Review: Dear Revdex.com NJ,Ever since I bought this phone in July 2013 I had problems this it. The technical support special (Terr 2) determined it is the Device after 5 months of troubleshooting, so they send me a replacement phone but unfortunately I lost contact with my clientele and friends. This replacement phone has similar problem which is not receiving calls. On 11/23/2013 [redacted] from Cricket TERR 2 Tech support said there is nothing more Cricket can do for me, he said the problems are with the rest of service providers not Cricket. The phones are so unreliable which left me with no choice but to buy a different one. I would like a full refund of $570.00 plus damages, which totaling $990.00.Sincerely,[redacted]Anyone having problems with receiving calls on the Galaxy S3?________________________________________ Results 1 to 6 of 6 Thread ToolsoShow Printable VersionSubscribe to this ThreadSearch ThreadAdvanced Search1.07-25-2012, 12:55 AM Thread Author #1 [redacted] ________________________________________Posts4 Posts Anyone having problems with receiving calls on the Galaxy S3? Review: I VISITED CRICKET STORE ON MIDWAY BLVD ON MONDAY. THEY TOLD ME TO WAIT UNTIL FRIDAY THRU SUNDAY TO GET GALAXY 4 ON SALE. I WENT BACK ON FRIDAY THEY SAID THEY HAD NO INVENTORY, EVEN THOUGH THEY WERE ADVERTISING IT. THE RETAIL STORE SAID TO GO TO WEB. WEB IS STILL ADVERTISING SALE PRICE OF $279.00 BUT LINKS DO NOT WORK. CALLED CUSTOMER SUPPORT, THEY CUT ME OFF 5 TIMES. I WAS TOLD DIFFERENT STORIES SUCH AS "HOLD FOR SALES", " WILL TRANSFER YOU TO SALES" TO " YOU MUST CHANGE PHONE NUMBERS". NONE OF THESE ISSUES, SUCH AS STOCK AVAILABLE OR HAVING TO SWITCH NUMBERS WERE ADVERTISED OR DISCLOSED DURING SALES AND WEB VISITS. [redacted]) WAS THE LAST REPRESENTATIVE AT THE 800 NUMBER THAT CHANGED STORIES THEN CUT ME OFF.Desired Settlement: CRICKET IS ACTIVELY ADVERTISING THE GALAXY 4 AND SHOULD PROVIDE IT AT THE ADVERTISED DISCOUNTED PRICE, AND LEAVE MY NUMBER INTACT. I WANT CRICKET TO CONTACT ME AT [redacted] TO EXPLAIN HOW THEY WILL ACCOMPLISH THIS. I HAVE MADE MULTIPLE STORE TRIPS, SECURED FUNDS AT BANK AND BEEN CUT OFF WEBSITE. I WANT THE PHONE AS ADVERTISED. IF THEY DON'T PLAN ON PROVIDING THEM THEY SHOULD NOT ACTIVELY ADVERTISE AND LURE YOU INTO EXPENSIVE, TIME WASTING TRIPS AND WEBSITE. I WANT THE GALAXY 4 FOR $279.

Review: I purchased a brand new ZTE Score directly from the mycricket.com website. I already had Cricket service and did an upgrade. When I got the phone the Muve Music didn't work so I called them to see why. 55 minutes and 7 reps later, they tried to tell me this was a flashed phone. I had every piece of paperwork to prove it wasn't. After another 45 minutes I got a person who knew what they were doing and came to find out the SIM card that came with the phone was used and belonged to a different person, different carrier, different phone number. They had to reprogram the entire phone and card to get it to work. I am really angry that I bought a brand new phone from them and they put a used card in it. When I buy something new, I expect new.Desired Settlement: I want a brand new SIM card that has never been used or reconditioned at no cost what so ever to me. That was supposed to be included. Not a used one.

Review: My husband and I decided to get cricket on the 23rd of October. WORST MISTAKE EVER! My husband and I both got semi pricey phones and were excited to get something more than $30 [redacted] phones. BAD IDEA! When we got the phones we had to pay for the first month of service as well as the first payment for buying the phones. The pricing was not terrible, however they want the payments every other week and they take it out of your account WITHOUT telling you! The i
t girl that was helping us purchase the phones kept taking so much that her session kept signing out so she has to sign back in and start all over again numerous times. Then she couldn't get the automatic bill pay (for the phone bill, not the payment for buying the phones) set up because she was doing an account inquiry, not a pre-authorization, and she was entering the wrong zip code. Two weeks later when the phone payment (for buying the phones) was due I went into the store to make the payment, and this time finally got the automatic bill pay set up (phone bill only). Today I looked at my bank account and saw that they had double dipped into my bank account! I went back to the store that we bought the phones from and tried to get the issue resolved only to find out that the people financing my phone were a completely different company and that there was nothing they could do about the money that was taken from my account. Ok, I can understand that. However when I asked the manager why this was the case, and why we were not told about this he started to argue with me and yelled at me. This problem escalated so much that we decided we did not want the phones any more. The manager made excuse after excuse as to why he could not return the phone. He even called my husband a LIAR!!! He said over and over again that we were not being honest. Once he did decide that he was going to refund the phones he told us that he was only going to refund $40!!! We paid $211.88!!!!!! When asked why he was going to refund so little he said it was because that store was not a corporate store. We were lied to, mistreated, yelled at, and argued with! They did not tell us that the payment for buying the phones was going to come out of our account automatically and when we wanted answers they were rude as hellDesired Settlement: get them to stop double charging people

