[redacted] I have been trying to get service in my new house since MARCH 2ND 2018!!! Its is now July 18th They have no idea what they are doing there, and they have the WORST customer serviceI have had to probably make phone calls over the last and a half months, and every time I am on hold for about min being passed from person to personConsidering I have every reason to freak out and yell at them I have not and I have been nice and calm with themI have asked to speak to a manager multiple times and every time I have been told they will put a request in and a manager will call me back within a weekBUT this last time I called (which was was today) was because I was finally having a service technician come out to my house last night between 5-8pm and at the guy called and told me he wasn't coming and that I had to call and rescheduleso when I talked to the guy at cogeco he said there was an error on my account caused by their system so the technician couldn't do his work, he then proceeded to tell me that he put in to fix the error and its going to be another 2-business days till its fixedSo I asked will someone call me back and he said no I will have to call back ( so that means another morning of being on hold for 45min) so I asked him to put in a request to have a manager call me and hes like why they cant help you, theres nothing they can do for you! EXCUSE MEwhat the [redacted] is a manager forThe only reason I have not switched to another provider is because Im getting a deal through my builderso once that deal is upGOODBYE COGECO!!! Hopefully by 5months of waiting I will have service

Cogeco makes it impossible to end your serviceI am moving out of their service area temporarily and I needed to cancel however you cannot easily do this online and you cannot get through to someone on their phone lines unless you are willing to wait an hour! When I called and finally got a live voice I told the person that I simply want to cancel my servicesWhen cancelling service, it is very clear that employees at Cogeco are trained to redirect the call to another department to put you on hold for 30min time after timeAfter being on-hold another person picks up and says that they are not the right person and redirects you again only to wait another minutesThey obviously employ these tactics and coach their people to do this knowing that most customers simply hang upTheir tactic is neglect to make you hang up so that they can keep on charging you monthly The decision by management is to make it a painful process to cancel your services demonstrating a clear lack of management valuesNo other services (gas, water, electricity) gave us this kind of hardshipTermination was quick, pleasant and seamless with no cancellation fees Only when I became more authoritative with the third representative, asking this person not to continue deflecting the call to another person, was I finally able to cancel services but even that process was a lengthy oneOn top of this aggravating long and grueling experience they penalized me $for cancellation fees despite I was going to move back into their service area again in a years time with the potential of becoming a customer againThis is a complete lack of business ethics on how they handle exiting customers as well as the poorest of customer service aimed at penalizing those that have to leave their service areas due to movingIts hard to believe that this is a company operating within Canada [redacted]

On August 15, I canceled my internet and tv with cogeco and returned the equipment on August 15, confirming received by Canada piston August 17, I received a bill on August 17, invoice Number XXXXXXXXXXX for the full period for $asking for full payment Payment in full was done on September 8, by online bills banking On September 17, I received the invoice NoXXXXXXXXXXXX showing the payment and indicate a balance in my favor of $ After a couple of attempts to get our refund (cheque) delivered to our home address, the first attempt was on September 25, 2018, we were informed that the cheque will takes to weeksToday November 6, I was informed that the refund was not issue for unknown reasons and that I have to call billing department after am I believe that they are playing with my money and delaying to issue my refund

Requests for customer service can take from minutes to over hours for a Cogeco employee to respond to a callService issues requiring a house visit are offered a minimum of days outRequests to escalate to management are not accepted -- no manager will come on the lineRather, they offer a business day call back from managementTheir store in St Catherines does not exchange TIVO boxes that have failedApparently, customer retention is not an issue with any employee that I have reachedI want my service restored [redacted]

I can't understand how Cogeco gets away with such horrible customer serviceI called Cogeco a few weeks ago, and after waiting several hours, finally was able to speak to a live person so that I could cancel my father's phone portion of his serviceAs if I hadn't waited long enough, I was transferred to yet another department where I waited another half hour where I finally was able to get this doneNow my father has his bill for this next month, and the phone was not removedHe is paying more money than ever because they also removed his loyalty discounts which I had also thought I had re-establishedIt was as if I hadn't called at allI got back on the phone, and waited minutes, transferred to billing, then waited another minutesThe representative found the mistake and gave him a credit, but this is applied for the next bill, not the one he owes nowI was also told that I would have to speak to the Loyalty department againI wonder how many times I will have to call to get the bill done correctly! And I don't understand why my father has to pay for a bill this month which includes a service he doesn't even haveI know it is being credited for next month, but he can't afford to pay for an inflated bill this month, and the customer should not be penalized for a mistake that Cogeco made! This is just the latest in a long line of issues that I have experienced recently with Cogeco regarding the accounts for both myself and my father

