I have carried Life Insurance with Globe Life and Accident Insurance Company a number of years for my three grandchildren. I received my billing as usual and when I tried to login to pay, as usual, I could not sign in because the site was out of service. I waited several days and tried again. The site was still showing no service. At this point I tried to call customer service at the number on my statements. I received a non working number. At this point I tried to call every number listed for Globe Life and none of the numbers are in service. At this point I have no way to communicate with this company! It appears to be out of business?

*** doesn't say what day she attempted to log onto Globe Life's website to pay her premiums. However, there was an issue on 09/30/19, which would have prevented her from being able to contact Globe Life from 09/30/19 through end of business on 10/01/19.

On 09/30/19, two power surges to a local city grid caused issues with Globe Life's uninterruptible power supply and it failed. This cascaded, interrupting service to internal applications, phones, email, and websites. Because all office locations route through the main office for those services, systems in those locations also failed. Immediate efforts to restore all functions began and functionality was restored to all systems by 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, 10/01/19.

According to our records, Ms. was able to make a payment via Globe Life's eService Center on 10/02/19.

Globe Life has been taking my money via account withdrawal and over the past 2 months, have been unable to reach them on any of their phone numbers.
$26.40 withdrawing from my account and unable to reach the company. They have been recently brought by *** and fear they have closed their doors.

Contrary to statements in ***'s complaint, Globe Life And Accident Insurance Company was not "recently bought by Torchmark". Globe Life is one of several companies under the Torchmark Corporation umbrella and has been for quite some time.

Although Mondays are typically very heavy call days, there is no other reason why Ms. would be unable to reach Globe Life via telephone in the past two months, as our systems were working properly during that time period.

There was an issue on 09/30/19 - the date Ms. filed her complaint. On that date, two power surges to a local city grid caused issues with Globe Life's uninterruptible power supply and it failed. This cascaded, interrupting service to internal applications, phones, email, and websites. Because all office locations route through the main office for those services, systems in those locations also failed. Immediate efforts to restore all functions began and functionality was completed restored to all systems by 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, 10/01/19.

According to our records, Ms. did reach Globe Life via telephone on 10/09/19, at which time she cancelled her policy #006AXXXXX.

My husband passed away today. I found his glove life insurance number and have been calling all online and billing invoice numbers and they are disconnected. I need to file a claim and get a copy of his policy today for the corner. This is not something I expected to deal with today.

We are very sorry that Mrs. experienced a problem when she attempted to call Globe Life to report the death of her husband. We wish to convey our sincere condolences to Mrs. on the loss of her loved one.

We apologize for the inconvenience, but Globe Life suffered a complete network outage and all of our systems, including telephones, were down on 9/30/19. The network systems and telephones have now been restored and are working,

If Ms. will provide the name and birthdate of her husband or his policy number, we will send claim forms to her to begin the process of her claim. We attempted to locate the policy using the information Mrs. provided, but without his name or the policy number we were unable to locate a policy.

As soon as we receive this information we will be able to locate the policy in question and begin the process for Mrs.. Should you have any questions, please contact us directly.

I've been trying to cancel my policies and get a refund and this company is withholding my money claiming I have to send in a handwritten letter.
Like many people say "If I could give it no stars I would" well, that's definitely true in my case. So, I've had my policies for two years now and ever since I've had these policies I've paid for them up to 6 months at a time. In July 2019 I had to pay for another 6 months and I had requested to do so, but I made a mistake and did it twice because of my delightful Comcast internet.

Anyway, I had been checking my account making sure Globe Life gets their payment and finally they had gotten it. A couple of weeks later I checked my account and found a $22 return charge on my savings account. I called Globe Life to see what was going on and apparently, I had charged my card twice, but since there was no money in my account my bank placed a return charge on my account due to insufficient funds.

Further, while on the phone I told Globe Life I did not want to pay for 12 months if that were the case I would've done it from the beginning. Globe Life acted as if they couldn't help me, there was so much lack of communication that I decided I no longer wanted to deal with an incompetent company such as them. So, I called in and asked if I could cancel my policy and get the $125 I had paid for my policies. These people led me on by telling me to email [email protected]. So, I sent an email asking if I cancel my policy would I get my $125 back, I sent this message on August 14, 2019, and two days later a Landon messaged me asking for the name of the policies, policy no., phone number, and address on file.

