I met with the manager *** *** per the request of Delta SonicHe began by measuring the distance of my car from the underside to the groundThen we measured the track on which the car is takenthrough the car wash onHe stated that the tape reviewed, shows that my car was lifted multiple times on the driver sideHe then asked if I went off the trackI stated it would be impossible for me to know or notHe stated that tape could not tell if this was the case or notHe stated that distance between my car and track would not have caused any damageThis conclusion was made by him asking me to push down on the car to see how far I could push it to the groundI tried to reason with him about the fact is I don't weigh pounds like my carI stated to him that simple physics proves that if a car of that weight is pushed up in the airIt was hit below the clearance to cause damage to my carI also stated to him what also proves it did happen was the fact my fog lamp cover was shot off due to the pressure created on impactHe argued that it could of been blown off by the dryersIt doesnt logically make sense considering the dryers are blowing the piece into my carHow does a piece get pushed off when it is going in the same direction as the wind being blown on the carHe continued to claim this a daily issue with damage being done to carsHe did also state that this happens more on busy daysIfnthe video it shows how close cars are being pushed throughThe conversation ended with him admitting that the logical answer is that it was their fault but its his job to do what upper management tells him to doHe basically admitted that he was going to report that there was no fault on their endI attempted to add to his report because of the push down test not being a proper way to measure how far my car would of fallen but he refused to allow me to do soHe said if I have an issue that I should file a small court claim againest themI am going to be forward my sistuation with Delta Sonic to all the media areas in WNYThis is joke that a manager would speak to a customer like thatNot to mention the procedure to check how much force would came down on my carThere is no logical explanation to have the fog lamp cover blown off unless it was pushed out from my car hitting the trackI want my car fixedAll that needs to be done the car parts need to be taken off and put back on

We have attempted to appraise fairly and properly all the
information and reports available to us regarding the occurrence of this
alleged incident.
Our pre-wash digital
video shows substantial ice buildup around the area in question on the vehicle prior
to entering the Car Wash
It appears
extreme weather conditions and cold temperatures caused this ice buildup, and a
weakened seal on the door caused the buildup to enter the door frame. Furthermore, the Car Wash only generates
gentle sprays of water; it does not produce enough water to cause ice to
buildup in a door frame.
Our records also confirm a total of 1, vehicles went
through the Car Wash on the date in question with no similar reports of
damage. Certainly, if our Car Wash
caused the damage in question, there would be an excellent chance the damage
would have been repeated on other vehicles
Although we cannot pay for the damage to the complainant’s
vehicle, we would be happy to send complimentary services for any inconvenience
caused

We will further investigate this matter upon inspection by the District Manager on 10/2/

The customer should expect a phone call from the manager of our Unlimited Department to have this taken care of She will be contacted at the phone number provided

April 15,2015***, Complaint HandlerRevdex.comBryant Woods SouthAmherst, New York 14228Dear ***,In response to your letter dated April 9th Complaint ID *** I followed the instructions given to me to take the car back to the body shop where the previous repair was doneMy collision repair man said that if the damage to the edge of the door was caused by wet-sanding it should have shown up on the entire door since the whole door had been doneHe further stated that since I had the car washed a couple of times at Delta Sonic after the car was repaired and before the car was detailed there it should have showed up when the car was washedTherefore the collision shop is not accepting the responsibility for the damage. While I have always been pleased with the work done in the past at Delta Sonic I wish to go on record that neither I or my family will patronize or recommend Delta Sonic againThe amount of money they will lose from not doing business with them will far surpass the repair cost of $500.I am currently doing business with ***'s Car Wash, which may not be as big as Delta Sonic, but from my past experience with them they have shown that customer satisfaction is important.At one time I owned a *** *** that the aerial snapped off the fender as it was going through the *** *** ***I put in a claim which was promptly taken care of for $I realize now that after all I have had to go through with the Delta Sonic Corporation that I should have remained loyal to ***'s. An inspection by a licensed insurance adjuster revealed visual damage on the passenger front bumper and fender, indicating an impact prior to the incident That impact could have caused the fender gap to misalign and catch the passenger door when opened It is very likely that the misaligned fender, in conjunction with the inclement weather the area was experiencing, caused the buildup of ice and ultimately resulted in the damage in question We have determined that the unfortunate situation the complainant experienced is not one that is related to the Car Wash We regret the inconvenience involved but must stand on our original judgment of denying responsibility for this claim

