I cannot get them to come to my residence in a timely manner to fix the problem. Dear Revdex.com,Thank you for the information. We thank you for the information. We have informed the client that he has a past due amount due. We are scheduled to return to his home 10/24 for his work. We have decided to not charge him the fees for past due on his account as a customer service gesture.

We called Gillece to come and unclog our drain in the basement on 2/3/16 in the morning. The appointment was scheduled for Friday, 2/5/16 between 2:00 pm and 6:00 pm. We received a call from the service technician at 7:10 pm stating that he would not be coming that night. No excuse as to why he wasn't coming or an apology or what the status of our issue was. He rescheduled on Saturday, 2/6/16 between 2:00 pm and 6:00 pm. I received a call at 2:10 pm stating that they were running behind schedule (AGAIN) and wanted to know what the latest they could come out. I stated that we waited around all afternoon on Friday for them and they blew us off and now they are asking us to do the same thing on Saturday. She wanted to see if Sunday would be a better day, I told her no, I wasn't going to waste the whole weekend waiting and hoping for the repair person to come to my house. I told her to let us know on Saturday when he might be coming if it wasn't going to be by 6:00 pm. Received a call at 7:23 pm from the repair man that again he would not be coming. Gillece wanted to reschedule for sometime this week. Well, Sunday morning came and my whole basement was flooded. Thank you Gillece for your ignorance on not living up to your scheduled service calls. You should be ashamed to even be in business. When customer's call for service they usually are in an emergency situation, they are not expecting to be blown off for several days, due to the repair man not feeling like coming after 6:00 pm in the evening for a scheduled appointment.

Customer service was great from my serviceman Adam. He was quick, efficient and very knowledgeable.

Review: I contacted Gillece because my basement drain backed up. I requested a camera so they could show me what the problem was, my first issue was the tech used the floor drain instead of the house trap to run the snake through after the water went down the tech told me that I didn't need the camera. I asked him did it cost more he said it came with the service, so I told him I needed the camera I could tell he didn't want to use it for some reason. He finally put the camera in the house trap for like a minute and said the traps bad how's your credit, I could use a machine to blow it out for 3000 dollars or I could replace the trap for 8000 dollars. I asked to see it on the camera he said he couldn't get the camera through. I asked him why would I spend that kind of money if you can't show me the problem, he stated "I've been doing this for ten years take my word for it". I felt like he was trying to rip me off, I payed the 165 dollar fee and decided to call a manager, this was on a Sunday I called 3 times and finally got a call back from [redacted] on Monday around 4 I explained the problem he seemed to be helpful and said since I was not happy he could send a camera tech out free of charge and the operations manager [redacted] would call me. He called the next day and was very unprofessional telling me it is up to the tech weather to put his 10 thousand dollar camera in the drain I told him when I called I specifically asked for a camera and if he would have told me that I would have called a different company. He told me that since I was trying to get the tech fired he would fire him and it's my fault. I said all I wanted was a camera tech to show that my trap was messed up if I was going to spend that kind of money since that's what the camera is for. He said the only way he would send a camera tech back out if I agree if he shows me the trap is bad I would let them do the 8000 dollars worth of work. I felt like a little old lady he was trying to embezzle money from.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund and this to be documented by the Revdex.com so they can't keep trying to rip people off

In regards to the complaint, we want to thank you for allowing us to respond. I wanted to first point out that the customer was never charged for a camera service. Being that he is a commercial property (barbershop) he was charged a total of 164.00. $65.00 service fee (standard for all commercial plumbing calls) and $99.00 snaking.. We do reserve the right to camera a customers line, if we feel that it is not in the companies best interest. The equipment is very expensive, and the technician is responsible for his tools. The technician did stick the camera in the sewer line, and it was found that he was unable to get the camera thru the customers house trap. At that point in time, the camera could not show a visible defect, as it was under water and the water was mainly sewage. It was explained to the customer that we could start with the house trap. The customer was given options verbally and ball parked and he declined service. The technician also reported that the customer informed him that he has someone who can do the work for a cheaper price. It appears price has a lot to do with his complaint, as he mentions it thru out. Therefore the tech made a decision to not spend any further time with this particular customer and move on to a customer who has the need for our services. The published camera fee is $199.00. As the customer noted he was only charged $165.00 that was for the snaking and the trip fee. At this time we feel that we have provided the customer with as much educated information as we can. The specials that he is referring too are published on our website and are published for residential customers. When asked about the property the customer informed us that it is a residential property, therefore if he had provided us with accurate information the customer would have been informed of commercial practices. At this time we feel no refund is applicable as we restored flow to the drain.

