We contacted John Beal Incorporated to replace our roof due to hail damage. The Sales Rep Nate was awesome, the best we talked too out of 3 companies. Very professional, prompt service. The work crew was great and cleaned up after the job was done. The roof looks great!

The John Beal crew did a wonderful job. I could not be more impressed with their work! They worked so very hard in the 95 degree heat with the sun absolutely beating them to death. I highly recommend John Beal Roofing. - Jim H[redacted] Creve Coeur Missouri.

We were very satisfied with the work and materials. All the workers were very courteous. Rich Downey and Greg Reatels were very professional in assisting us in making decisions on what needed to be done.

John Beal Inc. just completed installation of my new roof. They also did some repairs to the cedar shingle siding and dormer fascia.
Bill M[redacted] was the salesman and my initial contact with John Beal. He was so knowledgeable and professional. He explained every aspect of the job and wrote a very competitive bid.
The roofers themselves were like a machine. I have never seen such hard workers. There was never any chit-chat......I don't think they ever took a break. All the work was done very efficiently.
The heart of the team was Jason V[redacted]. He organized the entire project and did all the finish work......so meticulous. When I thought something didn't look quite right or was misaligned, he fixed it immediately, even finishing up on a Saturday. I hope that Sam M, the general manager takes good care of Jason because he made the whole job work. He stayed in touch with me when there were weather or other work delays and was so incredibly careful with the repairs, even using some of my spare cedar shingles. I trusted him completely.
Finally, the clean-up was extremely thorough......no nails on the driveway and at the very end they even cleaned my gutters.
Anyone reading this review, do yourself a favor and call John Beal.

It is our policy that all agreements and contracts be reviewed by a manager or officer of the company before the agreement or contract be approved. This job was reviewed and rejected by JBI.  We immediately return the deposit check to customer on 11/2/2016.  This complaint was made on...

12/9/2016, over one month after Mrs. [redacted] was refunded their check. At the time the consumer made this complaint, they were not a customer and JBI had not agreed to do any work.  I feel this should be rejected because they were not an actual customer. Please advise if I need to reply to this complaint through the online portal.

I recently had a new roof installed by John Beal Inc. I am so pleased with the job they did. And my salesman, Nick M[redacted] was so nice to work with. He met with myself and the gentleman purchasing my house. He was so informative and helpful. When I paid my balance, and set up the guarantee the gentleman I dealt with, Greg B[redacted] was equally helpful. I would highly recommend this company to anyone needing roofing done.

This message is for customer's, but mostly MR. JOHN BEAL! Where do I begin. This journey with this company started with roofing, perfect. Then siding, gutters, and facia. I picked a special order color that had not been used before, no problem, you must wait for what you want. My gratitude is overwhelming. The crew Rich, Richie and Denis were amazing. These guys were polite, truthful and knowledgable. If you MR.BEAL have not met this crew and shook their hands, now is the time. You are big and we can never be too humble to be grateful to those that make us big. You should be thanking them, because they are the ones who make your business a success. This is a thankless job and I am sure most people complain and don't really value the hard work these guys do! I hope you get more customers like me who get it! Then there is Mr. Lynn B[redacted], what a great asset to your company. If it were not for him I may not have chosen you. A gentle, professional, positive man! Kudos to him and I hope you Mr. John Beal truly know how grateful you should be to have him. I needed a new roof after about 26 years with the old one, John Beal not only did a good job, but they had their supervisor checking on the job many times during installation. Their price was on the same level as my other quotes, but it was the peace of mind that the job was done right. There are many roofing company's in St. Louis, and I am sure they will do a good job, but I think John Beal will go above and beyond to make sure the job is done right and you are happy with the end result. It is a company that is here today and here tomorrow, their people care that the job is right Starting with my salesman Jeff H[redacted] all the way through the clean up nothing but excellent work. You can not go wrong with them, quality shows from start to finish.

We feel we have done what we needed to do and promptly repaired the leak. The customer has been made whole for interior damages by being paid by the insurance company to have the interior repaired.
We have received confirmation from...

the customer's insurance provider that they have been paid to have their interior work completed by whom ever they choose.
Asking John Beal Inc. to repair the damages at no charge would not be fair for JBI or the insurance company that paid out the claim.
We will be sending out a check today to cover the customer's deductible.
JBI considers this complaint to be closed.

