Globe doesn't want to honor their contract. I want 2 reinstate my old policy.
I've been insured with Globe Life for years and been having problems a long time. I got 3 months behind in my payment and tried to pay the balance, but was told I couldn't pay it I had to start a whole new policy. Keep in mind the policy says if it lapses I have up to 5yrs to reinstate it. I was only 3mons behind and was told I couldn't reinstate my policy. My policy was for $50,000+ $25,000 accidental. Since I was told I had 2 start a new policy I wanted 2 up my policy to $75,000. They sent me an email saying I was approved, but when I got my policy it says they couldn't approve me 4 what I asked 4, they could only approve me $5,000. I want 2 reinstate my old policy of $50,000+$25,000 accidental or they can refund me my money back that I put into this policy.

I am seeking either reinstating my old policy or a refund of the money I put into this policy.

They're saying they made the decision on the answers I gave. I gave the same answers when I Initially started my insurance and was able to get $50,000, now they're saying I can only get $5,000. It don't add up.

Ms. M was asked to submit her premium payment to our Legal Department in order to ensure that the policy is reinstated without proof of insurability, which was offered in an effort to resolve her complaint. In these cases, the policyholder will typically send a check or money order. However, Ms. M wanted to make her payment with a credit/debit card.

Because I personally don't have the ability to process a premium payment, I asked our Customer Service Department to reach out to Ms. M to take her payment via telephone. A payment of $299.82 (8 months) was required to reinstate the policy. However, Customer Service wasn't able to process an 8-month premium because payments via telephone can only be processed in monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, or annual modes. This is another reason Ms. M was asked to submit the payment through our Legal Department.

In a further effort to resolve this matter, Globe Life advanced the policy two months, at no cost to Ms. M, and then processed her 6-month payment via telephone on 09/19/19. The policy was reinstated on that date and is now paid to 10/23/19.

Reading through these comments, it appears I'm another unsatisfied customer that is deciding to take my business elsewhere. For 4 to 5 months Globe made UNAUTHORIZED deductions from an account that I do not manage, simply because I know exactly what comes of the account. Once discovered, I reached out to Globe. Spoke to 4-5 different customer service reps that dropped the ball every single time. NOT ONCE did I get a call from upper management to explain to me HOW did MY BANK INFORMATION get tied to TWO other policies THAT I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR!! Finally got an email chain going, but still NO CALL FOR UPPER MANAGMENT!! I have sent PROOF that my bank account was drafted for the policy that I OWN and PROOF that my account is also being drafted for 2 more accounts that I DO NOT OWN!!! I HAVE YET TO RECEIVE MY MONEY BACK!! No one wants to take accountability for the *** up and NO ONE SOUNDS A BIT CONCERNED BECAUSE IT'S NOT THEIR MONEY OR BANK INFORMATION THAT HAS BEEN COMPROMISED!!! I would not recommend doing business with them...just money hungry grabbers. I have still not gotten an explanation how my account was tied to 2 other policies.
GLOBE DO BETTER!!! Take care of your CUSTOMERS!!!!!! Answer the phones!!!! I WANT MY MONEY!!!!!!

Globe I don't believe a thing you say!!! When I requested to be contacted DIRECTLY BY PHONE, NO ONE HAS CALLED AND STILL HASN'T!!! I've been waiting on that contact since JUNE 19th when 1st PHONE CONTACT WAS MADE, then again on JUNE 27th!!! The ball was seriously dropped!!! 10 days is 2 MONTHS to you all???? The response looks good here but I'm not convinced you guys are serious about making this WRONG A RIGHT!!!

In early June I called company to cash in/surrender a life insurance policy which is in my name (***) at *** XXXXX. On March 29, 2019 I requested a change of phone number and faxed in my Identification to prove that I am the person requesting the change ( I have the fax and letter I returned to them). On June 25, I received two letter from R. ***, policy service department and I quote, "your loan/surrender request has been processed, however the check is being held because the mailing address was CHANGED within 90 days of your request, please return this letter confirming your address". I requested a phone number change, they sent the letter to me at my correct address, however I sent the information that was asked of me via fax again have letter and fax to prove that was done on July 5, 2019. Now I have been calling just about everyday asking about the status of the check and every time I get the standard, "the check was mailed to your address (which they said earlier that they didn't have) on June 17, 2019. One July 18th, I called and got the standard check in the mail and I asked them to put a stop payment on the check. I called again on July 28, 2019 and told that the status of the check is that it was mailed to you on June 17th'?? Every time I ask to speak with a supervisor, I am told that they are all busy, leave my information but only received a call back once and have never heard from that supervisor again,I sent them a letter explaining that I am a Vietnam Veteran with Post Traumatic Stress and this is about to send me off the edge because my home is in jeopardy because this check is out in the air somewhere and I can not get a straight answer as to what is goin on with my money that I need Now. This have been going on for over two months now, please help me to get what is mine

