Review: About 5 years ago or more, I initially had a 2 year contract with Cricket wireless but went month to month after the contract was up. Eventually I prepaid for my service to gain a $5 discount each month making my bill $52.15 total. This was automatically paid from my bank account on the 2nd of each month. My phone completely stopped working on Thursday, October 2nd (the same day my automatic bill was deducted from my bank account). That same day I spoke with many Cricket salespersons via online chat and customer service calls. They could not offer me a deal on a phone and I could not afford to pay full price for a new one so I had to change carriers. They told me I could not request a refund until the account had been cancelled, which I explained that I would like my number transferred and this could not be completed until the new phone was delivered. No other information was explained to me in regards to this refund. I received my new phone on Monday October 6th and upon the number transfer, I called and cancelled my service and requested a refund for prepaid services I never received. They told me it could take up to 14 days and I should expect a call. After 2 weeks I never received that call, so I contacted them to confirm the request for refund. I was then told that the request was denied because they do not refund for prepaid services. I then asked to speak with a manager and was told I had to leave my name and number and management would return my call within 72 hours. I never received this call either. I had been a loyal customer to Cricket for many years, even recommending their services to others. But now they are trying to keep money for prepaid services that I never received. My Cricket phone did not work and had no activity for the month of October, which I had prepaid.Desired Settlement: I deserve a refund in full of $52.15 for prepaid services that I never received

Review: When I started my account with Cricket Communications in February of 2013 I had unknowingly been put on a "regular" monthly account that is billed on a specific due date each month. Prior to the activation I had asked if I was on a Pay as you Go account the representative stated "yes" and that if there was 1 month that I was unable to pay that I can just reinstate the account when funds were available to me. Today 07/10/2013 I contacted Cricket and was told I am on a regular monthly account not the pay as you go. I just made a payment of $61.00/USD on 07/05/2013 thinking that it would give me services until 08/05/2013. I have spoken with 2 different representatives and 1 manager, they offered me "Bridgepay" meaning they gave me a $24.00 credit approx. and then I have until 6pm tomorrow to pay $17 then in a week another $17, after I already just paid them $61.00. My concern here is that I only have $5.00 in my account and by my next pay date I will not have enough to make another full phone payment. I feel I was lied to by a "lazy" employee and now they have their $61.00 for a month of service I never used. If I had known that I was under some kind of "contract" when Cricket clearly states they are a "NO CONTRACT" provider then I feel I should have a written copy of "said" contract.Desired Settlement: I would like to have the $61.00 that I paid applied to the account for a full month of services from the date that this gets resolved. I don't feel I should get penalized for their error.

Review: I used my Visa card to purchase ZTE AC3781 Modem for $99.99, $115.05 with all the taxes and fees from Cricket Wireless on 7/19/13 and was told that I would have it delivered to my home by 7/21/13. My money was taking off my card on 7/19/13 and by 7/26/13 I still had not received my modem. When I called to check on the modem I was told that it was still at UPS. I called UPS and refused the modem. On 7/31/13 UPS delivered my modem to [redacted] to a warehouse. I called Cricket on 8/01/13 to make sure they received the modem and per Supervisor they received modem and I would receive my money back on my Visa by 8/31/13. Called Cricket again on 7/05/13 was told that my account was not cancelled until 8/19/13 so would not receive my money back until 7/19/13 by Supervisor [redacted] employee i.d.#[redacted] who said he saw I was getting refund of 115.05 and assured me that I would have it within 3-5 business days. I have escalated my call 10x's finally yesterday a Manager got on the phone and told me I would not receive my refund because they called UPS and UPS told them I received the modem. I called UPS ###-###-#### and they stated they did not tell Cricket Wireless this and that they never delivered my modem because there was no Apartment number to deliver it to. Cricket has been lying to me and will not refund my $115.05 and this has taken allot of time out of my days were I can be spending it with my children and I'm even calling them on my breaks and lunch at work. I am going through a divorce and need all the money I can get especially since I never received the modem and now I do not want the modem nor anything to do with Cricket Wireless.Desired Settlement: I want my $115.05 back plus $200.00 for all the hours it has took me to investigate where the modem went and where my refund is and for getting lied to repeatedly.

