I have been paying on my life insurance policy with Globe Life through my bank's Bill Pay service(Electronic transfer) for years. Earlier this year, I saw that my policy premium had increased so I made two separate payments on my policy after speaking with one of Globe Life's agents. Both payments were accepted by Globe Life. I increased my Bill Pay amount through my bank and my next payment went through Globe Life's accounting. My bank had two payments scheduled for the month so I canceled one of the payments. I guess this was the payment from the increased Bill Pay.I checked my bank account earlier this month, and I saw that the amount paid to Globe Life for my life insurance reflected the old amount due, so I paid the remaining amount through Bill Pay (Electronic transfer). These payments were made many days before my premium was due.This is where my major complaint begins: Online and over the phone, Globe Life does not show that my premium for June was ever received. I have talked to agents at the company several times and only got attitudes from agents about my payments. I FAXED copies of my bank statements to Globe Life at XXX-XXX-XXXX showing that I paid my premium for June 2019. I also had my bank FAX statements showing that my premium had been sent to Globe Life, yet my payments are not reflected on my account.I called Globe Life again today, June 24, 2019, at XXX-XXX-XXXX and talked with an agent. She told me that she saw that I made two separate payments on my account but both payments were rejected because they were not for the full monthly amount owed (One full payment instead of two payments added together totaling the amount due). The problem is Globe Life DID NOT RETURN MY MONEY!! IF THE PAYMENTS WERE REJECTED, WHERE IS MY MONEY? I paid my premium again today (the full monthly amount in one payment) yet my payment does not appear on my account. It will take up to seven days for today's payment to be credited to my account thereby making my payment late.

Desired Outcome

Other (requires explanation) Credit my account for the three payments that I have paid on my policy or return the first two payments that the agent said were rejected to my bank account.

I do not accept the response for Globe Life. I still did not receive a refund for the extra $20.49 that I paid on my policy. The money was not returned to my bank account (according to an agent of Globe Life Insurance, "Globe Life do not have your bank account information stored in our system")so how did Globe Life refund my money? I did not receive a check from the company. The additional amount that I paid on my policy was not credited to my policy either so where is my money?

How was my money returned? The letter that Globe Life sent to me does not state how my money was returned to me because my money was not returned or applied to my policy. I had my bank check my account for the supposed returned transactions but none were found. My bank account only shows the payments I made to Globe Life, not the refunds the Globe Life claims they sent back to me because the payments were rejected.

I called Globe Life after receiving the letter dated 6/25/2019 to discuss how my money was refunded to me and that is when I was told that they do not have my bank information stored in Globe Life's accounting system. I was then transferred to a supervisor that told me that she could not discuss my account with me because I had a complaint against the company.

I live on a fixed income and cannot afford to have someone take advantage of me by keeping my money. If Globe Life rejected my payments, where is my money? How did they return my money if they do not have my bank account information stored in their records and did not mail a check to me?

The last paragraph on the first page of Globe Life's 07/08/19 letter to *** clearly states: "According to our Accounting Department, both refund checks #XXXXXX and #XXXXXX were still outstanding as of July 3, 2019. Therefore, I have asked Premium Accounting to stop payment on the checks and issue Ms. a new check for $20.49. I will forward the new check to you immediately upon receipt".

I received the new check (#XXXXXX) in the amount of $20.49 on 07/15/19 and mailed it to Ms. on that same date. Copies of Globe Life's 07/15/19 letter to Ms. and the refund check are enclosed for your reference.

I received the refund check.

I have tried several times to cancel my life insurance policy.

I tried to cancel my life insurance and can't seem to get a response. The contant info given to me comes from United America X(XXX)XXX-XXXX and it rings and no one answer doesnt have a voicemail. Call United America again and was transfered to globelife cancellation dept gave policy info # ***XXXXX and was transferred call dropped. I seem to be getting the run around I did fax letter to the company requesting a cancellation and rfund.

On 06/18/19, Globe Life received a fax from *** asking that his policy #003CXXXXX be cancelled and also requesting a phone call. A copy of this fax is enclosed.

On 06/19/19, a Globe Life representative attempted to contact Mr. via telephone and left a voice mail message asking him to call back to confirm cancellation. According to our records, Mr. called back on 06/20/19 confirming he wanted to cancel the policy. Per procedure, Mr. was transferred to our Retention Unit. However, it does not appear that Mr. ever spoke with anyone in Retention.

