I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me even though that is not exactly how the call transpired. A male asked my name and then blurred out my social security number. He never advised it was an attempt to collect a debt just that the call was recorded. He didn’t provide creditor information until I pressed who he was, the reason for the call and what this was about. I advised I never have taken an online loan and he accused me of doing so several times until I asked several times who he was. He spouted off FMR but no case or billing account number, he wouldn’t “validate” the debt unless I admitted I took the loan out from some creditor I’ve never heard of. Again, there is something terribly wrong where a supposed creditor isn’t showing up on my credit report and I have no record of any such loan. I was not told this was closed and that he wouldn’t call me again, he said he would let the creditor know I was claiming it was not me but that was it as he hung up on me just like all the hundreds of people who have questioned this sort of attempt to obtain money. I’m hoping they stick to the response and never contact me again.
Regards,
[redacted]
