Dumpster Rental, Inc Reviews (153)

Review: I called Dumpster Rental Inc DBA Dumpster Central and rented a Dumpster. I was quoted a delivery date and price upfront. On 5/*/2015 I received a call, there were no dumpsters available in my area. They would have to truck one in and the cost would be a lot more than quoted. I agreed and paid $759.20 paid in full. The person told me if I needed it longer no problem. I was suppose to call to arrange the pick up. On Thursday May [redacted] I called Dumpster Central; My first phone call was 3:33pm ###-###-#### did not speak to anyone, was unable to leave message.(2) call at 3:41pm ###-###-####no person, no message (3) call at 3:57pm ###-###-#### no person or message (4) called 4:11pm ###-###-#### unable to leave a message. (5),(6),(7) 4:23, 4:26, 4:27pm no message was able to be left.(8) called 4:34 pm ###-###-#### no person or message. After a very frustrating afternoon, I called the phone number on the Dumpster ###-###-#### 5:08 pm talked to a person and she referred me to Susan (,Susan takes care of dumpsters) called ###-###-####. She told me that it was billed for 60 days! Because of the holiday it was picked up 7/*/2015. On July [redacted] I was charged $300, with no authorization from me. I went to the bank and found out. I called and talked to Tina, she informed me I was being charged $300 because I did not call for a pickup. I tried 8 times to arrange a pick up. And 3-4 times on their web page. I tried email and return phone call. Got error messages for both. I tried every number I could find. I was tenacious in trying to call and talk to a person. I exhausted every avenue I could think of. It was a relief to talk to a human being. It was Meyers Roll Offs in Broken Bow NE.###-###-####. The company of the Dumpster agreed with the pick up date. I called###-###-####. She told me I would have to get my phone log. Showing I tried to reach them for a pickup. I sent them the day I called, how long each phone call lasted. And what happened each call. She will not refund my money.Desired Settlement: I feel that the log I provided should be enough. It had every detail. I swear that this phone log is true and nothing has been changed. I would like a refund of $300 and delete my debit card off the records. I didn't authorize this charge. I don't want this company to charge anything they want.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.

Sincerely,

Review: I ordered a dumpster for our project in Oak Island, NC earlier today and 10-15 minutes after ordering I received an invoice for an incorrect amount. This was for a monthly rate and on the invoice it was for 7 days and had a per day charge after 7 days, the over 4 tonnage was higher than discussed, and the $565 pull rate was to include up to 4 tons and on the invoice it was up to 3 tons.

Once I received the invoice I immediately emailed to cancel the dumpster because this as not what was discussed and I also called to cancel. A few hours later I received a call from Veronica saying in order for me to get a refund I would need to sign the terms and conditions, I asked for a manager because nothing on the terms and conditions applied to me.

When the manager (I think Christy) got on the phone she said they would charge us $100 for cancelling and I explained to her that the card was charged for an unauthorized amount and this was not the correct amount discussed. She explained that they couldn't get the tonnage lower because the dump fees are higher than what I was originally quoted. When I told her I wasn't going to sign the terms and condition page because Im not agreeing to pay a cancellation fee because of their mistake, the manager said she would not refund any of the money... I informed her that I will contact the credit card company and the manager said "That's fine, you can contact them and we will win!'

The manager is very rude and took no accountability for the lies her employees told me. We have been in business for 55 years, I've been with the company 4 years and this is the rudest and most unprofessional person I've dealt with.Desired Settlement: Full refund

Business

Response:

This customer was refunded in full before this complaint was made.

Review: MERCHANT CHARGED MY DEBIT CARD ACCOUNT, THEN AFTER CONFIRMING THE PURCHASE HE CALLED ME BACK AND SAID HE MADE A MISTAKE AND WILL HAVE TO CHARGE ME AN ADDITIONAL CHARGE. WHEN I TOLD HIM TO CANCEL THE ORDER AND REFUND ME, HE YELLED AT ME AND MY MONEY WAS NOT REFUNDED.Desired Settlement: JUST GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK AND I HOPE THIS BUSINESS GOES OUT OF BUSINESS!

