I spoke with Mr [redacted] this afternoon and he provided the model numbers which were needed to complete his claimHe understands the replacements will arrive in approximately weeks

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and I accept it This is a provisional acceptance Chris from Kidde [redacted] called me on December 'on my cell phone He said he could not find the original "confirmation number" that Kidde gave me in the current data base! He reentered the information on the three recalled Kidde Fire Extinguishers I have and provided me with a new "confirmation number", [redacted] ** He indicated the replacement Fire Extinguishers would take about days to ship Chris was very apologetic and professional on the phone I have every confidence he correctly re-entered the replacement order The reason this is a "provisional" acceptance is I do not have the replacement Fire Extinguishers yetPerhaps in about three weeks they will arrive Note: about years ago I had a house fire and a Kidde Fire Extinguisher saved my home!

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and I accept it I very much appreciated the direct contact from Eric W***, Kidde While my problem has been frustrating, he was very patient and very helpful He is a skilled 'customer service' representative who was able to make me 'feel better' by the end of the call Notwithstanding the resolution of my issue, I still and concerned that Kidde advises a business day replacement which they now tell me, due to 'out of stock' issues will be months For a safety device that is possibly dangerous in and of itself, this is unacceptable I believe that Kidde should have issued coupons for customers to use to obtain replacements from [redacted] ***, for example, without having to wait for them to process and ship the replacements which apparently has been a problem

I am rejecting this response because: The new customer service lead on my case first said she was reordering them for a 5th time Shortly after I got an e-mail that she sent AUTO/MARINE extinguishers Fed Ex I just received them and, ONCE AGAIN, they are general purpose, not Auto/Marine I was told by one of their other reps who ordered these twice for me, that I cannot use a general purpose extinguisher on a car fire They are formulated differently, and this kind can destroy the engine She specifically said I need an Auto/Marine extinguisher, which is what I purchased back in August By the way, the fire department also told me the autos are different I expect that my 1/back order for AUTO/MARINE extinguishers will be delivered to me, not reordered AGAIN

WE HAVE CALLED AND EMAILED *** AND WE WILL SHIP HER UNIT OUT IN 10-BUSINESS DAYS

This request has been forwarded to our product support group in an effort to reach out to this customer and resolve this issue

I spoke to *** to inform her that the units shipped on the December 13th, we are going to allow a few more days for the units to arrive

The consumer received a called from one of our representatives who explained the difference between the models in his home and what is being sold in the storesAfter trouble shooting the unit we are going to send a replacement unit which he will receive within 7-business days

We are going to honor this request by sending a replacement which will arrive by FedEx within to business days

I spoke with Mr*** this morning he is going to email with the model numbers, serial numbers and date of MFG for the extinguishers so that I can place an order on his behalf to get his replacements sent out

I am rejecting this response because:
On 2/5/18, I first spoke to a MrVaughn G***, of "Kidde Safety", who called me
from *** *** option 5, ext#***. MrG*** said he'd send me (2) Kidde Carbon Monoxide units at no cost. I explained to him during our call that I'd bought (2) brand new Kidde Carbon Monoxide units on 1/10/18, to replace my Night Hawk carbon monoxide unit that went "nuts" in our home. He said how the units he'd send me would be good for years. I explained to him that I JUST BOUGHT TWO KIDDE units and don't need any more. He said that's all he can do. I did ask him to reimburse me for the $I paid for these units and he replied: "It'll take MONTHS for us to issue you a check". I have the original receipt for the units I purchased, I have the receipt from the USPS showing that NIGHTHAWK in Melbane, NC received my defective unit on January 8, @10:46am costing me $postage. I asked MrG*** since I have a USPS confirmation of delivery why don't they have the NIGHTHAWK unit I sent them? He said that Kidde bought NIGHTHAWK, so the package I sent to NIGHTHAWK probably went in the trash! What an outfit! On February 5, 2018, I faxed MrG*** (9) pages of all the information he'd requested and would gladly send same to Revdex.com.Thank you so much. Mr*** ** *** *** ***