Two Revdex.com complaints were received on 06/25/19 (#XXXXXXXX and #XXXXXXXX). The policy was cancelled on 06/27/19. A check (#XXXXXX) in the amount of $22.91, representing refund of the last premium applied to this policy, was issued to Mr. on 07/02/19. The check was mailed to Mr. on 07/05/19. A copy of the check is enclosed.

Globe Life's toll-free number is X-XXX-XXX-XXXX. Our phone calls are not out-sourced to Hong Kong or any other country. The Company's call center is located in McKinney, Texas, which is also the locating of Globe Life's sister company, United American Life Insurance Company.

In both of his complaints, Mr. has asked for a refund of the premiums paid. It is Globe Life's position, however, that the premiums paid for this policy have been earned by the Company and no refund is due. When Globe Life accepts the premium, the risk is attached. Our obligation is to pay the face amount of the policy if the death occurs at any time during the premium paying period. The only time the premium is refunded is when it is specifically stated in the contract of insurance or if there is a statutory provision for the premium to be refunded. In this case, neither one of these apply.

My policy was made online without any person/agent explaining the policy at all. Therefore I feel the company was deceptive in it practices. I 'can't believe I have had this policy for years and I have no refund. I have told my family and friends to please check their check their policy in this case cheaper isn't always better.

Contrary to statements in Mr. 07/09/19 rebuttal, this policy was not applied for via the internet. Mr. submitted a direct mail application for insurance coverage dated 11/14/10. A copy of this application is attached for your reference. Included with this application was an advertising packet which featured a description of the policy offered. An example of this packet is attached. The page with the policy description has been enlarged for purposes of readability.

The policy issued to Mr. also contained a 30-day "free look" period during which time he could have cancelled the coverage, if it wasn't what he wanted, and received a full refund of the premiums paid. The welcome letter attached to Mr. policy included the telephone number for Globe Life's Customer Service Department, which Mr. could have called if he had any questions about the policy when it was received.

Globe Life has provided the life insurance protection form which Mr. contracted, from the date the date it was issued to the date of cancellation. The premiums paid have been earned by the Company and no refund is due.

This is unacceptable to me I have had the policy for years and I'm to receive $23. Is this how it works no agent to explain what your purchasing Sounds shady to me very deceptive and misleading I would like my money back all of it . This is a scam.

Mr. *** & Ms. Ms. *** have been policy holders with Globe Life Insurance since March 22, 1999. The beneficiary for a short time took over the payments and the policy lapsed. The beneficiary tried to correct the problem and mailed in a check for $210.00. Globe Life through the company Torchmark Corporation sent the check back. They said to fill out a new insurance form and charged Mr. $238.00 in March 12th, 2019. On June 1st, 2019 a check on the policy, Globe Life had no record of the (Reinstatement check). R&S Note PNC Bank confirmed the check was cashed by Globe Life And Accident Insurance Company.

Desired Outcome

Other (requires explanation) (Reinstate the policy or Reimburse the money that was charge to Mr.). $238.00. Reimbursement of the $238.00 will cut ties with Globe Life forever. If our attorney says so we will go after all the money we gave to Globe Life from March 1999 to 2019.

I called April 22,2019 to cancel my two polices and send me my surrender checks. Only receive my refund for my payment for April. I was told 10 days.
The account numbers are ***XXXXX and ***XXXXX. I called three times in April and six in May. Once in June, never allowed to speak to a supervisor or called back about surrender checks I suppose to have one for *** my daughter 10/28/1999 for $832.00 and *** my son 08/18/1990 for $220.00 that I cancel because I too many insurance polices.

As stated in her complaint, *** requested surrender of policies #*** and #*** via telephone on 04/22/19. Since premium payments were applied to both policies in April, it was necessary to refund those premiums before processing the surrender. Per our usual and routine procedure, a refund cannot be processed for 30-days from the date received to ensure that the payment has cleared.

On 05/21/19, Globe Life issued refund checks to Ms. in the amounts of $104.43 (#***) and $37.98 (#***). Copies of the cashed checks are enclosed for your reference.

The policies were surrendered on the same date that the refunds were issued. Checks in the amounts of $273.75 (#***) and $540.00 (#***), representing the full cash surrender value of each policy, were issued to Ms. on 05/21/19. Copies of these checks are also enclosed for your reference.

It is Globe Life's position that these policies were handled properly. Although it is Globe Life's to process all surrender requests in a timely manner, the policy language does allow the Company to defer payment for up to six months.