6/2019 Omaah and Gloria of the customer srv dpt cancelled my daughter's policy 00CXXXXXX that I opened up for her 40 years ago when she was a baby
June 25, 2019 after speaking to reps Omaah and Gloria I received a new policy for my daughter Myia Holmes that I did not request, the new policy cancelled her original policy; these 2 customer service reps created a new policy for $5,000.00 and the original was cancelled; we found it difficult to speak the reps (Omaah and Gloria) because they did not have a good command of the English language; all we wanted was a copy of the original policy of $15,000.00, I wrote to the customer service via email and reiterated that we only want a copy of the original policy and not to have the original policy changed and they did just the opposite; I want someone to help us we are upset

Contrary to statements in ***'s complaint, policy #00CXXXXXX was NOT cancelled. The policy is currently in force and paid to 09/25/19.

Myia Holmes is the owner of policy #00CXXXXXX. Without Ms. Holmes' authorization, Globe Life cannot provide Ms. with any additional information regarding the policy.

During the 06/19/19 telephone call, Ms. was advised that no information could be provided to her because she was not the policy owner. Ms. Holmes did eventually join the telephone call and both ladies were speaking at the same time, making it difficult for the customer service representative (Omaaha) to understand what they were trying to accomplish. A second customer service representative (Gloria) did join the call in an attempt to assist. Gloria advised Ms. and Ms. Holmes that if they continued to raise their voices and use inappropriate language, the call would be disconnected. The call was disconnected, but we are unable to determine if it was by Globe Life or the callers.

Ms. also alleges in her complaint that a new policy was issued on the life of Myia Holmes, but I was unable to locate any other policies in our records.

I do not accept because there is a clause in the policy about reinstatement. Also, the premiums were paid by my mother which I have attached a money order to this complaint. She paid the premiums and Globe accepted the payment and they cashed the money order that was dated 7/6/2019

Also, they never mentioned this at all to me or my family members that they had a payment from my mother.
When I discovered her money and that she had paid and they cashed it they reinstated the policy. She died after that, and since then they have now sent me a refund check dated 8.5.2019 for the premiums they cash and accepted back in July. Globe life is trying not to pay the claim, and its okay. I am going public with this, I have contacted the news and sent the California department of insurance regarding this. Last resort is to have my wrongful death attorney sue Globe.

I don't want to accept because my mother paid for her policy and I have attached copy of her payments. And globe life sent me a refund check for her last payment that they said they never received. And I don't want to close the case until the issue is resolved with her policy being paid.

So back in June of this year I called to borrow the cash value of my policy. Every time I call they state they can't speak with me because I'm not the owner of the policy. I pay for the policy, my email is the one on file, my phone number is the one on file, and my address is the one on file. If when I call I have to give my name and birthdate and it states I'm the insured and not the owner than why would you even continue speaking with me and not just say I see you're not the owner unfortunately we can't help you unless you have the owner here as well to speak to us? Instead they ask how they can help me and then state well we can't give you any of the info you're looking for without the owner. EVEN THOUGH I AM THE ONE WHOES INFORMATION IS ON FILE AND PAY FOR THE POLICY TO STAY OPEN. Okay. So some representatives like to say that it's because of HIPPA. Well as far as I know HIPPA only pertains to medical information. Also on their website it states:
"This Notice applies to the designated healthcare components of Globe Life Insurance Company of New York that use and disclose your medical information to provide medical care benefits to you under health insurance policies. We use the terms health and healthcare in this Notice to refer to the medical care benefits we provide to you. This Notice DOES NOT apply to the information that our non-healthcare components maintain about you as an issuer of LIFE, disability, accident, indemnity, or any other non-health insurance policy."
Notice I've capitalized "does not" and "life" to show that their statement about HIPPA literally doesn't apply to the life insurance part of their company. So why is it when I call and state to one of your supervisors that I've spoken to at least 5 different representatives that will gladly give me the information I'm looking for without needing permission from the owner and that HIPPA only applies to medical info and that whatever information given out isn't going to hurt the insured because I AM THE INSURED and could you show me via email or read off where it states under HIPPA you're not allowed to disclose any information to me he says "I don't have to tell you anything"
Bottom line is I was just trying to get information about a check I've been trying to receive to pay my rent which is now way past due and pending eviction that supposedly a representative told the owner last week wouldn't be processed for another 10 DAYS because of the address change.....I PERSONALLY CHANGED THE ADDRESS MONTHS AGO WAY BEFORE WE CALLED TO HAVE A LOAN TAKEN OUT. I'm honestly disgusted with the service I've received.