Review: This is based on 3 factors that rendered this visit, and transaction history with cricket to be hugely dissatisfied. First issue I encountered was the fact that there was false advertising since I was mentioned by sales team clerck that indeed with this phone I will get 4G LTE service in my phone which later found to not be true as 4G LTE service is not even available in my market. Then, since I wanted to port in a number from another carrier I was told that within 1 week or less I would be contacted by porting department to check if I was gonna be able to port in that number (which in this case I was never contacted by [redacted] @ cricket). 3rd and lastly I had it with their lack of communication with me, and any other hierarchical chain of command that retail stores have to follow to corporate stores, but since Jan 15, 2014 I started to come in to the store following coming in the 17th, and 19th. I have made several calls on those days prior to coming into the store. Having my story told to them I was able to still have warranty on the headset to have my money returned, but that did not happened. I was just aggressively received by personnel with no regards to my situation, and giving me stories to why I would not get a return on my phone. I had rights until that day to have that return, but now i'm just here sitting with a really expensive phone which I cannot use and is just basically sitting there. I would hope that there could be regulations to protect the consumer from false advertising and poor business practices by Cricket.Desired Settlement: I deserve a refund for this purchase since the phone has been protected since day one with a case, screen protector and all the possible way to not inflict any physical or logical abuse to the device. I am entitled to that refund and i'm planning to resort to all the channels available to make this clear, not for revenge, or out of spite, but because it is the right thing for the company to do.

Review: Cricket Wireless knowingly sold cdma phones to unknowing customers of a pending merger with [redacted]. They knew cdma phones would become obsolete in an unreasonable timeframe from the date of sale, yet they continued to sell the phones at full retail cost. Gsm phones will be the only ones that [redacted] and cricket can use in a year. There is significant evidence that cricket and [redacted] were discussing acquisition details in months leading up to the actual sale. I had no lawyer present at the time of sale of the phones and there was no information provided to me when I asked if Cricket would be bought out. The employees laughed it off as though the phones being purchased would be usable for years to come... something we now know is not the case. I was very upset that Cricket knew of this last fall and still continued to sell these phones at full retail cost. There is another matter I find to be concerning. You now offer a 5 smartphone plan for $100. Granted the plan has less internet usage offered, it is still a much better deal than you should be offering to people who also have less phones. That would bring my plan from $80 per month to $40 per month if you offered it to people with a dual lines. This would not be an issue IF we signed contracts, however, we did not. This is a month to month service and equality is the only way the company should be operating.Desired Settlement: You can let me know what your resolution to this growing problem is and I will rebuttal.

