I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
GE's response is a complete lie!1.  GE's technician was well aware of the safety issue when he initially came out. He fixed a lighte and ordered  a burner part not because it was rusting; it was because it was damaged and started to rust where it was damaged when it blew up. The tech also ordered a knob which was damaged by the fire explosion.2.  GE called me on 5/31; he argued with me acted like an it when I mentioned to him that a complaint was also filed with US Consumer Product Safety Commission.  I agreed to let his technician come and inspect along with the refrigerator which was not scheduled  for repair to my knowledge. When I called GE a couple of days ago to check the status; I was told the service ticket was closed and there were no records of any parts being ordered.3.  On June 2, I received parts for the refrigerator and they were the same parts that were tried out by the technician at least twice before and did not work. Technician's 4th attempt top fix the refrigerator in early May failed and he told us that he would order the part that was originally in the refrigerator since the newer version of the part didn't work with three replacements.. I called GE and asked why they ordered the exact same part knowing it wouldn't work; and I mentioned again what GE's technician told us about ordering the original part but this it started to ague again with me and refused to order the correct part. I TOLD HIM TO SEND TECHNICIAN TO LOOK AT THE COOKTOP BUT NOT TO TOUCH THE REFRIGERATOR UNLESS THEY HAVE THE CORRECT PART. I ALSO TOLD MY WIFE THAT GE'S TECHNICIAN WAS NOT ALLOWED TO WORK ON THE REFRIGERATOR. 3.  GE's technician arrived on June 6 and started to work on the refrigerator. My wife called and I spoke with the technician; I asked why he was working on the refrigerator when I have NOT given permission to touch it. His response was that he had a service ticket to fix it but its the same part that has failed to work and there is no point of trying it again. He also said that the part had visual defect in it. He then looked at the Cooktop and said he noticed the problem and gas smell but I told him not to fix it since an investigator from the US Consumer Product Safety Commission is already scheduled to inspect the unit on June 10.4.  When GE's technician came on March 16 and inspected the Cooktop; he order some parts but at the same time gave me a number to contact GE due to safety issue. Three days later; I received incomplete parts so I called that number and spoke to a lady. She said she will not be able to order any parts since the issue is related to safety which is handled by another department and then she transferred me to that depart. Another lady picked up and I asked what department was it; I was told they handled issues related to safety of the products. I explained to her my issues and only response I got form her was "we are not going to replace the unit". I ended my conversation immediately and hung up the phone.

Our service has confirmed there are not issue with the consumer’s refrigerator temperature.    He is seeing normal fluctuations.   He believes there is an issue based on the improper way he is measuring the temperature.

Thank you for the opportunity to review this consumer's situation.
I have spoken with Mr. [redacted] and apologized for the trouble he's had with his GE microwave.  There are a few pages of the Use and Care book that I would recommend him read which are listed under "Important Safety...

Instructions".
~Use this appliance only for its intended use as described in this manual. Do not use corrosive chemicals or vapors in this appliance. This microwave oven isspecifically designed to heat, dry or cook food, and is not intended for laboratory or industrial use.
~Operating the microwave with no food inside for more than a minute or two may cause damage to the oven and could start a fire. It increases the heat around themagnetron and can shorten the life of the oven.
Mr. [redacted] has informed me that the microwave was being used without a food item in it and had it on for more than 2 minutes.  This appliance has been deemed "non-repairable"  by an authorized GE technician.
I am sorry there is no further assistance I can offer at this time.
Please contact me if you have any further questions or concerns.
Sincerely,
[redacted]Program Manager

I received an e-mail from Ms. [redacted] asking that we refund her 80% of the cost of the unit instead of my offer of 75%.
I agreed to 80% refund of the unit cost.  I offered to send a check in the amount of $600 and asked that she have the unit disconnected for our local delivery company to pick it up at the same time they deliver the check to her.
I am waiting for her response.
Sincerely,

These machines may have been designed as they say but these have not been put together correctly and my daughter and I are not satisfied.  My daughter sent an e-mail to customer service about the instructions which she has been following all along and GE just won't face the facts that these machines are not doing what they think they are.!  We will go further with this!!!!Regards,

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I am very much aware that my model was not apart of the recall. The offer I received was to purchase a new washer for the amount of $441.67. The cost I was quoted to repair my current washer is $442.90. This is not a significant savings or enough to make me want to continue being a customer of GE. The model which was selected has a msrp value of $500.00. My local retailer has that exact same model with a sale price of $359.00. It is redundant for me to pay $441.67 for the same washer that I can purchase from a local retailer at a lesser cost. Yes, my washer is eight years old but a complete tub and basket should not have to be replaced. My mother has a washer that she has had for twelve years that has not needed any repairs. I disagree with the statement about it not being a safety concern. A washer filling with smoke, smelling like burnt rubber that could have caught fire if I was not home is not a safety concern? As a result of the smoke and smell of burning rubber, I have to replace my work clothes which is an inconvenience since I have to spend more money. If the Representatives of GE are willing to sell me the washer for the exact price as my local retailer of $359.00 with an extended 3 year warranty, I will purchase the washer and give the GE brand another try as oppose to one of its competitors.
