Edward Jones is refusing to transfer our account to another account On November 28, I sat across from my banker at the *** *** *** in *** NE(***) and requested him to intervene, the two of us contacted the corp office of Edward Jones and attempted to set up a transfer of our account to the *** Bank The Edward Jones representive said he was not licensed in the state of Nebraska and passed this from person to person , to person ending up with no one helping us Our bank representive *** *** told their representive that in all the years that he has dealt with transferring funds he has never had this much trouble!!! The Edward Jones respresentive proceeded to hang up on him Mr*** suggested that we contract the insurance company Edward Jones utilizes we gave this company all the appropriate transfer information This initial request\ contact took place on November 28,additional phone calls to Edward Jones Corpoffice were made by myself

I was not informed nor did I sign acknowledgement that there would be a ransom fee of $per account to move my money to another financial advisor

I opened up a Roth IRA account just a little over a year agoI was working with an investor who was new to the job and who only worked there for a few months before leavingI only made a couple small deposits into this account and it never became invested in any wayOnce my original financial advisor left, I happened to leave my job and relocate, so I stopped contributing and left the money in the account with plans to begin contributing laterA couple months ago, I tried to withdraw money from the account as I had done with another account I had open with Edward Jones at the time, but it would not allow this because it required a minimum amount in the account for future fees to be taken outA few days later, a $annual fee was charged, however a message from Edward Jones had declared that such a fee was not due until SeptemberThen, today, I received a call that informed me that, due to new laws, they were requiring accounts to have a minimum opening balance of $Therefor

They liquidated both accounts (me and my husbands)
They were never given permission to liquidate
We purchased these stocks at very low prices and had no intention of selling The bond was over 5% interest

months ago when I open my IRA I was told by *** if I ever wanted to take it out the fee would just be the regular monthly fee,I had asked him several times (5) to be exact. So on 2/25/when I requested my money be rolled into another account not with EdwardJones *** and his secretary stretched the transfer out over weeks and made it very hard to get my money, thus costing months fees =$plus a $termination fee,for a total of 195.00,then the next day blocked the account so I could not have access to the amounts and fees.I closed the account because I kept getting lied too,Beware

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 10, 2015/08/31) */

I opened my IRA account on 4/18/ I closed my IRA account on 2/26/ So complete length of time I have had my account with Edward Jones has been < years or about 34-months However they charged me years of annual fees I was charged $in April of 2013, $in April of 2014, $in April 2015, and then another $in February 2016, even though the fee was not due until April of So I have only had my account < years, but they have charged me years of fees totalling $ I have contacted the #and local office and have only been told, "we don't pro-rate the fees" However I'm not asking them to even pro-rate the fees, I am just aking NOT to be charged for fees I don't owe In addition I had to pay $just to close my account, which I feel was exorbitant and predatory to consumers I don't understand how they earned $95?? I filled out all the paperwork myself, and at most a wire fee to send money out is only about $15-$ It apppears

We surrendered our *** *** *** (which is now *** ***) to Edward Jones when requested to keep track of our assets
We decided to transfer our assets to *** *** due to a different retirement strategyEdward Jones has charged a $Fee to transfer our stockThey are not entitled to this fee as they have provided NO service or advice regarding this accountI called Edward Jones (Bob Gregory) and was advised to contact the customer service line and the Hold time was over a hour A agent called the next day and I shared my concern and was told that I could call the legal departmentThen I spoke with *** *** who is very nice but stated she could not help and no refund would be remittedI left a message for Bob Gregory and he never even returned my called I am very disappointed with Edward Jones
