At La Crème Skin Care, every customer is given the option to try their first 30 day supply...

without charge for 10 days after receiving their order. During the 10 days, if the customer is not satisfied with their product, they are to contact customer service via phone or email with a notice of cancellation and the product must be postmarked for return within those 10 days. If the customer keeps their 30 day supply after 10 days from the date of delivery, they are automatically billed for the product and then billed and shipped a new 30 day supply every 30 days thereafter. The customer has the ability to cancel at any time by calling customer service or emailing [redacted]. If a customer needs to contact customer service, the phone number is listed on [redacted], the product, the pamphlet that arrives with their order, and the package the product is shipped in. The terms are disclosed clearly on [redacted] where the customer would have ordered the product. The customer also has to click “I agree to the terms and conditions” twice before the order is processed. If the customer does not click the box to agree with the terms, the order will not process. The terms and conditions are disclosed directly on the ordering website, at the bottom of the first page, and also highlighted in a large white box on the second page where the customer inputs their billing information, as well as sent out with the product. The customer placed the order on 12/14/14. This is when they paid the initial $4.95 for shipping and handling and this began the trial period to sample from the initial 30 day supply they were sent. Since there was no notification of a request for cancellation and/or a returned product during the allotted time, the customer was automatically billed for the 30 day supply on 01/04/15 as explained in the terms and conditions which they agreed to. The monthly membership recurred on 02/03/15 for the retail price of $87.63. The consumer contacted La Crème Skin Care on 02/08/15 with a request for cancellation. The account was cancelled immediately as instructed and the customer was sent a cancellation confirmation via email. Based on the nature of the call, the customer service agent refunded the amount of $87.63 from 02/08/15 that day. The consumer accepted this compromise on a recorded phone call and the account was considered cancelled. Once a refund is processed, it takes 3-7 business days for it to be credited back to the customer’s account.
We have refunded the remainder of the amount, $87.63 from 01/04/15, due to this complaint, however we stand by our policies and we would like to reiterate that our customers accept the terms and conditions two separate times to process their order. The consumer placed the order on 08/05/14. This is when they paid the initial $4.95 and this began the 14 day trial period to sample from the initial 30 day supply. The consumer contacted our company on 09/15/14 with a request for cancellation, as they stated the item was delivered outside of the trial period. The consumer was issued the refund of $4.95 on 03/12. We have notes detailing that the supervisor, [redacted] replied to the original complaint, and then contacted and left a detailed voice mail on 04/14 regarding the refund of $4.95 and the free product. She was not required to return it, and we believed the complaint had been completely resolved.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.
I reject this response from Le Crème because when I placed my order, I did not see any mention of being charged the full amount after 14 days (the print may have been so small that I did not see it).
As of today's date, I have only received one(1) shipment from this company and that was from the initial order which should have only cost me $4.95; yet they have tried to charge my account three (3) different times. When I placed my original order, I did not see any mention of being charged the full amount if I did not cancel after 14 days. I never participate in promotions that require you to cancel within a certain amount of time or risk being charged every month from them on. If you could see the history of my bank account you would see that I never get involved with companies that practice these deceptive tactics. If there were conditions tied to ordering from a company like this, I feel the print should be next to the SUBMIT box and not some small print that could easily be overlooked.

The recurring monthly membership processed on 12/31/14 and again on 01/30/15. The consumer has not made any attempt to contact La Crème Skin Care with a request for cancellation. We even checked our e-mail records, and there are no e-mails from the consumer's account: [redacted]. This is the first attempt we have received to cancel, or that she was dissatisfied with our product/services. The account has been cancelled as instructed and the customer was sent a cancellation confirmation via email.
As we are invested in customer service we have refunded the two charges of $87.63 due to this complaint, however we stand by our policies and we would like to reiterate that our customers accept the terms and conditions two separate times to process their order. Revdex.com:
RE: Complaint ID [redacted]
First, since I did request a full refund from this company and they have agreed to do this, then on that point I have to agree that, as soon as I see the credit in my account,, then, yes,  they did solve that part of my complaint.
However, I am disheartened to see this company continuing to rubber stamp the same old response to every complaint lodged against them. It just shows how disconnected they are from the market and where their true goals are. Unfortunately, there are so many people out here who may not realize the courses of actions available to them to fight for their rights who have lost their money to these people. And yes, maybe they do print this info inside their packages; however, speaking to this company's character, as I stated over and over in my communication with them, I was tending to a very sick relative who had just passed away last week (could even send the hospital bills etc to the death certificate if they wanted me to prove all these things) and had not had any time to even open the packages..... seriously, I have mail piled high since this was a sudden thing..... but there was not one sympathetic person at all at this company.... not one person. Whereas I haven't had any problems anywhere else. So that in nutshell, told me a lot about what this company is all about. We were talking about a total of $175 and change. And nothing...... not even a "I'm sorry you were having to deal with that but....."
So in conclusion, this company's "dittoed" statement has only solidified the fact that they will continue to hide behind these "terms of agreements" hidden words......trapping people and enjoying running to the bank with all these people's money.... and justify all they want.... I just ask if it was their grandmother or great aunt, would they still stand behind these terms and say well ya should of read all the terms and understood them all and you're just out of luck now.
As for me, I'm done. However, word of mouth is the KING of marketing..... so I encourage all those with complaints..... PLEASE talk talk talk.... because my mouth will never stop talking about LA CREME SKIN CARE ..... STAY AWAY!!!!
Thank you Revdex.com for your help with this issue. I will definitely wait to see if LaCreme follows through and actually does credit ALL my money back....... Wouldn't it be something if they did a public apology and changed their terms to a true 30 day trial FREE sample and IF you liked it you could then call to order a bottle??? Yeah.... we can all dream...... HA!
Regards,

