[redacted] was very courteous and easy to talk to. He was very knowledge of the products and answered any questions He represented John Beal in a professional manner. I am satisfied with the finished product so much that I have asked John Beal to install windows for me.

We really appreciate the qualified and knowledgeable people who were most helpful in taking care of our roofing problem - namely Greg and Greg and Mile F[redacted]. We are happy with our new roof. Thank you very much.

Was locked into another roofer until I got info and assessment from Nick M[redacted].
Much more thorough than other reps from other companies. He showed the atvantages of Beal. Beal did a through Job including changes on install day to make the install correct. Would deffinelty reccommend Beal.

I just want to say that John Beal Roofing did an excellant job and were professional from start to finish. Luke K[redacted] was did the job I expected and solved a problem several other companies could not solve.
I highly recommend this company

Thanks also goes toes to Kim and John

Found Jonh beal to be a great choice for my roof replacement. The People were a pleasure to work with. Very quick and professional. Roof looks great and clean up was very good. Would definitely recommend for roof replacement.

Great job all around. From Bill M.(sales rep), Hector's hard working crew, excellent gutter work, to Greg B.(business manager); we were extremely pleased with a "job well done".

Revdex.com Complaint #[redacted] The leak at Mr. [redacted]’s home was in large part due to record breaking rain the days following Christmas day 2015. 8+ inches fell in the Greater St. Louis area and as a result the city experienced devastating floods to many communities. This was not a normal...

amount of rain and was an extreme weather event. Similar to rain totals during hurricanes. An act of God. Mr. [redacted]s’ home had experienced many rain events after JBI installed his new roof without ANY leaks. Mr. [redacted]s agreed to the terms and conditions on the back of JBI’s agreement and by doing so agreed not to hold JBI responsible for consequential damages. A signature on the agreement confirms that this was read and agreed to by Mr. [redacted]s. Mr. [redacted]s even requested that the terms and conditions be altered. We have made many offers to Mr. [redacted]s without any success. Even offering to have other areas in his home painted that were not as a result of JBI workmanship. JBI feels this was above and beyond and more than fair offer for settlement. There was so much rain in fact that Mr. [redacted]s’ home experienced leaks in his chimney due to the chimney’s mortar needing repair. We have reached out to Mr. [redacted]s via email to review quotes he is receiving for the damage to his living room. He stated he has not yet received these quotes. Once he submits the quotes to JBI, we will review them and see if they are consistent with the damage inspected and documented by JBI . In order to make sure both parties are not taken advantage of, JBI will be using Xactimate software as a standard in determining costs. Xactimate is a property estimating program designed for claims adjusters, contractors, and insurance carriers. Adjusters are able to key in the type and quantity of material damaged for a particular claim, and using a built-in price list (one for every county in the United States). This is the same software that would probably be used by JBI’s insurance company if JBI decides to turn this claim over to our insurance carrier. We have been trying to expedite Mr. [redacted]s’ claim for damages and mitigate this ourselves. Mr. [redacted]s was offered this solution prior to him filing a Revdex.com complaint. JBI cannot accept, agree to any terms or compensate Mr. [redacted]s until bids are reviewed and checked against the going rate of what an insurance company would pay out for labor and material. We also feel that using Xactimate to determine what compensation is the ONLY fair and honest way for both the homeowner and JBI. JBI cannot agree to a BLANK CHECK. After a fair dollar amount has been agreed to, JBI suggests paying contractors of Mr. [redacted]s’ choice directly to avoid any unjust enrichment opportunities. In Mr. [redacted]s’ Revdex.com Complaint Desired Settlement he wishes to have JBI “Verify in writing that obligations of my roof warranty are met regarding my complaints”. JBI already has repaired any workmanship issues that were found. Mr. [redacted]s already knows this. We have not received any communication from Mr. [redacted]s about any new leaks. If Mr. [redacted]s would like a copy of his warranty mailed out to him again to read the terms he agreed to we would be more than happy to do that. He also asks for cost comparison for different vents different from vents that are currently installed. JBI chooses not to do any new or future business with Mr. [redacted]s so we will not be providing those prices to him. Mr. [redacted]s also makes reverences in his desired settlement for JBI to “train employees in providing good workmanship in installing a roof and flashing” and to “develop a process to ensure quality checks.” JBI is an industry leader and one of the largest in the Midwest, having installed thousands and thousands or roofs without issues. JBI has and does perform ongoing training to all of its employees. Warranties are not guarantees that nothing will ever happen in the life of a product rather that if something does happen, the company will be there to correct it. The good thing for Mr. [redacted]s, he contracted with JBI, a reputable company. JBI stands by its warranties and did so in this case. JBI feels that they have gone above and beyond in its attempt to make Mr. [redacted]s happy. This is the first time in the company’s history that an offer to perform more work was offered to the customer only to have the customer file a Revdex.com complaint and requests less be done.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: A professional company does not stall or delay a customer from receiving a refund.  The price of the roofing went up several times after work started.  I am an unsatisfied ex-customer of John Beal.  I do have the right to contact the Revdex.com and to file a complaint.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

