Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted] , and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because: [Your Answer Here] I reject this business response from Etsy because it seems like they did not investigate what actually happened with this caseI was giving the seller an opportunity to make things right before leaving them a nasty reviewI did not know about the 60-day limit to leave a reviewThat doesn't make sense to meWhat if a product breaks in right after the days are up? It seems like a pretty ineffective way to get feedback, unless they do not really want feedbackIt also seems like Etsy must get a lot of complaints because the letters they keep using to correspond with me seem like templates or just a copy and paste type of text to save time or cut cornersI have already started to tell my family and friends about this situationI am still waiting for them to make it rightThey should let me leave feedback.Thank you, [redacted] In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above Sincerely, [redacted] ***

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted] , and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because: [Your Answer Here] Etsy's sellers also agree to follow Ety's rules and provide items to the sellers that are like the description and not a faux representation of what the customer shall receiveThis was untrue in my experienceCompensation is needed In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above Sincerely, [redacted]

[redacted] [redacted] *** [redacted] [redacted] [redacted] [redacted] [redacted] Dear Mediator: This letter sets forth Etsy’s position regarding the rejection filed May ***, against Etsy, Inc(“Etsy”)Etsy’s service, Etsy.com, is a marketplace where people around the world connect to buy and sell unique goodsIndividuals may open up his/her own shop on Etsy to sell unique goodsTo use the site, each individual must agree to Etsy’s Terms of Use and other site policiesAs [redacted] (the “Customer”) explained in the rejection, the Customer was a buyer on the Etsy site and as such agreed to Etsy’s Terms of use.’’ In the complaint the Customer states that he wants to be refunded for a restocking fee from a seller on Etsy’s platform Our records indicate that on the Customer opened a case via Etsy’s case system, which is designed to resolve disputes between buyers and sellersOn a member of Etsy’s Trust and Safety team, which handles these issues, moderated the caseThe buyer claimed that the items purchased from an Etsy seller were significantly not as describedIn the case system the seller stated that she would issue a refund less a restocking fee once the items are returned and examinedThe seller received the items, issued a partial refund and provided proof that the listings were as describedAs a result, Etsy closed the case It is unfortunate that the Customer did not have a satisfactory experience purchasing on EtsyThese situations are unfortunate, but rareMost transactions on Etsy are completed without incident Please also note that the item the customer purchased was from the Etsy user ‘ [redacted] ’ who operates a shop on Etsy‘ [redacted] ’ is not an Etsy employee Pursuant to Etsy’s Terms of Use, the Customer releases Etsy from all claims, demands and damages arising out of or in any way connected with this disputeEtsy considers this matter closed If you have any questions please contact me at [redacted] Sincerely, [redacted] Etsy, Inc

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted] , and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because: I felt that I deserved an straight answer to a straight questionI asked, that if my shop was closed because Etsy deemed I was selling commercial products, why was at least other sellers overlooked who are selling exactly the same itemsI asked how their integrity team had missed one of the sellers who has been active since and has over products listed, when I had been on there less than weeks! This was my question and in what seems to be typical Etsy manner, they were evasive, responding with 'we don't discuss other sellers'I believe this episode illustrates that Etsy are found wanting when it comes to applying their policies in an even-handed manner In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above Sincerely, [redacted]

Dear Mediator: This letter sets forth Etsy’s position regarding the complaint dated March *, against Etsy, Inc(“Etsy”)Etsy’s service, Etsy.com, is a marketplace where people around the world connect to buy and sell unique goodsTo use the site, each individual must agree to Etsy’s Terms of Use and other site policiesThe Customer Cheri Morris is an Etsy member and agreed with Etsy’s Terms of Use Etsy’s Terms of Use state, “You release Etsy (and Etsy's officers, directors, agents, subsidiaries, joint ventures and employees) from any and all claims, demands and damages (actual and consequential) of every kind and nature, known and unknown, suspected and unsuspected, disclosed and undisclosed, arising out of or in any way connected with disputes with one or more users, or an outside party.” In the Complaint, the Customer claims an item she purchased from an Etsy seller (the “Seller”) was defective and that the Seller agreed to send a replacement According to our records, the purchase was made on August **, 2013, and the Customer’s deadline to file a case with Etsy’s dispute system expired on November **, While the circumstances did not allow the Customer to file a timely dispute, it appears that the Seller shipped a replacement item via DHL on March *, 2014, and provided the tracking number [redacted] Etsy considers this matter closed at this timeIf you have any questions, please contact me at [redacted] Sincerely, [redacted] Etsy, Inc

NEGLIGENT BUSINESS - I Purchased a Christmas gift and assumed my order was delayed because of the holiday rush but after a few weeks had passed I contacted the craftspersonAfter a few emails and numerous excuses I tried to contact Etsy and discovered that they have ZERO customer serviceFurthermore after days you can't file a case to petition a paymentWhat little service they have is a FAQ on their website that is a loop to nowhereI eventually found a phone number that goes to a recordingIt seems criminal and negligent at best to maintain a procurement website without responsive customer service

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted] , and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because: I understand the that one needs to review the shipping information during the checkout process, however, I find that the burden of responsibility changes if the vendor alters the street, city and zip that was just entered by the user in a prior screenWhat is the purpose of asking for the address in the first place? I find this process of altering addresses to be highly unusual and commercially unreasonable as I've never experienced anything remotely similar on any other e-commerce platformIt is for this reason that I have been insistent on making this complaint and Etsy has yet to formally acknowledge the true nature of my complaint With regards to the closing the case, I chose to do so because the seller did nothing wrong, so from that perspective, I did not wish to tarnish her the reputationMy specific complaint is with Etsy and their checkout process, which I view to be faultyI would also add that their current customer service structure, there is basically no way for a user to seek help or make a complaint directly to Etsy, as any issue is automatically assumed to be between buyer and seller Best regards, [redacted] In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above Sincerely, [redacted]
