September 30, 2016Thank you for your letter dated September 26, regarding [redacted] I was sorry to hear that [redacted] was dissatisfied with our response to his complaint, particularly because we have yet to hear from him so that we could discuss a satisfactory resolutionAdditionally, our records indicate that [redacted] has still not attempted to utilize his vacation services, so our position that he couldn’t possibly be “dissatisfied with the service” remains unchanged. In his responses to your office, [redacted] also makes claims that our Sales staff had him “pinned into a lengthy coercive and deceptive sales pitch,” during which “a deluge of sales people (exerted) high pressure tactics employed after several hours of coercion.” We take exception to this characterization of the practices employed by our Sales staff, as we hold them to the highest levels of courtesy and professionalismIn an effort to ensure that all of our prospective clients are treated in a respectful manner, we have our new clients affirm that they were treated wellWe have already provided you with a copy of the Consumer Disclosure Acknowledgment portion of [redacted] ’s Agreement, and we ask that you note his initials in the “Yes” column of question number 14, which I have copied below.Although he has not responded to numerous attempts to contact him, I still remain confident that if given the opportunity we could resolve [redacted] ’s concernsIf [redacted] would like to discuss his complaint and be an active participant in its resolution I would encourage him to contact our Customer Service department at his earliest convenience. We trust this resolves [redacted] ’s complaint, and we ask that you notify us if it is not resolvedShould you have any questions regarding this or any other matter, please do not hesitate to contact this office at [redacted] .Sincerely,Ed CSrManager, Customer Service

October 21, 2016Thank you for your letter dated October 3, regarding [redacted] ***I was sorry to hear that [redacted] felt that her Vacation Program Agreement was not satisfactorily fulfilling her vacation needsIt is never our intention to displease our clients, and it is always disheartening to learn that a valued customer might be dissatisfied. In her letter to your office [redacted] claims that Sundance Vacations “make(s) it impossible for you to utilize their services,” and continues to assert that “this company does not honor its promises.” While it is true that [redacted] has not used any of the vacation weeks that she purchased through her Vacation Program Agreement, we take great exception to this inaccurate portrayal of her experiences with our services. After reviewing the records of [redacted] ***’s interactions with Sundance Vacations, we see that on two separate occasions she contacted our reservations staff to inquire about possible availabilityOn September 22, [redacted] discussed a trip to somewhere with an indoor water park, and was offered a reservation at the [redacted] Resort in upstate New York ?" a property that has an indoor water park on siteOur records indicate that she said that she would call us back to finalize the booking, but never did soA similar scenario took place on February 4, 2016, when [redacted] was offered reservations at several different resort properties, told our reservations staff that she would call back to finalize the arrangements, and never did. When we received your letter, we had a representative from our Customer Service team contact [redacted] in order to see if we could reach some sort of amicable resolution to this matterOur records indicate that after discussing this matter with [redacted] on October 10, 2016, we agreed to cancel her Vacation Program Agreement and provide her with a full refund of the principle paid towards the AgreementOur records indicate that she was pleased with this resolution. We trust this resolves the complaint and ask to be notified if it is not considered resolvedShould you have any questions regarding this or any other matter, please do not hesitate to contact this office at ###-###-####.Sincerely,Ed CSrManager, Customer Service

February 22, 2018Thank you for your letter dated February 12, regarding [redacted] ***I was sorry to hear that [redacted] felt that the decision to purchase her Vacation Program Agreement was the product of any “inconsistencies” regarding the information that was provided, or that the fees associated with the Vacation Program were covered inadequatelyIt is never our intention to mislead clients, but rather one of our main priorities to ensure that all information is fully disclosed and that all of our customers are comfortable with their purchase. In regard to [redacted] ***’s insinuation that the fees associated with the Vacation Program were not covered adequately, we feel that this is a complete misrepresentation of the efforts made by our Sales staffThere are only two fees that [redacted] seems to be claiming to be unaware of: the Unit Size and Unit Upgrade Fee and the Prime Season UpgradeIn the Terms and Conditions of the Vacation Program Agreement there are multiple references to these fees, as outlined in the sections copied belowI have also enclosed copies of the pertinent sections of the Agreement for your reference. In addition to the Vacation Program Agreement, all of our clients are provided with a Consumer Disclosure AcknowledgmentThis form ensures that our clients are aware of all the pertinent details of? the Vacation Program, responding to a series of easy-to-understand questions by initialing in a column corresponding to either “Yes” or “No.” I have copied questions number 8, and below, which show [redacted] initialing in the “Yes” column, indicating that she was aware of the upgrade fees associated with the Vacation Program. The section referenced above mentions that the Prime Season upgrades are done “in accordance with the Seasonality Guide.” This is a form that all of our clients are provided with, and I have enclosed a copy of [redacted] ***’s for your referenceThis form goes through the seasonality of all of our major vacation areas, outlining when upgrades will be due, and I ask that you notice that [redacted] signed the form to signify that she understood its contentsMoreover, all of our clients are also provided with a Reservation Fee Schedule, which clearly defines the fees that are due for travelling in units of varying sizes through different times of the yearI have copied this form in its entirety below, and we again ask that you notice that it was signed by [redacted] to signify that she agreed with and understood its contents. We were already working on [redacted] ***’s account before we had received any communications from your officeAfter several communications with [redacted] ***, we were able to reach an amicable resolution to this matter on February 12, ?" the same day that [redacted] ***’s letter was forwarded to our officeOur records indicate that we agreed to cancel [redacted] ***’s Vacation Program Agreement, and agreed to a refund that was fair and equitableOur records indicate that [redacted] was satisfied with this resolution. We trust this resolves [redacted] ***’s complaint, and we ask that you notify us if it is not resolvedShould you have any questions regarding this or any other matter, please do not hesitate to contact this office at ( [redacted] .Sincerely,Ed C [redacted] SrManager, Customer Care