Business

Response:

This customer was refunded in the amount of $343.20 on August **, 2015. It does take 3 - 5 business days for it to show up in the account. However, a receipt of the refund was sent to the customer upon refunding the card.

Review: Ordered a dumpster on 2/**/2016 for a price of $395/mo. The conversation with the salesman stated that it was a monthly rental as long as I could have it emptied once per month. I agreed to the terms over the phone and gave payment information. They delivered the dumpster the next day. On 3/*/2016 when I was able to finally look over the terms and conditions the agreement said it was a 7 day rental with a charge of $25/day if we went over the 7 days. I called their office to rectify the situation. They passed me between 4 different people and then hung up on myself. The last lady I discussed the situation said that it was a monthly rental if I had it picked up once a month. This is false. If I had it picked up on the [redacted] of each month it would give me only 7 "free" days and then I would pay the $25/day fee until the [redacted] of the next month when I would have another "free" 7 days. In the end the lady on the other end refused to acknowledge this and said it was indeed a monthly rental as long as I did have it picked up 1 time per month. She was also very rude.Desired Settlement: First I would like an apology for the rudeness exemplified by the employees. They passed me from employee to employee and then hung up on me. I confirm I was very frustrated and raised my voice, but they were adamant it was a monthly rental when indeed it wasn't.

I also want them to confirm that the CC on file will not be charged anything additional. Reading other reviews on this company makes me leary of their business practices.

Response:

This customer placed an order on Feb **, 2016 for a 10 yard dumpster to be delivered to his address on March *, 2016. Customer was sent our invoice, and terms and conditions of which he opened. These documents do state that there is 7 days included in the rental and anything over that would be an additional charge of $25 per day. The exception was, if he was to get dump and returns he could have the dumpster for 30 days as every time he got a dump and return the rental period starts over. Customer used this dumpster, and it has been removed from his property. We have a weight ticket of proof that there was trash in this dumpster.

Consumer

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

The business is right on several accounts, but incorrect on a few others. The order was placed on that date, the dumpster was received on that date. I was sent the invoice and terms and conditions which I opened and signed on 3/*/2016, a couple days after the dumpster was delivered. When I read the terms and conditions that's when I called the company and tried to rectify the situation. They again told me that the 7 days was applicable that if I had it emptied the 7 days would start over. The exception that the business is referring to is the one I understood the first time I called, when I called the second time the exception was not listed on the terms and conditions. This is what I wanted and they wouldn't oblige. As far as the dumpster goes, it was not removed from our property until this morning at 08:33. I will add the picture of the dumpster still sitting on my property. If they have the weight ticket with the date of yesterday I would love to see it. Yes, it is true that the dumpster was used as the second it arrived we threw trash in the dumpster. I will pay for the use of it.

Sincerely,

Business

Response:

Customer did not call with any discrepancy until the day he requested the dumpster to be removed off his property. If he would have called, we would have taken care of it at that point. When a customer calls to state that something is incorrect, it can not be done the day the customer is done with the dumpster, it should have been completed the second he opened he documents and say the "mistake" he is claiming.

Consumer

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

The reason I was done with the dumpster was because the discrepancy wasn't being taken care of. Again I was trying to explain this to the 4 different people they were passing me from. Regardless, I asked for the issue to be resolved, it wasn't. I then asked that the dumpster be taken because the discrepancy wasn't being taken care of. I had to call a second time to confirm that it was leaving as the dumpster sat onsite until this morning when it was finally taken.

Sincerely,

Place is a scam beware, they tell you they will pick up dumpster in a week and than bury the fact that you need to call to have it removed and they than charge you another $120 more etc..
I spoke to kay and her manager both of which are useless and horrible with customer service.

