I called in January and asked for my account to be canceled - I was told "no problem"All I want is my account canceled - I dont need a refund - Just cancel my account I dont have time to be sending certified letters to stop a recurring charge at a gym - I should be able to cancel by email, phone call letter etc - requiring a certified letter is part of the scam - totally unreasonable - This policy is total not in-favor of the consumer!! SERIOUSLY what would the harm be? It's not like I am canceling brain surgery! REQUIRING A CERTIFIED LETTER TO CANCEL A RECURRING PAYMENT TO A GYM IS UNREASONABLE AND DOES NOT OFFER BOTH PARTIES EQUAL CONSIDERATION - IT IS ONE SIDED TO ALLOW THE VENDOR TO KEEP CHARGING BEYOND THE DESIRE OF THE CUSTOMER - A TOTAL SCAM.

Hello, Thank you for your inquiryThis member joined our 54th street location during pre-sale as a Green access member for a $stafeeAll pre-sale members are not allowed access to any location while their home facility is not openThe reason is they have not paid any membership dues
to utilize a facility and they have been given an exclusive $20/month rate instead of the $25/month rate given to non-pre-sale members who join open facilitiesOur system experienced a glitch for this particular membership which allowed him access to facilities despite being a pre-sale memberHe used multiple facilities sometimes twice a day for months prior to the opening date of the 54th street location with out paying any membership duesHe essentially had months of free time to work out in Blink facilities. When joining all members are required to sign a membership contractBlue and Green memberships do include a year obligationThis member did sign an agreement, agreeing to all terms and conditionsThree months after joining a blink, the annual maintenance fee is charged which is $+ taxThe language regarding the annual maintenance fee is listed under each membership class upon joining, in the FAQ page on the website, as well as in the membership terms and conditionsWe feel we gave more than adequate notice of our monthly fees, the year obligation, and the annual maintenance fee. Language on the site: 12-month agreement, billed monthly on the 1st.$annual maintenance fee is charged on the 3rd day of the 3rd month after joining. Language on the FAQ page: The annual maintenance fee is $and charged on the 3rd day of the 3rd month after joining and each subsequent anniversary of this date (i.eJanuary joins are billed April 3rd, February joins are billed May 3rd, etc.). In response to Revdex.com Complaint # ***, Blink provided me a refund of $I had quit their gym months before, and they had continued to charge meA few weeks later, on August 27th I saw more charges from Blink totaling $(the same amount they had previously reimbursed me for)I remain a non-Blink customer, so there is no reason I should have been charged. Blink should provide me an additional refund of $38.33, and cease from ever charging my credit card again

[redacted]We process cancellations this way as it provides a receipt of cancellation for you in the event that there’s a discrepancy. We do require a 45-day notice with a pro-rate to be collected from the date the cancellation form is signed or from the date the mail is postmarked.If a member is still within their one-year obligation, they are required to pay a $60 buy out fee which is associated with their Green or Blue membership class. Blink does not simply end the membership after the one year period is reached. The member signed up for a bill monthly continuous membership which means it continues to bill the member after their one year obligation until they decide to cancel their account.  This member in particular was went to final notice collections. We attempted to contact the member multiple times via email and phone with no response. After 90 days the account was cancelled and sent to a collection agency. They were unable to reach the member as well over the next few months. As a result the balance remained on the account.