Policy #0023N4468, insuring the life of *** L. ***, is a term life policy issued 05/08/19 in the amount of $50,000.00 with a $100,000.00 accidental death benefit rider.

The policy was issued from an internet application submitted by Mrs. husband, ***, on 05/13/19. The coverage was approved because a husband is an acceptable relationship, according to our underwriting guidelines.

Per Mrs. request, Globe Life has cancelled policy #0023N4468. All premiums received for the policy have been refunded to Mr. along with a letter of explanation.

This was very, very easy! I spoke with a knowledgeable young lady who answered my questions without trying to sell me something. She told me I had several choices to get the type of policy I wanted, thanked me for calling, and gave me her direct line should I want to call back.

I checked my finances, saw that it was what I wanted and that I thought it was reasonable, and called her about 5 minutes later. She read me a statement about my rights and asked me a few questions about me health, I made arrangements for payment, and she said I should get the police within about 10 days, after it had been reviewed by them.

Easy Peasy! The whole thin took about 10 minutes and I am very happy!

I've payed my children's insurance policy before it was due and I've had to email proof of my payment several times .
On April 18 I received a phone call from one of the female supervisors and she informed me that my payment had been found and everything was taken care of but today I received a notice stating that my kid's policies had been cancelled.

I would just like for my money to be refunded back on my debit card and I'll find insurance some where else.

I think globe life insurance is not a good insurance company. I have been waiting 3 1/2 months may the 4th wi be 4 months and I still have not received a check. I feel they don't have a problem taking your payments but they don't want to pay out. I would never recommend this company to anyone.

Globe life insurance should have the policy number already. Same for the clam number. I have made a decision to contact my attorney. I have been told 1 or 2 things. The check will be mailed or were still working on it. I ve been playing this back in forth game for to long. So next will be an attorney then the media.

They are a rip off company! I bought insurance for my son 21 years ago, with their advertising that the rates would never go up or be cancelled due to change in age, etc. I went to pay the premium for 2019 and it went up by 4 x's, something I cannot afford, and goes against their "advertising promises". Tried to cancel and get reimbursed for the amount I had paid in over the years or amount of policy and was told I couldn't do it, my son had to. So my son called and they said call back the 23rd (gave me permission to do it) and they would "take care of it". Tried calling today (the 23rd) and again they said they had to speak with my son. So he called them and got alot of rude runaround and double talk, ending with a snarky comparison to auto insurance, and a denial of reimbursement. Stay away from this company!

Only interested if its a total refund of my money

They have taken $58.50 from my bank account between January until March. I don't have a policy with them.
January 13, February 13th and March 13th $58.50 was removed from my bank account for a total of $176.40 I spoke with them April 9th and they agreed to return the money within 10 business days. Now they keep e-mailing me requesting information they already have along with bank statements for proof. They are stalling and they know they stole that money. I never wanted the policy they claim they sold me.

The Company is confused by Mr. 05/02/19 rebuttal. Nowhere in Globe Life's letter dated 05/01/19 was Mr. asked to provide copies of bank statements. In fact, Globe Life settled this matter on 05/01/19 by refunding Mr. all premiums paid for policy #0019J8170 ($235.20). A copy of the refund check was uploaded to the Revdex.com website on 05/01/19 and is being attached again on this date.

Globe Life considers this matter closed.

Will not update my birth date after giving two forms of ID and Been tossed around. I have given all of the proof to validate. They were rude to my mom
My father was the head of this account. However, when I turned 21 years old...I became head of the account without knowledge. No one told us about it at all. Please keep in mind the lack of customer service has been horrible over the years with Globe. My mother and father who has paid this bill for over 35 years were treated so rudely and disrespectful. The bill is paid up until OCTOBER 2019...So what is the excuse now? I want my parent to be able to have access to this account...Therefore, it needs now. I am and have given permission plenty of times. Someone from Globe put 1/1/79 as my birth date so that I would have access or so that my parents wouldn't have access. My birthday is 9/29/1979. My father has the original paperwork that says the same thing.... SEPTEMBER 29, 1979. Why was it changed...and now you pt us through all of this MESS! CHANGE IT BACK. I have been given The run around for a month.....I FAXED AND EMAILED MY ID'S....AND STILL I HAVE TO WAIT 3-5 MORE BUSINESS DAYS....THE YOUNG LADY SAID SHE SHE MY ID's WHY DIDN'T SHE CHANGE IT??????THIS IS HORRIBLE AN BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! GLOBE NEEDS TO GET IT TOGETHER NOW.