In order for us to be able to review this matter properly we will need either the name and date of birth of the insured person on the policy or the policy number. A representative from Globe Life will be contacting you via the email address you have provided within the next ten business days to obtain this information so that we can investigate the problem and provide you with a detailed response.

My husband filed an application with Globe Life Insurance for two(2) policies.However, when he received all the information regarding this policy, he decided it was not in his best interest and cancelled the policy. Policy#0021N7864/***. The policy was cancelled on 5/29/2019. However according to Globe Life, the policy was not cancelled entirely without my signature. (I was away at the time). This was my husbands policy and he signed for it and made the payment.Globe Life chose to confiscate the money taken from his account stating: you have had this protection in force for sometime and all past premiums paid are considered earned by the Company. As I stated, the policy ended 5/29/2019!

Policy #0021N7864, insuring the life of *** L. ***, was cancelled 05/02/19 at the request of the policy owner, ***. Contrary to statements in her complaint, Mrs.' signature was not required to cancel the coverage, as she isn't the policy owner.

At the time the policy was cancelled, it was paid in advance to 05/19/19. Globe Life does not prorate premiums, thus there was no refund due at the time the policy was cancelled. All other premiums paid for this policy are considered earned by the Company and no refund is due, as stated in the Company's June 18, 2019 letter to Mr., a copy of which is enclosed for your reference.

Globe Life And Accident Insurance Company some how got ahold of my information. I don't know if they bought it or stole it. They then proceeded to Bill me for a policy that I have never signed up for. I contacted the company and after verifying some of my personal information admitted that they had different information. Which they should because I have never done business with them. I asked them to take me out of their system since the error is there's. They are refusing to do that if I don't jump through all these hoops that the have in place for their customers. I am not nor have I ever been their customer. They obtained my information illegally and are attempting to extort money from me for a policy I never authorized. I am demanding to be taken out of their data base and stop being contacted or billed for services I have never authorized.I am also requesting that they contact the Credit Bureau and inform them that I am not the person that they have a policy with. So it does not effect my credit negatively.

Globe Life has neither bought nor sold any information about *** M. ***, nor is the Company trying to "extort" money from him. The premium notice that Mr. received simply belongs to a Globe Life customer with the same name. Please allow me to explain further.

The premium notice was sent to Mr. address due to an address change that occurred on June 5, 2019. The notice was initially mailed to the address on record, but was returned by the US Postal Service as undeliverable, with no forwarding address. After additional investigation, it appears that the clerk who processed the address change did not verify certain information before making the change.

Please extend our sincerest apologies to Mr. for this inadvertent oversight and any confusion or inconvenience it has caused. We have corrected our records and removed Mr. address from the policy.

In Nov. 2018, I purchased 3 policies for our family. Unfortunately, in March 2019, my brother was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and passed away in April. He had not been sick, had not been to a doctor until March, but with it being less than 2 years from start date of the policy- they had to investigate. It's now July, still no answers-- "claim pending", because they haven't gotten records from the hospital. I happen to work at the hospital in question and asked about this.. they sent the requested forms immediately. Globe Life is not being truthful about the paperwork and seems like they are dragging their feet on paying what is due in this tragic event.

My aunt took out a policy from Globe life in October 2017. She went to Haiti in August and in October she got hit by a truck and they stole purse with every . Now the insurance company refused to talk to me or paying the police. The last time I called the ins company I spoke to Mr. Dawn D ***, all he told me was to write a letter telling him what happened to my aunt documents after her death in Haiti, which I did. According to Ms. friend ***, my aunt left the Country sometimes in August 2018, to go finalized the property sale papers in Port-Au-Prince Haiti in other to go build her dream home in ***. However; my aunt took out this policy in October 2017. In fact, sometimes in December 2017, she called and asked one of your representatives. Quote: per Ms.. If I'm not here in the U.S for a couple months, *** my policy interfere in any kind of way? That was a question asked by the late Ms. and your representative answered was NO. Longest your premium is being pay and have a U.S address you are fine. *** friend and I witness the entire conversation. Now go back to your company recordings, I am sure there is one. Also the whole conversation was being recorder on Ms. phone. Thank God galaxy. I know it is a contestable policy, which is completely fine by me. But, it was okay to collects Ms. monthly premiums and now it is a problem to corporates on her behalf. Am I Right or wrong? Anyway, I have her tax returns for 2016 and 2017, bank statement for July 2018, checks, bank card, children and families letters dated November 2017 as proof she was in the U.S prior leaving to Haiti in 2018. I also went to the Embassy of Miami, the U.S Visa center in Miami and Social Security Administration there's nothing they can do about it, because she was not a U.S citizen, All 3 bureau told me the death certificate from Haiti is all I need and I cannot retrieves her passport *** and I don't owns any rights to have such information and her documents anyway. This lady was killed by truck and robbed at the same time with everything she had in her pulse, including all her documents. I am support to create a fake her to get her documents? Where am I going to get it? Haiti is so bad I don't even know my way around the Country and always protesting. I have 3 beautiful children who need their mother. You think I'm going there to get kill for petty cash and leave my poor children's alone? Think again. I was supposed to go there on Feb 5th 2018 with the protesting. Nope I'm not going there. What kind of company is this? What about if we were waiting on your company to buried her what would've happen to her than? Put her in the trash like she was a crack head living on the street? This is really hurtful. I don't care for the money, it's the fact how your company never shows any type of remorse toward her death. However: I am going to submit this to Revdex.com. Also I'm going to closeout these policies from your company that was taking out by Ms. for the children's. I need you help with these company please.Thank you, very much.