Response:

Regards, I was told by the tech that the charge for the charge for the service was 165.00 which included the camera, not 164.00 that he stated which I [redacted] show on my receipt. When I made the service call I specifically requested a camera, if I was not charged for a camera why would the tech put such a expensive piece of equipment in the sewer line for free? He stated that the camera could not show a visible defect, as it was under water and the water was mainly sewage if this is true then my sewer line was still cloged which I found out on Jan 10 six days after the service my basement was full of water again due to the tech running the snake into a floor drain instead of the house trap. He stated the customer was given options verbally and ball parked and he declined the service why would he give a ball parked figure if the camera could not show a visible defect? I specifically told the lady on the service call that it was a barbershop that's why I was charged the commercial fee it clearly states on the building three generations barbershop. Again I don't see how you could ball park a amount if you could not show a visible defect. After this [redacted] calls me and said he would give me my money back if I took the complaint down. It would be great to get a refund but it's about the principal now not the money

Response:

Dear Revdex.com,Once again thank you for allowing us to share the "truth of the matter"... This complaint is invalid, the "customer" aka business owner was given the camera. while our plumber was there he informed the customer that he felt the trap was not in proper working order. he suggested that the customer start with either hydro scrubbing or replacing the trap. As the camera would not make it beyond the trap and it was under water and unable to see what exactly was going on. The customer informed the plumber that he has a "guy" that us can use to do the work. At that point the plumber didn't feel the need to be there and packed up and left. To wrap this up, We snaked the line, we camered the line, the customer has another person he can use, would not use Gillece to perform any of the work. Wanted to use us for the free camera, that we did provide. (it is also our right to refuse this service if we feel its in the best interest of the company). So basically this "customer" filed a complaint because we did not pin point the exact location of the problem so his handy man could illegally excavate the line. I say illegally because in Allegheny county a registered plumber is needed to perform plumber repairs and have such work inspected. We feel that we have performed the work that the customer paid for and therefore at this time we do not see the need for a refund.

Response:

My drain backed up a couple days later and I have found a certified Plummer who said the drain was not fully cleared because you did not use the house trap. [redacted] filed a false claim against my barbershop under the name [redacted] using his email address in retaliation for my claim against Gillece. His actions are very unprofessional, and shows his true character.

Response:

Dear Revdex.com, Again thanks for allow us to clear this up.... when the plumber left the business the line was flowing, we put a camera the line, the line was found to have a issue with a trap. the camera wouldn't make it thru.. the customer was offered options and declined. he choose to get another opinion. however when we completed the work, it was up to the standards as he signed and paid for. Also as the customer has agreed that this is a business I wanted to include our restrictions for our specials. It is our opinion that we have done everything agreed upon and that this is a vindictive complaint. As his main concern was the price given by [redacted] our Plumber. As he already has explained to me that he could have gotten the work done by another person, and yet wanted to use our "cheap service" When we left the line was flowing. please see information from our website below..Restrictions & Special GuidelinesUp to 75 feet of cable for main drains; up to 25 feet of cable for smaller drainsLonger distance costs may occur.Large drain cleaning equipment use for accessible basement areas onlyUse of large drain cleaning equipment for upper floors and other interior and exterior areas of the home [redacted] incur additional feesNOT ALL DRAINS AND SEWERS CAN BE CLEANED – factors such as roots, broken pipes, shifted pipes and ultimately what materials are in the pipes affect attempted cleaning results. We reserve the right to not service faulty drains or drains with reoccurring issues.Single-family residence only. Gillece is not sticking to its guarantee I paid 165.00 on January 4 on January 10 the drain backed up again that's five days later and [redacted] refused to send someone else out unless I agreed to let them do the 8000 dollars worth of work that they claim I needed I wouldn't agree (there hast to be some type of warrantee on there work) Then he said he would send me 65 dollars back after I filed a complaint he went back on his word I paid a license Plummer come and he ran the snake through the house trap it has not backed up again I think Gillece owes me for not fixing the problem and still charging me I should get a full refund I [redacted] never do business with them again I think it's a problem when a business has 80 complaints against them. I guess that just a coincidence.

Business

Response:

Dear Revdex.com,Thank you again for allowing us to reply to this concern. As we stated in a previous response, our specials only apply to residential customers. It is clearly stated on our website. We do not guarantee a camera to everyone, the unit it self cost roughly $15,000 new, and its a risk we were not [redacted]ing to take. Mr. [redacted] had not informed the cusotmer that he must pay $8000.00. What he suggested was , that in fact if a priblem was found would the customer be intrested in going forward with the work. The customer said " only if your the cheapest price" At that time we did not feel the need to take the risk of damaging a cmaera in a commerical sewer line. The cusotmer paid for the snaking only, thats what we provided.

