reference to complaint ID [redacted] and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.We still have yet to hear from Delta Sonic and believe it was wrong of them not to let us know that we were rear ended. It was very unprofessional and unfair to us because we now have to wait to find out if we can get the information from the man who rear ended us. We hope that if they cannot help us with that, they should be the one's who help pay for the damage as they were giving poor directions and had all the cars follow too close behind. We shouldn't be treated carelessly at a car wash and should not have had to deal with this.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.  I am very upset that this has happened. While this is a Delta Sonic we've never been to because it's far from our home, I do expect the damage to be taken care of according to the estimate we provided. To say that there is absolutely no way that this could have happened at their business is an untrue statement. No place is and no one is above accidents happening. That's why we have precautions and insurance for those unforeseen and unexpected occurrences. I wish we weren't in a hurry to get to our doctors office and that we were healthy enough to stay and deal with this stuff. We showed our Sonic here in our area. We also have seen that there have been other very similar complaints online. It seems to me from looking into those complaints, that Sonic is getting away with not taking care of their customers and tell them they will see you in claims court and you'd better get a lawyer! I have never been treated so badly at any business! I know, that I know, that I know, that the scratches all over my vehicle are from the car wash. The scratches are long, not able to be buffed out and my front passenger window needs to be replaced. It is very upsetting to me to feel like there is no one with any integrity anymore and to be spoken to in a rude manner. Something happened to my car in the wash, I reported it and get treated as though I'm imagining it. Please, someone do the right and honest thing.  Regards,   [redacted]

We fully understand the customers concerns and have carefully considered this complaint.  Our preliminary investigation indicates it is highly unlikely the damage in question was a result of the services performed at Delta Sonic.  If you feel we have not assessed your claim fairly, please contact our office to schedule an appointment with our Site Supervisor to inspect the vehicle.  Be assured Delta Sonic will work hard to resolve all customer claims.

We fully understand the customer's concerns and have carefully considered this complaint.  The photos submitted with the customer's claim report do not show any paint transfer on the bumper.  If there is in fact any additional damage, we would be more than happy to cover the repairs....

 Our records indicate the claimant spoke with one of our representatives on 4/25/17 and stated she would return to the location so that we could take photos of the additionally claimed damage.  To date, the customer has not returned.  If it is more convenient for the claimant to email photos to us, they can be sent to [email protected].  Unfortunately, the DMV will not issue a replacement license plate to us.  The replacement plate would have to be issued directly to the claimant.  We are certainly willing to issue reimbursement for the replacement plate.  Once the photos are received, we can proceed with claim processing.  Thank you.

We have received the above referenced complaint and appreciate the opportunity to respond.  Our investigation has determined the problem did not occur due to any negligence on the part of Delta Sonic.  As shown by the attached photo, the area in which the key was placed was clean and dry....

 Furthermore, the key was tested multiple times by the Supervisor and a [redacted] Police Officer, and each time the key functioned properly.  If the complainant can forward a diagnosis to our office, directly relating the issue with the key fob to our service, we will authorize reimbursement.

Hello, the response does not reflect the correct information, the mirror has NEVER been replaced previously. The  mirror was replaced by Delta Sonic due to their own investigation that it was damaged during a wash. The replacement was with an after market mirror that does not match driver side factory mirror, the depth perception, reflection/magnification is too strong and It is dangerous as the entire side is a blind spot. The vehicle is a large truck and at this point the mirror is useless and a danger. I am requesting the mirror be replaced with the correct factory made mirror as it had prior to Delta Sonic damaging it.  I Have expressed the same concern on going, also with the same request to simply have the correct part replaced. All paperwork has been forwarded to my attorney at this point.  Delta Sonic will be held liable for the endangerment it is currently putting myself and family by NOT replacing my mirror with factory OEM parts. I am also concerned that when I spoke with Delta Sonic prior to the installation, I was told it would be replaced with the same Ford parts and not an aftermarket parts as it was. I have yet to receive a callback from any of the managers or staff I left a message at Delta Sonic, prior to my complaint.

We have reviewed the consumers additional comments.  We feel that we have offered fair resolution to this complaint.

Our records indicate repairs were completed at Midway Dodge, and paid for in full by Delta Sonic.  Although we cannot offer any type of monetary compensation, we would be happy to have complimentary Delta Sonic Gift Cards mailed to the complainant for any inconvenience caused.

Our records indicate the complainant met with our District Manager on 6/6/15.  The complainant was shown video evidencing the damage was present prior to the Car Wash.  In the interest of customer goodwill, an authorization for a courtesy buff was also mailed to the customer.  Once the customer receives the authorization letter, the appointment can be made with the Detail Shop.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], due to new facts I am cancelling the appointment.In addition I would like to state that I went for a second opinion to our carshop of 15 years in Ithaca. I was told that they had never seen any like it. But the initial damage could have come from the power wash, however the continuous peeling still increasing in the heat, has to do with poor workmanship at a body shop in Buffalo. They will repair the damage at no cost.As a customer of car wash shops, I would feel better if there is a warning that "repaired or repainted parts might get damaged with the prewash". Why it happened now and not years earlier, could have to do with the heat.

We appreciate the customers concerns regarding this incident however; our investigation and visual inspection by our Site Supervisor strongly indicates that the damage was the result of a pre-existing condition.  Normally the paint finish on a vehicle, if properly applied and in sound...

condition, will not be affected by the Car Wash or pre-spray process.  The only time a problem may occur is when the paint has lost adhesion creating a peeling, bubbled or flaking condition.Although the primary cause of damage may be one of these pre-existing conditions, in the interest of customer goodwill, we are willing to issue a check to the customer in the amount of $150.00 in the event the damage was further aggravated at Delta Sonic.

We have fully reviewed the details of this complaint.  In order for damage to occur, we feel strongly that a pre-existing condition was the initial cause of the problem.  Our equipment is designed so that the support arm of any vehicle will clear easily.  In order for for a support...

arm to become damaged, the vehicle's support arm must be unusually low to the ground or have prior damage.  This is usually due to worn shocks, a rust weakened condition, vehicle modifications or inadequate repairs.  We wash thousands of vehicles every month without incident. In the event a pre-existing condition was further aggravated as a result of the service at Delta Sonic, we would be willing to issue partial payment towards the repair.  Please forward a repair estimate for review purposes.

We appreciate and understand the complainants feelings on this matter but unfortunately must stand behind our assessment that this damage occurred somewhere other than Delta Sonic.  Our investigation and visual inspection by the Site Supervisor indicate the damage in question is not consistent with the services performed at Delta Sonic.  The pre-spray nozzles are fitted with a protective rubber tip and could not cause the damage in question.  Also, Delta Sonic's uniforms and wiping material have been proven safe and reliable, making it very improbable for any damage to have occurred during the hand dry finish.  We apologize for any inconvenience but must stand on our original judgment of denying responsibility for this claim.
