Dealer Services Reviews (152)

I would not recommend Dealer Services to anyone. They repeatedly call my number and are trying to get me to buy their extended warranty. Every time they call, they call from a different phone number, and as soon as I tell them to remove my number from their calling list, they become rude. I have also asked to speak to the supervisor, and then they hang up. I honestly feel that this company is a fraud! Even if I would need an extended warranty, I would not purchase one from this company, because they are always rude. Revdex.com-I do not see how you can rate this company as an "A". Please re-evaluate this company.

Review: I have repeatedly asked this company to quit calling and yet they continue to call. I see by other complaints filed, that they claim to have never called. I have received numerous calls and received one today just before 11 a.m. central time on Tuesday, January 12, 2016. The person calling identified themselves as calling from [redacted]Desired Settlement: I want them to quit calling anyone in my household including my wife. We will never do business with them and their calls are annoying. Their people can be very rude when I tell them I want off their list.

Review: When the sales agent called me on the phone, I expressed a catalytic converter issue with my car, and the sales agent said I am eligible to obtain the warranty anyway so that the repairs can be paid. I was very hesitated and the agent said I needed to go ahead and made the deposit right now since this is the only time he could make the exception of letting me buying the coverage since my car has already had the issue. He wouldn't even allow me time to discuss with my husband and assured me that I would have 15 days to review and decide if we want to have the coverage or not. When I did not reply if I want the coverage or not, they automatically charged my credit card anyway. I called to cancel, and the agent kept insisting I should keep the coverage and if my car issue was not covered they will refund me the money. Now I understood that to be a tactic to make me keep the coverage beyond 60 days so no full refund will be made to me if I cancel after that. So we brought our car to the dealers and they would not cover the catalytic converter. I was coerced into purchasing the coverage and pressured into keeping it every time I called to cancel. I called today and insisted to cancel the coverage since I have not used it at all and the agent changed his attitude completely and he rudely told me to me there is nothing he will do for me and told me to follow the cancelation procedure and I will not receive a full refund of my money. I feel like I'm being lied to by them refusing to help me when I wanted to cancel.Desired Settlement: I wanted to have my coverage canceled and all of my money back.

Review: I purchased an extended warranity from this Company Dealer Services. They told me that the warranity would cover just about anything. When I filed a claim on my A/C they told me that it was not covered. I later filed a claim on for my fuel system, it is leaking fuel. The vechile has been in the shop since Sept. the dealership has had trouble contacting these people. The fuel system is supposed to be covered, but they said something else caused the system to get a hole in it and that part isn't covered so they can't fix it. I told them ([redacted]) to cancel my coverage on Nov. 5, 2013. They did not cancel they took another premium out on Nov. 12th . I called the person [redacted] told me that I didn't send a letter so they can't cancel. I asked if I send the letter are you going to put my money back he said no they don't do that. Before when I called to cancel a guy named [redacted] told me if I cancelled he would cancel the repair on my rear wiper motor, which they did repair, but used a part from a wrecking yard,. They did not cancel my premium and still taking my money. The place that he told me to send the letter is : Dealer Services P.O. Box 223, Allenhurst, NJ o7711. The company on my bank statement is N..C.W.C. Inc, The phone number is [redacted]. There are several phone numbers and names for this same company. Another name is American Auto Shield. The other phone number [redacted] you have to go through all of these and still don't get results.Desired Settlement: I want all of my money back because they lied in the beginning . Everything they told me was a lie. And I asked them all kinds of questions before I agreed to purchase. I even had someone with warranity experience to call and talk to these people. The person that sold it to me was named [redacted]

Review: I have asked Dealer Services repeatedly to stop calling my cell phone. They keep asking me if I want extended warranties on a vehicle I don't even own. I have gotten 10 calls in the past 4 months from them. I just filed a Do Not Call List complaint. I am doing this, and will be filing with the NJ States Attorney Office also. Between the 3 of these, I want the calls to stop.Desired Settlement: I do not want another phone call from Dealer Services ever again

Review: This company [redacted] will not stop harassing me about this extended warranty policies when I've explicitly told them I am not interested and to please stop calling me. They continue to call my work number at least once a month, sometimes 2-3 times a month for the past year. I am tired of getting calls from them. I don't know how they can expect me to want to do business with them when they continue to harass me when I've asked them to stop. Based on this treatment I would never do business with them.Desired Settlement: I want them to leave me alone, stop calling me.