Review: I purchased a month worth of service for a Cricket phone. I tried to activate the phone in Muskegon, MI because the coverage map showed Muskegon in its coverage zone. The phone would not activate. Customer service said that the phone was in roaming mode and that Muskegon is not technically their coverage area. I went to the store for a refund because the service was never used. They denied me a refund. I cannot use the service.Desired Settlement: I want a full refund. The phone number associated with the account is ###-###-####

Review: Cricket let us pay $1200 for two Galaxy s4 phones less than 6 months ago and now they say that those phones and everyone else's who bought their phones before the AT&T takeover are worthless. They said we could turn in our $1200 phones for two $50 credits towards new phones. There is no way to switch them to another service and no way they can just switch them to AT&T. Come March they become paperweights. They are ripping off hundreds of tulsans.Desired Settlement: They should give us Galaxy s4 models that work on the AT&T network

On 11/06/2013 I called Cricket at phone number and cancelled one of the phone numbers on my account ([redacted]) and we are keeping one phone line ([redacted]). A credit needs to be issue for the line that was cancelled. The account is paid in advance every first of each month and since only 5 days were used, Cricket needs to credit 25 days of service that are NOT used. The supervisor who handle the phone call with me over the phone explained that it is on her policy not to refund the money. I have never received a policy by e-mail, letter or any other via of communication; therefore, I request that my account is credited for the days the phone service disconnect ([redacted] is not in used, 25 days. It should be around/approximately $38.25 credit on my account. Thank you, [redacted]Desired Settlement: Credit my account # Account Number: [redacted]. Amount $38.25

Review: I have been with cricket for almost a year now.on may 20,2014 I went in to cricket wireless on Perrin beitel road in San Antonio,tx.I went in to pay my monthly bill, when I saw a sign that said ask about our free phone.so,I asked and found out that at&t had bought cricket and they were having a promotion going on that every phone came with a 50$ mail in rebate, and he showed me a phone that was 50$ so I bought it thinking I would get my rebate back, making it basically a free phone.the sales rep. Even told me that if I filled out the rebate and mailed it in the next day I would get my money in a week...well its now been almost 2 months and I still have not received my money back.I have talked to 3 other people from that store and they have all told me different stories regarding how long it takes...I feel as if I've been taken for a ride...I don't make that much money so 50$ means a lot to me,and I would just like mymoney that iI was told I would get because I have other things I need to pay for.Desired Settlement: I think cricket owes me an apology for wasting my time and money making me wait so long for a 50$ rebate. They could at least reimburse me with a 100$ gift card for waiting so long. They could pay my phone bill.Or they could just give me a new phone for my troubles.

Review: Money was taken out of my account to pay a bill via telephone. It was applied to the wrong account and cricket won't correct the issue or refund me.

While out of town my phone was deactivated. I called in to pay my bill over the telephone. I was given a confirmation number and told to wait 30min and that my phone would be reactivated. I waited over an hour, my phone was not activated. I Then called in once more, the customer service rep explained to me that the funds from my personal bank account were added to the wrong phone account. They told me to submit proof of payment. I emailed them my bank statement. They denied the proof of payment. I then went in to an authorized cricket wireless communications dealership and had the store associate fax corporate a copy of my bank statement showing them where the money was removed from my account, and for further varifiction I had the associate speak with a representitive from U.S. Bank who confirmed the funds had been taken out. Once more my phone was deactivated and when I called customer service they told me there was nothing more that they could do.Desired Settlement: I only want what was taken from me. $48.47 and the days I was without service.

