I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and I accept it.“The business clearly stated that they sent you the smallest unit that they have. Since you do not want the brackets that fit the new unit, there is nothing further that Revdex.com can do to assist at this time.”I would appreciate if Kidde could send a new bracket to fit the extinguisher. I will bring it to the dealership to see if it can be mounted in the van. I am quite sure I did not write that I did not want the bracket. My primary concern is the size. If Kidde refuses to replace the extinguisher with the same size then I have no other option than to try and see if this works in conjunction with the staff at the dealership - the van is still under warranty.Please let me know if this email to you is sufficient or is I need to go through the Revdex.com site and resubmit.Thanks so much,[redacted]

A voicemail was left for Mr. [redacted]. We are going to send him a prepaid label to his email address. We are requesting the return of the product and purchase receipt. Once they are received we will process a refund per his request.

The recall center has been contacted and made aware of the complaint. I've also issued a request to have a unit send out at no charge which should arrive with 7-10 business days. Thanks,Chris

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and I accept it, if I receive the extinguisher within 7 days as the email said.  I received the email on 1/29 and still don't have the extinguisher (on 2/3).

A email and voicemail has been sent to John requesting the model number, serial number and date of MFG for the impacted units. Once this information has bee received we will process this request.

This message has been forwarded to a member of the product support team. A call or email will be sent today to respond to his question.

order has been placed to ship consumer 3 units in 10-15 business day. the consumer has been emailed this information as well.

I am going to have someone to contact  him and provide this manual for his unit.

I am rejecting this response because:
Kidde sent a new fire extinguisher that is even larger than the replacement. Obviously this does not fit either. I am again requesting a smaller size that is the original size of the fire extinguisher that came with my purchase.

voice mail message and subsequently the CS representative and I have been communicating via email and attempting to resolve the issue.  At this juncture, the company indicates that I have adequately supported my claim and they are sending a replacement fire extinguisher, per the recall program.  However, they once again indicate that expected receipt will be in about 20 days and I cannot close this matter until actual receipt, since the last time they indicated a 20-day receipt was over 90 days ago and never received.

I have reached out to Roger to inform him we are going to send the requested replacement unit.

W[redacted], Kidde.  While my problem has been frustrating, he was very patient and very helpful.  He is a skilled 'customer service' representative who was able to make me 'feel better' by the end of the call.   Notwithstanding the resolution of my issue, I still and concerned that Kidde advises a 20 business day replacement which they now tell me, due to 'out of stock' issues will be 3 months.  For a safety device that is possibly dangerous in and of itself, this is unacceptable.   I believe that Kidde should have issued coupons for customers to use to obtain replacements from [redacted], for example, without having to wait for them to process and ship the replacements which apparently has been a problem.

I have reached out to [redacted] to inform him that we are going to send 3 units. These units will ship within 7-10 business.

 Chris from Kidde [redacted] called me on 18 December '17 on my cell phone.  He said he could not find the original "confirmation number" that Kidde gave me in the current data base!  He reentered the information on the three recalled Kidde Fire Extinguishers I have and provided me with a new "confirmation number", [redacted].  He indicated the replacement Fire Extinguishers would take about 15 days to ship.   Chris was very apologetic and professional on the phone.  I have every confidence he correctly re-entered the replacement order.  The reason this is a "provisional" acceptance is I do not have the replacement Fire Extinguishers yet. Perhaps in about three weeks they will arrive.  Note: about 15 years ago I had a house fire and a Kidde Fire Extinguisher saved my home!

I spoke with customer she understands her items are currently in backordered status and it will be another 4 weeks before the units are shipped. She explained that she will not be closing her case until the units arrive.

We will reach out to consumer today and get unit shipped ASAP.

I am rejecting this response because: I have no way, or place, to mount a bracket. I would like the same size of the original extinguisher for my van.
