Earnin has been good to me for about a year or so. Recently, I had an overdraft twice due to all funds not being available when Earnin tried to take them. (Times have been hard and my money isn't the same, due to a few hour cuts with Coronavirus pandemic). My bank then charged a overdraft fee twice. I tried to go back to Earnin to cash out what they had taken to get my account out of the negatives, but "your acct can't b in the negatives, to cash out". So I went to the chat room to ask for help, at least to have my ACCt out of the negatives so family could send me funds until I get my paycheck. They switched me to 3 different people, the final specialist agent I spoke with, just keep giving me excuses; saying Earnin did not Overdraft my account, because they deducted the money before it was overdrawn. Quite sure they never heard of pending holds, but I sent a screenshot to show him what I was referring to. On my screenshot, You could see after each earnin withdrawal a insufficient funds fee was assessed. He goes on to tell me "well that's strange, it's my fault or my banks fault and I need to call my bank". I wasn't asking for him to tell me who was at fault, I wanted my cash out to be approved so I could get my acct out of the negatives. My point is, if you know I have been a great customer up with no issues until recently, why not allow me to cash out to pull my account out the negatives. I never asked for extra money. I am ***. Up until now, I liked Earnin, I even send tips almost all the time.
Although they have something where they will automatically cash you out if your money is low. It's called balance shield, It will send u money with out telling you. Which will bring your payout higher, Kinda forcing an increase on you. I went from paying 400 to being given an extra 100$ w/ out knowing from the balance shield. It puts ppl in further debt with them, and you have to ask for them to remove it. Any way, I will leaving this company due to them having 0 compassion *** ppl. During this hard time, And having no empathy for struggling ppl.

In our last chat with this community member, they were advised by one of our community advocates to reach out to their bank to see if they could reverse the overdraft fees on the bank's end. We have reached out to the community member to confirm if the bank was able to reverse the fees but unfortunately have not received a reply. We urge the community member to check their email and reach out to us so we can come to a resolution.

I haven't received a single email from earnin, and I check my email daily.

Fabulous compamy and customer service agent. Super friendly and helpful. Gemma was able to resolve my issue immediately. This company has been such an amazing resource during some rough times! Every interaction with them has been extremely pleasant and professional.

Poor Communication from Support Representatives and Missing Information on Help feature - now I am overdrawn.
Changed employers on February 3rd. Updated my employer in the app based on the instructions but I work out of two offices and needed to make sure I would get credit for both locations. Contacted support through the app as that is the only way to get in touch with them. Was asked if we have electronic timesheet system such as ADP they can connect to but I am salaried and don't clock in or out. Was never advised that I would have to submit at least one paystub and one direct deposit to change my pay schedule. Why would they assume pay schedules don't change with new jobs. Today Earnin pulled the $300 out of my account a week before my pay day causing me to go negative and will surely incur overdraft fees. Contacted support and the rep claimed I hadn't contacted them since November. Since we don't get transcripts of our chats, I have no way of proving it. She updated my pay schedule in the system. When I said their previous rep never advised what was needed to change pay schedule and I am still overdrawn thanks to them, the rep claimed that my bank would refuse the debits if there isn't enough funds and they would refund me any fees and then reschedule my debits. She must not know how banks work - they love collecting fees from saps like us. She then claimed that I can reach out tomorrow and they would be able to reverse the debits and reschedule. But reading through recent complaints here, I think she is full of it. I did advise that I took a screenshot of her last statement as proof so when I reach out tomorrow they can't say I didn't contact them.

Desired Outcome

I would like them to reverse the debits BEFORE I am charged overdraft fees and reschedule them for the correct pay date. I would also like them to provide customers with transcripts of the chats so we have proof of what was discussed. I would also like them to update their HELP section on changing employers to include if the pay schedule changes.

In our last chat interaction with this community member, they were asked to contact their bank to see if the bank would refund the overdraft fees in question. We have since reached out to the community member via email to follow up regarding these fees but unfortunately, we have not received a response. We urge the community member to reach out to us if their overdraft fees have not been returned by the bank.

OMG AS THEY SAY, THIS IS THE BEST THING FOR ME, THIS APP AND THE SERVICES THEY PROVIDE ARE AWSOME. Such a great option for when you are in a pinch and need quick cash to cover unexpected expenses. Sign up process is fairly easy and once you're able to accept your advance the customer service from live support is amazing. They are available 24/7 and I have never waited longer then 5-10 minutes total on any minor issues that came about, which were my actual banks fault, not Earnins and they were able to fix the problem without me having to deal with my checking account bank. They are the best Small payday advance company I've used and are currently using!

Earnin never deposited funds and now they are planning to take them out of my account
On 3/5/2020 I requested a cash out for *** which was to be deposited into my account on 3/6/2020. The funds were never deposited. I contacted customer service on 3/7/2020, 3/8/2020, 3/9/2020 and 3/10/2020. I sent screenshots of my bank transactions to prove that the funds were never deposited to 2 different agents. They claimed it was a delay even though I never received a deposit notification (I requested another cash out for *** on 3/6/2020 which was deposited as planned on 3/9/2020). So this is clearly not a delay but it was just never deposited. Each time the agents claimed that the issue was escalated to a specialist who would get back to me in one business day. I have never received a response. It has now been 4 days since I contacted them about the issue. The agents all gave me the same automated reply that it was just a delay and claimed to have escalated my issue. Furthermore, they are planning on deducting this $100 back from my account on 3/13/2020 even though they NEVER deposited it - that is theft! I already notified the agents that if they don't fix this I am going to request that my bank freeze the transaction. You cannot take money you are not entitled to when you never deposited it in the first place and never remediated the issue despite multiple contact attempts on my end.