March 17, 2017Thank you for your letter dated March 9, regarding [redacted] I was sorry to hear that [redacted] felt that we had not addressed the concerns that she had expressed in her original letter of complaint to your officeWhile [redacted] disagrees that we are at an “impasse,” we have no other term for the situation that we currently find ourselves in [redacted] insists that all of the terms and conditions of the Vacation Program Agreement were misrepresented and presented as part of some “deception.” To the contrary, we have provided signed documents from over four years ago that show, in great detail, how all of the fees associated with [redacted] ’s Vacation Program were covered adequately.Although we have multiple signed documents that counter all the assertions of malfeasance put forth by [redacted] , it is becoming increasingly apparent that pursuing any future relationship with her would prove to be imprudentWhile she has not used any of the vacation weeks that she purchased, she also had several vacation weeks on hold in 2013, only to change her mind and decide not to use them(To reiterate, these are vacation weeks that we made available for her use only to have her decide that she didn’t want to use them.)In order to reach an amicable resolution to this matter, Sundance Vacations would be willing to refund [redacted] 50% of the principal paid towards her Vacation Program and cancel the Agreement, also relieving her of responsibility for the $6,still owed on the contractTo date, [redacted] has paid $5,towards the Vacation Program, so our refund offer would be for $2,If this is acceptable, we ask that [redacted] contact us so that we can provide her with the appropriate paperwork to sever our relationship. We trust this resolves [redacted] ’s complaint, and we ask that you notify us if it is not resolvedShould you have any questions regarding this or any other matter, please do not hesitate to contact this office at [redacted] .Sincerely,Ed CSrManager, Customer Service

September 23, 2016Thank you for your letter dated September 15, regarding [redacted] I was sorry to hear that [redacted] felt that the details of his Vacation Program Agreement were not adequately disclosedIt is never our intention to mislead clients, but rather one of our main priorities to ensure that all information is fully disclosed prior to any purchase taking placeWe strive to communicate, both verbally and in writing, all information in a manner that is easy to understand.Upon reviewing her complaint to your office, the primary concern that [redacted] seems to have with his Vacation Program is that he feels that he was misinformed regarding his ability to cancelWe feel that this is a complete misrepresentation of both the facts of the Pennsylvania Consumer Protection Laws and the efforts our sales staff makes to ensure that all details are disclosedThe fact of the matter is not that [redacted] ’s right to rescission was revoked, but that it never existed in the first place, in part because he entered into this Agreement in our permanent place of business, and not in his residence or over the telephoneThis is also information that is well covered in the Vacation Program Agreement entered into by [redacted] , and I have included copies of the pertinent pages for your referencePlease note section of the Agreement, as well as question of the Consumer Disclosure Acknowledgment, which shows [redacted] ’s initials in the “Yes” column when asked if he understood that the Agreement was not subject to any right of rescission.Additionally, we take exception to [redacted] ’s assertion that he is in any way “dissatisfied with the service.” Our records indicate that [redacted] has never attempted to utilize any of the services promised to him under his Agreement, making it impossible for him to have experienced any sort of dissatisfactionThe only contact we have on record from [redacted] was on April 28, 2016, when he informed our Customer Service team that he could not afford the package and was offered the opportunity to significantly reduce the costs associated with his purchase, which he accepted. After receiving your letter, a manager from our Customer Service department began to try to contact [redacted] in an effort to discuss his complaintUnfortunately, we have been unable to contact him, having left messages to contact us at the number listed on this complaint on three occasions (9/14, 9/15, and 9/22/2016)As a result, we are not able to offer a complete resolution to this complaintI remain confident that if given the opportunity we could resolve [redacted] ’s concernsIf [redacted] would like to discuss his complaint and be an active participant in its resolution I would encourage him to contact our Customer Service department at his earliest convenience. We trust this resolves [redacted] ’s complaint, and we ask that you notify us if it is not resolvedShould you have any questions regarding this or any other matter, please do not hesitate to contact this office at ###-###-####.Sincerely,Ed CSrManager, Customer Service