Review: My husband purchased an Xperia Z1 phone from Sony. The phone which he had purchased from Cricket in November of 2013 was still in use. It was an Apple 5s. We told the saleslady that we had to have the Apple 5s unlocked because it would be used in Europe and Egypt by family members. She explained that she could not unlock the phone but we would have to contact Cricket by phone and they would unlock it. She then transferred information from the Apple 5s over to the Xperia Z1. The next day I spent two and a half hours being transferred from one person to another person and department only to be told that the phone could not be unlocked. I was told the phone was not activated therefore it could not be unlocked. I asked repeatedly how they were going to correct this problem, with no answer. One representative told me I would have to reactivate the phone and after 6 months they would unlock it. I explained this was totally unacceptable and we needed the phone unlocked immediately because it was to be used out of the country. I asked several times how the company would solve this problem with no reply. I then requested to speak to the representative's supervisor. He told me I would receive a call in 24 hrs. No call received. The following day calls were made again and the same runaround with no solution to the problem. We are very disappointed in this company and the customer service. We were completely clear as to what we needed when we went to the store on Sat., May 31st. We repeated more than once the need to unlock the Apple 5s. We took the word of the lady who helped us and did exactly what she said. There must be some resolution to this problem. We did not create the problem, therefore it is the responsibility of Cricket to resolve the problem and unlock the Apple 5s. We would in no way recommend to anyone using Cricket or AT&T, which recently purchased Cricket. We simply want the phone UNLOCKED. It cannot be that difficult to do. Again.......the is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLEDesired Settlement: Unlock the Apple 5s immediately. Correct communication and apologize for the hours of runaround and stress placed on us.

Review: I purchased a brand new ZTE Score directly from the mycricket.com website. I already had Cricket service and did an upgrade. When I got the phone the Muve Music didn't work so I called them to see why. 55 minutes and 7 reps later, they tried to tell me this was a flashed phone. I had every piece of paperwork to prove it wasn't. After another 45 minutes I got a person who knew what they were doing and came to find out the SIM card that came with the phone was used and belonged to a different person, different carrier, different phone number. They had to reprogram the entire phone and card to get it to work. I am really angry that I bought a brand new phone from them and they put a used card in it. When I buy something new, I expect new.Desired Settlement: I want a brand new SIM card that has never been used or reconditioned at no cost what so ever to me. That was supposed to be included. Not a used one.