Attached is a copy of Globe Life's 06/24/19 response to a complaint *** B. *** filed with the Florida Department of Financial Services regarding policy #009TXXXXX insuring Jeanine ***.
Dawn D. *** is the Senior Vice President of Policy Benefits and it is highly unlikely that Ms. spoke directly with Ms. regarding the above policy. Ms. has been speaking with Globe Life's customer service representatives. Once the complaint was received from the Florida Department of Financial Services, our Legal Department became involved and Customer Service is unable to discuss the claim with Ms.. That's why she is being told to send her request for information in writing.
In her complaint, Ms. says Ms. contacted Globe Life via telephone in December 2017 and allegedly asked one of our customer service representatives if her being out of the United States for a couple months would interfere with her policy "in any kind of way". Per Ms., who allegedly witnessed the call, the customer representative said, "No."
I asked our Customer Service Department to search for our records for phone calls in the month of December 2017 from the telephone number on file, but there were none. The only activity on this policy in December 2017 was a premium payment made by an external user online on 12/19/17.
Ms. being outside the United States for "a couple months" doesn't actually affect her policy as long as the premiums are paid when due. However, that isn't the issue. The issue, in this case, is verifying that Ms. was actually living in the United States at the time of application, as Globe Life does not insure persons living outside the Unites States.

I spoke to Mr. once and advised me writing a letter, which I did. However, they have all my aunty proofs that she was not outside the US. The response is inaccurate. My aunt they called sometime in 2017 to asked them and she left to Haiti to sale her property

I was supposed to received a replacement refund check for cancelled policy from 5/3 and reissue check sent priority mail and still not received
I cancelled tori logan policy for 10K 2 months ago. Supposedly check was mailed on 5/3 along with Danielle *** and Elijah *** (I received both these checks on 5/17), I never received Tori Logan check,(Policy# 00-2TXXXXX Therefore, Stop Payment was issued on Tori *** and reissued check last week and sent Priority Mail, AS OF TODAY, I STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED CHECK.I asked for a tracking # from Cherry Simpson (X3265), whom have been great, BUT, I need my check & tracking# and when this check was mailed. ITS been over 2 months and NO CHECK that have been promised to me. Supervisors do not follow up and I am very dissatisfied with service and lack of communication from MGMT to correct this problem. I just want my refund check that have been promised to me and bo one seems to be able to send me tracking# to locateif check was even mailed again.

I have been trying to get the surrender value on a policy on my son since Feb 26, 2019. I have been passed around to different people who apparently don't know how to make the surrender happen. I have now passed this initiative on to my son who is the owner of the policy because he is over 21. It appears to me that Globe Life simply does not want to pay the surrender value. I am thoroughly disgusted.

Company is good about paying claims in a timely manner. However, it's incredibly difficult to connect with a customer service representative if you need to make policy changes (I've been trying for 9 months to cancel; been told the policy was terminated, yet they STILL take premiums out of my checking account). After at least a half dozen phone calls, I think I've finally found a rep who is helpful enough to do something about it.

The ladies that I spoke with, were pleasant, cordial, and helpful. It was not their fault, but a nearly 30 minute wait is something I feel is unacceptable for any business. Maybe it was because it was Monday, but it was simply a long wait.

Although the cash out values were no where what I thought they would be based on information I apperently misunderstood years ago. The staff that I have spoken with over the last several months have been phenomenally professional. These women all took time with me and made sure that I had no other questions before we hung up.