Re: [redacted]
Revdex.com Complaint ID: [redacted]
Cricket Account No: [redacted]
Dear Sir/Madam,
This correspondence is in reference to a complaint filed by [redacted] regarding Cricket service. In her complaint, Ms. [redacted] states that Cricket knowingly sold CDMA phones to customers who were not aware of a pending merger with [redacted]. She states that Cricket knew CDMA phones would become obsolete in an unreasonable timeframe from the date of sale, yet continued to sell the phones at full retail cost. She states that GSM phones will be the only phones that [redacted] and Cricket will use in a year and that there is evidence that Cricket and [redacted] were discussing acquisition details in the months leading up to the sale of Cricket. At the point of purchase she asked if Cricket would be bought out and the employees did not provide her with information about the acquisition. Ms. [redacted] states that Cricket offers 5 lines of service for $100.00 per month. She feels that it should be offered to others who have less than 5 lines of service, if she paid the same rate as those who have 5 lines for $100.00 her plan would be reduced from $80.00 to $40.00 per month.
We apologize to Ms. [redacted] for any inconvenience or poor service she felt she received. Cricket strives to provide excellent customer service and we regret when that high standard is not met.
On July 12 2013, it was announced publicly that [redacted] intended to purchase Leap Wireless International (Cricket). The transaction was subject to review by the [redacted] and the [redacted] as well as other routine closing conditions. Until the transaction was approved and filings complete on March 13, 2014 we remained competitors with [redacted] and their prepaid brand [redacted]. Upon completion of the acquisition, we notified our customers of the upcoming changes and although the financial transaction for our merger is complete, we still have a lot of work to do in order to combine our brands. As a current Cricket customer, there is nothing that Ms. [redacted] needs to do right now. Her phone and phone number will continue to work and her monthly rates will remain the same. In the not-so-distant future, we will send Ms. [redacted] special communications inviting her to a new Cricket store when she’s ready to choose a new plan and phone to enjoy Cricket’s new reliable, nationwide 4G LTE network. We will keep Ms. [redacted] and all of our customers updated as soon as we have more information to share. We ask Ms. [redacted] check the following website, [redacted] for updates.
Cricket determines pricing and promotions at the sole discretion of its business. Not all promotional pricing may be available to all customers in all areas. Certain promotions may require activation or purchase requirements. New customers activating service automatically qualify for Cricket’s 5 for $100 plan with the purchase of three of more smartphones. Existing customers with three or more lines of service can qualify by adding a new line or by upgrading a basic line of service to a smartphone.
In reviewing Ms. [redacted]’s account she has two smartphone lines and in order to qualify for the promotion she would need to add a third line of service. Regrettably, we are unable to make exceptions to the promotion requirements and cannot offer this rate plan to Ms. [redacted] at this time.
We thank Ms. [redacted] for her communication and trust that this explanation properly addresses her complaint.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
Since April 11, 2014 when I filed my Revdex.com complaint, I have had 2 random fees charged to my account and YOU SUSPENDED MY ACCOUNT. MY ACCOUNT IS PAID THRU MAY 24th. [redacted] You do not typically charge customers for 2 months of service in advance. Why would you charge me on April 25, 2014 for services for May 25, 2014 thru June 24, 2014??
Review: I have had an active Cricket account for almost three years. I paid my latest bill for two lines on April 22, 2014, and four days later my phone stopped functioning. I sent a message to a friend, left my phone on the couch, and when I returned it was turned off and would not turn on again. I tried charging it and changing the battery, but it will not turn on. I contacted Cricket on April 27 to disconnect the line to my non-functional phone. I asked them to prorate my four days of service and apply the difference as a credit to my bill for the next month, since I would still have a line open with them. They refused to do so, and on speaking to a call-center supervisor, I was told his superior would call me back in twenty-four hours. At the close of the phone call, my line was not disconnected because I would not agree to their terms. 25 hours later, I have not received a phone call. I stopped by a local store this afternoon to disconnect the line, and again was told, "You just lose that money, because you prepaid." The line to my malfunctioned phone is now disconnected, and my bill is technically overpaid by about forty dollars, which is roughly a full month's service for one line. It does not state on my e-bill that credits for overpaid accounts cannot be applied. It does not state that paying in advance for a service requires I maintain that service even when I am not capable of receiving it.Desired Settlement: I would like my service for the disconnected line to be prorated for the four days that I had service, and the remaining amount that I paid in April to be applied to my account as overpayment (a credit to my next bill). I am not asking for the amount to be refunded to me, as I am still a Cricket customer with an open account. I want the balance to be adjusted appropriately for the services I am and am not receiving.

On May 9th they refunded me for the modem and then charged me 41.24 (automatic bill pay) for the next months service. I called and told them that the had charged me for service that I didn't have. They said that the auto bill pay hadn't been turned off and that they had a "no refund policy". They then said that they wouldn't charge me any more! (generous of them). I've filed a claim against them with [redacted]. I hope you can help. Thanks in advance,[redacted]Desired Settlement: I want the 41.24 that they charged me on May 9th returned.

Dear Sir/Madam,
This correspondence is in reference to a complaint filed by [redacted] regarding Cricket service. In her complaint, Ms. [redacted] states that she returned a modem to Cricket on April 29, 2014. On May 9, 2014 she received a refund for the modem but was also charged $41.24 via Automatic Bill Pay for the upcoming month of service. Ms. [redacted] called Cricket and was told that a refund could not be issued. Ms. [redacted] is requesting a refund in the amount of $41.24.
We apologize to Ms. [redacted] for any inconvenience or poor service she felt she received. Cricket strives to provide excellent service and we regret when that high standard is not met.
Ms. [redacted]’s equipment return was processed on May 9, 2014 and the account disconnected this same date. Prior to the account’s disconnection, Automatic Bill Pay deducted a payment of $41.24. This was an untimely occurrence and we regret that Ms. [redacted] was misinformed when she called about receiving a refund.
On May 27, 2014 we issued a refund in the amount of $41.24 back to the [redacted] card ending in [redacted]. The confirmation number is [redacted] and it may take 3-5 business days to process back to the card.
We thank Ms. [redacted] for her communication and trust that this action properly addresses her complaint.