Response:

The fact to this matter is I had to pay for the same job twice if Gillece would have done the job right the first time I would not have had to pay twice. They did not honor there warranty at all and since I had the work done by a real professional it hasn't backed up since. I [redacted] never use them again and [redacted] advise anyone to never use a company that does not honor it warranty

In regards to the [redacted] complaint we are in the process of refunding the 165.00 to him. Our customer service manager joe spoke to him and we have resolved our differences. Please reach out to him in a few days to verify the information. Thanks

Review: Gillece Electric promised they would arrive by 2pm, their advertising and trucks clearly say "same day or free" they called about half a dozen times throughout the day to say they running a little late, only to eventually call at 9pm to say they weren't going to make it. They said that even after at 6:30 pm the tech called and said they were still coming. I waited all day based on their promise. Worse yet, it was friday, so by they time they no showed me I had missed the opportunity to call another electrician until monday -- almost seems like their plan. Anyway, they arrived the next morning and quoted an astronomical price. I took a pass on using them, but was much surprised to see that the technician still felt he was due a $65 service fee even after they wasted a whole day for me the day before and all of their adverting clearly saying "same day or free." As a side note, anyone looking to use Gillece should know that I got the job done 3 days later from another company for about the price -- saved about $1200 by not using this company. Gillece will lie to you about your appointment and then try to charge you horribly high prices. Do not use them!Desired Settlement: Refund my payment.

Response:

Dear Revdex.com,

Thank you for the opportunity to review this claim. I would like to point out that the same day policy is for emergency calls only. Mr. Schreiber wanted his hot tub connected and therefore didn't qualify for the same day service. we would be happy to refund his 65.00 . please close this under a price complaint, as he wasn't happy with the quote given.. thank you.

Gillece Services

Review: In 2015 Gillece fixed a problem with my furnace which was under warranty. No issue there. This month, the part that was replaced began failing. Gillece ordered a part to replace it, charging me $1028 for it and has broken 4 appointments I made to replace the part. They repeatedly fail to show up for appointments made well in advance (I had one with them between 8-12 am 12-14-15 which was made 12-8-15 and they called me at 11:30 am to say they would be delayed and again at 3:00 pm to say they would have to reschedule) I have another appointment with them Friday, 12-18-15 but have no confidence they will show for that, either)Desired Settlement: I would like them to keep the appointment made and readjust the billing of the replacement furnace motor since it went bad less than one year after it was replaced. I highly doubt they'll adjust the charge, but a kept appointment to replace the furnace motor is the best I can hope for.

Dear Revdex.com and Client, We do apologize for the inadequate service provided. We have reached out to the client and have solved his concerns, we strive for total cusotmer satisfaction and in this case we did not meet it. Client is happy we can still finish the work.

Excellent service! A smart, pleasant, efficient, and expert electrician who figured out our problem and solved it. Thank you! Tiffany is the best.

Timely, great service, courteous, professional, highly recommended!

Review: I had work done on 5/26/13. They replaced about an 8 foot pipe drain from my sink. They charged me and I signed the papers to pay about 2500. It took all of two hours. I thought it was a big deal. I guess it was so expensive because it was on a Sunday/Holiday. They did not explain that to me. I messed up, but they took advantage of things. I signed up for a $99 cleaning.I'm embarrassed that I paid so much. The company should be stopped from doing thatDesired Settlement: I did not get an itemized bill. That is my fault, I want an itemized bill along with an explanation as to the cost.

In response to this claim please review the following information:

We replaced the main stack to the kitchen from the basement floor up. We also re-piped under the kitchen sink. All of our work has a lifetime warranty, and our trucks come fully stocked there for our work time on each job is shortened dramatically because we are not making trips to and from a parts supply house. The customer had the option to get another opinion, however chose to get his problem fixed immediately. The customer does not state that the work was done poorly, but main the price was what he considered high. We do not increase rates on weekends or holidays. We have one standardized pricing manual that is the same 7 days per week 365 days per year. The customer was given multiple options and chose this option.

This customer is a good previous customer of ours. We would like to offer the customer a complimentary gold plan for 1 year. This plan allows 4 free service inspections per year, no trip fee for the year and also allows for up to 15% discounts off any future services.

Thank You

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 9557677, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

I want to see an itemized bill. I did not have multiple options, either given to me or discussed.

I Signed off on the offer, not realizing the entire job would take about an hour and a half

They basically gouged me, and I feel stupid for it, but I am not dropping my complaint. This is how Gillece takes care of a "good customer"?