All customers were given a day notice of the Unlimited Plan
price increase. The notification was
printed on the unlimited receipts, and was also displayed by on-site signage. All prices were subject to change
As a gesture of
customer goodwill, we can refund the
difference for this month. We can also
offer a discounted rate of $to meet the customer half way
The customer can contact our Unlimited Department at
1-800-THE-KISS and they will process the rate change and the price difference
refund. The customer’s Unlimited Plan
barcode number and credit card information will be necessary at the time of the
call to process this request

We have reviewed the complainants concerns. Our records indicate the wiper cap repair was scheduled for the complainant however; the complainant did not show up for the scheduled appointment We have already sent to the customer a $gift card and an Interior Cleaning
certificate totaling $worth of complimentary services Although we cannot control that the complainant missed the repair appointment, in the interest of customer goodwill, we will send one additional $gift card At no time was the complainant promised a Showroom Detail certificate The only further compensation we will send is the $Gift Card which we feel is more than fair compensation

We appreciate the customer’s concerns. Our Unlimited Car Wash Plan is designed to be
used on one vehicle per plan. A bar
coded sticker is placed on the driver side rear window of the vehicle and the
sticker is scanned every time you wash.
It was discovered that the
complainant was abusing the plan by using his
sticker on multiple vehicles. This is
evident by his wash history. The
complainant laminated the sticker and moved it from vehicle to vehicle. Due to the circumstances, the customers plan
had to be cancelled. We can offer a
refund from the date the plan was cancelled on 1/17/through the end of
January. The refund amount would total
$5.40. The complaint can contact our
Unlimited Department at ###-###-#### with his credit card information for the
refund to be processed

We value our customers and careful consideration is given to
all customer claims.
Our investigation indicates that there was a heavy
accumulation of ice in the corner of the passenger front door jamb. The ice was not visible from the outside and
the technician had no way to have
known that the door jamb had ice in it. The technician was also not advised prior to
the cleaning not to open the door
As this is something that our technician had no prior
knowledge of and could not have prevented, we have offered to pay one half of
the repair amount as determined by an independent adjuster. The adjuster has determined that the fair and
accurate price to repair is $1,278.88.
Our offer to pay $still remains.
A copy of the appraisal has been attached for review

[I was advised that the appointment that is scheduled for 5/14/15 is not to investigate further on my damages but to "show me" how the car wash works. That is not going to fix the damages on my car done by this car wash. I want to be reimbursed by Delta Sonic for the damages caused on my car by Delta Sonic's Car wash.]

We appreciate the customers concerns and have thoroughly
investigated the circumstances concerning the incident that was reported.  Our investigation has determined that the
damage on the vehicle’s finish could not have been caused as a result of the
service performed at Delta Sonic. ...

There
are no chemical or solvents used in the service that was rendered. 
Our certified repair technician also inspected the
vehicle.   Our repair technician ascertained the markings
on the driver door edge would have been caused by wet-sanding-a service used by
body shops to remove heavy imperfections by sanding the paint surface.  The complainant confirmed that prior to the
service at Delta Sonic; she had body work performed to the driver side of the
vehicle, including the area in question.
As it appears the origin of this damage was a due to
previous repair, we suggest the complainant contact the body shop for
resolution.  Unfortunately, we cannot
accept liability for the damage in question.

We appreciate and understand the customers concerns.  We regret the inconvenience involved but must stand by our original judgment of denying responsibility for this claim.

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.]I will get an estimate from the dealership and I will upload the documents. My time is very valuable to me and for this incident to happen on the 30th of January and I receive free wash passes on the 9th of February is not acceptable on any bases. The company basically looked at a picture that the manager took and went with the decision stating that there was damages done to my car before the fact and that the car wash isn't responsible. Well I fell as though the company is responsible for my lens falling off and I would like for it to be fixed. Sending $50 in car wash coupons is basically a slap in my face and I refuse to accept that. Like I said I have been coming to this car wash for over 10 years and I never had an incident like this occur, and for me to ask for my lens be fixed and I have to go to the third degree with this is not acceptable at all. I have been driving around with blue tap holding up my lens since this incident. The manager Mike did not even offer to assist me with the light until I said I was not driving off this lot with my light exposed. I will be contacting my dealership and getting an estimate and forwarding it over and I hope that we can get this resolved immediately.

I do not have the estimates .   They were both faxed to Delta Sonic head quaters.  I will have to go out and do them again, or maybe Delta Sonic would have them.  Please let me no what my next step should be.Thank you
