This is something that would need to be disputed directly with the credit bureaus.  We are unable to look up any account information based upon this complaint.  We would need more identifying information to be able to locate the correct account, such as the account number listed on his...

credit report for this line item.  With that unique account number, we would be able to locate the account and pinpoint the problem, without it, we are limited.  It isn't uncommon for their to be credit issues between Jr. and Sr. family members.  As this individual states that they have contacted our office, and was told that his social security number is not on file, and that we are unable to locate an account for him without the associated account number which he seems unable or unwilling to provide, the appropriate next step would be to contact the credit bureaus to dispute the amount listed as we have no information in our system linking the account to him and can't research it any further.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I have also viewed my credit report with [redacted]. The “collections” account is still on there. It shows that I had a bill go to collections. (As explained before Of no fault of mine) it says I have no accounts in collections NOW but it shows now that In the past I had one account go to collections and is still giving my account a negative. This needs to be completely wiped out. Since this is still effecting my credit report. I’d like the collections company who initiated this to look into this further so it shows I never had a bill in collections! This is effecting my ability to get a loan. Had the providers office billed me from the get go instead of sending the bill to an address I never lived at due to their typo error , we wouldn’t have this mess to begin with.
