Thank-you for the opportunity to review this consumer’s situation.  I called and let the consumer know today that we are waiving the charge for the Wall Oven Glass part.  We have also waived the home call.  Finally we have discounted the labor for our technician...

to install the part by 25%.  The consumer is responsible for paying 75% of the labor charge.   Please contact me if there are any other questions or if I may be of further assistance.

Thank you for the opportunity to review this consumer’s situation.   I spoke with Mr. [redacted] today 5/9/17 and offered to schedule a Factory Service Technician to come out to diagnose the issues he was experiencing.  He requested that we waive the Home Call fee of $99.95.  His unit...

We accept the resolution from GE and understand that the parts and labor will be provided to us at NO COST.  In our initial complaint, we also requested that we are reimbursed for the service call to Gershey's in the amount of $95.40.  We hope this will be the end of the problems with our GE dishwasher and for that matter all of our GE appliances.

The repair man came out to my home on 5/23/2015 and made some repair to my washing machine. My husband stated that the repair man was no in the home no more than five minutes and then he was completed with the repairjs. My husband and I and my son went to Miami for the holidy and return back on 5/23/2015. I got home at approximately 5:40 on 5/26/2015 and proceeded to put a load in the washing machine and the washing began reading LIP and would not work. The repair men had came out at the wrong time when he was scheduled to the repairs two weeks ago. General Electric did give me money to go the laundry mat until I got paid. So know I have ran into the same problems. My washing machine is not working and they havae just put a new motor in the washing machine in November 2014 and it still not working. The women tha tthey originally took the call advised me that she was going have the repair men talk to the engineering department while he was doing the repairs, to make sure that the washing machine was fixed correctly. She also advised me that she was going to callme on 5/26/2015 to make sure that the repairs was done correct and that the washing machine was working properly. She advised me two weeks ago that the service callw as from 1-5, and everyone else said 8-5 like I don't have a life. So know I have clothes piled up again, do not get paid again until the end of the month and I have waited four weeks for repairs, and risking the fact that  my son has asthma and id allergic to coach roaches, and that is what the laundry mat is full of taking him there and getting and allergic reaction.
At this I am very frustrated, I am broke my clothes are piled up.  The fifty dollars are gone. It takes 6.83 for a medium size washer and I have to go at least twice a week to stay caught up. It also takes a good amount of money to dry all of those clothes not including gas and time. The washing can not be compared to the one that they replaced it no way shape or form. At this time they would realize that this washing machine is no good, and it should be replaced with a much better washing machine. Until they need to give the money to do my laundry, or give me a loaner until they decide what the appropriate action should be taken. Patching this washing machine up is not the answer.

made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that I have to wait for the dishwasher to first be repaired before determining this a resolved issue. GE determined that there was a known issue with the dishwasher....meaning that the heater and harness has a known problem and GE is aware that they fail and break according to the tech they sent out. The tech (names [redacted]) ordered parts to fix it and I am now awaiting the service appointment to replace the broken parts which GE knows that the parts fail. I'm not sure why GE just doesn't do a recall on the dishwashers if it is a known issue as I was told by GE tech and engineering guy.
So after they fix it, and after I run it a few times or a little while then I can determine if issue is resolved or not. So please don't close this claim. Thanks

 UPDATE FROM CONSUMER:
As per our conversation of 3/19/2015, I would like to adhere to the initial complaint in regards to the dishwasher and this is a rejection to GE's response. GE attempted to put in a fix on the dishwasher on 3/10/2015. This attempt did not fix the problem and the dishwasher is still not functioning properly. We tried all different possible dishwasher cycles and configurations of items inside and the dishwasher still continues to produce below poor results and just plainly does not work. This appliance seems to be a Lemon. At this time we are requesting for reimbursement of the amount stated in this claim so that we may purchase a working dishwasher. Thanks and Regards, [redacted]

the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Since I purchased the part on my own and repaired the appliance on my own, GE is unwilling to reimburse me for the expense of the part, which should have been under warranty.  I was told that if I had not done this, something could have been worked out to a certain extent.  I assume GE expected me to go weeks without a working refrigerator/freezer while this issue was on the table.  It appears the matter will not be resolved, so I will not be amending my complaint the GE has failed to back their faulty product.
