We want to thank [redacted] for bringing her concern to our attention.  To be clear, Instant Checkmate’s Reverse Phone product does not permit consumers to receive text message history or to see the text contained in a text message.  We certainly apologize if [redacted] may have had a different impression.  Instead, Instant Checkmate’s Reverse Phone product allows consumers to identify the owner behind a particular telephone number.  For example, if you receive a text message from a telephone number you do not recognize, Instant Checkmate’s Reverse Phone product will enable you to identify who may be the owner of the associated telephone number and thus who may have sent you the text message.  Likewise, if you learn that a significant other has received a text message from a telephone number you do not recognize, Instant Checkmate’s Reverse Phone product may likewise help you to run a search on that telephone number and identify who may have sent the text message.  We hope this clarifies [redacted]’ understanding.
We apologize that [redacted] was not satisfied with our services. As a gesture of goodwill, [redacted] has been issued a refund in the amount of $22.86, as per the request in the original complaint. Instant Checkmate.com compiles reports from millions of public records including information provided by state and local governments. All of the information contained in our reports is part of what is referred to as the "public record."
We do apologize for any confusion Mr. [redacted] may have experienced regarding our services. Some customers are under the impression that when you purchase a membership with our company you are paying for records; unfortunately, this is not the case. The service that is provided is actually the compiling of all the public records data and the sorting of the data into an easy to read format. When a customer pays for a public records search, we do guarantee that we will search every database available to us, however, we cannot guarantee which records will or will not show up in the final report since we are not in control of the records themselves. We simply display records as they are provided to us.
We get our information from local county courthouses and census bureaus. This information is then uploaded to the database that we pull from. There is a possibility that some information may not show on a given individual because some state and local laws restrict us from accessing certain records which may not be considered “public” in that jurisdiction. There also exists the possibility of false positives, and more than one individual with the same name and basic information may match up with many other records. Instant Checkmate sincerely apologizes for the inconvenience that Mr. [redacted] experienced.  Instant Checkmate does provide unlimited reports to its subscribers in accordance with the Terms of Use.  From time to time, however, Instant Checkmate has encountered fraudulent or unlawful use of its services which can put consumers and Instant Checkmate at risk – for instance, by an individual potentially using a stolen credit card, engaging in identity theft, or re-selling Instant Checkmate’s data.  Accordingly, Instant Checkmate’s Terms of Use and Limited License for Services provide: ”Customer agrees that if Instant Checkmate determines or reasonably suspects that continued provision of Services to Customer entails a potential security risk, or that Customer is otherwise violating any provision of this Agreement, or any of the laws, regulations, or rules described herein, Instant Checkmate may take immediate action, including, without limitation, terminating the delivery of, and the license to use, Services.”  Several factors are considered before an account is terminated. In the event we terminate an account, we promptly provide written notice to the subscriber and refund all monies paid.  There are also occasions where we make contact with the subscriber and determine that the account did not warrant suspension.  Based on this Mr. [redacted]’s complaint, we agree that the his account was not being used maliciously and the account has now been re-activated through the end of the subscription term.  As a courtesy, we have also provided a full refund to Mr. [redacted].

This refund has been credited back to the card that was used to enroll in our services, and no further charges will be incurred. This company is a total sham. I saw the advertisement and was curious what information they would have on me. I started through the process of running a report on myself. They found my name and age but as soon as they said they found 8 criminal records on my the current county I live in, I knew the site was fake. I have never had an issue with anything remotely criminal. My last speeding ticket was about 23 years ago. I didn't proceed further.

This site is a scam, they lead you in to thinking that you will receive a complete report for the $13.64 fee for one month. After paying the $13.64, you then must pay $19.99 + other fees to see a report. Also you must pay $1.99 if you like to receive a PDF of your report. Total SCAM. Called and asked for a refund.

Paid for a single records search 18 Jul and then noticed in Nov that they had billed my credit card for 4 more months after that ($27.78 each time). The fact it was a monthly charge that I had to cancel after the single records search was not clearly stated. Apparently, it was hidden in the terms of service fine print. Luckily I caught the Nov billing and was able to cancel it, the representative also refunded my Oct charge (will see if credit shows up...). Still ended up paying for 3 months plus the original charge. Total ripoff!

I can't believe this got a rating of a B+.The information they provided was inaccurate and then they ask for more money to look up other things..this place is scam when my mom called them to cancel her membership they said they weren't unable to find the account.I believe its a lie because I read other peoples reviews about this website they said the same thing.now my mom may have to close her bank account.please Revdex.com give this place a F.Don't let other people get conned by this place and you lose your accredited ability!I swear I won't trust Revdex.com if this ever happens again!