Immediately I sent the information needed back to "Landon" and I've never received an email or phone call about the matter ever since then. I'd waited from August 16, 2019 - September 25, 2019, until I decided to give them a call and the woman on the phone stated I would need to send in a handwritten letter explaining why I would like to cancel my policies and why I should get a refund. Are these people kidding me? This company is the absolute worse we live in 2019 why are we writing handwritten letters that are going to take possibly 5 - 10 business days for them to receive it and a couple of days for them to review the letter and send their decision back to me.I'm so irritated and disgusted with this company I'm currently looking for a better life insurance company and I guarantee you I will find a company way better than this. To conclude, I just want my $125 back and we can carry on.

I'd just like to cancel my policies and receive my $125.61. I refuse to stay with a company that doesn't work for you but against you. Whether if its the company as a whole or their employees.

I just attempted to get life insurance with these crooks. I get my policy in the mail and my policy goes from 38.00/month to in excess of $479.00/month depending on how long I live. So the $38.00/month was a lie and a scam. I am calling an attorney to start a law suite for fraud. Now I have tried calling them to terminate the policy and how convenient, I don't get an answer no matter how many different numbers I call. SCAM!!!

While several factors, including age, do determine the premiums on life insurance, your credit rating is not one of them. After I cancelled my policy, your company went on to charge my account. I called and your rep told me I would have to request in writing to get my money back. That's stealing!! I don't have an account with you, I cancelled my policy, you were no longer authorized to debit my account and you did anyways. I sent the written request to have my funds returned and I have not heard back from your company. I'm filing fraud charges with my bank.

I want to cancel my Whole Life Insurance Policy with Globe Life and get my check for the money that I have put into the policy since 2009.
Globe Life is giving me the run around. I want to cancel my whole life insurance policy. They are giving me the run around. I looked at there reviews from other policy holders and I am now going through the same issues. This company is none ethical or professional.

Policy #001RXXXXX, insuring the life of ***, is a juvenile whole life policy issued 10/01/2009 in the amount of $10,000.00 and includes a $5,000.00 whole life rider. *** is the policy owner.

On 01/25/2019, Globe Life received a letter from Nationwide Life Insurance Company indicating Mr. may want to replace his Globe Life policy. Per procedure, Globe Life wrote Mr., on 01/28/2019, asking him to notify a Globe Life representative or request cancellation of the policy in writing, if he no longer wanted the coverage. Globe Life had also previously sent Mr. a surrender request form on 01/21/2019. Copies of Globe Life's letter and the surrender request form are enclosed for your reference.

Globe Life did not hear back from Mr. until 09/17/2019, when he called to request cancellation of the policy. Mr. also made a one-time premium payment in the amount of $48.12 on that same date. Per procedure, the premium payment must be refunded before the policy can be surrendered for its cash value.

The premium cannot be refunded until 10/07/2019, to ensure that it has cleared Mr. bank. Once the premium is refunded, our Living Benefits Unit will surrender the policy and issue Mr. a check for the $527.34 cash value.

In his complaint, Mr. has requested a refund of all premiums paid for this policy since it was issued in 2009. However, it is Globe Life's position that those premiums have been earned by the Company and no refund is due. If a claim had arisen while this policy was in force and incontestable, Globe Life would have been obligated to pay the $15,000.00 death benefit to Mr. designated beneficiaries.

This company is just not providing facts. It states that I am a juvenile. I'am 39 years old. In there response to this complaint Globe Life is not telling the truth. I never received any surrender form as they said they sent it to me. I have called at least three times to cancel my policy. Every time that I called I would be provided with different stories. One person said that they don't even see that I put in this request to cancel. As far as my $48 payment. I made the payment before I made the decision to cancel the policy. As far as Nationwide Insurance. Last week is when I began that life insurance policy. The date of January is a complete lie. Bottom line is I just want my $527.34 check. I would never recommend this company and I have had this policy since 2009. That tells you a lot.

Attached is a copy of Globe Life's check #XXXXXXX in the amount of $506.00, representing the full cash surrender value of policy #001RXXXXX. The check is being sent to Mr. today via regular mail. We ask that Mr. please allow at least 10 BUSINESS days to receive the check, as our mail is sorted at an off-site facility before being delivered to the US Postal Service for mailing.

Upon further review of this matter, it appears there was an error in the cash value amount quoted in Globe Life's 10/01/19 response. Please allow me to explain further.