I had a very ill experience with this company. I chose this company for residential service use of large dumpster to dispose of household/construction waste. I was getting some construction done to my home. I contacted the sales rep. and explained my purpose for seeking the companies services. The rep. asked about other companies I considered and I shared this information along with quoted prices from other companies. The sales rep. agreed to allow me to rent the dumpster that include delivery pick-up and any overage fees in one price. It was my understanding from this representative that the almost $494 price would be inclusive of overage fees. This is why I chose this company over the other companies because of this agreement. I was told that I would receive an electronic agreement to sign. I ordered the dumpster on June [redacted] and I didn't receive an invoice to sign until July [redacted]. I gave the representative my credit card information and I was promised a delivery date on a Friday, which was 4 days away from my original call. On the promised delivery date, the dumpster had not been delivered. The payment for the services had already cleared my bank but I never signed an agreement about the terms and conditions because the agreement was not originally sent to me as promised. I made several attempts to contact the representative, who by the way called me on his cell phone, so of course he would not recieve my phone call. I finally made contact with someone and the dumpster was delivered a week later than promised. I kept the dumpster from June [redacted] to July [redacted]. I had to call the company to pick the dumpster up. I didn't receive an invoice about my agreement until after the dumpster was picked up, not when originally agreed. Then after picking up the dumpster, my credit card was charged an additional $220. I still don't know why. I called and inquired about the additional $220 and was told that this was overage costs and that I did not owe anything else. Today, 6 months later, I received an invoice to my email account indicating that $29.00 was taken out of my account without my permission. I phoned customer service to inquire about this. The representative was very rude and indicated that I signed a contract stating that I would be responsible for any overage funds. I was told that the company has been trying to collect the $29 overage funds since July of last year. I asked why I was not notified of this until now because I was told that my balance was paid in full. The rep. kept stating that I signed an original agreement inidicating that I would be responsible for overage funds. I asked the rep. why I didn't receive a bill or a phone call stating that I owed a balance. The rep. stated this $29 fee to my account since July of last year.
This is the worst customer service experience ever. I feel like there are some illegal practices going on with this company. Customers are not well-informed about serivices provided and no one should have the right to withdraw money from a bank account six months after dealing with the company without the customers knowledge. The customer was told after paying an additional $220 for overage and pickup that no balance was due and then six months later to have someone begin to take money from your bank account without your knowledge, nor was I notified that I had a balance due. This has to be illegal practices.
The representative for this company hung up in my face when I was trying to resolve this issue with her over the phone. Very poor customer service practices. I would never use this company again.

I absolutely LOVE this company. They were super friendly and helpful. The delivery was 30 mins delayed but I totally understood this is the trucking business and I have my own experience in that industry as well so I know how it gets. This company gave me an awesome deal that I couldnt resist. Better than the other companies I called before them !!!!!

This is the worst company ever! I got over charged by $500!!! The ladies on the phone will lie to you and say you won't be overcharged, but won't write the comments in your folio. I honestly don't understand how this company stays in business! The pathetic owner who is probably rich from stealing so many customers money, dosent even have time to talk to customers! Please run ur business better or you will fail!! Do NOT rent from this company!!!

Everyone including the truck drivers need to,work on customer sercice! That is the most important quality in a business!

I hope this review will save other potential customers money!!!

Had quoit 6500 ended up paying $15000 plus 2500 for equipment they are liesers took 2 days to get dumpsters 1 at a time had 15

Review: I purchased a dumpster from Dumpster Rental Inc. on August *, 2015 for $350. Today August [redacted] after the company picked up the dumpster I received a phone call from the super in the building telling me that the concrete in the driveway was totally dug up with extensive damage due to the removal of the dumpster. After receiving pictures from a tenant I immediately called Dumpster Rental Inc. an forwarded the pictures to [redacted]. While speaking to [redacted] he was very rude and refused to give any information about the company and denied that the dumpster damaged the driveway. After I asked for the name of the company they are insured by he became more upset continued to deny the damage and hung up the phone. I also just noticed that there is no address on the invoice which leads me to believe that they are a company that's out there to scam the consumer.Desired Settlement: I would like the driveway repaired back to its original condition. I need the name of their insurance company so I can file a claim to have the driveway repaired.

Response:

We have contacted our assistant company who delivered this dumpster for us. They are currently looking into the situation, and will take proper steps to make sure if this is damage done by their driver/truck, they will be sure to get this fixed.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

[Dumpster Inc has not tried to contact me to resolve this issue. My last conversation with the manager [redacted] he continued to deny the damaged occurred due to his workers negligence and refuse to give me the name of their insurance company to submit a claim. The company has my phone number, email and mailing address I have not heard back from them regarding a the steps being taken to resolve this matter.]

