I spoke with Miss [redacted] and we are working with her, our Goodyear location, Purchasing Power and Tire Buyer to track her order and resolve her concern She is working with our store manager, Ron, directly Jennifer C [redacted]

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.) The issue was resolved to my satisfaction, as I requested a reimbursement of the towing tee

As in my previous email the tire could not be repaired as per [redacted] the assistant manager

My truck was not overheatingThat was a lieI ask them to check my heater because it was only getting Luke warm and not hotThey change the thermostat and said that didn't work so it must be the water pump so they changed that and then said that didn't work so it must be heater coreThey wanted $to replace thatI said on wayThis is not a guessing gameMy truck never overheated and still don'tAlso the heater is still only getting Luke warmLike I said before I didn't even have an oil leak until they so called repaired itI am not happy with the way they are treating this like it is my faultYou take your truck somewhere u hope will treat you right and give good service and this is how you are treatedSorry way to do business

ON 10/4/16, strictly for good will purposes, we authorized the customer's local retailer to replace the $tires in question for $84.50/tire

This is not a mere warranty issueGoodyear charged us for work they did not do and that they did not do properlyThe work was certainly negligent and borders on fraudWe should not be required to bring the car back to the very place that messed it up in the first placeWe would like Goodyear to reimburse us for the work they did not doAgain, we have pictures and documentation of the issues from a reputable mechanic

The vehicle in question came into our location for an oil change, which we didThe customer returned because the air conditioner was blowing warm airWe pulled it into our bay, and when our technician tried to start the car it would not startWe at no time touched the customer's battery or did any other service to the car as it would not startThe customer recently had to purchase a new key and it would have had to be programmedWe would suggest that this could have been responsible for the a/c not working and the ECM going outAn oil change would not cause these problemsThanks for allowing Goodyear to respond

Our store followed Company procedures by inspecting this vehicle and marking down any pre-existing damage (in this case the driver side bumper was cracked) The customer was parked in such a way that no one in the parking lot could have hit it The store also states the damage did not appear fresh as there was road salt and debris in the damaged area We must respectfully decline to assist customer with this matter

I am rejecting this response because:The good year department dealing with property damage claims that the store "did not touch my battery or do any other services to my vehicle." I find that information in the response from Goodyear inaccurateIt states it in my invoice from good year when I took it in for an Air conditioning diagnostic that they checked all fuses and relays and did a battery disconnect as trial and error to reset my system to get the vehicle to startI also asked for their team member to put it in his own words and writing for my records of what was done to my vehicle and who it was done by and in that statement before he wrote anything down he specifically called and asked their mechanic to confirm what exactly was done to my vehicle once it was pushed, or driven into the bay (he was unsure how it got into bay) it states that a battery disconnect was done to try and reset the system by their mechanic DavidWhile on premises their mechanic also confirmed with my wife while I was on the phone that he did a jump to the car to see if maybe it would help it startI understand that initially it could have maybe been a key problem but because Goodyear took it upon themselves to push or now from their response pull my vehicle into their bay to trial and error with my vehicle’s system and battery I cannot determine if it in fact was a key problem because in their process of moving my car from where I left it and the work that Goodyear did to the vehicle while it being in their bay they damaged/ fried my ECMI didn’t take my vehicle in for a “no start diagnostic”If I would have received a call with the concern of my vehicle not being able to start from the parking spot where I left it or a call from Goodyear asking if there was a specific way to start my vehicle or Goodyear contacting me for permission to now do a no start diagnostic I would be a little more at ease, but I didn’t I wasn't kept update with what was going on I just so happened to call 1/hours after the initial drop off for an update on my air conditionerGoodyear then informed me that they took upon themselves without my permission to haul my car into their bay to now trial and error with my battery and system to get the vehicle to startAgain if I would have gotten that call with it not being able to start from where I left it without good year putting their hands in it I would have given instructions to Goodyear to wait before anything is done by Goodyear for the company that provided me with a spare key to go out and see if it is a key problemSo that at that moment I could put the responsibility on the key company for it being a key problem but because Goodyear took it upon themselves to move my vehicle into their bay and put their hands in my vehicle to now trial and error with my battery and system now the vehicles ECM is damagedBy the time the Key company who provided me with the spare went out to the Goodyear location he was unable to diagnose if it in fact was a key problem because he too started the ECM was damaged and he was unable to communicate with the vehicleHe also stated if any battery work was done it could have fried the ECMThis is why I put the responsibility on Goodyear for damaging the ECM because work WAS done on July 12, and the battery WAS messed with Their invoice document and the statement letter provided by their team member both state that information, the information Goodyear is now denying

Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 10, 2015/07/28) */ Goodyear has received complaint [redacted] We are always concerned when our products or services do not exceed our customer's expectations The customer's concerns were reviewed with the store manager of the locationThe documentation of the customer services were reviewed alsoAccording to the store, the customer vehicle has numerous issues that can cause irregular wear to the tiresIrregular wear is not covered under our tire warrantyThe location has recommended many different services to correct these issuesThese services are not covered by any warranty the customer has and would be the customer's responsibility We would be more than willing to honor all service warranties and tire warranties that the customer has at our Goodyear Auto Service CenterThe store manager himself would have no problem honoring the warranties that the customer has but the interaction would have to be done in a civil manner The customer is welcome to contact us at [redacted] and reference her file number [redacted] if she has any questions

Our investigation into this customer's complaint resulted in a finding that General Motors has issued a bulletin, #PIC6055B (attached) which addresses the issue that they are having We respectfully advised that they address the issue with GM, as Goodyear did not cause the problem or do anything to their center stack display Thank you for allowing us to address this complaint

Revdex.com: I have received a check, and cashed the check however I do not feel the issue is resolved, I am more than unhappy with the resolution Employees were beyond rude and treated me as if it were my fault that this situation occured I not once got an apology, and was solely offered dollars I have extreme anxiety and due to the way in which I was treated by their customer service I had several anxiety attacks and had to take sedation medicine I think it is a joke that they continue to make me feel as though it was not their fault, that they did nothing wrong and just want to sweep it under the rug I feel that they could do more than a dollar check

I am rejecting this response because: After-the-fact BBB report was filed that I get any response before hand it was no we're not going to do anything it did take me a few days to return the call as the time differences are very drastic which Bruce seems to not understand after finally being able to call I was on hold for over 20 minutes and still did not get in contact with Bruce they said they want to see the repair bills I then responded why only now after-the-fact before there was no customer service now because of the BBB report why only now after-the-fact before there was no customer service ever now because the BBB report was filed you then want to look further into it I said I've already contacted my lawyer and the issue has already been sent to my lawyer because I was told nothing would be done nothing will be done. They let it get this far and it is out of my hands Customer service Goodyear Deplorable

I attempted to reach out to the customer and have not heard back from himWe will close this claim at this time
