I have no complaints with Earnin! I think it's an awesome servie!

Thank you!

Earnin continues to overdraft my account by scheduling my debit to soon. They have resolved the issue in the past after a couple of months. The issue is that I get paid around 9 pm and earnin debits the account before 5pm.
The last time it happened they told me to reach out to them so as to avoid it happening again. I did just that. They responded by telling me that they cannot change the time or day that they debit the account.
I have given them a 2 week notice in an attempt to prevent it from happening, but they refuse to assist. As I am typing I am trying to put money together to pay them to avoid the inevitable overdraft fees that coyld be avoided if they would simply stop changing the days that they hit my account.

Earnin Response • Aug 05, 2020

We never want our community to have this kind of experience. We understand that you often get paid the night of the 14th/30th around, so we have set your account as Pays every 15th and 31st. Our records show that these are the dates our debits were made, but some banks process our debits before the pay date.

At this time, the best course of action would be to reach out to your bank to clarify why these transactions are posting early.

At first Earnin was great at communicating and I did not have a problem, but lately the few times I have made a deposit in my account from Earnin, they charge an automatic 11 tip fee as well as taking debits 3 day prior to from paycheck deposit date. I asked for a pay date to be changed, and said it could only be changed once and I agreed upon that, but they would never change it. So now when Earnin debits my account, it will affect me negatively because they are debit 3 days early.

Earnin Response • Aug 12, 2020

We have updated your account to the 15 and last day of the month.

In terms of the reschedule, we would like to clarify that our advocate offered a one-time courtesy debit reschedule to postpone your current debits until your following pay date so we can see when your upcoming direct deposit posts to accurately define your pay schedule.

We do see, based on your screenshot, that our debits do post before your direct deposit since your deposit is posted later in the day. So we have updated your pay schedule based on the information provided. Thank you for reaching out.

Earnin refuses to acknowledge debits made on their end or only debit after the direct deposit was posted.
My bank is very fast when it comes to posting direct debits, which is what Earnin uses to get their money back. My pay day is on Wednesdays every week. However, the direct deposit could be posted as early as 12:00 PM eastern, or as late as 6:00 PM eastern. I have spoken to my bank, and they post the direct deposit at the same time the information is sent from my employer's payroll system. They can't change when the direct deposit is posted.

With that said, I've encountered instances where Earnin tried to debit before the direct deposit posts, since the direct debits from Earnin happen around 3:00 AM according to my bank. That's what before the direct deposit posts. This has resulted in many chats with support, with the latest chats being about raising my max back to *** since my employer, bank, nor I have any control on when the direct deposit posts, thus resulting in failed debits.

That's also another issue. Earnin expects me to give them screenshots of my statement showing the debits happening before the deposit. That is impossible. I have spoken to my bank about this issue and since they don't charge fees for failed debits, the information would not show on my statement. I have attempted several times to explain this to Earnin, to no avail. It only results in a circular conversation. I cannot make information available that does not exist, and neither can my bank. Earnin fails to compromise on this matter.

The latest issue is the reactivation of my account. The last agent confirmed the debits posted successfully, then went back on that. I corrected the agent, however the agent still insisted the debits posted successfully, but they also didn't post successfully. I ended the chat.

In addition, I explained multiple times my email address has changed, however Earnin fails to update it.

The original email address is ***

The corrected email address is

Desired Outcome

I expect Earnin to: 1.) Reactivate my account and add my earnings based on the timesheet I submitted. 2.) Restore my max to ***, as the problem would never have occurred if Earnin waited until my direct deposit posted. 3.) If necessary, change the pay day to Thursdays to ensure the debits are successful.

Earnin Response • Aug 06, 2020

We have updated the community member's email address in their account, and our community advocates have reached out to the community member on July 30, asking for screenshots of the deposit date.

From these screenshots we will be able to update your account to a Thursday paydate instead of Wednesday. We just need written confirmation (screenshot) of when your direct deposit posts so we can make the adjustment.

Please check your email for this message and we can continue this discussion there. Thank you

We have your pay schedule set as pays every Wednesday, and we see successful debits made on Wednesdays.

If the deposits are posting early, we suggest you reach out to your bank.

If no overdrafts or NSF fees have occurred, then we do not need screenshots of your account. We only need that information if NSF fees or overdrafts were caused by our debits.

We hope this information helps.

If successful debits are being made, there's no reason for the max to be at *** I expect the max to be restored to the *** it was before this all began.

I really enjoy, value, and am grateful for Earning. This company has helped me many times. I very much appreciate accessing some of my funds sometimes before my pay day. This is a very beneficial service and I give it 5 starts. Quick and efficient customer service, always. The customer service has been top notch during covid.

Earnin Response • Aug 03, 2020

This is great to hear! We pride ourselves in helping our community on their way to financial health. We hope to continue doing so. Thank you for being a part of our community!

Had minor difficulty setting everything up, contacted support and Cherry Mae solved what was wrong. Then offered to set up the rest of my account. When I asked for help, she got back to me almost immediately. Wonderful experience.

Earnin Response • Aug 03, 2020

Glad we were able to help you get set up! Welcome to the Earnin community!

This company broke their agreement and began processing payments prior to my pay date resulting in additional charges with my bank and lots of frustration. I bank online and sometimes depending on how quickly our payroll is processed the check may come in hours before my scheduled pay date on the day prior. I was never notified of the change and then it became permanent and messed up my account. The customer service expert made me feel as if it was my fault and then admitted it was an error on their end.

My advice is don't use this service and don't expect a high level of resolution. This has been more work than it should be.

Earnin Response • Aug 11, 2020

Hi, there,

It looks like our community advocates were able to confirm your pay schedule of every other Friday.

After looking into your account, it shows our debits were made on Fridays except for July 3 as the fourth was a holiday.

