Back in July I purchased an 8'X10' shed from *** *** for our backyardOur experience with *** *** was fine; it was Tuff Shed who gave us a hassle...and still doesThe installers showed up on time, however was missing a whole windowAfter going back and forth, receiving push back from the installers, they agreed to go back and pick up the window they left behind...already adding more time for completion
After a week and a half of the shed being installed, our next issue arrived in the form of termitesNone of the structures in our yardnor our neighbors yard contain any termites or have shown sites of termite infestationUpon reading reviews of Tuff Shed's previous customers, I noticed I am not the only one to have issues with this (others complaining the wood delivers contained tree sap which attracted the critters)

This statement is being written to document my formal complaint against Tuffshed I purchased my Tuffshed on 7/1/from the *** *** store in Brookhaven MSMy installation was set up for Tuesday, July 19, and I was told that the crew building my shed would be coming from Terry MS I requested that they contact me when they got ready to leave for Liberty because my mother would be traveling from my home in Byram (minutes from Terry) The female representative told me that they would arrive between 8:00-10:and agreed that I would receive a call prior to the crew leaving for Liberty My mother got up early and waited for the call (she knew it would take approximately hours to travel to Liberty) My mother decided to go ahead and leave at 7:a.meven though she hadn’t received a call because she didn’t want the crew to show up and no one be at the house I called the company at 8:to confirm that the crew had left only to be told that they had cancelled the

The building has many defects, and dealing with them for repair has been extremely frustratingThey are difficult to contactThey say the will call back or follow up, but they do notThey do not seem to be interested in building quality or service after the saleI am very dissatisfied

We had a 6' x 6' shed installed in NovemberIt was purchased at the *** ** locationThe crew that installed the shed was sub-contracted and they broke the glass globe on an exterior light fixtureThe lead of the crew alerted me to the damage which was greatHe informed me that Tuff Shed is not liable for any damage the sub-contractors do, so he told me to find out how much a new one would cost and that he would pay for itAfter finally finding the same light fixture, which is years old, I couldn't find a glass replacementI informed the contractor that I had found the fixture but not the replacement glassI got no response from him after several attemptsIn the meantime I had contacted Tuff Shed several times alsoI understand that Tuff Shed does not cover damage caused by their subs, but when their subs won't respond where do you go? Bought a $2,12xTuff Shed and had it installed 8/26/ I had marked where it was to be installed on the cementThe installers arrived hours late and did not appear to speak much EnglishThey installed the shed a foot over the line blocking a *** meter! The door is hung wrong and won't shut without being forced closed We called Tuff Shed and complained to both the Manager(a lady) and the man in charge of the Installation Contractors Both said there was nothing they could do even though the shed was installed in the wrong place, blocking the *** meter, and the door was hung wrong! Tuff shed in Reno Nevada installed my building on March after a snowstorm and rain which left them a muddy environment to work inWhen the guys got the building up they said they had to go do another install and they would have to come back to complete ours because the trim above the door did not fit due to the vent hole being cut way too big I was told by *** *** where I purchased the tough shed and by the representative sitting in the Reno Nevada location that the buildings are painted very heavily before they are brought out and once installed they are given a full second coatSo my assumption was when they returned to finish trim they would also paint the 2nd coatWhen Nate called the next day to say he was on his way he stated he would finish trim and do the paint touch upI responded that I expected a full second coat of paint as promised his response was whatever was necessaryHe got here he saw the mud all over the building and proceeded to take pictures with his phone stating that was a big no-noWe had to provide him with wire brush to clean all of the mud off of the buildingHe then installed the trim and the vent cover and appeared to be putting paint on the trimI never actually witnessed the building itself being painted but when I questioned him he said that he hadSo I proceeded to go around the entire building touching the surface from top to bottom and I found maybe one or two spots where the paint was a little bit tacky yet I could also see there were nails with no paint on them a chip on several pieces of the wood siding that had no paint on them which indicated to me that he did not fully paint the entire surface of every sideRather than argue with him I called the Reno location and spoke with the general manager Ray *** I expressed what I was told and what I felt I was still due and he agreed and apologized and said he would have someone out today to take care of itI just received a call from Nate at 1:that he would be here shortlyIt Is 2:pm on May 4, The wind is blowing here in Sparks NV and we expect thunderstorms tonight.....I am now watching Nate work because I'm not comfortable taking his word for itThe building quality is goodVery happy with thatBut VERY unhappy that I had to take it to this levelI should have read Revdex.com reviews and *** reviews prior to purchaseSo shame on me

Dealt with Monty SlussCame in the spring to start to get an idea of what is neededOver the summer put in the pad and prepped the area for the shedCame back in the fall just after Thanksgiving to wrap it up
Process went smooth on orderingShed would be ready the next weekTook the time to customize the order and put vents and doors exactly where I wanted themMonty took notes and assured me it would be as requestedAfter all I was paying nearly double what the same shed would cost if not custom
They came and installed the shed, but did not follow the custom orderWhen I called Monty with my concern, he verified the plan was correctOnce he realized his notes and drawings where correct but the shed was not, he seemed less concernedCame across as not his problem at that point
He did still pass along my info to Anthony Madrid, the self described assistant GM for Tuff Shed OntarioI explained the problemHe offered a solution of fixing it or refunding a small amountThe fix required ripping apart the shedI was already using it and not wanting to go down this route, so I told him I would take the partial refundBut called it out as a low ball offer and asked for more to better compensate for the lack of custom shed in my yard
After I returned his email on December 11th, and again on the 13th, both Monty and Anthony fell silentNever again responding to my concerns or taking any action to make it rightNever processing even the small refund he promised
So now I have a non-custom shed that I paid far too much for, and I cant seem to get anyone at the company to pay any heed
Sure the install was fastBut the whole point of going to Tuff Shed to me was the custom aspect of itThey failed on that, and they failed over the last month to make it rightI would beg you to steer very clear

We have attempted to get Tuff Shed to come out and complete the correct installation of their product We made numerous calls to the sales person in Phoenix, Bobby, without getting a single return call We spoke to Gary, claims to be the GM of Phoenix, he skipped the appointment he made sent out Jack who noted the issues and we have not heard back from anyone Contacted the corporation in Colorado, only could leave a voicemail Expressed our frustration with their team in Phoenix and how poorly their product was installed Never heard back from anyone
The person (Gary) who claimed to be the General Manager of Phoenix didn't want to hear that when their installation team had not done things the way were told they would He also was less than empathetic to the fact their installer stated when they would be back to correct issues they would fix certain problems He stated the company doesn't fix a particular problem, even though the know it is a serious issue and can become a h

We bought a story shed from tuffshed they said it would take or months to build we said ok months go by and they havent even had the plans made yet we were going to use it as a office for our business we were not happy with the communication and conplete process they charged us plus 800sh for permits that is a lot of money and also there was no mention of a cancellation fee when we bought itWhen we canceled they charged us $because they had plans made, plans I have never seenPlans that they should not charge me for because the building was not custom