Review: My husband purchased an Xperia Z1 phone from Sony. The phone which he had purchased from Cricket in November of 2013 was still in use. It was an Apple 5s. We told the saleslady that we had to have the Apple 5s unlocked because it would be used in Europe and Egypt by family members. She explained that she could not unlock the phone but we would have to contact Cricket by phone and they would unlock it. She then transferred information from the Apple 5s over to the Xperia Z1. The next day I spent two and a half hours being transferred from one person to another person and department only to be told that the phone could not be unlocked. I was told the phone was not activated therefore it could not be unlocked. I asked repeatedly how they were going to correct this problem, with no answer. One representative told me I would have to reactivate the phone and after 6 months they would unlock it. I explained this was totally unacceptable and we needed the phone unlocked immediately because it was to be used out of the country. I asked several times how the company would solve this problem with no reply. I then requested to speak to the representative's supervisor. He told me I would receive a call in 24 hrs. No call received. The following day calls were made again and the same runaround with no solution to the problem. We are very disappointed in this company and the customer service. We were completely clear as to what we needed when we went to the store on Sat., May 31st. We repeated more than once the need to unlock the Apple 5s. We took the word of the lady who helped us and did exactly what she said. There must be some resolution to this problem. We did not create the problem, therefore it is the responsibility of Cricket to resolve the problem and unlock the Apple 5s. We would in no way recommend to anyone using Cricket or AT&T, which recently purchased Cricket. We simply want the phone UNLOCKED. It cannot be that difficult to do. Again.......the is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLEDesired Settlement: Unlock the Apple 5s immediately. Correct communication and apologize for the hours of runaround and stress placed on us.

Review: The new service is bad Everytime I call I get disconnected after being on hold for long periods of time . The people working at thecall centers are very hard to understand they don't speak clearly and it is very hard to communicate with them. The staff is not knowledgable of the services they provide and do not have the ability to help when asked for assistance . There are to many different departments you have to be transferred back and forth to and when you ask them for a direct extension they say do not have one . I had a problem where I needed apple to talk to cricket and myself all on one call and cricket had no way to conference call apple . I actually had to have apple on one phone on speaker and cricket on another phone on speaker so each could talk to talk to each other . The processes took over 3 hours of being on the phone and the problem was still never resolved to my satisfaction. I still eneded up having to go into a location where the staff there was rude and unknowledgeable . They acted as if it was a inconvenience that I was There on the store asking for help . I asked to make sure I was still on auto bill pay they said I was. Come to find out after being there for over a hour the store staff actually unrolled me so I had a problems later on in the month with my bill. I am also upset with the fact that I just spent over 600 dolllars on two different phones in December and now you have to switch over to a new cricket plan and but all new phones buy march of 2015 or your new phones won't work . I was not notified of the change by anyone at cricket and would not have been unless I had had my original problem. Now I ma stuck with 1200 in phones that I can't do anything withDesired Settlement: I would like cricket to upgrade my phones for the new cricket wireless plans at no cost to me and fix the problems we all ate having with the new service

Review: Money was taken out of my account to pay a bill via telephone. It was applied to the wrong account and cricket won't correct the issue or refund me.
While out of town my phone was deactivated. I called in to pay my bill over the telephone. I was given a confirmation number and told to wait 30min and that my phone would be reactivated. I waited over an hour, my phone was not activated. I Then called in once more, the customer service rep explained to me that the funds from my personal bank account were added to the wrong phone account. They told me to submit proof of payment. I emailed them my bank statement. They denied the proof of payment. I then went in to an authorized cricket wireless communications dealership and had the store associate fax corporate a copy of my bank statement showing them where the money was removed from my account, and for further varifiction I had the associate speak with a representitive from U.S. Bank who confirmed the funds had been taken out. Once more my phone was deactivated and when I called customer service they told me there was nothing more that they could do.Desired Settlement: I only want what was taken from me. $48.47 and the days I was without service.

Review: I have been with cricket for almost a year now.on may 20,2014 I went in to cricket wireless on Perrin beitel road in San Antonio,tx.I went in to pay my monthly bill, when I saw a sign that said ask about our free phone.so,I asked and found out that at&t had bought cricket and they were having a promotion going on that every phone came with a 50$ mail in rebate, and he showed me a phone that was 50$ so I bought it thinking I would get my rebate back, making it basically a free phone.the sales rep. Even told me that if I filled out the rebate and mailed it in the next day I would get my money in a week...well its now been almost 2 months and I still have not received my money back.I have talked to 3 other people from that store and they have all told me different stories regarding how long it takes...I feel as if I've been taken for a ride...I don't make that much money so 50$ means a lot to me,and I would just like mymoney that iI was told I would get because I have other things I need to pay for.Desired Settlement: I think cricket owes me an apology for wasting my time and money making me wait so long for a 50$ rebate. They could at least reimburse me with a 100$ gift card for waiting so long. They could pay my phone bill.Or they could just give me a new phone for my troubles.