Thank you for your letter dated June 24, regarding Bryan ***I was sorry to hear that Mr. [redacted] felt that the decision to purchase his Vacation Program Agreement was a poor one, particularly when he feels that he was the victim of a “scam.” We vehemently and completely take exceptions to such assertions, and want to assure you that throughout our sales process it is one of our main priorities to ensure that all information is fully disclosed and that all of our customers are comfortable with their purchase. Mr***’s complaint to your office contains no specific complaints about the Vacation Program that he purchased (his letter to your office was sent the day after he made his purchase), so it is not possible for us to discuss the Program itselfOur records indicate that Mr [redacted] was successful in booking a reservation as part of our in-office sales process, so his claims that his Vacation Program was anything but legitimate seem to be less than validWith no actual experience to rely on, it seems likely that Mr. ***’s complaints were fueled by his awareness of the [redacted] Sundance Vacations page on [redacted] . This page has a well-documented history of dispensing “legal” advice to consumers that are looking to get out of their contractual obligations with Sundance Vacations, regardless of the pertinence or accuracy of that adviceWhile there is no record of Mr [redacted] posting on that page, it is the most likely source of the “proof” that led him to believe that he “fell for the scam.” Regardless of these facts, when we received your letter we had a representative from our Customer Service team contact Mr [redacted] in order to see if we could reach some sort of amicable resolution to this matterOur records indicate that after discussing this matter with Mr [redacted] on June 27, 2016, we agreed to cancel his Vacation Program Agreement and provide him with a full refundOur records indicate that he was pleased with this resolution. We trust this resolves the complaint and ask to be notified if it is not considered resolvedShould you have any questions regarding this or any other matter, please do not hesitate to contact this office at ###-###-####. [A default letter is provided here Revdex.com:Please be advised that I have agreed to the cancellation terms which Sundance Vacations offered, however, please make note that again they are only telling half truths and this is what disturbs me I am the one who contacted them on the 7th (they did not contact me) In fact, I called them twice that day, and when they told me that the person of whom I have been playing phone tag with was not available, I asked to speak to another representative At that time they told me that there was no one there that could help meNone the less, with persistance in wanting to resolve this issue, I said that I would like to get this resolved at that present time, and that too much of my time and Sundance Vacations time has been wasted to continue the phone messages etc I believe the gentlemans name was Bob and he asked me to hold at which time he got Jessica on the phone Within several minutes of speaking to her, my issue was resolved She is the one who should be patted on the back Give her the credit for resolving the issue.I would recommend that Sundance spend less time on orchestrating their letters to make them look like they go over board for their clients, and spend more time on getting their facts straight Their service was misrepresented and now the exaggerate on their letters too I am just glad to be done with them.Thank you for your follow up.Complaint ID [redacted] is resolved Regards, [redacted]

September 23, 2016Thank you for your letter dated September 14, regarding [redacted] I was sorry to hear that [redacted] felt that the details of his Express Travel Agreement were not adequately disclosedIt is never our intention to mislead clients, but rather one of our main priorities to ensure that all information is fully disclosed prior to any purchase taking placeWe strive to communicate, both verbally and in writing, all information in a manner that is easy to understand. In his letter to your office [redacted] claims that he was experiencing frustrations with our reservations process and was looking for relief from his AgreementOur records indicate that [redacted] had cancelled his Express Travel Agreement on October 22, due to the frustrations that he outlined in his letter to your officeAfter he had cancelled his package we had not heard from [redacted] until September 14, 2016, when he wrote his letter to your office and contacted our Customer Care team to discuss the possibility of reactivating his travel program. When we received your letter we had a representative from our Customer Care team contact [redacted] in order to see if we could reach some sort of amicable resolution to this matterOur records indicate that after discussing this matter with [redacted] on September 20, 2016, we agreed to reactivate [redacted] ’s Agreement, waive his service charges through October, 2017, and provide him with a refund that was both fair and equitableOur records indicate that he was pleased with this resolution. We trust this resolves the complaint and ask to be notified if it is not considered resolvedShould you have any questions regarding this or any other matter, please do not hesitate to contact this office at ###-###-####.Sincerely,Ed C.SrManager, Customer Service

[A default letter is provided here which indicates your acceptance of the business's response.? If you wish, you may update it before sending it.] Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me? Sundance Vacation Program agreed to cancel my account with themI'm in the process of waiting for a letter in the mail to confrim this cancelled agreement.Regards, [redacted] ***

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: The company provided me with three options.Option 1: To cancel my account and mark it as paid with no reimbursement and nothing for the money that I have paid them Options 2: Have my account marked as paid and get vacations for the money that we gave themThe company will continue to charge me a $annual fee for having the option to one day use the vacations which I do not want.Option 3: Keep as is paying the $/ month until it is paid in full and keep all the vacations.I requested that I talk this over with my husband first and Sandy told me I had the option to call her back in one hourAnother way of them trapping us into making a quick decisionAfter I said that an hour was unacceptable and I cannot make a decision in that time frame, the woman on the phone told me that there was nothing that she could doThe after a period of silence she said ok I guess we'll hear from you after the new yearThese three options are unacceptable I want to cancel my account and be reimbursed for what was paidNothing was ever usedI don't understand why this cannot be reimbursedI have never used any of the vacations and do not wish to continue to pay for themThe second and third are not an optionThe first option we do wish to cancel but how can a company keep money for something that was never usedI could understand if I used a vacation and owed the company money for that Regards, [redacted]