This is not a review of the product. It is a VERY STRONG COMPLAINT ABOUT THEIR BUSINESS.
A 14-day trial coupled with automatic new supply and exorbitant billing is a SCAM.
When I complained and asked for a refund I was politely told that this was impossible. I also wonder if the celebrities whose names are associated with the advertising REALLY did give their endorsement. If not - that is another SCAM.
SO - WHAT CAN BE DONE ABOUT THIS???

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.  I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.
The company, La Creme Skin Care, is still insisting that it
was consumers’ fault if they didn’t know this was not a free trial.  Don't they know that they are hurting
themselves more by doing so?  I have
asked for a refund by contacting them directly, and by disputing the charge
through the bank (credit card).  Of
course La Crème thinks if you took the bait it's your own fault.  The bank is still reviewing the dispute and it will take many months.  Only Revdex.com
of San Diego treats all consumers with the highest priority, acted quickly for me,
and had this resolved.  So thank you so
much, Revdex.com!

At La Creme every customer is given the right to try their first 30 day supply without charge for the first 14 days. After the 14 day trial period, if the customer is unsatisfied with their...

product, they are to return the remainder postmarked for return within their 14 day trial period and also contact customer service to notify a request for cancellation. If the customer keeps their 30 day supply after the 14 days, they are automatically billed for their product on the 15th day and then automatically shipped  and billed a product every 30 days thereafter. The customer has the ability to cancel at anytime by calling customer service or emailing [email protected]. If a customer needs to contact customer service, the phone number is listed on lacremeskincare.com, the product, the pamphlet, and the package the product is shipped in. The terms are disclosed clearly on lacremeskincare.com where the customer would have ordered their product. The customer has to also click "I agree to the terms and conditions"  twice before the order is processed. If the customer does not "agree" to the terms, the order will not process. The terms and conditions are disclosed directly on the ordering website  not only on the bottom of the first page, but also highlighted in a large white box on the second page where the customer inputs their card information as well as sent out with the product. The consumer placed the order on 04/04/14. This is when they paid the initial $4.95 and this began the 14 day trial period to sample from the initial 30 day supply. Since there was no notification of a request for cancellation and/or a returned product during the allotted trial period, the consumer was automatically billed for the 30 day supply on 04/19/14 as explained in the terms and conditions for which they agreed to. The consumer contacted our company on 04/23/14 with a request for cancellation. The account was canceled immediately as instructed and they were sent a confirmation email confirming the cancellation. The call ended amicably and the account was considered completely closed. As we are fully invested in customer service we will issue the full refund of $87.63 applied on 04/19/14. The refund will take three to seven business days to process and the consumer will receive an e-mail confirmation to verify this. Although the consumer visited our website and agreed to the terms, we will make this exception.

Like many others I was a victim of unethical advertising. " Free 14 day trial," did not read the fine print. Shortly after I responded to the ad took a two week trip overseas
My credit card was charged $87.63 during my absence, of which I was unaware. On June 15 a parcel was delivered by USPS to my residence, sent by this co. from San Diego. CA. I was surprised, did some checking, found the there was a charge of $87.63 against my credit card on June 10. Also the prior charge of which I had been unaware. Contacted my bank after unsuccessful attempts to phone this company to dispute the charges
I took the unopened package yesterday to USPS for return by priority 2day mail, certified, with receipt It is in transit, due delivery Thursday, June18. I provided all details including tracking number, by email
The response from this company is it will refund me $87.63 AFTER it receives the package...extremely odd buusiness practice... It charged my card June 10, the merchandise was delivered 5 days later... I returned the same unopened package, using the same USPS , due to arrive within 2 days, CERTIFIED. With insurance, and I can only EXPECT a refund some time in the future
What is the opninion of Revdex.com?
Incidentally there is another outfit named Bellalabs practicing the identical scams as
Lacreme skin care.
Both are sleazy outfits preying on innocent customers

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

This is a generic response to my complaint. I did not say I was suppose to receive a "free" bottle. I did however expect to be charged as promised the $1.99 to try the product. I was very clear with the salesman that I DID not want auto shipments of this product. I did not contact La Creme or show interest in this product. I was called after ordering a product from Bella Labs. I was promised no auto shipments from Bella Labs and that is exactly what I got.

The Customer Service Rep that called me in reference to my original complaint was incredibly demeaning, antagonistic,  and insulted me on more than one level. She insinuated she was doing me a favor by refunding me half of the amount I was charged and then explained to me I had a dead line for the postmark on the returned bottle because there are no "free" bottles. I refused the shipment when delivered an told her it was on it's way back to her to which she replied " you were not authorized to return the product." WHAT?!? I have never been talked to like a child or an it in my adult life until now.

I am the consumer, and I was told one thing and delivered another then treated as if it were my fault and told I did agree to the terms when I did not. Why I would be okay with auto shipments on one product and not another defies logic and common sense. Basically they got the money and found a way to hold on to part of it. In lay terms, that's a scam.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.  I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.
Thank you for your assistance.