These guys are good. From Greg B. the scheduler, to the crew who were professional, hard working, considerate and neat. Bill [redacted] was right there making sure everything was OK. If you watch these guys work, you will be satisfied. And if all you do is hire these guys and just show up when the job is done, you will still be satisfied. I shopped price, and they had the best bid. I am a rehabber and these guys are on my approved list.

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 13, 2015/11/20) */
We feel we have done what we needed to do and promptly repaired the leak. The customer has been made whole for interior damages by being paid by the insurance company to have the interior repaired.
We have received confirmation from the...

customer's insurance provider that they have been paid to have their interior work completed by whom ever they choose.
Asking John Beal Inc. to repair the damages at no charge would not be fair for JBI or the insurance company that paid out the claim.
We will be sending out a check today to cover the customer's deductible.
JBI considers this complaint to be closed.

Very professional from start to finish. 10 Star to Carl S[redacted] & Mark P[redacted].

John Beal will be highly recommend by my husband and Myself. Carl S[redacted] and Greg B[redacted] were very helpful and we appreciate doing business with them. Also a big "thank you" to Bella and her crew for working so hard.

Our sales Rep was Nate [redacted].
Everyone at John Beal Inc. has been great to work with.
They were very concise, and clear.
They performed all the work flawlessly...roof, siding and gutters.
The crew did a great job of cleaning up and left the premises in perfect order.
I appreciate their fine work and will recommend them to everyone who needs a new roof.

Clean, polite workers. Very helpful. Questions asked were well answered. Left yard clean.

Complete roof replacement in Chesterfield, MO. Very good experience. Staff was thorough and professional. Sales rep Jeff H[redacted] a pleasure to work with. Business manager Greg B[redacted] - top notch!

Had a great experience with John Beal roofing company. My roofing expert Mark [redacted] was extremely helpful and wonderful helping with planning and to make sure all went well with the insurance claim.
Greg [redacted] in the business department was tremendous, and extremely helpful also.
I would highly recommend John Beal to any one considering a new roof, gutters, or home improvements.

Everyone we met was on time, courteous, knowledgeable and professional. All phases of the project understood before signing the agreement to go forward. The city of Ballwin roofing requirements and our special needs for flashing & water & ice shield around the chimney easily explained and implemented. Nate, Greg and Jay all performed their responsibilities at the highest level. Grateful for their high standards.

10 years ago, John Beale put a new roof on our house. It was to be a 25 year roof. Within the first few months after the new roof was finished, we had to have John Beale come out and fix the roof over our garage not once, but three times. A few years after that, they had to come out again for a different leak. At that time, the salesman told us tthe roof had been faultiily installed. We reminded him that his company had installed the roof. He advised not to touch the roof because it wasn't leaking where the fault was. Now we are experiencing a major failure of the roof which may well cost us in the tens of thousands of dollars to repair, including interior damage. Only a portion of the roof is leaking, but with the current failures, I fear the entire roof will have to be replaced. I would not have John Beale on my premises in a hundred years. Apparently insurance will not pay for the damage because of the faulty installation of the roof. We will have to bear the entire brunt of the cost of fixing our less than ten year roof.

It is our policy that all agreements and contracts be reviewed by a manager or officer of the company before the agreement or contract be approved. This job was reviewed and rejected by JBI.  We immediately return the deposit check to customer on 11/2/2016.  This complaint was made on...

12/9/2016, over one month after Mrs. [redacted] was refunded their check. At the time the consumer made this complaint, they were not a customer and JBI had not agreed to do any work.  I feel this should be rejected because they were not an actual customer. Please advise if I need to reply to this complaint through the online portal. [redacted]General Manager
