It's been a bit rough since Covid started and me working from home but all in all anytime I call customer support the issues have gotten resolved. Sometimes quicker than others but ultimately it gets resolved. I've never had a bad experience - meaning anyone that logged in to help has been courteous and responsive. I would definitely recommend Earnin - it's been a godsend these last few months

I had last used the earnin app sometime in early 2019. I had changed jobs and it became a hassle for the app to track since I was never really at the office so I stopped using it. So imagine my surprise when I get a balance shield payment that I never asked for (I had not even logged into the app in well over a year) . I actually had to reset my password *** to get into the app. When I logged in I saw that my account would be charged 106.00 dollars on my payday, I was a bit annoyed that they had done this without asking me at all but I decided to just go with it and let the account be debited on payday. The issue is that they took the 106.00 dollars out TWICE for a total of 212.00 dollars for the 100.00 they gave me (without asking). Trying to get ahold of anyone at the company is a joke and from reading these comments, I fear that my account will be arbitrarily charged again. I need the extra charge of 106.00 dollars put back into my account asap.

After a quick look into your account, we see that your Balance Shield feature is active, so we can confirm this is why the Cash Outs were made on 6/25 and 7/6 to be debited back on 7/10. If you would like to disable this feature, please follow the prompts in the app or reach out to our live 24/7 chat or via Facebook or Twitter DM. Please note that our advocates will be able to disable Balance Shield but will not be able to adjust the tip amount. If you would like to change your tip amount, please follow the in-app prompts.

Read what I wrote. I haven't used your service for well over a year and my had dipped under 100 dollars a few times during the period and I never recieved a balance shield until now. But my real issue is that I RECIEVED ONE payment from balance shield but was DEBITED TWO payments. So you took an extra 106 dollars from my account. This is fraud plain and simple. If you won't take accountability for your mistake I'll just contact the appropriate authorities.

I would like someone from the corporate office to contact me. I am incredibly frustrated and upset with the treatment I've received. I've been a customer for some time now and when the pandemic hit I started to work from home (in March). I was able to provide proof that I worked from home and everything was fine. I was able to cash out my pay max of 500 every pay period and you will see I always paid on time every payday. I'm salaried so I don't have a timesheet, and my works firewall prevents me from using the email verification so I have request my earnings be updated manually. Now all of a sudden it's an issue and I get a copied and pasted policy. That's not customer service! I need a human being listening to what I'm trying to say. My payment history since working from home should stand on it's own, this should be proof enough that I'm not trying to pull one over you. I shouldn't be denied my pay max because I work from home. I have already shown proof that I do, I shouldn't have to keep jumping through hoops to get what I would be getting if I was working in a building. I have a medical condition, I didn't ask for this pandemic to happen yet I'm getting punished. Please contact me through my email on my account with you.

This instance was an internal allowance that should have have been followed and is not part of our police. We apologize there was a lack of consistency, and we have worked to address this part of the issue.

Teachers Run! Do not use! I have used Earnin for more than a year and have had to call customer support at least every other month because of some issue with my earnings. When the ENTIRE nation was brought out of the classroom to do school-from-home it was like pulling teeth to get them to update my earnings because I was not physically driving to the school. I also had the same issue last summer when I was still getting paid but did not drive to campus. Now, I have changed counties where I am teaching and had to update my school address and email because I no longer had access to the old school email. This blew their mind apparently because they have nothing in place for teachers and the fact that they get paid for a year contract. Because my old county would be paying me for July and August instead of my new county they would not add my earnings to the app. And it would not have even mattered because since we have ended the school year my old school email was no longer building earnings. I would have made the same call I did last summer to get earnings correct every time I wanted to use the service. And to top it off the latest customer service rep I talked to thought the answer was to be disrespectful to me when I was not treating them that way. I have deleted the app and WILL NOT use again. It should not be that hard for teachers who work on a yearly contract and their pay is direct deposited. It should be easier to allow someone to show you their contract, yearly pay, and monthly pay dates than to cause teachers to have to deal with these types of issues.

When changing or updating employers we need to see at least one direct deposit from that employer so we can set your new pay schedule. We understand with your transition to a new employer there will be a delay in your next direct deposit, but once the next one hits we can sort your account out.