Plumbing is a good business, I would like to see what a service of $1200 an hour consists of.l

We have made several attempts to rectify the customers complaints. We have made numerous offers to reduce the price, the largest being $1000.00 for this. The Bisbee’s are previous customers of ours and we want to earn their business in the future. They have declined all offers. In regards to the break down, Our contract (signed by them) states under the payment paragraph "All work is done on a flat rate basis. The price includes materials, labor, taxes. No breakdown will be given". Our breakdown would be extremely complex, as we would have to include all of our costs. This would include insurance, all employees wages, utility bills, vehicle costs, building maintenance, taxes, etc, etc.. In the state of Pennsylvania it is illegal for a licensed contractor to charge by the hour, and therefore we have to give the upfront, flat rate price.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. This is based on a conversation I had with Gillece, a gentleman named Tom E, that has agreed to reimburse us all but $800 of what was charged to us. This conversation occurred yesterday June 13th between 10 and 10:30.

I contacted Revdex.com earlier today to find out how to best move on and close this complaint. I was told that if resolution did not occur as agreed to, I could reopen this complaint. Prior to contacting Revdex.com, I made two attempts to discuss the best method of closure with Tom.

In summary, I do not accept the written response, but I am willing to close the complaint, provided our verbal agreement holds.

Review: I called Gillece not realizing the volume of complaints against them. My water heater was leaking. They only showed up 3 hours late, and then began talking up a storm about their excellence in service. The repairman told me that if I fix the main water pressure valve for the house, that my problem will be resolved. He charged me $500 for this repair, elsewhere it costs $150 I later found out, and on top of it all, the problem was not fixed. My water heater continued to leak, and they then told me that I have to fix a hose on it which will cost $800 to repair, mind you replacing the whole thing will only cost $300!!! They are quick to respond, they promise you a time, then they string you along so that you don't call someone else.Desired Settlement: I want a refund of their unnecessary work that I overpaid for...

Business

Response:

Dear Revdex.com,thank you for allowing us to reply to this complaint. The customers only complaint to us after two weeks of installation was that they wanted their money back because they pay too much we offer to come back out for no fee to be look at the problem and the customer denied. We attempted to read look at the problem to verify that our repair was indeed the correct one. At this time we are unable to assist the customer as they only want a refund and one is to remove the parts we installed due to what they consider is a high price. The customer is beyond her three-day right of rescission in at this time unless we can not do anything.

Review: Gillece plumbing advertises that they remove all clogs in sewer lines for $49.95 guaranteed. A technician opened a blockage in our septic line in January of this year, 2015. The company warranted their work for a period exceeding two months. I have another clog and called to have it removed. A technician arrived very promptly and did his best to perform the work. He was unable to remove the blockage, however, only because he happened to not have enough sections of snake for his machine on the truck. The first tech used 5 sections to remove the clog and had several more with him on his truck in case they were needed. The tech who arrived today to deal with the problem only happened to have 4 sections with him. He informed me that it wouldn't be a problem, the company would send out another tech with the required sections. After calling his manager ([redacted]) to inform him of the situation, [redacted] ordered the tech to leave the property at once, if I wasn't interested in purchasing a different service for more than $300. To be clear, this extra service was NOT required to fix the problem. All that was required was one or possibly two more sections of snake. This was not only my opinion, but was the professional opinion of the technician as well. I feel that they did not fulfill the terms of their warranty which stated that they would provide the same service as their previous visit to correct the problem. In addition, a video camera inspection was included with the service that I initially paid for and was never performed. I even offered to pay double the advertised fee if the company would simply send out the required tools to finish the job, and [redacted], the manager, refused. I feel that I didn't receive the service guaranteed in the company's warranty of their workmanship. The management refused to accept my offer of paying $100 to complete the work, even though I wasn't liable to pay for the service that I was promised by their sales team.Desired Settlement: I want the job finished that they promised to perform. I want a technician with at least 5 or 6 lengths of snake to return to unclog my septic line, just like the first tech carried on his truck. I am willing to pay the advertised amount a second time to have the job completed to my satisfaction. Gillece did not give me this option and ordered their technician to leave my property. I would also like a personal apology from the manager, [redacted], for his rude and unprofessional attitude.

Response:

Thank you for allowing us to respond to this concern from the customer. I am [redacted] the Customer resolution manager and my goal is to satisfy the customer. In this matter, I would like to allow the customer to call me at ###-###-####. Our advertise special is a one time special only. The customer had used this special back in February. We suggested that we follow up with a camera. The customer had informed us that they have rocks and other obstructions in the line, at that point it is not in our equipment's best interest to try and abuse it with a known obstruction. I would be happy to discuss this with the customer upon their phone call.