Review: This is a portion of what was submitted by letter to the President of Cricket Wireless. Our letter is very long with a large amount of details. We had to omit a portion in order to fit into the description box.We purchased 2 Nokia 520 Windows telephones based on the Cricket Wireless $50 rebate per phone and that it would be in the form of a Visa card. There were 2 separate orders with 2 separate accounts. Cricket Wireless now owes each of us a $50 rebate for the phones we purchased and the service we have maintained. We have been treated with some of the worst customer service ever experienced which includes multiple hours on the phone, in email, or attempting to use the chat service with representatives who have both verbal and written language barriers. We have filed a formal complaint with the Revdex.com so that there is a formal record of our complaint to add to all the other ones already submitted. The condition of the rebates was to have purchased the phones by 07/10/14 and to activate and maintain service with Cricket Wireless for 45 days. Cricket Wireless completed same day processing of our orders the last day to qualify for the rebate. We received email notice that the phones had been shipped on 07/10/14 which complied with the deadline. The service plan was also activated the same day as it was paid for in the same order. We know it was processed timely because we realized one phone had a cayenne red case and we tried to change it, but was told by the order department that it was too late. This was after being on hold for an hour and then being hung up on twice. We submitted all the required documentation to the rebate center within less than 10 days and complied fully with the mail-in date. We have had service set up and have maintained it for over 60 days. We checked the online status of the rebate on August 4th and it indicated it was approved pending completion of the service period requirement. 3 weeks later we received post cards stating the rebate was denied because it did not have the cost of the phones. The company received all the documentation which included our purchase orders. The rebate should have been processed and the Visa card sent by September 1st. Immediately following receipt of the notification we contacted not only the rebate center, but also the customer service department at Cricket Wireless. After spending several hours on the telephone with various people we were advised that the only item missing to fully process and send out our Visa cards was to send in the email purchase confirmation we received showing the cost of the telephones and the service plan purchased. We were specifically advised that nothing further was required since everything was on file already and that we would receive our rebate immediately. We have relied on the statements made by all the representatives. What transpired over the last several weeks was as follows: 1. Checking on line and not finding anything further about the rebate. 2. Contacting the company on September 12th and being told that it did not show they had received the additional documentation yet, but to follow up in a few days. 3. Checking on line again on September 17th and determining that the company had declined the submission for a 2nd time. At this point we are so angry and frustrated about how we have been treated and all the misrepresentations that we feel contacting you would be the next step.Cricket Wireless has committed what appears to be fraud and misrepresentation in their advertising the rebate. At our last contact we were told that the documents had to be mailed by 07/09/14. This is absolutely impossible. How can this be accurate when the purchase requirement was valid through 07/10/14; the deadline for mail-in was 08/09/14; and the rebate was received in the offices prior to the deadline of 08/24/14.It is unclear from all the documents submitted and everything that has been told to us by the companys representatives how our rebates could not be valid or acceptable. Being in the financial services industry for many years we know the importance of accuracy and thoroughness. We were meticulous in preparing the paperwork and photocopied all the documents required to avoid any issues or denial. We have no idea what happened to the original documents sent showing the sales price and service plan. It would appear that only through some type of internal actions by employees that Cricket Wireless would deny validly submitted rebates. It appears that the rules for the new rebate offer currently going on are being used on our rebate which was the prior promotion. The Fulfillment Department needs to be trained to process the rebates correctly according to the appropriate rules for each specific rebate or promotion. This creates a lot of confusion and poor customer service. We want a full explanation of why we have had to endure this kind of treatment and we each want our $50 rebate and preferably in the form of a cashiers check so they may be cashed and used immediately. We do not want a Visa card because of expiration date issues. We do not consider our request to be unreasonable and demand our rebate be completed and submitted to us ASAP. We do not want to take this to the next step.Desired Settlement: There were 2 cell phones purchased and 2 plans purchased. There are 2 cell phones being used on this account. Cricket Wireless, LLC must provided 2 $50 rebates. Rebates should be a cashier's check and not a debit card with a cost or expiration date.

Review: This is based on 3 factors that rendered this visit, and transaction history with cricket to be hugely dissatisfied. First issue I encountered was the fact that there was false advertising since I was mentioned by sales team clerck that indeed with this phone I will get 4G LTE service in my phone which later found to not be true as 4G LTE service is not even available in my market. Then, since I wanted to port in a number from another carrier I was told that within 1 week or less I would be contacted by porting department to check if I was gonna be able to port in that number (which in this case I was never contacted by [redacted] @ cricket). 3rd and lastly I had it with their lack of communication with me, and any other hierarchical chain of command that retail stores have to follow to corporate stores, but since Jan 15, 2014 I started to come in to the store following coming in the 17th, and 19th. I have made several calls on those days prior to coming into the store. Having my story told to them I was able to still have warranty on the headset to have my money returned, but that did not happened. I was just aggressively received by personnel with no regards to my situation, and giving me stories to why I would not get a return on my phone. I had rights until that day to have that return, but now i'm just here sitting with a really expensive phone which I cannot use and is just basically sitting there. I would hope that there could be regulations to protect the consumer from false advertising and poor business practices by Cricket.Desired Settlement: I deserve a refund for this purchase since the phone has been protected since day one with a case, screen protector and all the possible way to not inflict any physical or logical abuse to the device. I am entitled to that refund and i'm planning to resort to all the channels available to make this clear, not for revenge, or out of spite, but because it is the right thing for the company to do.
