Hi [redacted], To ensure we are reviewing the correct account for you, can you provide us with some more identifying information? Address, phone number, bar code ID, or email address?  Thank you,Blink member services

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

I understand the  $60 buy out fee. My concern was regarding me trying to cancel my membership giving more than a 45 day notice. I was told everything was okay and good to go. Then I'm told their is another fee added on that I have to pay when I was not informed. On the website is does not state the 45 days notice is a $15.00 fee as well. "We process cancellations this way because it provides a receipt of cancellation for you in the event that there’s a discrepancy. We require a 45-day notice with a pro-rate to be collected from the date the cancellation form is signed or from the date the mail is postmarked." The managers and staff of blink fitness should be trained to properly explain these policies that are unwritten.  I will go into the gym today to fill whatever form that needs to be filled out but to pay any fee I do not think that is fair.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

This contradicts what the club in the Bronx said when I called them when I was sent the invoice for the personal session the imposter booked. They said the other person used my name and contact info to book the session. My account also didn't allow for me to attend gyms at any other location besides Utica Ave and I was never notified that my account was switched to another gym. Not to mention the fact that I was clearly lied to when I attempted to close the account in October. Your business has made mistake after mistake throughout this process. I want proof that this person was paying for their account and that it wasn't used during the period that they were using mine.

Hello, We've followed up with the Area Manager Jerell. He informed us that he did speak with the member regarding multiple complaints. The first complaint dates back over 1 year ago. Since so much time has passed and employees have changed in said facility we are unable to correct the matter. However, the complaint of other members hoarding machines, using profanity, etc can be immediately addressed. We have addressed this issue with our staff and managers to ensure they are prepared to speak with any members acting inappropriately. We want all our members to feel comfortable and welcome in Blink facilities. We encourage you and other members to report any behavior that makes you feel uncomfortable immediately to the front desk staff/manager on duty.  Thank you again for bringing this to our attention so that we may improve.  Kindly, blink member services

They don't have a cancellation on record because they refused to cancel my service. I'm objecting to the "1 year obligation"At signup, it was never made clear what the employee was selling me included a 1 year obligation. The marketing around both offerings were identical. I went down to the gym today and went through the signup process. 1 year obligation was never mentioned up until the point I was asked for my credit card.I was under the impression that I would pay you until I no longer wanted to attend the gym, at which point I would stop paying you and my membership would be cancelled. Not that I would have to pay forward 45 days and pay a cancellation fee.

Hello, We have now refunded the other payment of $20.90 back to the credit card used.  We wish you well.  Kindly,Blink member services

Hello,We've looked into this member's account and see he did sign a contract for a Blue membership. Memberships are created digitally via online. When signing up online, the details of the membership you're selecting are shown. The site states for both Blue and Green memberships that they are for a...

12 month period and that there will be an annual fee charged (The annual fee date varies based on when a member joins). The contract that is digitally signed by the member states that there is a $60 buy out fee associated if the member cancels before their 1 year obligation. We do not cancel memberships immediately after a member decides to stop payment. They must submit for cancellation. Cancellations are processed by either visiting the club, filling out a cancellation form at the front desk, or by submitting a certified letter to:[redacted]

[redacted]We practice this methodology as it provides a receipt of cancellation for you in the event something isn't processed properly. We do require a 45 day notice with a pro-rate to be collected from the date the cancellation form is signed or from the date the mail is postmarked. At this time, there is past due balance on the account of $62.70. The membership will be set to cancel due to final notice collections effective 2/**/16. To avoid being sent to collections, the balance must be paid. To make a payment, you can either log on to [redacted] or simply stop by any Blink location. You can alsocall Blink billing account services at ###-###-####where you can speak with a billing representative Monday-Friday between the hours of 8am-6pm. If you call after hours, please feel free to leave a message which will be returned by a representative during the next business day.In good health,Blink Member Services

Hello, This concern was addressed with the member via Blink's member services inbox. A refund was processed and the account was immediately cancelled on 3/**/16. We apologize again for the inconvenience. Kindly,Blink member services

Hello [redacted],   Thank you for your email. I looked at the member's account and see that there is a past due balance of $62.70 for the annual maintenance fee ($41.80) and the 6/*/16 billing cycle ($20.90). We're willing to cancel the account effective 7/*/16. However the member is responsible for the past due balance owed.    The member can make a payment online, logging on to [redacted], by simply stopping by any Blink location, or calling Blink billing account services at ###-###-#### where they can speak with a billing representative Monday-Friday between the hours of 8am-6pm. If they call after hours, they can leave a message which will be returned by a representative during the next business day.   Thank you for your efforts with trying to resolve the matter.   Kindly,   Jamie B[redacted] Member Services Manager   blink fitness [redacted] [redacted] [redacted]   fitness for everybody• • everybody blinks   Pplease consider the environment before printing this e-mail

