process, we will provide the results of our investigation directly to the consumer.Regarding our investigation process, Experian contacts the source of the disputed information directly by letter, telephone, or through an automated verification system. We ask the source to check their records to verify all of the information regarding the item questioned, and report back to us within 30 days of the date that we received the consumer's request. Once we receive their response, we send the consumer the results of the investigation. If we do not receive a response within 30 days we update the item as requested or delete the information, and send the consumer these results.According to the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), a consumer reporting agency's role in the dispute process is to investigate the information to determine the accuracy and completeness of any disputed item by contacting the source of the disputed information and informing them of all relevant information regarding the consumer's dispute. If the issue is not resolved, then the consumer reporting agency must offer to include a consumer statement on the personal credit report. mentioned consumer's Experian credit report.Our records indicate that we have previously investigated US BKPTCT CASACRAMENTO #1236617RSB. Investigations were initiated on 04/27/2016 and 03/10/2016. The information was verified as accurately reported at the source: US Bankruptcy Court in Sacramento, CA.If a bankruptcy was dismissed or withdrawn, it appears on the personal Credit report because every action that relates to credit may become part of the credit history. So even though the court did not allow the Completion of the bankruptcy, the fact that the case was documented allows it to appear on the personal Credit report.If the consumer disagrees with the results of the reinvestigation, it is the Consumer's legal right, under the FCRA, to add a 100-word statement specifying the nature of their dispute. regarding the above mentioned consumer's personal credit report.Our records indicate that we have contacted the data furnishers to verify the accuracy of the information with which the above mentioned consumer disagrees. The disputed information was verified as accurately reported and confirmation was mailed to the consumer for review.When a consumer disputes the accuracy or completeness of information on the personal credit report and tells us specifically why they believe the information is inaccurate or incomplete, we process the dispute as required by law. We contact the furnisher of the information or the vendor that collected the information from a public record source such as a court or other government office either electronically or by US Mail. We ask the furnisher of the vendor to conduct a thorough and complete investigation to verify all of the information regarding the disputed item, and report back within the time frame required by law. We review and consider the response to determine whether to accept it, reject it, or follow up for additional information. If, after processing, we find that the disputed information is inaccurate, incomplete or cannot be verified, we then delete that information, or modify that information, as appropriate, based upon the dispute and the results of our processing. If we do not receive a response from the furnisher or the vendor within the required period, we update the item as requested or delete the information, In some instances, upon reviewing the credit file and any relevant information submitted to us, we are able to determine whether the disputed information should be changed or deleted without having to contact the furnisher or the vendor. Investigations can take as long as 30 days to reach a conclusion.