Response:

The address [redacted] has put on the complaint, is not an address we have ever delivered to. We have made a delivery to [redacted] at a different location, of which my assistant company had made the delivery and has already checked the site out to confirm if the damage was done by his driver or not.

Review: I ordered a 20 yd dumpster on 11/**/2015 and was told by a sales representative for Dumpster Rental, Inc., that he could get me one for $425.00 for 10 days. I agreed and he called me back 10 minutes later and said that he forgot to add the $75 delivery fee and it would be $500. I said "no, I can get it somewhere else for $450 so I'll just call the other company. He said "Wait, let me call my driver and see what I can do and I'll call you back". I ended up calling him back 2 hours late because he never followed back up with me. He said no problem, it would be $440.00 for the dumpster and it would be delivered early Friday morning (11/**/2015). I received another call around 4:00 on Wed, Nov. [redacted] stating that they are e-mailing me my invoice and contract. I informed the lady on the phone that I would not get the e-mail until I returned to work on Monday. My dumpster arrived (finally) at 6:00 PM on 11/**. We worked the weekend doing our clean up project but the dumpster seemed to fill up so quickly! Monday morning when I checked my e-mail, I found that I had received a 12 yd. dumpster instead of a 20 yd. dumpster and I was charged $440 for it. When I called the company and tried to resolve this with them, they said sorry the salesman sold you something much smaller than he told you, but the $440 is the price for that dumpster. We can refund you $40, but I can't exchange the full dumpster for an empty one (so I get what I paid for, or I wouldn't have rented it there@!!) unless I charge you another $440. WAIT!!!! YOUR salesman cheated me and you won't honor what he was supposed to do? A bunch of liars and cheaters to do business with. DONT GET DUMPSTERS FROM THEM!!!!Desired Settlement: Refund of at least HALF the amount billed since I was told I was getting a 20 yard dumpster for $440. I had other companies I could have gone to for that price and gotten what I ordered.

Response:

Customer called and placed an order with our sales rep, Kevin, on November ** for a dumpster to be delivered on Novembe[redacted], to [redacted]. Customer placed an order for a 12 yard dumpster for $457.60, which included 2 tons of waste and 10 rental days. Anything over the 2 tons, she would be responsible for paying $73 per ton over, and anything over the 10 days, she would be responsible for paying $13 per day over. This was all explained in detail on the invoice, terms and conditions that was sent to her email address when she placed her order. I do see we did have an incorrect email on file, but then obtained the correct one, and customer opened the documents on November ** (delivery receipt received). Customer called yesterday, November **, and stated she wanted a refund as she did not get the size dumpster she paid for. Customer claims she ordered a 20 yard dumpster. The price she paid is not a price for our 20 yard dumpsters. I offered to refund customer the difference between the 12 and 20 yard dumpster, as well as include an extra ton of weight in her waste. Customer refused, and said she would call me back with an answer.

Consumer

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because: At no time during the conversations with Kevin J[redacted] was there any mention of a 12 yard dumpster. The order was for a 20 yard dumpster from the beginning of the conversation and the company should stand behind what their sales representatives sell. I talked with Kevin J[redacted] several times throughout the day on 11/** and called later in the day to confirm what I ordered and what was going to be delivered for the price we agreed on. If their sales representatives are not properly trained, they shouldn't be selling the products for the company. I had an opportunity to get a 20 yard dumpster from another company for the same price and since Kevin told me he could get me the dumpster for the $440 (+$17.50 processing), I went ahead and placed the order. This company has told me that if I'm not happy with what I got then I can empty all the trash out of the dumpster and they will charge me another $250 for a dry run to come pick up the empty dumpster. Now that's great customer service! That way they keep the $440 I already paid and get another $250 on top of that. That is not a satisfactory resolution either.