Hello, Thank you for your inquiry. The cancellation was submitted by this member properly. However was not processed properly by Blink. We sincerely apologize for this error. The error was rectified on 7/*/16 and the member was refunded $38.33 to the credit card charged.  We thank you...

for your patience and for being a member of Blink Fitness. In good health,Blink fitness

Hello,We first want to apologize for your experience. We by no means ever want to make any member feel uncomfortable. This feedback is valuable and has already been reported to our operations director to address. With regards to cancellation, Relocation as a reason for cancelling does not...

excuse any fees or notice in the states of NJ and NY. However, you mentioned that you are medically injured. If you are able to provide us with a medical document stating you are unable to work out for a period of 6 months or more we would be more than willing to cancel your account effective immediately with no penalty. Please email this note to [redacted] so our member services team can assist you. Kindly,Blink Fitness

Hello, Thank you for your inquiry. I looked into this matter closer and see this member reached out to us in email on 10/**/15 stating the following:Dear Blink Staff,I would like to possibly freeze my account until the new gym opens closer to my home. This would also help me to get over the...

financial disposition that I am experiencing at this time. I have not been there in a while and I am still being billed but I do not want to cancel my membership. Is there anyway around this?Best, We quickly responded within 24 hours the following:Unfortunately we do not have a freeze or membership on hold option.  If you wish to stop future billing you will have to submit a cancellation from in person at the club location or via certified mail. The member quickly followed up asking if we could waive the fees accrued to date. We replied by stating our memberships are not based on usage. Members pay a monthly fee to belong to Blink. They may utilize the facility as often or as little as they choose. We do not refund membership dues because of non-usage. The member reached out several more times repeating her request. We continuously and consistently explained how Blink memberships work to no avail. Kindly,Blink member services

Hello, This matter has since been resolved. The membership is now cancelled and has been refunded. We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused.  kindly,Blink Fitness

Hello,It seems the previous response was not as clear as it was intended to be. This member has a Grey membership which does have a contract associated. All Blink memberships have a contract that is signed by the joining member. Each member must agree to the terms and conditions associated with their membership class. Blue and Green memberships have a 1 year obligation period. Grey memberships do not, they are month to month until the member submits a cancellation request. Relocation simply waives a buy out fee associated with Blue and Green memberships only. Relocating as a grey member does not waive any fees. All members are required to provide 45 days notice. With that said, this member had not officially submitted a cancellation request either in writing in person at the club or via certified mail as specified on the contractual agreement. Therefore, as a customer service gesture, we canceled the membership effective the end of this month 5/*/17 as it is clear they no longer want to be a member of Blink.  Kindly,Blink Fitness

Hello, This member's account was set to cancel for final notice collections on 3/**/16. He owed 3 months of membership dues along with the annual maintenance fee. The member made a payment on March [redacted], paying off the balance owed. The pending cancellation date was then removed from his...

account and his account remained active as it was current. The member has since accrued a balance of $41.80 for two months of dues owed.  In order to cancel his account, he must submit a cancellation request via certified letter or in person at the club by filling out a cancellation form. 45 days notice is required.  To further reiterate, the member never requested cancellation despite being explained via email from member services on how to do so. Therefore, once his account was current the pending final notice collection cancellation date was removed and his account remained active.  The member reached out to Blink member services one time on February [redacted], 2016, asking what the cancellation policy was. We responded with the following: Thank you for reaching out to us. We do not accept cancellation requests via phone, fax or email. If you are unable to visit the facility to fill out a request form, the other option is to send your request via certified mail to:[redacted]We practice this methodology as it provides a receipt of cancellation for you in the event something isn't processed properly. We do require a 45 day notice with a pro-rate to be collected from the date the cancellation form is signed or from the date the mail is postmarked. There is a current balance on your account of $41.80 that would have to be paid as well prior to the cancellation being processed. A charge can be declined for a variety of reasons.  You may have been issued a new card, have a revised expiration date or simply closed the account in favor of another. You can go online at [redacted] to make a payment or simply stop by any Blink location, making a payment at the front desk. Please feel free to reach out with any other questions you may have and thank you for being a part of the Blink family where every-body matters! In good health, ••member services blink fitness

Hello, We have reviewed the account and see that the refund was processed on 7/*/16, $38.33. We have no record of recharging this amount.
