I sold a pair of shoes through this retailer. $*** was made available for me to cash out. I cashed on on 6.13. It's 6.17 and it isn't in my bank.
I sold a pair of Air Jordan 4s x KAWS for around 1,200. I shipped out my shoes to the address of the retailer, they confirmed that my shoes were authentic. (Order #***) They took their cut from my 1,200 and made *** available for cash out in GOAT account. I cashed that out on 6.13.17 and in their app it states that it takes 2-3 days for the money to appear in my bank account. It USB 6.17.17 and I still haven't received my money. I emailed them about 6 times and only gotta automated replies along with one actual reply.

Desired Outcome

For the *** to be deposited into my account immediately.

Goat Response

The customer reached out on June 16th regarding his cash out that was initiated on June 13th. According to our payments processing company, their cash out failed to process due to incorrect banking information that was entered by the customer prior to cashing out.

Cash out transactions typically take up to 3 business days to process. However, whenever incorrect banking information is entered, the cash out will fail to process and may take a bit longer to be refunded back to the customer's account to be cashed out again.

Nevertheless, we did apologize for the delays and ensured the customer that we would make sure they receive their funds.

On June 21st, we added the missing funds from the cash out back to the customer's account to be cashed out again. The customer then re-entered his correct account information and was able to receive all his funds successfully.

The customer then proceeded to threaten us by demanding we waive all commission fees for their account, otherwise they would file a Revdex.com complaint. Unfortunately, waiving the commission fee is not something we can accommodate as that is the only way our company can continue to provide a safe and reliable sneaker marketplace for both buyers and sellers.

I was sold unauthentic Jordan 1 royals that were advertised as authentic.
I was sold a pair of shoes that I was told were authentic that I later found were not. Goat claimed that the shoes were authentic and had undergone a "verification process" in which they inspect the shoe for any signs of being fakes. Upon first inspection of the shoe they seemed to be authentic, it wasn't until I wore the shoe that I realized they were fakes. The shoe looks like a Jordan 1 but after wearing it became obvious that they were not authentic, everything about this shoe "feels" unauthentic and this is coming from someone who has owned over 10 pairs of this particular shoe model. When you purchase a particular model of a shoe it should not only look like the shoe but feel like the shoe as well when it is worn. I know that I was sold a replica of the shoe that has no visual signs of being fake, but the proof is in the fit of the shoe. Don't trust this companies "verification process" it is not 100% accurate and can't be since the shoe is never actually tried on my the person "authenticating" it.

Desired Outcome

I would like to return these shoes for a refund as I never plan on doing business with this company again.

Goat Response

The customer purchased the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG 'Royal' 2017 on April 1st and reached out on May 15th regarding concerns about the authenticity of the sneakers.

We had requested for additional photos for further review. Upon checking, our verification specialists confirmed that the customer's sneakers are 100% authentic.

During both the verification process and review of the photos sent, we examined a number of factors which include: checking the holes on the toe box, the shape of the back of the shoe, the nike tag on the tongue, the position of the wings, panel cuts, the box, and even the smell of the sneaker. All of these factors were carefully and thoroughly examined and confirmed to be accurate and 100% authentic.

In regards to how the sneakers fit and feel when tried on, the Jordan 1's will vary depending on the model. Other factors that can contribute to how they fit are how the shoes are laced and even the thickness of the socks worn.

All sneakers that are advertised as new are required to be in "new, never worn" condition. Therefore, trying on the sneakers is not included in our verification process since trying them on would deem the sneakers as used.

Per our return policy, we require all returns to be requested within 3 days from when the sneakers were delivered. Furthermore, we require all sneakers to be returned in the same condition as when they were delivered.

We were willing to make an exception and extend the return policy for this customer despite receiving his return request after the return period had passed. Unfortunately, the customer informed us that the sneakers were used. Since the sneakers were purchased in new, never worn condition, we were unable to accept the sneakers for a return.

