On 8/4/I received a letter showing my subscription I have many problems with this I repeatedly said $and the rep said correct.....wrong....it is $49.90.....HE LIED!!! I asked for a copy of their terms and terms for cancelling......I STILL DID NOT RECEIVED!!!! I called on 8/26/to cancel, the rep said I had a commitment I can not cancel I responded what commitment? You NEVER sent your terms and service to me I asked to speak to a manager he said he was a manager.....I said wrong, I want to speak to someone above him He replied that the only person that is higher than me and that is the owner and no one speaks to him Sorry...wrong again....I use to work in telemarketing, there is always a manager on site The $gift card is NOT gift card but a bunch of different cards, which I have not even receivedThe repis unprofessional and rude I want a full refund back!!! I want this resolved ASAP It is really sad how many complaints you have, your reps need to be retrained and do not LIE I am a very unhappy customer, I will never do business with you nor recommend you to anyone!!!!

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.Spoke with a lady name Kim and was very helpful and understanding We talked that I have never made the first payment and she understood with my concerns She said she will wipe the account clean with me not owing the $(the whole contract with one late fee added on)or any more payments that was occurredI will not receive anything in the mail and will be put on the don't call list I am very grateful that Kim was very helpful on resolving this with me so it will not go to collections or on my credit report If anything shall show up on credit report or collections will be back in contact Thanks everyone again in your help of resolving this matterMrs [redacted]

I was called by Great American Readers that I would receive a USD gift card if I signed up for a magazine subscriptionI was told that a USD monthly payment from my credit card for would be auto drafted each month, but I could cancel at any timeI was also told that the total price I would pay for the contract period was roughly USD but I would only pay about USD with a special promotion going onI never received any paperwork nor the gift cardThis started March 1st Up until today May 8, 2017, I was under the belief the magazine company was legitToday I tried to call and cancel the subscription, I was told specifically that "you cannot cancel your services at all"I opted to pay for delivered magazines and cancel future services, but was told that was impossibleThey then played back a recorded message of myself and the service rep on the day I agreed to the contract, me stating yes, but the record of conversation was only half of what was said, which

I was harassed, threatened, and cussed out by their representative SamWhenI would ask to cancel he would yell at me and say that I couldnt cancel and that I was an adult now and that I had to pay the full balance of about dollars for subscriptions that are worth a total of dollars directly from the publisherHe would assert that he was the manager of the company and that there was no one higher up than himAfter filing this complaint I was contacted by a supposed manager for the customer service deptOnly after filing the Revdex.com complaint was I treated like a human beingThese people are preying on the elderly and on the vast majority of people who will not put up a month long fight and figure out how exactly to approach their deceptive business practicesI was told that my service has been canceled and that since I already disputed the charges I should be seeing that money back in my bank account soonI can only imagine all the poor elderly people who do not know how to defend themselves from these scam artistsMy heart goes out to them

Purchased a bundle of magazines for $49.00, then decided to cancelCalled the number the company gave me to cancel the subscriptions/bundle, but after multiple tries there was never an answer of the callsNow I'm in collections, and was told that to cancel the subscription it will cost me $The collection company, Interstate Recovery Service, calls constantly and is very pressuringJust wanted to cancel the subscriptionDon't understand how a $subscription will now cost $to cancelI am paying it but I feel I was scammed

I order magazines from Great American Reader and I have not received all the magazines that I ordered I tried to contact them but the number I was given was busy They contacted me and The customer service person was rude screaming at me and after that I do not want to ido Amy Business with them and I don't to cancel this service Do going to pay for magazines I don't receive Thanks

VERY NEGATIVE! I apparently signed up for magazines, I have called to say I already get magazines that I pay for and they are sending the same onesI called back to tell them to cancel it as I told them I already get these magazines Tony with Customer Service tells me my days are up and I cannot cancel this now So, I explained to tony that I am not interested in any of this, and he informs me that I am under a contract (WHAT CONTRACT?) for months Oh no I am not! So now I am filing dispute with my bank and going through the fraud department to get a new cc and I will cancel this magazine order I thought I was helping my grandson's school but apparently these people are just crooks They don't care, there is no customer service and they are more than rude! I am astounded at the audacity It is absurd that by the end of months it would have been $for magazine subscriptions It's robbery and a SCAM by this company Kiss my hind end! Deb J
