While I appreciate their timely response and their polite manner throughout the conversation, all they said was essentially "We're sorry you're sad." and that they would not use my personal information.  They will continue to market in the same semi-fraudulent way by making outlandish claims regarding pre-approval, and low interest loans, and paying off high interest credit cards; yet a large number of these cases the person is never offered a loan and the vast majority of the time an offer is actually made, it's for well over most credit card interest rates. Like most of the other complaints listed on the Revdex.com website, it isn't just that we got an offer in the mail.  I got offers on a weekly to bi-weekly basis for months and months.  Like most of the other people, we finally just gave in and capitulated.  I figured they'd just offer me a high interest 20% loan and I'd refuse, but at least I wouldn't get the mailings anymore.  But to then not even get a 36% loan offer?  A guy making over 100k/year can't get a $1500 36% interest rate loan despite being "pre-approved"?  When I inquired, I was essentially told that everyone is "pre-approved".  That means "pre-approved" doesn't actually mean anything.  And why couldn't a guy with my income get even a garbage high interest loan offer?  There was a  $180 phone bill listed as 'late' on my credit report.  If they determine I am pre-approved based on something they get from the credit reporting agencies, then why even bother sending me a letter twice a month telling me I'm pre-approved for a loan?

It appears that the customer was under the impression that she was applying for a refinance of her original Best Egg loan with the expectation that she would receive a lower interest rate. Unfortunately, loan refinance is not an available Best Egg loan purpose.  According to our records, the customer selected “debt consolidation” as her Best Egg loan purpose on her second loan application.  In addition, as previously explained, there are many factors that determine eligibility and requests for credit are subject to approval at the time of application.  Our records also show that the customer applied for a Best Egg loan through our “check your rate” process.  As disclosed, the customer was under no obligation to accept a loan offer by simply checking her rate. However, we have confirmed that the customer accepted a loan offer and subsequently provided verification documents prior to loan funding.  We hope this additional detail provides clarity and Best Egg considers this matter resolved.