I made a reservation to have some electrical service for our new residence. The scheduled time was sometime after 6pm. We waited until after 7:00 and the guy verified it was still going to be a bit. He then called at 7:35 to say he was on his way. At 8:25 I called to cancel as I an disabled and on chemo and could not stay up the necessary time needed for the late arrival. When I called, Tom E[redacted] answered the phone and was very upset about the cancel. Not only was I unable to explain my situation, but every time I tried to talk he interrupted. When I finally raised my voice to demand he stop interrupting me, he became rude, obnoxious and hung up on me. When I called back to file a complaint to a manager about the mean, rude service, he was the manager who took the call, so I was unable to do anything but hear his ranting further. He also made it very clear that I couldn't file a complaint against him since he was the boss. He was rude, unhelpful, uncaring, disrespectful and thinks that he can do this because he is in charge. Really poor that I had all of this trauma over a stupid $99 service call.

Review: Was having problems with my air conditioner had gillece come out first the lady told me that when they get the service person to come out that I would be getting an email with his name, picture and badge showing that he is a gillece employee that never happened. I had to call several times cause they first said it will be before noon then they called and said it will be a little after 12. He came here put bootys on his feet which was very nice. He went outside took the air conditioner top off put this thing on to see if it was low on freon. Then went in my house and tore the middle part where my coil is on my furnace telling me that I need a new coil and that my furnace was installed wrong that they needed to install it properly. Now my house was built in 1956 and the person that installed my furnace put it the same way the orginal furnace was. Guess it's been the wrong all those years yeah right. Then he said my coil was too small that I have a 14" coil and I needed a 17" coil. So now my air conditioner is only 6 years old why all those years it was the right size coil and worked fine all those years now its wrong. We agreed for them to fix the problem now to put the coil in was gonna be $3600 I got them down to $3100 signed the contract he left. The guy that installed me unit called me he actually had a stroke and couldn't do anything he was fuming and told me to cancel that right away and never have gillece do anything for me that they r known to do things like that. He sent another air conditioner person out here thats all it was the freon. I know if I leaked freon there is a leak somewhere but for right now it is working and we will deal with that leak at a later time. The point of this is that WE NEED TO GET THE WORD OUT ABOUT THIS COMPANY GILLECE THAT THEY STOP TAKING ADVANTAGE OF PEOPLE. THEY STILL TOOK OUT $1000 OUT OF MY ACCOUNT NOW I NEED TO WAIT FOR IT TO GET PUT BACK IN. CAN I TRUST THEM NO WAY. I JUST DON'T HAVE THAT KIND OF MONEY LAYING AROUND. THE Revdex.comS NEEDS TO GET THE WORD OUT THERE AND GET THIS COMPANY STOPPED BEFORE THEY DO THIS TO ALOT MORE PEOPLE.Desired Settlement: desired outcome: Is to be refunded my entire amount of $1000.00 back into my checking account.

Response:

Dear Revdex.com,Thank you for allowing us to respond to this claim. My name is [redacted] Operations manager for Gillece and I will be handling this customer resolution. I would like to point out that Mrs. [redacted] had called our company and canceled the transaction and we have processed a refund to her account. I have also also spoke to her on at least 2 occasions. I would like to point out that Mrs [redacted] states in her complaint that she does have a leak. A whole house air conditioning system is a closed system, and there for should never be low on Freon, further more R22 Freon is considered harmful according to the EPA. So just putting Freon into the system to allow it to leak into the atmosphere is not in anyone's best interest. She also makes the claim that our service technician informed her that her coil was 14 inch coil and she needed a 17 in coil. A 14" coil will fit in her furnace, however it is too small and too much air will pass by the coil, and the system will not be used to maximize cooling as untreated air will pass around the extra place and not thru the coil as designed. Finally we have met her desired outcome prior to her filing the claim with your organization. The customers biggest complaint that the refund didn't go back into her bank within 24 hours. We unfortunately we do not control the banking process, and therefore this was out of our control. thank you for you time and attention to this matter.

Review: On 10/1/13 we contacted Gillece to fix a clogged drain. The technician came out to the house and appeared to be in a hurry to get to the Pirate game. He was able to quickly snake out the drain and clear the drain. He had what appeared to be shrubbery clippings in his hand and informed us that there was roots in our pipeline causing the blockage. He did not utilize the camera that was advertised to be used for free. He inspected the outside pipelines and informed us that the tree in our neighbor's yard was the possible culprit. Less than 2 days later the pipe was backed up again and contacted Gillece again this time the technican was unsuccessful in clearing the pipe and informed us that he was unable to utilize the camera due to the blockage from what he said was "roots". He presented to us roots that were dry that supposedly came from a very clogged and wet area. The technician then informed us that we have several options to handle this job they wanted to do that ranged from nearly 5,000 to over 18,000 with payment options ranging from over 100 dollars to over 300 dollars montly. With any of these options we could be financed at that point and they stated that they would begin woking the following day. We refused and opted for getting another company to investigate the issue. The next morning we discovered that in the outside pipe were rocks filled in the piping and when removed the water quickly went down. There are still rocks in the drain which causes slow and blockage at times. It appears that the problem was created by the technician as this is a drain that is covered. They had a very costly solution for a problem that was created. A very crooked business practice which may have cause damage. A message to everyone: Do not do business with this company.Desired Settlement: Repair all damage while someone is there to watch and stay far away from our property afterwards.

