Mr. [redacted],Our records indicate that on June 9, 2015, you accepted an offer to settle your outstanding balance on your Verve card for just $365.72. The terms of this offer required that you make two equal payments of $182.86 on July 5, 2015 and August 5, 2015, respectively. The account...
remained in our system and was pulled into collection campaigns due to the account delinquency. Calls occurred between 8AM and 9PM local time and at no time did we make contact with you and attempt to call again on the same day. Therefore, the collection efforts were accordance with the FDCPA and no violations have been made. On June 24, 2015, you contacted our Customer Service Department regarding the collection efforts. Your phone number was removed from the account records and no furhter collection efforts have been made via this avenue. To date, we have not received your first settlement payment. To prevent the nullification of the offer, please make your full settlement offer payment of $365.72 by the final payment due date of August 5, 2015. Once you have satisfied the terms of the settlement offer, we will reverse all of the remaining fees on your account and you will have no remaining financial obligation to us. As previously stated in our response, your complaint is not regarding CFC. It is related to the collection efforts by UDH, the current owner of the debt. Therefore, any concern you have is with their agency. CFC, as a courtesy, reached out to their agency and requested their response to the Revdex.com complaint that you filed against CFC incorrectly and provided their information in our formal response to the complaint. However, any anticipation for a change to business practices is related to UDH, not CFC.
To address the concern over the conversion of this account from a Discover to a MasterCard, we are including a copy of the conversion letter that was mailed to you on October 21, 2013 advising of the conversion. It allowed you the opportunity to have the account closed upon conversion, which you did not request and you have used the MasterCard for purchases since the conversion date. With respect to your concern over the original terms of the Discover card, as indicated on the conversion letter, no changes were made to the terms upon conversion. Credit limit increases must be requested and, due to regulations, a credit report must be obtained to determine your credit worthiness. At the time of our previous response, you were not eligible for an increase due to the account was over the credit limit by $100 and was 51 days delinquent. As of the date of this response, your account is over the credit limit by $157.68 and is 70 days delinquent. In order to apply for a credit line increase you need to bring the account current and wait a 90 day period before you can apply for an increase.

The company has responded that it received applications for credit using my personal information. While that may be the case, those applications were not made by me. That is the whole point. Furthermore, the point of my complaint was that the applications never should have been allowed to go through without a request for additional information from me, because there was a fraud flag on my account. Indeed, the company itself sent me PDFs showing that these false applications were not allowed to go through because of the fraud flag. The company doesn't address those in its cover letter, however. Instead, it says that the applications required additional information, which was requested from me and not provided, and therefore the applications were turned down. Yup, additional information was not provided by me, because THE APPLICATIONS WERE NOT FROM ME. That is precisely the reason why they should not remain on my credit report. When the company did not receive from me the identifying information it requested, it should have concluded the applications were fraud and removed the applications from my credit report. If that weren't reason enough, the fact that I am telling the company now that the applications were not mine certainly should be.

Yes, they did finally remove the annual fee, AFTER you got involved, after stringing me along on the phone for 2 months. And they did remove the monthly fee. However when I first signed up for the card I specifically asked if I can cancel before the year is up and was told yes, you can cancel to avoid these new fees that kick in after 1 year. And once they removed those 2 fees as usual , I made my payment ON TIME, like I have EVERY MONTH since i've had this card. But I am not alone in this, if you look online you'll see hundreds of complaints about this company cheating people. And I am letting them know right now, that I WILL NOT MAKE ANOTHER PAYMENT on this account if there is another 12.00 charge put on there again. I will go to court, and wait til I get a letter from a collection agency stating they'll accept 1/2 the balance, before I pay them another penny, if they continue to try and cheat me with these fees. I was A VERY GOOD CUSTOMER, and they are treating me like this. I will continue to pay their high interest, because I signed on for that, and that is legitimate, but I will NOT PAY any ridiculous 12.00/month fee on a 270.00 balance. If the 12.00 is removed, I will continue to make my monthly payments ON TIME EVERY MONTH, like I always have until its paid off, but I will NOT PAY any of these scam fees that kick in after a year. Its up to them at this point, they can collect every cent on the account and interest, or they can try and cheat me for an extra 12.00 and NEVER COLLLECT on the account, until they sell it to a scavanger company for pennies on the dollar.