We send these transactions to your bank with plenty of time to post to your account, but sometimes they are posted early. As our records show they have posted on the correct date, we would suggest reaching out to your bank to confirm the posting date.

Please reach out to us after you communicate with your bank if you need further assistance.

This company can not stay true to their word
I received an email letting me know that my debit would be rescheduled to August 14th. I checked the app and it still said 7/31. When I spoke to multiple customer service reps they all told me due to their policies they could not honor the reschedule date in the email.
I don't understand why or how I received the email in the first place. Even if it was an accident you should honor the mistake. Failure to work with incomes during a pandemic is not the work of an A rating business

Desired Outcome

I would like my debit rescheduled since that's what the email said. If not I would like my money refunded the next day on 8/1

Earnin Response • Aug 03, 2020

After reviewing this community member's most recent chat with our support team on 7/28, we see that their upcoming debit has been successfully rescheduled for the preferred date of 8/14. We urge the community member to reach out if they have any other questions or concerns.

Customer Response • Aug 06, 2020

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
This should not have been an issue to begin with. It caused way too much stress on me for a 3 day period. It's quite disappointing that a company can not make changes during a pandemic

Earnin Response • Aug 12, 2020

We apologize for any frustration and confusion. We can confirm that the reschedule has been confirmed. Please let us know if there is anything else we can assist with.

Earnin customer aervice is by far the best you can have out there, always speedy and knowledgeable been with them for almost 3 yrs now and as a financial service is the best and cheapest. Will recommend to anyone please give them a try is cheaper than a payday loan. Thanks earnin for always takong care of my needs as a customer.

Earnin Response • Jul 27, 2020

Great to hear! Thanks for joining the Earnin community! We're glad we were able to assist.

there is no way to talk to a person! I have tried many times to cancel and get a form msg saying my concerns have been satisfied?! I haven't used them for 2years, since I retired, and all of a sudden last month they started sending me money which I never requested! I asked my bank to stop them from sending and the bank said I have to contact Earnin! HOW!!!

Earnin Response • Jul 27, 2020

Hi, Wanda,
We looked into your account and see that it is still active though you haven't needed to use our services for a while.

We also see that your Balance Shield feature is still turned on, which is why you're seeing those transactions.

You can disable Balance Shield via the app or you can reach out to our live 24/7 chat to have one of our community advocates disable this feature for you.

Thank you

Earnin is a legit company that has helped me out of a few situations financially. The customer service is awesome. If you can't borrow money due to your bank or pay info not updated, a phone call will resolve the issue.

Earnin Response • Jul 20, 2020

Glad to hear we were able to help. At this time we don't have phone support services, but our community advocates can be reached 24/7 via live in-app chat or via our social media platforms. Thank you for your review!

"Carl was very quick, simple, and to the point, he was extremely friendly and professional. I really appreciate his help with updating my earnings. My greatest thanks

- Extremely satisfied customer"

Earnin Response • Jul 20, 2020

We'll definitely pass *** along to Carl. Thank you for your review.

I truly ALWAYS have the most convenient and successful conversations with the Earnin Community Advocates. I have quite literally NEVER had a poor experience with this app and I'm forever grateful for its existence.
Rosario and Philip, just to name a couple community advocates from my most recent interactions, were EXTREMELY expeditious and efficient with the help they provided, when I inquired about my payback and new earnings for the current pay period. Simply by providing screenshots of the account withdraw by Earnin, present balance, and new pay period hours summary, we were able to instantly resolve the issue.
I'm always so very pleased by the professionalism and rapid response by the Earnin Help Team, and quite frankly, I'm blown away by their amazingly frictionless functionality. I cannot think of another business that even compares to the customer support cast representing Earnin and their ability to consistently provide the most excellent experience while using an app on a smartphone. I'm very impressed by the performance of this app/business that I recommend anyone and everyone that qualifies, to join this app, and help out this community by tipping well and promoting a long and healthy lifespan for the Earnin app.
I'm a quality assurance engineer for Boeing, building NASA's SLS Rockets in New Orleans, LA, and the professionalism displayed by Earnin's employees, specifically customer support, is uncanny to the professionalism that I'm so accustomed to seeing at my own job. I'm honestly curious if Earnin's customer support is also directed by Rocket Scientists and Aerospace Engineers! ð??? Thank you for being awesome, all the time! I look forward to continuing my working relationship with Earnin, an A++ company!

Thank you! We appreciate your review and are glad we were able to help.

I contacted Earnin on 6/24/20 to inform them of my pay date change. I requested that my debits be changed to the 1st and the 15th.
I spoke to Airish N on 6/24/20 to change my pay debits to the 1st and the 15th, I was told I can do a one time change through Earnin and told them to change my debits to the 1st and the 15th. For some reason they changed it to the 1st and 13th. I was hit with $90 in overdraft fees. I contacted Earnin and they wont refund me the overdraft charges. I have attached chat summary I had with

Desired Outcome

I believe I should be refunded the $90 as I contacted Earnin ahead of time to inform them on my paydate changes and they still pulled from my account on the wrong day. causing $90 in overdraft fees.

After reviewing this community member's chat transcripts with our support team, we see that after reaching out on 7/16, the community member's pay schedule has since been updated and they should be debited on the correct days moving forward. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Customer Response • Aug 06, 2020

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I do not accept this resolution. I should be refunded the $90 in fees I was charged by my bank for over-drafting. I contacted them prior to avoid this and they did not change my debit dates like I asked them to. If you look at the transcript I provided it shows what my request was and they also confirmed in the transcript that my request was fulfilled. This was not the case, they pulled from my account on the wrong day and caused me $90 in overdraft fees.

Great customer service! Solve my problem and under one minute! Great job!