Nevertheless, we want our customers to be happy and comfortable their purchases, so we are more than willing and open to working with the customer on alternative solutions.

I do not accept the response from GOAT. The idea that they can validate the authenticity of a shoe based simply on how it looks and smells is absurd to me, and also the idea of checking photos to authenticate a shoe. The way that a shoe looks is only one aspect of the shoe, the way that it fits is another, and a Jordan 1 feels like a Jordan 1 with maybe slight differences. Replica shoes are being made everyday now and the things that GOAT checks for in order to "authenticate" a shoe are well documented online, so it would stand to reason that the individuals who make these "replicas" would keep this in mind when making a "replica" shoe. GOAT would deny that this is even a possibility as this would be detrimental to their business model. I will only be satisfied with a full refund of my money upon return of the shoe.

Goat Response

The customer reached out to us again on June 13th and requested for a full refund. Unfortunately, since the sneakers were clearly worn and showed clear signs of wear, we were unable to issue a return for the customer's sneakers.

In order to categorize sneakers as new, we require sneakers to be in new and never worn condition. Because of this, we cannot try on sneakers as a part of the authentication process as the sneakers would no longer be in the same, never worn, condition.

Furthermore, how a sneaker fits and feels is often subjective and can vary depending on the customer. Rather than using subjective methods, we've built a database of over 40,000 sneakers with manufacturer notes, so every time a shoe comes through for verification, our specialists will inspect by hand off of those notes. We inspect everything from the stitching to the label, texture to color and so much more to ensure they are 100% authentic.

Once again, we have extensively reviewed the customer's photos and concerns as well as the footage from the verification process. We can confirm and guarantee that the sneakers that were delivered are 100% authentic.

With all that said, we had offered the customer an alternative solution by allowing the customer to re-list the sneaker on our platform and sell the sneakers free of commission. The customer would then be able to receive and cash out all of his earnings from their sale. With this alternative, we would also put the sneakers through our authentication process to once again ensure that his sneakers are 100% authentic before shipping to a new customer.

Since then, the customer has filed a dispute on the charge for this order, so our payments team is working directly with his bank to resolve this.

Although we are very disappointed that this situation has escalated to this point, we can confidently say that we delivered a sneaker that is 100% authentic and have worked diligently to provide a resolution that benefits all parties given the circumstances.

Our options moving forward are very limited since a dispute was filed. However, if the customer elects to remove the dispute, we are more than willing and happy to continue to work with the customer.

These shoes are not authentic. The verification process failed. I question whether these shoes were actually ever verified in person or just by photo. I want a full refund of my money in exchange for the unauthentic pair of shoes that were sold to me.

Pair of "new" shoes purchased has defects
The pair of Air Jordan Chrome 6 shoes I purchased back in February has defects on them. Goat is not willing to work with me at all on this issue. I would like a different pair of shoes or my money back. Goat is indicating it is not their issue but Nikes issue. Nike will not do anything about this due to Goat not being considered an authorized Nike dealer. Goat indicated in the advertisement that the condition of the shoes were brand new and authentic, I feel quite different about the situation. There are stitching flaws and other quality issues with the shoes.

Desired Outcome

I would like my money back and I will return the shoes to Goat

Per our Return Policy, items must be in the condition they were in when sent by GOAT, including but not limited to: no damage, original tags, no creases as a result of try-on and/or wear, no sole wear or debris, and all original packaging included to be eligible for return. As the shoes in question we admittedly worn several times before we were contacted regarding the damage, they are no longer covered by our Return Policy.

Since GOAT is a marketplace and not the manufacturer of any shoe listed for sale on our platform, we are unfortunately unable to replace inventory. We always advise contacting the manufacturer directly for issues involving durability or craftsmanship that fall outside of our Returns Policy. Contact information for Nike was provided to the customer to initiate a claim via email.

If there are any other questions or concerns regarding our Return's Policy, the customer is invited to contact GOAT directly for additional help.