Your account was written off as a bad debt on 9/30/15 and was sold to UDH, an outside debt buyer, on 10/30/15. Upon sale of the debt, CFC had no further relationship with you and cannot assist with concerns over the collection efforts by the current owner of the debt. We have forwarded...
your concern to their agency and you will receive a response after their review.
We cannot accept unsigned documents. Additionally, this document must be notarized to validate authenticity.
As stated in our previous response, you have already received a refund of the late fee and your account is now current. No further action is required as we find that your request was to have the fee waived and the account current, which has already occurred. This situation has been resolved. Additionally, not all calls are recorded.

Those charges were on the old card prior to its expiration. I will be reporting to FTC and contacting an attorney. I NEVER activated the new card.
Regards,
As indicated during the call on April 25, 2016, the statements you are receiving are 5 days after your due date and are the next billing statement with a due date 25 days from the date you receive the notice. Therefore, you are not receiving statements late as you indicated. The...
late fees that were assessed were due to your failure to make your payments timely or satisfy the total required payment due during each billing cycle. Additionally, you had received 2 late fee reversals last year so you were only provided a refund of 1 late fee on March 23, 2016. Since the fees have billed accurately to your account, we are unable to honor your request for additional late fee reversals. Your account is at a current status. Please remember that when you receive the notice that your statement is available it is for the statement that just cycled and is not regarding your former payment due date.
Sincerely,

appear below.Due to the fact that I was sent to collections only 3 days after missing a payment, which I had not ever been late before, thus ruining my credit for thisRefusal of reversing the $27 late chargeJust as the company called regarding the missed payment, this company could have placed a courtesy call before or reminding me before payment was dueSending a consumer to collections only 3 days after missing a payment and charging a late fee only shows that this company does not have a concern for their customer, I will still be filing complaints with the ftc, consumer affairs, ripoff report, and the attorney general for not properly informing myself of said collection activity in writting, therefore, no, this matter is not resolved, and I will be closing my account and never doing business with this company again.

Don't do business with this shoddy company! I needed a credit card for an unexpected trip. The first thing they do is bill you $125 processing fee. Then they ask for a payment that day. (You can tell them you are paying on the due date). So I get my statement. My payment is due on the 27th of the month. So I pay my July payment on July 25th, I pay my August payment on August 27th and then I make my September payment on September 3rd. So now I am ready to make my October payment by October 27th. I get an email on October 7th, telling me that my payment is past due and now I owe 105.00. WHAT??? I call them and I am told that because I paid on the September payment on the 2nds, it was processed as an extra August payment and so therefore I am late. So now I still owe September and I owe October and a $35 dollar late fee. She said if I would have paid on September 4th it would have been the September payment. She would not help me but got a supervisor. I got the same runaround and he said he will talk to corporate. So now, although I paid my payment early, I owe late fees, an extra month payment and they are turning me over to credit bureaus as a late pay. I am cutting this card up and paying these loan sharks off ASAP. Don't do business with them!!

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. I have filed a complaint with the Delaware Dept. of Banking, and they are investigating this.I have to call in every month to get the fee adjusted from $12 to $10, in addition to ALL of the other problems that they have caused me, from revoking my card to sending back online payments as their system rarely works. In fact, they never even responded to this complaint at all. I was told that it had been closed. They should credit me for the entire balance on the card for my aggravation.

I stated on my initial complain that the account was closed back in November 2015 via phone. However, and most recently I've received a billing statement from your company stating that my account still open. I need to know if a written letter is neeed for Verve to FINALLY and PERMANENTLY close my acoount.