The cash value for this policy increases every time a premium payment is received and is based on the paid-to date of the policy. At the time of Globe Life's 10/01/19 response, this policy was paid to 11/01/19 and the cash value was $527.34. However, when the $48.12 premium was refunded to Mr. on 10/07/19, it backed the paid-to date of the policy to 05/01/19, which reduced the cash value to $509.00.

Please extend my sincerest apologies to Mr. for this oversight and any confusion or inconvenience it may have caused.

Have called company many times and received no viable email address, mailing address, nor fax number for submitting the death certificate for my mother. All attempts have come back with failure notices. Suggest fraudulent activity by company. Even the chat line redirects back to useless contact page.

Desired Outcome

Provide legitimate email address or fax number or mailing address to submit death certificate. If this is not done than wish to file a claim of fraud against this company.

Policy #00GXXXXXX, insuring the life of *** G. LeBot, is a term life policy issued 08/13/2001 in the amount of $10,000.00 and includes a $5,000.00 term life rider. *** G. *** is the beneficiary of this policy.

*** LeBot passed away 09/08/2019. Her death was reported by *** via telephone on 09/16/2019. Contrary to allegations in Ms. complaint, the customer service representative with whom she spoke on 09/16/2019 did provide a fax number for Ms. to submit her claim.

The claim was received from Ms. via email on 09/18/2019. A check (#XXXXXX) in the amount of $15,006.58 was issued to Ms. on 09/20/2019. The amount paid represents the $10,000.00 base policy and the $5,000.00 rider, plus $6.58 interest.

It is Globe Life's position that this claim has been handled properly and in a timely manner. The claim was paid two business days after receipt of proof of loss.

This has been resolved. Thank you for your assistance.

I applied myself and 3 grandchildren. I was asked health questions about my three grandchildren foe 4 weeks, calling one time at 9 pm while I was in bed. A week later I received 3 policies for each Grandchild, but no policy for me. I called globe for 2 weeks was told every time to call next or I would hear something next week. Yesterday I received mail for Globe I thought it was my Policy, but it was a letter telling I was no longer a member and to reapply. That's crazy!!!! At this point I don't know if I want to hold interest in Globe. Its sad how some companies try take advantage of consumers. I guess they just wanted my Grandchildren, WHY WOULD I DROP MY POLICY AND NOT MY GCHILDREN, I WANT TO PAY AT ONE COMPANY NOT MULTIPLE. I'm very unhappy with Globe.

It is now 2019; I have gotten married and moved, so my last name is NOT *** anymore. They did not stop mailings, instead they forwarded mailings to my new address. I have been trying for 9 months to stop their mailing to my new address.8/2019 I spoke with Marisa at Mckinney Office, and Elijah *** at XXX-XXX-XXXX, at their corp. office. I want Globe life to STOP ALL CONTACT with me , *** at *** My former address was in *** I have received 2 mailings since August.

I have I been requesting the removal of my name and address since January 2019. I have been told that there is a 90 response time, many times and still it NEVER ENDS even when 90 days pass. I need a more active and immediate response or I want payment for harrassement.

In her follow-up correspondence, Ms. indicates that she has been requesting the removal of her name from the mailing list since January 2019 but continues to receive insurance offers from Globe Life. Ms. stated in her initial complaint that she had moved and changed her name due to marriage. Our Marketing Department has attempted to find the mailings that are going out to Ms. at her Riverdale address but they need to know Ms. previous mailing address in College Park, GA and what her last name is now. We need her last name and her previous address in order to permanently stop the mailings. As soon as Ms. provides this information, we will have the Marketing Department add this information to the permanent Do Not Mail List and the mailings will be stopped. Again, we apologize for this inconvenience, but with this additional information she will not receive any further mailings.

Not real happy with Globe. I remember when I signed up that I was told that my monthly payment would stay the same. When it was 10 dollars more this month, I called to ask why. The woman I talked to had a very monotone voice and wasn't rude but wasn't friendly either and just bluntly told me that when you reach the age of 66, the monthly payment goes up. I guess I missed that information when I signed up. Not real happy.

I applied for a $10,000. Policy and was given only $5,000 with no explanation. The CSR that called me evidently didn't correctly listen to my answers. I'm being charged for a $10,000 and only getting $5,000!!! I called Globe only to be told I have to write a letter to Underwriting that there was nothing they can do. Really Globe?!? They are counting on no one writing. They didn't waste a minute calling me and asking more questions than allowed but the customer can't call them back. Looking for new insurance. I don't recommend Globe Life.