I would recommend John Beal Inc. to anyone looking for a new roof. From my first meeting with the estimator Mr. Bill M[redacted] I was impressed. Mr. M[redacted] walked us through the process from start to finish, explaining everything in detail. He was also present when our insurance adjuster came to access the damage. I can't say enough good things about Mr. M[redacted] or John Beal Inc. They treated our home and property as if it were their own!!!
I would also like to thank Mr. Gregory B[redacted] for getting our final paperwork to us quickly, so that we can finalize the process with our insurance company.

We built our house in Swansea, IL 5 ½ years ago. During the last storm (50mph + winds) we found roof shingles on our lawn from many of the neighboring homes. I call John Beal Roofing to assess our roof and see if there was any damage. I asked them if they were John Beal employees or sub-contractors. I was told that John Beal Roofing doesn’t use contractors and only provides their own employees.

After their inspection, about 15 minutes) I was told that our roof was okay and did not need anything. How refreshing it is to have an honest assessment.

The problem was resolved to everyones satisfaction and was not related to John Beals work on my roof. The manufacturers product was the problem and the John Beal people were very helpful.
Gregory B[redacted] got us a copy of our roof order for insurance purposes.

Working with John Beal was a good experience. I had two estimates in the middle of September. They were not big different. When I searched the customer reviews online. Another company had fewer reviews, but most of them were positive, so I really preferred to it. But during the communication about the contract, John Beal’s sales representative Nate really impresses me with his honesty and patience. I feel John Beal Company can be trusted.

About two weeks later after the contract was signed, a new roof was put on my home. The workers were very nice. The inspectors were very nice. Thank Nate! I was happy with my choice.

All this hiding behind your warranty when we never wanted anything for free. Yes, I called...

for legal advise on the matter but decided not to go the route as the bill could have surpassed the amount needed to fix. But when I brought up I was trying to protect my family though legal means the manager became very very very upset. Now all I did was call to find out what they could do to help us out. He started off with legal jargon. So I'm no lawyer so I called one. Never asked for anything for free. Just to get my flashing fixed.
As for the tech coming back out after our complaint that the job was not up to our standard nor should be up to theirs. It was 4 days after the work. Where I thought I sent e-mails with pics of the job. But for some reason they didn't sent. They are still in my e-mail account. John Beal inc sent the same tech to inspect his own sub par job. Really the same tech is going to see a problem with this own work. So I asked for a different tech to come out. He did later that evening which was very nice of him. Told us the work was "sub par" at best. He came out when he could and he looked like some one that knows what they are doing was on our roof.
As for the roofer with no pride in your work. I can send you pics and I'd ask you if you would want that on your house. And yes we are not roofers but we had another roofing professional on our roof before John Beal inc made the fixes we paid for. He had never ever seen anything like it. Then after the work was done you didn't need to be a professional to see how bad it was in my opinion of coarse. If you would like pictures I have them and you can form your own opinion. "Sub par at best".
I hope that you are not saying that I am campaigning against John Beal Inc. I don't care about that company at all. Nothing, if someone was to ask me if I know of any good roofers. I wouldn't bring up John Beal at all. I would simple state no I don't.
As for the refund it was almost Christmas and New Years we wouldn't have had it fixed in time for the flooding rains we got between those Holidays. Thank goodness I am smart enough to just say do it right. I will not accept this response because I have a vendetta but simply you have bullied us for the last time. By calling us liars. I'm sorry you feel the need to attack customers that don't agree with you.

I give this company an A+. They were extremely efficient, hard-working, and clean. I have a beautiful new roof that makes me feel safe and secure in my home. The crew was really a wonderful bunch of guys that truly knew their stuff. I had a great experience and definitely feel this company is worth doing business with. They are honest and good for their word. That is the most important feature with a company, as well as working hard and doing a great job.

The job was completed satisfactorily, however we did feel the pricing was a bit high for the time spent.