In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.Sincerely,[redacted]

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

This company is the worst company I've ever dealt with. What they delivered and what I ordered were two different things. At this point, it doesn't matter because they don't give a [redacted] about their customer service or the fact that their sales person lied to me about what he was selling me. On top of all that, I signed the documents and returned them on December [redacted] and when I called to inquire why the dumpster had not been picked up, they told me that they were going to waive a $15 additional charge because I signed the documents late. How kind of them. It's all about the almighty dollar and what they can get by lying to their customers. I called them on Wednesday, December [redacted] and was told that the dumpster would be picked up within 48 hours. As of Monday, December [redacted], the dumpster had STILL not been picked up and when I called the company who owns the dumpster on Monday morning, they told me they had not been contacted by Dumpster Rentals, Inc. to pick the dumpster up. The company who owns the dumpster was going to call Dumpster Rentals to schedule the pick up. Again, [redacted] Customer Service on their part.

This issue will never be resolved because this company only cares about what they can cheat their customers out of to get more money from them. I would never recommend anyone use them for dumpster service unless you want to be overcharged and frustrated in your dealings with them.

In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.Sincerely,[redacted]

Response:

Customer placed the order on November **. At that point she was sent a paid invoice, and terms & conditions to her email address of which she provided when she placed the order. Customer did receive and open these documents, on November ** @ 3:12 pm, of which I have the email receipt of proof. In those documents, it stated that customer had gotten a 12 yard dumpster, of which she was placing C&D (construction debri) inside the dumpster. She had 2 tons of waste included and 10 rental days. Anything over the 2 tons, she would be responsible for paying $73 per ton over, and anything over the 10 rental days, she would be responsible for paying $13 per day over. Our documents also state, that we do not automatically pick up the dumpster when rental period is over, and that we do need a phone call when customer is done with the dumpster. Customer opened the documents for a second time on November ** @ 2:06 pm, and then she signed the documents the same day at 2:07 pm. Customers dumpster was delivered on November **. If there was any type of disagreement with our terms, or any of the pricing or sizing of the dumpster, that should have be brought to our attention on the date she FIRST opened the documents, which was November **. The dumpster was delivered 3 days later. If there were any discrepancies, customer should have contacted us right away, so we could fix the issue, before the dumpster was delivered. Invoice states very clearly, that customer ordered a 12 yard dumpster, and pricing is for a 12 yard dumpster, NOT a 20 yard dumpster. Customer then called in for a final removal on December [redacted] which was 1 day over the rental period, therefore she was to pay $13 over, as per the documents she signed. We did waive that for her, as she was very upset over her dumpster, and the "wrong sizing." Customer called us on December * to complain about the sizing issue, which is at that point 4 days after delivery of dumpster, and 7 days after receiving the documents. Customer then did not call back to schedule her dumpster to removed until December *, which was 8 days after she called to complain about the dumpster sizing being "wrong." Customer has advised us, she cancelled the credit card she provided when she placed the order, and disputed the charge as well. Our policy is that it takes **-48 hours for us to remove the dumpster. Sometimes however it does take us a little longer, as we can be busy and backed up.

I rented a dumpster on Monday, to be delivered on Tuesday they told me it would be there between 8 and 10 a.m. they never delivered it until Wednesday at 3:45. They charge my credit card. Then before they would pick it up the dumpster they email me paperwork that I had a sign stating what could and couldn't go in the dumpster. That was on the [redacted] of March. It is now the [redacted] of April and they still haven't picked up the dumpster and don't know when they'll be able to. I asked to talk to the owner of the company they said the boss is never there and they wouldn't let me talk to him.

Review: Rental of a dumpster from February [redacted] to March [redacted]. Company started late fees from the March [redacted] until March [redacted] after the contract was presented and signed March [redacted]. Confirmed with the salesman the dates of rental and the late fees were reduced to March [redacted] to the [redacted]. Have not paid any late fees and are looking for you to settle the dispute. The late fee is 75.00, was 200.00.Desired Settlement: The amount that was already paid of 390.00+is all that is to be paid.

Business

Response:

Customer called and expressed his concern about the rental time. I did honor the date of the [redacted] as he claimed he was told in the beginning. He was still over on the rental time, and was charged correctly for the rental time. He was discounted from $250 - $75 and his dumpster will be removed in 24-48 hours as explained to him over the phone.