Response:

It is impossible to pull anything including a root through water and it not get wet. It is amazing that after the rocks were removed the drain cleared. It is unfortunate that this is the position that you (Gileece) have chosen. If there is damage it will need repaired.

Dear Revdex.com, Thank you for allowing us to clear up this matter with the client. I had the opportunity to speak to the client today. Our technician is on site making a repair. Review: I had Gillece come out to do a routine air conditioning check up before summer. He did not do any cleaning or maintenance on it he just told me it needed replaced. He had me feel a couple of areas that he said were too hot because it was overheating and wasn't safe to use. He called someone and another man came out to give me an estimate that was over $7,000 and wanted me to sign that night. He said there were payment plans of $90 a month for 4-10 years. I asked which is it 4 or 10 and he didn't give a clear answer. I called my home warranty company and they sent someone out. He looked at it and said it was fine and just needed cleaning. He cleaned it and the spots that were hot before were no longer hot. He said a lot of people have had Gillece do this to them. The Gillece guys knew I was a single mother living there and tried to scam me like this.Desired Settlement: I'm glad I only paid $45. It would be nice to get it back but that is probably not likely to happen. All he did was look at it. I had to pay another $75 to have someone else come and clean it.

Thank you for allowing us to explain what took place for this customer. When our technician arrived he reviewed her system. His notes written on the contract suggest that the condenser coil was dirty, her evaporator coil was rusted and she was pulling a high amp draw. due to the age and number of issues he suggested that she replace the unit as it was 18 years old and a low efficient unit. We will happily refund the service fee of 45.00. We do feel this is more of a complaint with price of the new unit cost. As the home warranty company offered the same conclusion. Dirty Unit! How can we compete with a home warranty company and their pricing? The customer should have called them first. The goal of the warranty company is keep her unit running for as long as they can at the least amount of cost. This process is not always the best for a customer, as they have a older unit that is inefficient. We can provide her a higher efficiency unit that is covered for 5 years parts and labor.

Thank you for your time and attention

I wanted to add that there was nothing wrong with the air conditioner. I called because I wanted a yearly check up. It was working fine.

Clarification - We have started the process of a refund. Our process can take up to a few weeks for the refund to actually show to the CC. I apologize to the customer for any delays. We are currently processing her refund.

Review: I called to have service performed Febuary 28th for specials they advertised(10 light switches/pluges for $49 and $49 drain clog) I did not get serviced for the light switched until the next day and still have not recieved a call about the plumbing service. I called on March 2nd to ask if someone was still on call for my address and they finally sent someone around 1:00 pm. The rep serviced my bathroom sink and proceed with my tub. After awhile I began to here something in my kitchen(it was water coming from upstairs). The rep began to take pictures and told me the company has insurance for purposes like this and his manager would be in touch Monday about the issue. I didn't get a call from anyone Monday, so I called several times without being able to reach the manager. I continued to call Tuesday into Wednesday. I finally got in touch with the Manager, He advised me that before they begin service I signed a waiver stating any damage done during service Gillece would not be liable and that he is very confident that the service performed could not be caused due to the company's tool(the snake). He did not offer to send someone to look at the damage within the wall to determine what would be the final factor, but he did offer to send someone to fix the pipe for a fee. (what an insult!!!!)Desired Settlement: I would like my pipe replaced and my kitchen ceiling replaced(patched).

Business

Response:

In regards to this compliant. we informed the customer that we cannot be held liable for inaduquate pipes we cannot in the wall. A pipe that is in standard condition would not allow a supvervee handy electric eel to penetrate it. It also states in our terms and conditions, of which the customer has agreed to the following: "CUSTOMER agrees to hold CONTRACTOR and its employees harmless for any damage to and/or destruction of those items identified herein as a result of conventional repair efforts. CUSTOMER further recognizes and agrees that CONTRACTOR shall not be responsible for any damage to plaster, drywall, or other such surfaces and for paint or other surface coatings or finishes, which are affected or disturbed as a result of reasonable repair efforts by the CONTRACTOR." in closing we did refund the charge to the customer, this was done in good faith.

