Mr***,I spoke with Deirdre regarding the delivery of your paper that should have been stopped as well as your refund. I have spoken to the field, zone and area manager to ensure delivery has stopped immediately. Your refund did process successfully, normally takes up to business days to receive. On 9/6/MR *** brought his car in with a check engine light onWe diagnosed that the light was on due to an exhaust gas re circulation issue,trouble code PThere is a computer software update for this codeWe informed him that the
software update needed to be done before any further diagnosis could be done, he agreed to the update and was charged $112.50.We advised that if the light came back on we would have to do further diagnosis
On 11/8/He came in with the light on at that time he had two trouble codes a Pand a pending code pwhich is a lean running codeSince the source of the check engine light was the pwe recommended that he not worry about code pat that timeThe EGR valve was faulty and the EGR ports were plugged with carbonafter getting authorization from MR *** we cleaned the ports and replaced the EGR valve, the cost was $
The next day he returned with the light onThis time he had a hard code Plean running condition, we diagnosed this code at no charge and found a broken vacuum hose, we explained to him that this was a different code from the code we repaired and we would have to buy additional parts to do this repairHe declined repairs and left with the car
Please keep in mind that this is a year old car
with over 215,miles on it and by the condition of the car it has not received proper maintenance for a long time.Also keep in mind that there are hundreds of conditions on today's cars that will turn on a check engine lightFederal law requires that any condition that could cause emissions levels to exceed 1.5% over the limits set for any car produced beginning with the model year must turn on the check engine light