Scheduled a hookup date with Cogeco two weeks in advance. They were supposed to come to hookup a cable line to my house. They said they'd arrive sometime between 8-5. Took a day off of work for the appointment. A technician never arrived. I did not receive any phone call or request to reschedule by phone or email. I am also unable to reach anyone through any of their 1-800 numbers provided on their website. At the moment, I have no idea what the status of my order is, why they didn't arrive or when they plan to service me next. Very disappointed that a company can operate this way.

I dont know what has happened with Cogeco however this year has been absolutely horrible for their phone wait times in excess of over hourThis has happened times to me this past monthsThe last time after waiting over hour the person on the other line said was doing a sound check ??????? and then hung up on meThis is the most frustrating thing because I knew if I called back it is another hour waitThe reason for my call was that they charged me more than what they had quoted and now I just dont want to wait that long on the phoneWhen I reasonably can I will absolutely drop Cogeco, the wait is unacceptable ***

I called Cogeco on April to cancel my phone plan, they were going thru some change and were not able to help me
I was away and did not get a chance to call them back until June
After holding on to minutes I spoke to a representative by the name of *** I asked him to cancel my phone line
He mentioned I have very high speed internet , I said I need that and not to change the Internet, simply cancel my phone
He agreed to do that and said he would send me an email confirming the same
When I received the emailed he had downgraded my plan from ultraFibre to without authorization
I called back right away after holding on for another minutes spoke to a representative by the name of *** who was downright *** and said this change seems odd and a manager will investigate and get back to me in to days
To date I have not heard back from anybody
They changed my services from ultrato without consulting me, I work from home this is really effect

In July of I called to discontinue using a secondary cable boxThey said they would send me a return label by email...they never did.( I live quite far from any of the stores for me to drop it off too by at least 2-hours away.) I called approximately eight times over the next few months and they always said it was on the waySometimes they said they would mail it to me because their email wasn't working properlyEventually I get a charge of $for unreturned equipmentI called again and still was told the email would be sent in hours and it would also be sent to me the following week through the postal service...neither happenedMy husband happened to be in the Toronto area and drove an hour to the Oakville store and dropped it offThey gave me a receipt that they received it on December 3, I have been billed again for the unreturned equipment and when I called they said they don't have any notes that the box was returned even though I have the receipt!

Hands Down Cogeco has the absolute worst Customer Service I have ever had to deal with in my entire life! Their internet service does not even meet 1/of what this company states when you sign up, mine the other night was actually coming in at MegsAfter calling cogeco yet again about this issue, I was on hold for mins, when I spoke to the 1st CSR I had to be transferedAfter waiting for another mins on hold I had reached a customer service rep named TIM, half way through explaining my issue, he replied he would have to transfer me, I said there is noway I am waiting on hold for another mins.....his reply unbelievably was TOO BAD, I said pardon me, did you just say too bad?? He then said YEP and hung up on me

BEWARE OF COGECO AS INTERNET PROVIDER
A COGECO Internet Provider installer came to my home in North Bay, Ontario with his two tools (electric stapler and electric drill) but used the tools as WEAPONS to spray my beautiful hardwood floors and walls with staples and ugly exposed black TV cableA horrible sloppy installationReluctantly they sent a second installer to correct the installation
This week I asked to have a jack moved to a bedroomSame installer came but refused to do the work Kicking up a tantrum he stormed out, leaving the door wide open in sub zero weather whereas my wife and I had just been released from hospital having had double pneumonia
He tried several times to intimidate me with insults but I did not react Example he suggested that I hang the TV above the bed board Then he suggested the other wall which is completely finished professionally with mahogany built in shelves He seemed determined to aggravate He also seemed to be an indispensable employee who was giving his firm a bad reputation which baffled me
COGEO Head office added insult to injuryThey seem to encourage such behaviour by not even responding to my complaint
NATURALLY I AM SEEKING A DIFFERENT PROVIDER but this time I'm looking for a Provider who listens to properly service customers