Review: Gillece installed afurnace and AC. last jan.22. I have had them back on complaints serveral times and each teck. that came said someone did some thing wrong or thet left some thing out. I am very frustrated and the furnace now is making a noice and they said at first that they didn't know what is causeing it but a wire was hocked up wrong and a reversr polarity was in the furnace and then I talked a [redacted] and he tried to tell me it was my circect breacked was the blaime. This Co. is a rip off and there people don't know what they are doing. They over price you with with there pressure sailsmenship.I had them remove a humidifired and airpuridier that wasn't satisfgactory and they gave me back 1 thousand dollars which I had to argue for. There warrinty says money back gurante for 2yrs. for unsatisfied performance. Im not satisfied.Desired Settlement: I would like them to stand up to there warranty and take every thing out and give me a full refund.

Business

Response:

Mrs. [redacted] has not reported any further compliants to us in regards to this problem. reverse polarity is a electrical problem, and not a problem with our equipment. We happily refunded her for the humidifer that she complained about. We did this as a good faith effort.

Response:

I want the manager [redacted] to come to my home, [redacted] to show us how a reverse polarity is in the furnace. No one has touched the electrical system in this house except Gillece's men. I have called him and the [redacted] the man who handles the problems at the Bridgeville address more than once today but no response back from them. Could be they are ignoring me?

Business

Response:

In response to this complaint. Per the customers request Mr. [redacted] was at the customer homes today. Found nothing wrong with the system. He did find a noise in the exisitng duct work. He sealed it to muffle the sound and when he left the cutomer was happy. [redacted] suggested that if the customer has any further issues they can contact him directly.

Thank You

Review: Our kitchen sink had a leak, it took them 2 times to fix it correctly. $$$The air conditioner kept throwing the breaker, the Heating/Air (H/A) tech said it wasn't his issue, it was Electrician's issue, he left, and the electrician came said it wasn't his job it was the H/A tech's job, he contacted Mr. [redacted] personally. The electric issue was so severe it could have burned the house down. According to the electrician it was not wired properly when it was installed, and was burning inside the box/wall. He said that the H/A guys need to be trained properly. We've had numerous issues with our furnace. Warranties are useless, as they always find something not covered...again $$$$$.Desired Settlement: They came to check out my furnace for the winter check-up. They said they would not do anything until I paid two (2) $90 check-up fees because I missed the one check up in August of 2013. I wasn't aware of the check up schedule as my husband usually dealt with those things, but he passed away August 1.I thought they would have some compassion for my situation, but they didn't care. They were here in the spring, but they didn't request the check up fee (or bill me for it). The excuse I got was the technician that was here in the spring was young and inexperienced, and didn't even sign the tab on the furnace that it was checked. After a half an hour of arguing, I finally paid $180, he checked the furnace out, but didn't do anything by changing the filter or vacuuming (my cousin, a heating and air specialist, in Utah said that would have been a part of the maintenance). I would like $90 back from these uncaring, unprofessional people. Thank you

Dear Revdex.com,Thank you for allowing me to respond to this subject. I wanted to point out that when the customer purchased her equipment, we informed her in writing that her warranty would only be valid with yearly maintenance. We took care of her and made sure that her problem was resolved, we apologize for any misunderstanding. For her troubles I will send her a gift card in the mail.Thank You Again

Review: I called Gillece on 3/4/14 @ 4:15pm to make an appointment for service. My call was answered by [redacted].I advised her I was having a problem. She asked me for details of the problem. I told her I was having a plumbing issue with my bathroom (2nd floor).Every time I flushed it, water was backing up into my tub. Asked how long its been happening and if I knew what caused it. I told her I was not sure and that a little over 5 years ago, Gillece also came out to service my main floor drain which is located in my garage and that I did not know if that was causing this problem this time, but again, my issue was that I could not flush my only working toilet and I am 7 months pregnant and also have a 1 1/2 yr old child. Initially I was told someone would be out the same day. Around 8:58pm, another worker called me to advise that due to their work load, I could not be seen until the next day.On 3/5, the first worker, [redacted], came out to try and open my floor drain with his snake. He told me he was only able to go down around 4 or 5 feet but was hitting dog hair and sludge.[redacted] asked me what was happening that I had them come out, I again said, every time I flush my upstairs toilet,it backs up into my tub. He asked me to go and flush the toilet while he was there watching the floor drain to see if anything happen.I did so, and nothing happened. He said nothing moved. He never asked to go look at the bathroom at all and he knew that was my issue. [redacted] then came out, he tried to snake the floor drain in garage again.I also told him my issue was with bathroom. He checked manhole for backup.Manhole was clear. He told me I would need sewer line cut and 4ft piece replaced to hopefully clear issue. This did not fix issue.[redacted] never went up to bathroom to check anything. Tried to get me financed for a 10,000 job to dig up floor drain, which with him never going upstairs, also may not have fixed problem.I was charged $615 for sewer pipe fix, that did not fix issue. [redacted] made offensive remarks abt home.Desired Settlement: Matter was fixed by augering the toilet (took 5 mins) which if either of the 2 workers would have looked at toilet and tub issue they would have seen. They were too busy trying to offer preventative issues for another problem which was not the problem I called in about. They may have gone off of past history with Gillece and myself but for this call, my issue was, I could not flush my toilet without tub backflow. I want my money refunded for getting a job done that was not needed at this time.