Review: Dealer Services has a pre-existing condition clause on their warranties and a 30 day waiting period after initiation of a contract. We had an issue with our [redacted] differential diagnosed earlier this year. The part was failing, but the vehicle was still able to be driven. The dealer told us there was no harm in driving the vehicle but there was no way to tell if the part would completely fail in a week, a month, or ever. At about the same time Dealer Services contacted us offering us a warranty on this vehicle. My husband explained our situation with the [redacted] and specifically asked if this repair would be covered under this warranty because of the pre-existing condition clause in the warranty. The sales representative told him it would be covered as long as we waited until after the 30 day waiting period to get the repairs done. We initiated the warranty contract in July 2014 and took the vehicle in for repairs on November 19, 2014. Dealer Services denied coverage of the repair due to the pre-existing condition clause. I spoke with the claims manager at Dealer Services today and he stated that their sales people would never say that a previously diagnosed problem would be covered and that they would not cover this repair. I accepted that they would not pay the claim, but requested that our contract be cancelled and asked for a full refund of money already paid since the primary reason we bought this warranty was because the sales representative told us this repair would be covered. The cost of the repair was roughly the same as the cost of the warranty, so it seemed like a good solution to us. At this point, the claims manager told me he was tempted to cancel my contract and submit us for fraud. He became very unprofessional and belligerent during this call. We will be canceling our contract immediately and making any additional payments.Desired Settlement: Ideally I would like them to honor the statement made by their sales rep that this repair would be covered and reimburse us for the cost of the repair which we will have to pay out of pocket. I will accept if their policies prohibit them from paying for repairs of a pre-existing condition, however in that case I would like a refund of payments already made, which total $1,018.24 and includes a $340 deposit and $678.24 in monthly installment payments.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. I do apologize for submitting the complaint under the wrong company, however the New Jersey address is what was listed on my documentation.

THIS COMPANY HAS BEEN NOTHING BUT KIND AND VERY COURTIEOUS TO ME AND MY ASSOCIATES THAT HAVE PURCHASED THIS WARRANTY, THE REPS ARE VERY PATIENT AND UNDERSTANDING LIKE THE TIME I WAS OUT OF TOWN AND I HAD A BREAK DOWN AND THEY CAME TO MY RESCUE!!!!! THANK GOD FOR THE SERVICE THEY PROVIDE AND I WILL RECOMEND THEM TIME AND TIME AGAIN... MY NEIGHBOR AND FAMILY MEMBERS HAVE THIS COVERAGE AND THEY TELL EVERYONE IT IS A DREAM COME TRUE THANKS LIBERTY AUTO PROTECTION FOR THE GREAT SERVICE YOU HAVE PROVIDED FOR ALL OF US...

This company has been barraging me with harassing phone calls for the last 6 months in an attempt to sell me an extended auto warranty. I have repeatedly declined and asked to be removed from their call list. I eventually escalated to demanding to be removed from their call list. On my most recent call, when telling the operator that I had in fact asked to be removed again and again and again the operator proceeded to "shhhhhh" me as I spoke. When I finished the operator asked 'if I was done'. As with the many numbers they have called me from to date, this one was sent to my auto-reject list. Between the persistent harassing phone calls and the condescending callers, the Revdex.com should be ASHAMED to rate this company anything but an F.

Review: This company has been debuting from my account 176.67 per month. I have tried to contact them by email and phone with no success of doing so. I did not authorize this company to debit from my account monthly and have no way of contacting them since phone numbers given always say call back at a later time. If I could please be contacted by this company and refunded all monies.Desired Settlement: Refund of money that has be debited monthly but was not authorized.

Review: To Whom It May Concern,

My extended warranty told me to take my truck to a Chevy dealer...they all don't work on transmissions. I called my warranty place up and they said I could take my truck anywhere. So I took my truck into [redacted] on Dec 19 or 20.

...The extended warranty people said I needed my reciept showing them for every 50,000 miles my truck was suppose to be serviced but according to my owners manual it does not say that. So now they are trying to get out of paying it but I am still paying on my extended warranty.Desired Settlement: Wants warranty company to pay for transmission repair.

Review: Watch out for this company! They sell you a bill of goods, then if you want to cancel the protection plan - start the run-around!!! I called to cancel, and it had to be in writing, I called 2 weeks later to find out the progress of my cancelation, and first they said it would be 6 weeks, then 8 weeks. I asked how much of my money would be refunded - no answer - I'll hear in 8 weeks. They are very quick to take the money out of your account, terrible at responding to requests. I can just imagine how they must be at honoring a claim on the policy. This company is not a good one to do business with.Desired Settlement: Since I did not use the policy I purchased on 9/25/14, I want a complete refund of the initial payment of $460 taken on 9/25/14 as well as the monthly payment of $138.47 taken on 10/26/14 for a total of $598.47 which was taken from my bank account.

Business

Please be advised that [redacted] policy was canceled on November 1, 2014. A full refund in the amount of 59847 has been issued back to her credit card, The deposit of 460.00 was credited back on November 21, 2014 and the first payment of 138,47 was credited back onNovember 25, 2014.We are sorry for any inconvenience.

Review: I had bought an extended warranty only to be denied service. They stated that the problem was pre-existing but my service records were flawless.Desired Settlement: I would like for them to honor their contract and complete repairs.

Dear [redacted]

[redacted] purchased his service agreement from [redacted]

[redacted] filed a claim on July 5th for engine failure. We ordered an independent adjuster to inspect [redacted]’s engine on July 5th. The adjuster’s report determined that the cause of failure was due to excessive oil consumption which caused carbon build up on the piston rings.

Piston rings are excluded for coverage. Additionally the adjuster’s report determined that the cause of failure was prior to the start mileage on [redacted]’s agreement. I have enclosed a copy of the adjuster’s report.

