealing the difficulties of moving
My issue therefore is that in February of Cogeco (in my opinion) wrongfully sent my account to collections through a company known as ** *** *** and Collection Services Inc on *** *** Street in Toronto ONMy shock was indescribable as I have never missed a bill and had not received any information from Cogeco stating that I had missed this payment
I spoke with the agent at ** and learned of the multiple errors that Cogeco has made in regards to dealing with my accountIt seems that Cogeco had been sending my notices as per my request

-My husband and I moved to a new address April We advised Cogeco of these changes and got our cable/internet set up

I sold that residence and moved to a new city which didn't have Cogeco services I therefore phoned Cogeco to cancel my service, and gave them my new address for any furture correspondenceI used their shipping labels to return the modem and remote, mailing the items on the day of my move
I never received any further correspondence from Cogeco until three months later, when I received a bill for the cost of equipment This bill also warned me that if they didn't receive the money that week they would send the bill to collections This bill also included the final payment, which I never received and in the course of the move regretfully forgot all about
When I phoned Cogeco to clarify this bill, they told me the equipment piece was a box which attaches to your cable at the point of entry into your residence In my case, that was in the ceiling rafters in the basement I never knew it was even up there
I don't know why Cogeco didn't mail the bill to me when they were given my new address, and why they wouldn't allow for mailing time in their deadline Instead, I received the letter three months after I moved, with a scant two days within which to pay it before it got sent off to collections
I paid the bill online and was assured that they wouldn't send it to collections, but the whole experience was very stressful As much as I liked Cogeco's service, the billing experience was so negative that I wouldn't ever use Cogeco again

I cancelled my service when I moved in January, I paid the Dec bill twice in error, resulting in a overpayment of $206.33, its now $for some reason I have contacted Cogeco no fewer than times trying to get my money back I am told its in the mail etc
Last time I called in March I was told a cheque was mailed March 5th, I called two weeks later to say it wasn't received, it doesn't take weeks from Montreal to Kingston I also checked my last address to see if it went thereI was then told I needed to wait days until they would even CONSIDER tracking this "lost" refund
There was weird activity on my account that was revealed when I returned the equipment, different accounts were set up, money transferred etcI was told it was corrected and that my $credit was still showing
I think I have been more than patient waiting for my refund since December Obviously if my account was in arrears services would have been disconnected by now

I can't understand how Cogeco gets away with such horrible customer serviceI called Cogeco a few weeks ago, and after waiting several hours, finally was able to speak to a live person so that I could cancel my father's phone portion of his serviceAs if I hadn't waited long enough, I was transferred to yet another department where I waited another half hour where I finally was able to get this doneNow my father has his bill for this next month, and the phone was not removedHe is paying more money than ever because they also removed his loyalty discounts which I had also thought I had re-establishedIt was as if I hadn't called at allI got back on the phone, and waited minutes, transferred to billing, then waited another minutesThe representative found the mistake and gave him a credit, but this is applied for the next bill, not the one he owes nowI was also told that I would have to speak to the Loyalty department againI wonder how many times I will have to call to get the bill done correctly! And I don't understand why my father has to pay for a bill this month which includes a service he doesn't even haveI know it is being credited for next month, but he can't afford to pay for an inflated bill this month, and the customer should not be penalized for a mistake that Cogeco made! This is just the latest in a long line of issues that I have experienced recently with Cogeco regarding the accounts for both myself and my father