Response:

In regards to this complaint, I would like to show a couple of items and provide proof that Gillece services did what was needed per the customer. The customer had a back up in the garage, and her floor drain was in adequate to handle a eel. We offered to install a Clean out for her. She agreed. please review the pictures. We fulfilled the contract, and snaked the line. I have provided pictures to show a back up in the garage at which we address. We also as she stated augured the toilet at no charge today, a completely different problem. Gillece Services stands behind the original scope of work, as another plumber she talked to also informed her that it was a problem. We cannot be responsible for all the lines in her home. No refund offered at this time. As for remarks made about her home, none were made.

Thank you

Response:

My issue was with my toilet. Again, when I flushed starting on 3/4/14, water was backing up into the tub. Supervisor [redacted] only played a portion of the initial call when he spoke to my father on my behalf regarding this situation. I said it "may" also be a possible floor drain issue, but my problem was the inability to flush as I told [redacted] the 1st Gillece agent who came out- who then told me to go and flush the toilet while he was there to see what would happen at the site of the floor drain, in which nothing happened. Again, with [redacted] from Gillece being a "professional" he never offered to come and view my bathroom to see what was going on, where the problem actually was. When Gillece arrived, the protective drain cover was over the garage floor drain. Nothing was coming up! If this were the problem, when I flushed, water would move at this site. THAT NEVER HAPPENED! The bathroom is on the 2nd floor, floor drain in the garage. If the floor drain had caused the problem, my kitchen sink would have been affected, it was not. I was still able to use it. My basement laundry sink would have been affected. It was not. I was still able to use it also. After [redacted] the 1st agent ran his snake, he did pull up sludge and dog hair. It was only after then that anything coming from that drain appeared. [redacted] could not clear the drain, so then [redacted] was sent out. He also looked down the drain, I again reiterated my issue being with 2nd floor bathroom, he also NEVER offered to go upstairs to look at the problem. He kept saying they needed to cut my sewage line to clear the trap and if that did not rectify the problem, I would need to have the floor drain busted up and repaired, a job that [redacted] was continuously persistent on trying to get me financed for $10,000 to cover the job. He then said the cheapest they could do the needed work for would be around $5,300. I told [redacted], I could not make such a large financial choice without thinking about it and getting a 2nd opinion as anyone would do with such a large bill upon something. [redacted] told me the sewage line being cut would basically buy me some time (about 4-5 flushes he said)I made him aware that I am 7mos pregnant and it is very hard to no have use of your bathroom understandably. Even after telling me this pipe cut could buy me time, [redacted] never asked to see the bathroom and look at what was happening. From the door, both Gillece agents were stuck on the basement floor drain being the main issue when all of that work was preventative. That was NOT the reason for my call. My issue again was when I flushed, I had backup in my tub. If either agent was thorough instead of trying to meet a sales quota or getting a 10,000$ job out of me, had they have looked at the bathroom, they would have been able to tell that the toilet just needed the auger used because once the 3rd agent came today, [redacted]- it took him 5 minutes to use that tool, and it fixed my problem. Supervisor [redacted] repeated that I said my 2nd opinion plumber also said the drain "may" also be a problem, and that is correct, it very well may be, but that is NOT the problem I called in about, as I have continued to say. That may need addressed in the future, but I did not need to spend $615 on a job that did not fix my issue I am having right now, in the present. Still since they have left, the cover is back on the floor drain, and nothing has come up, AT ALL!!! When the supervisor [redacted] was speaking to my father about my garage, he did indeed mentioned the "dirty walls" in my garage, twice in that conversation which was unnecessary. Not that I need to explain anything to him or anyone, but I do have 2 large dogs and that is where they are kept when in doors. His reasons for the remarks were unprofessional and uncalled for, and that is why my father noted that he hoped the call WAS being monitored- so please go back and also play YOUR part of the take Mr. [redacted]!! I want refunded for the $615 job that was not warranted, not asked for, and that I was basically suckered into getting!!

Response:

Gillece has done what we were contracted to do. We offered a solution to a problem, we have provided pictures to show a problem in her Garage. the customer had multiple problems, of which we have remedied. We have done everything she has asked us for. She even admits that another plumber suggests that it "MAY BE A PROBLEM" We stand behind all we did for this customer. to show good faith effort we will offer a 10% refund to the customer, however we did the work she contracted us to do. Pictures tell 1000 words, and this home clearly had a backed up sewage in the garage.