Review: when sold the policy I asked several times if a certain component was covered and repeatedly told that it was. I even stated more than once that the struts were a wear item but was assured by the Salesforce that since it wasn't included on the list of uncovered items that was indeed covered. Was told at the time of purchase that it was an open ended contract that if I didn't want coverage for a month or missed a payment then it would just start when I started making payments again. Low and behold 500 miles before my contract were to expire (well over a year before the date of expiration) I had the worn out struts replaced. went on vacation and returned to call about reimbursement and to tell [redacted] that I have fulfilled the mileage requirement of the policy. Just as I suspected the struts were not covered and I ate that one as I figured all along that they not covered but was just another case of a salesman saying whatever lie they had to in order to get the sale what bothered me was the claims representative that kept telling me that it was my problem and didn't I read the contract? At one point she even called stupid for not reading the policy. I told them during this call that I was done with them and had fulfilled my end of the agreement and was done with our business relationship after yet another strong armed attempt to get me to renew some sort of other policy. The end of the call ended up with a salesperson upsetting me to the point that I said we are done I've fulfilled my end now leave me alone, FOREVER! 2 months passed and billing dept. starts calling me for collections said I was done they said I owed I said I was over mileage goodbye. Listened to a few more calls with them telling me I owed me saying I don't till I asked for a manger and he said account closed we are all done doing business with each other. still getting calls wanting money I don't owe! they wasn't a letter and odometer reading is what I have finally gotten out of them.Desired Settlement: I want them to state in writing that we are done with each other and they will no longer contact me. No money is owed and they will put me on their DO NOT CALL lists and any of their subsidiaries lists as well.

Review: I purchased an extended warranty contract from Dealer Services, when it came time to use their services, they wanted me to pay for the repairs out of pocket after paying for the warranty. when I found this out I requested a refund, which I was told it would take 4 to 6 wks to process and receive the refund. I confirmed that they received the request on 12-3-13,it is now 2-16-14 and I have yet to receive a refund. I've called numerous times to only hear" my request is still being processed and I should receive it in 7 to 10 days" as told by several of their managers.Desired Settlement: I want the money that I paid them for the services that I never received! I also think they should be shut down! according to the service manager at the dealership the car was at these people never pay their customers bills by saying that part of the repairs that they say we"re covered before the work is done, only to say that it wasn't once the repairs are done and the bill has to be paid..these people have been given a license to steal!!!

Review: The company owes me a full refund for a policy that should not have been opened, according to the administrative company [redacted]. [redacted] stated that the policy should not have opened because my Nissan had a salvage title. The agent that opened the policy was informed of this, and said that it would not be a problem. I was issued a partial refund of $465.44, the full amount owed was $803.39. I have made several attempts via telephone, email, and standard first class mail. The only response that I have had is the company telling me that I was charged for a processing fee and some other daily fee for having the policy. Regards,

Review: I am acting on behalf of my mother [redacted]. She is 87 years old has asked for my help. She received a phone call on 5/29/2013 from Direct Auto Protection/Dealer Services regarding an extended warranty policy. She told me that she felt very intimidated and bullied by the representative. She believed from the conversation that her car was in jeoprdy if she did not make a payment immediately. She gave him a payment of $599.00 in the form of an electronic check. A second payment of $146.67 was collected, once again over the phone by electronic check on 6/30/13. When I went to visit my mother in early July she asked me to look at the information because she thought she had done something very "stupid" and didn't know what to do about it. She was extremely distressed and embarrassed. I called the 800 number listed on the contract, policy number [redacted], and spoke with [redacted] at extention [redacted]. He advised that she needed to send a letter to cancel and provided me with the address. I drafted the letter and sent it to my mother for her signature. She obtained the certified odometer statement from the dealership, per [redacted]'s request, and mailed the letter. I followed up with my mother in October and she stated she had never received any refund. On 10/22/13 I spoke with [redacted] once again. He acknowledged that they had received the request. He told me he was sending a service ticket to research refund and that they would call me. I did not receive a call back. 10/28/13 I called them again. [redacted] was out. I spoke with another associate who took my information and said [redacted] would call me the next day. Again, no call back. I called on 11/5/13 and once again left a message requesting a call back. Still no call. We are attempting to recover the $745.67 that was paid.Desired Settlement: Refund for cancelled policy contract. A complaint has also been file with the Oregon Department of Justice.

Review: They have been calling me for more than a year to purchase a warranty. They ask for me personally and the car isn't even in my name. I have explained this to them multiple times and have requested countless times not to be called again, yet I still get several calls a week. Today I got a call, the rep was rude and could barely speak clear enough to understand him. I was transferred to a supervisor who wouldn't even stop talking over me long enough to hear what the problem was and then she proceeded to hang up on me while I was trying to tell her to remove my number from their list. I then had to call back [redacted] and told supervisor Jennifer to remove my number from their list. I am confident I will be called again in a few days because that is what always happens when I request not to be called.Desired Settlement: My desired outcome is what it has been for over a year...to not be contacted by them any more.