Policy #XXXXXXXXX, insuring the life of *** S. *** is a juvenile whole life policy issued effective 12/08/1984 in the amount of $5,000.00 and includes two $5,000.00 riders, bringing the total face amount to $15,000.00. This policy is currently in force and paid to 10/08/2019. *** is the policy owner.

This policy was originally issued with the date of birth as 01/01/1979 because no date of birth was provided on the application (copy enclosed). On 04/05/2019, Globe Life received a fax from Ms. requesting her date of birth be corrected to 09/29/1979. A copy of the fax is enclosed. Included with this fax was a photocopy of Ms. driver's license as proof of her date of birth. However, the date of birth on the fax was illegible.

On 04/15/2019, Globe Life received a clearer image of Ms. driver's license via email (copy enclosed). The date of birth was corrected in our system on 04/29/2019.

Our Policy Service Department *** be sending Ms. a copy of the policy reflecting the correct date of birth shortly. The date of birth change does not have any effect on the premium rates for this policy.

The birthdate was corrected! However, someone changed my name to *** This company has played with my family more than enough and the proof is in the pudding. Please see the file I have attached. This is WRONG!

Contrary to statements in her rebuttal, Globe Life did not change Ms. name to "Jr.".

Although the screen shot of the information for Ms. policy from Globe Life's mobile application does show her name as La Kaya S. Lewis, Jr., that suffix does not appear anywhere in Globe Life's computer records. The mobile application doesn't currently reflect "Jr." either (see the screen shot attached).

It is possible that the "Jr" from the previous policy holder's name - R. B. Lewis, Jr. - wasn't removed when the information transferred to the mobile application. However, there is no way to know for certain. Regardless, "Jr" no longer appears on the mobile application.

Please extend our sincerest apologies to Ms. for any confusion or inconvenience this inadvertent oversight has caused.

Oki just want to know where the money order is I feel that my money needs to be refunded to me because it was told to me that the money order has been cashed on March 4 2019 this was told to me from western union and they also told me they will let me know who cashed it

Company sent me a life insurance policy and billing schedule. I did not authorize or request this policy. Policy number is 00-22N0354
I filed an online request for a quote for a $100,000 life insurance policy. I was informed via website that my request was being processed and that I would be contacted via telephone. I did not authorize any payment to this company nor did I agree to purchase any product from this company.

I received a policy in the mail on 4-5-19, for $5,000. Which I did not request or authorize. Policy number is 00-22N0354.

I also received a premium schedule and information that I would be receiving a bill in the mail for my premiums owed. I never authorized any of this.

I do not want this policy. I contacted customer service at approximately 7pm on 4-5-19.

I requested a $100,000 life insurance policy. Completed application online. Never received a response. A month later I received a policy in the mail for $5,000 of life insurance, which I did not authorize. The payment schedule cited in the policy was much different from the one in the online application I submitted. I contacted this company and spoke to Corey at extension 5373, He refused to provide me with any other identifying information and told me that it was "my problem." He told me not to pay the premium and "just let it lapse." I informed him that I never asked for this policy or payment schedule (which would have cost more in the first few years than the value of the policy itself!). He told me this was not his problem and that I could complain to the underwriters in writing if I wanted to, but that once again, this "isn't my problem." He was extremely rude and condescending. I will be filing a CFPB and a Revdex.com report. I requested a supervisor to speak to regarding his treatment of me, and he refused, stating "do you think I'm stupid?"

Desired Outcome

Immediately cancel this policy, 00-22N0354. Do not bill me for anything, as I authorized nothing. Do not send any amount of premiums, which I never authorized, to any collection agency or indicate that I owe any money to this company as I did not authorize any purchase of any policy and simply wanted a quote to decide among several companies I had inquired of life insurance information and had not ever decided on any policy with any specific company. Immediately remove me from their files as owing or authorizing any premium payments, acceptance of any policy or product. Send me WRITTEN confirmation of the above. Discipline Corey as appropriate based upon his verbal abuse of me during our telephone conversation.

This business is lying. I spoke to a customer service rep named Corey. He was rude and refused to help me. The business never tried to contact me in any way. I have call logs to my phone and have never at any point been contacted by the company. Their assertions that I indicated no health problems on my application is a LIE. This company LIES to uphold its image. I would urge anyone to AVOID doing business with this SCAM and look for a more reputable life insurance company. This company is a nightmare!