Desired Outcome

I am requesting that the *** scheduled withdraw on 3/13/2020 be canceled. If you are planning to withdraw the money I need to see the funds deposited as promised before then. If not, I will escalate this issue with my bank and I will continue to escalate this issue outside of the Revdex.com.

After reviewing the community member's account and screenshots, we have determined that they did not receive their $100 cash out. We have credited the community member's account. We apologize for the inconvenience and hope that this resolution is sufficient.

First of all the app comes in clutch often! I love that I can access my own $ whenever I want, within the limits of your max but hey an extra couple hundred bucks when needed is nice. I have a max of $100 a day but that is fine and has helped me more times than I can list here.

I think for me the best thing has been their customer service however, I have had a few hiccups, first when I changed banks and then when the app accidentally un-linked from my bank, and a 3rd time when my pay dates somehow got mixed up and they pulled $ out not on my payday,

Now with all of that you would think I may have at least a slight complaint but their customer service is SO on point that each minor inconvenience was completely fixed and or made up for within 10 minutes max and I left the conversation completely happy and satisfied.

They have an awesome chat feature on the app that you speak to a real person (who speaks English) (that comment is in NO way racist but I work for a company that has to call major Insurance customer service often and the language barrier is a TRUE ISSUE and companies that out source call centers should really have consequences, but I digress)

Anyway the reps on their chat are amazing and they are so helpful and extremely fast, anything internet connected will end up with issues at some point and I have been with Earnin over a year with only 3 minor issues so I call that at least an 85% rate but add in their amazing customer service they get a 99% in my book!

Earnin charged me then proceeded to say it wasn't charged
They charged my account on the 14th and then allowed me another debit then proceeded to say I didn't pay the first debit wheny bank account shows on the statement my account was charged

I want my account removed and my money refunded I want to tips I gave and 2 of my 50$ charges refunded as well

Overcharge acknowledged and not corrected
Beginning January 17th, Earnin caused an overdraft in my bank account due to a debit occurring prior to a payday. Then, over the next 3 weeks, I was charged *** 8 separate times as well a few sporadic debits that were correct but no sense in terms of the timing. I brought this to their attention and was assured those charges would be applied. Then, last week, I was mysteriously debited *** after the company has ignored my last 9 emails responding to their questions and asking for clarification. I am done with Earnin and am just hoping I can get that refund processed before I have to get ugly at the bank.

Desired Outcome

1) I'd love some form of response and explanation as to why my correspondence has been ignored. 2) I would like to documentation requested to be sent immediately 3) If (when) the documentation of charges and debits is found to have discrepancies, I expect a full refund of what I'm owed within 24 hours. Come on, they can do it in seconds when it benefits them so I don't think this is going to be difficult.

I was checking my bank account and noticed there was a balance shield cash out for $100 which I did not authorize.
I was checking my bank account and noticed there was a balance shield cash out for $100 which I did not authorize nor did that payment reflect my account. I am utterly upset because I did not set up automatic cash outs and I did not use Earnin at all on 03/06/20. Nor do I have the money that was cashed out to me. There was no way to contact Earnin via phone only through chat and the person *** was no help at all. He lied 3 times saying I disabled the balance shield on 03/07 then that the app automatically disabled it after the cash out then he turned around and said I disable it on 03/06. I did not have the balance shield on and I did not authorize a cash out and did not use the app at any time on 03/06. When I went to confirm that balance shield was off the toggle was off so I wouldn't have been able to disable something that was already disabled. I see the money was posted to my account but was not in my balance. I did not have the $100. It's ashamed you cant speak to a live representative and they give you the run around and don't offer a resolution. Now I don't even trust using the app.

Never received my Cash out.
I requested a cash out amount of *** on 2/28/2020. I never received it and I have contacted customer service multiple times to get this situation resolved and no resolution yet. I have sent screen shots multiple times proving that I never received it, I have contacted my bank with the reference number they gave me and there is no pending amount of *** I am not going to sit around and let them take the *** out of my bank account as a "payment" when I never received it to begin with.

I just want them to cancel it so that it does not debit the amount that i never received from my account.

I have had some prettyamazing customer service with this company. There have been two occasions where the app was being difficult with my screenshot of my timesheet. The last time, Maryvie helped me. She is absolutely fantastic. I have worked in customer service for decades and she exceeded my expectations.

They put me at overdraft balances and said they can pay that , then say my GPS can calculate hours but that's also a lie I lost so much cash to them
I've probably used over *** with these guys , they lie and say they got you covered with overdraft fees, they lie and say GPS services can calculate a cash out but that's a lie I have been -135 to them , they don't extend and they take money out your account even if you don't have it, which is cool but they don't want to work with me and are falsely stating they cover my balance if overdraft and they covered my 3 times out of the 2 years I used them knowing I been overdrawn at least 15 times , my credit score declined because of Earnin taking money , they claim they take time cards but my time cards are inaccurate for them they have caused me *** and I feel like it's unfair I invested a lot and can't even get *** which I need

These guys put me in overdraft too many times and my bank refuses to pay me that and Earnin is out of line for that

Earning is amazing, they help out when you really need the help.

Earning must treat their employees excellent because even though I use the chat system to communicate with the customer service reps they make me feel comfortable like Im part of their family, they are polite and they take the time to understand the problem you may have.
