*echnical aspects OK but if you ever have a billing issue or need to speak to an agent be prepared to wait on the phone for extended periods like minutesI have waited minutes to have my call dropped and on one occasion I was speaking with an agent and the call was dropped this after about a minute wait alsoDo they call you back, nooothey want you to call again and wait another or minutes to get throughI also use *** *** and * *** when traveling in the USA both have excellent customer phone service so companies can do it if they want toCogeco is terrible in this respect

Cogeco does not provide adequate customer service It is almost impossible to talk to them about the issueI have waited hours to talk to a person
I contacted Cogeco to replace my Tivo box with a standard box They sent one ;out with instructions on installation After trying for hours to hook it up, I contacted Cogeco I waited at least minutes to talk to the agent After a significant time agent was unable to resolve the issue I asked to speak to a supervisor, but one was not available, another minutes She said one would call baone did Since than I tried unsuccessfully to speak to a person Finally in despair, I took the unit back to Cogeco, but their were so many people waiting, I left the unit at the desk with a note about the problem Since no one contacted me, I contact Cogeco by email on their site No one replied I said in my email contact that I would pay for TV service till they rectify the situation I went to Cogeco yesterday and after waiti

After agreeing to switch to TiVo I have had nothing but problems for the last month and counting
TiVo boxes were installed but never activated, we are told that there is nothing that can be done because our account is frozen, can't even cancel my services which would be my preferenceWe have made numerous phone calls, waited hours on the phone with no resolutionI have submitted an on line complaint directly to Cogeco with no response despite their claim that I would recieve a responseWe have been customers for more that'll years and have Ben disregarded as though we mean nothing to CogecoSo we have been without tv service for one month, we visited the store at Limeridge mall today and were told that their is nothing that an be done are we just supposed to sit back and wait? I called Cogeco four times in July and August to notify them of my change of addressEach call took one and a half hours as their systems were being upgraded and response time was slowIn addition, I learned that any information I gave them could not be saved on the systemThey opened case number XXXXXXXXXX and told me management would follow up to ensure information was updatedI moved Sept and returned all the equipment to them Sept
Since then I received two bills for the months of September and OctoberI called each time and was told they would fix the billing problemNothing happenedToday I received yet another bill in the mail
All payments were current up until the date I moved and even though I provided them with my current mailing address I continue to receive mail forwarded from my former address

On April 15, I lost my internet, phone, and Tv services, I called in and they stated it was a result of ice storm and that they are switching their system overOn the next weekend, I lost my phone service again, they sent out a tech on the next sunday, he stated that the drop line was wet and needed replacing and he could not do it on that date, it was completed on the next TuesdayThe next weekend my phone did not work again, a tech came out on the Thursday and he said system we working fine, and it was that daySo of last Friday May 11, I have had no phone or internet service, Friday night May 11, they stated first available appointment was May 14th but it was all day wait, since I have to go to work I cannot sit at home The next appointment was made for May 15, between pm and pm, no one showed up, I called and they said there was an error and the appointment is May 16th between 5pm and pm No one showed up that night, I called back and they apologized and said their comp

After many painful issues with Cogeco, I'm filing complaintsIssue here is continued missing channels on all TV'sProblem;
One hour plus wait times occur when calling CS
Day wait for a tech
Tech refused to try and diagnose problem, claimed I had to remove a commonly used signal splitter, even though, I said we can simply by-pass it and testHe threw a tantrum and leftNow , it will be another days for another tech to come out
Having a technical background myself, I had already tested with a clean connection to the cable drop and one tv/receiverProblem was still evident
Tech refused to listen to anything I had to say

Hello.I have tried since April to resolve my issue directly with CogecoI estimate I have called them around times and still have not received a resolution.I cancelled my service April or but had prepaid until May There were no cancellation fees of any type owing on my part After continuing to receive invoices for service months after cancelling, and many many phone calls later, I finally spoke with a representative that acknowledged they owe me a refund of $plus tax The confirmation number was XXXXXXXXXX for the refund of service from April to May Months later and many many phone calls later I received a cheque for $ This is not the full amount owing to me I have been completely broken down by Cogeco's lack of customer service This should have been a very simple refund to issue It should not take dozens of phone calls to resolve Every time I call, I have had to wait on hold from 30-minutes just for someone to answer m

*** for years the claim to be updating their customer service telephone lines- just an excuse for waiting for 45-minutes on average to speak to a real person then you get transferred to someone else and the wait starts all over again not to mention arbitrary changes where they remove channels from packages and replace them with either nothing or lame substitutes *** ***

months ago, we used *** internet service and was happily please by the serviceThen a door to door salesman representing Cogeco arrived on my door stepHe informened me that they are offereing great deals, and if im willing to switch they will give me and even better dealI read the find print, find it only lasts monthsSo I stipulated to the representitive the only way I will switch, is if I maintain the promotion for yearsI had him write it on the physical contract I signed, and confirm it on his end that it was ok
Now months later ive lost my promotion and paying more then what I did with *** So I call cogeco, who directs me to thier "loyalty" departmentMy conversation with this representative was very short, probably one of the worst customer experiences ive hadHe was short, ***, and unhelpfulThe only solution he offered was to give me the latest current promotion, which would still raise my bill $and expire after months

Cogeco service was cancelled and equipment was returned May 12, A credit balance is outstanding on the account and a refund is owedWhen I returned the equipment I was told a refund cheque would be issued within SIX WEEKSWhen no cheque was received by June I contacted Customer Relations who said a refund would be issued within FOUR WEEKSI just called Customer Relations today July and they stated the refund is still owing and now a cheque will be issued within THREE WEEKSSo if they do issue a refund cheque within this three week period I will have waited THIRTEEN WEEKS for a refund***

I was a Cogeco customer for over yearsOn July I moved to ** *** Ave in Hamilton and on July the 2nd an installer came, he drilled the holes ran the lines to install our internetHe told us after calling into the office that he did not start the job via his device and that there was an IT problem and the could not complete the install but rather would book a service call to have this completed (For this I was given a credit of $25)My service call was booked four days later July the 7th only this service call never happened and was apparently cancelled by another deptI called at 8am to make sure apptwas going to happen only to be told it was cancelled (for this I was granted a credit of $55)She then somehow hooked us up to our old service from ** *** Ave N and gave me another service call date of July 20th But on the 12th of July while having dinner and was told my serice call had been moved to the next day July 13th from 5pm till 8pm time slot,

Cogeco sent out a sub contractor that did not want to do the job we asked of him We asked if the *** box was being used at all, he said no and to cut it off We did that to later find out that Cogeco used that box to get our home phone, which isn't working, along with our home security systemTried calling to get an appointment and speak with a manager and no one will escalate this for me Really upset that the technician told us to cut the line after asking times if they are connected to it at all, and he said no