I understood that to update to the new employer you need a direct deposit but when I notified Earnin that the next two paychecks come from the past employer that your company had already verified my employment and my pay schedule and allowed me to use for over a year I was told you could not change it back even though I could provide my contract with dates and a copy of the school systems pay dates for my contract. Earnin did nothing to try and help me when they could have simply changed the employer back to what it was for the final two months. My decision has not changed and I will not use the service again. If should not be easier for someone who has to turn in timesheets to use your service than someone with a contracted and guaranteed paycheck each month and I am just tired of having to argue about earnings and verifying earnings because I am a teacher and our work location changes throughout the year.

Earnin is very useful app and has gotten me out of jams, and helped me avoid overdraft fees from my bank.

Earnin is THE BEST app!! The concept of borrowing your own money while only needing to tip to do so is genius. The app works smoothly with my bank, the super friendly reps are always available via the chat feature, plus any issue is usually immediately solved. I recommend this app to anyone. It's my best financial secret to staying afloat. 10/10

First time using Earnin. I was skeptical at first but thought let me give it try. I read reviews and for the most part good things to say. What I appreciate the most was my experience with the CSR. Her name was Mericel. She was knowledgeable, patient, respectful, and understanding. I had alot of questions because I was new to the app and just wanted clarity on how ot worked. I usually feel rushed or like I still didnt get the information I was seeking. Well this young lady was great! I work in customer service myself and my goal is always making sure my customer is taken care of in all aspects. So not only do I have an app that can help me out when I maybe a little short on funds, but so far both times I've reached out to customer service I've had a positive experience. Being at my job for 20+yrs and still just getting by is the reason I appreciate this service from Earnin. I have grandkids and if they need something, ASAP I want to be able to help them and with this service I can do just that and for that I am grateful. the big plus is forwarding the help(tip) to the next person. Earnin has a glitch that is forcing customers to tip $11 and not allowing them to choose and then not refunding. That's fraud.
I have used Earnin for quite some time with no issues. The last 2 pay periods when I go to cash out there has been a glitch that has forced me to tip $11 both times. Normally you get a wheel that allows you to pick your tip. These two times this screen doesn't pop up and I'm auto charged the $11 as a tip on my account. I didn't authorize it either time. When you reach out to customer service they blow you off and can't help you. Imagine how many they "accidentally" do this to.

Desired Outcome

I would like a refund. I love the service. Just don't like to be forced to pay more and what I didn't authorize

I have never signed up with this company yet received random deposits a few days later there are withdrawals on the account.

We have reached out to this community member multiple times since his last contact with our support team but unfortunately we have not received a response. We urge the community member to check their email and reach back out to us so we can investigate this issue further. We hope to hear from this community member soon so we can come to a resolution.

They change their policies so that they no longer give extensions on their debit to people's accounts.
In the middle of this pandemic and the economic troubles that this pandemic has caused due to Employment Practices and post by government officials this company has decided to change their policies so that they no longer give any extensions for debit. They don't care if that means that you can't feed your family or that you can't pay your car insurance and that you may wind up with hundreds of dollars in overdraft fees. I will have no money for food nor will I have money to pay my car insurance and I will lose my job because of it because they refused to extend my debits this week.

Desired Outcome

I am seeking for this business to please extend the debits for one to two weeks for the debits that are occurring on June 26th. If they do not I request a credit of $210 to make up for the overdraft fees they called last time they did this and the overdraft fees that this would cause.

I have never had any major issues using the Earnin app and they have always been there anytime I was a little short on cash. The fees are quite reasonable as you only pay them what you, the member, think is fair. Earnin is by far a much better service than that of a traditional payday loan service. Their customer service responds quickly to any issues you may have. They are awesome!

I have been using Earnin (originally Active Hours) for 3-4 years. Sometimes you just need a little boost without the hassle of trying to get a high interest payday loan. They are fast, quick to respond, and courteous. I have never had a bad experience with them. Highly recommended company if you need a little extra cash advance (borrowed from yourself on the following payday). This has been especially helpful to me through Covid. These guys kept me on the road when all I've needed was a tank of gas or some groceries to get me through the week after my first months check went to rent. Living paycheck to paycheck isn't easy, but the Earnin team has been more than helpful.
