La Creme Skin Care Reviews (361)

Review: On May 22,2014 , I ordered a trial offer of La Crème skin cream for the price of $4.95. I was led to believe I had 14 days to use the product before deciding to keep it or not and to contact them of my decision. I tried calling on 6/4/2014 to cancel my trial , to return unused portion. All you get is a recording when you try to contact them. I tried several times. I sent an email, at that time they informed me that I was already billed the $4.95 and an additional $87.63 for the product sent. The 14 days is from the time the product is shipped, I did not receive the product until 5/30/2014.. Who in their right mind would pay this amount for something you can try for 4 days? How can you tell if it works in that amount of time? A reputable business gives at least 30-60 days to try their product. I have emailed them several times with no recourse. I want my credit card credited for the $87.63 + $4.95.Desired Settlement: A refund of $ 92.58 credited to my credit card.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

Hello,

My complaint #[redacted]. I have received a credit from Lacreme skin care in the amount of $4.95. I am in shock. I sent an email stating I want the total amount of $92.58 they charged, credited to my credit card . This was in my email I previously sent to the company.

I am just giving you an update on situation, and I appreciate your helping to resolve this and making these businesses stop ripping people off.

Thank you, [redacted] ###-###-####

Response:

Per the previous response our company sent, the csutomer has already been refunded in full. There are no further charges associated with the account that we can refund. The charge of $4.95 as well as $87.63 have both been refunded as of 6/16/14.

Review: I ordered la creme skin care product and paid shipping and handling fee of $4.95 for them to send a full 30 day supply of La Crème to me. I discovered through a friend who also ordered this product that she was billed an additional $ 87.63 automatically after 30-days and when she called to cancel she was unable to recover the charge on her credit card. I immediately emailed and called La creme @ ###-###-#### to cancel any future orders and that I do not authorize any future charges to my credit card. I received and email back stating that the company would cancel the order if I returned the product to them at my cost or I could keep the product and have my credit card billed 43.82 to keep the creme. I have included that email below:

At this time you are within your 14-day trial of the 30-day product supply. You have the option of returning the remainder of the product back for a full cancellation or keeping it for the 50% discounted rate of $43.82 and cancelling everything further. For either of these options, please reply to this e-mail or call customer service during our regular business hours.

[redacted]Desired Settlement: I would like to keep the creme I paid 4.95 for and not pay any additional fees to keep the creme or a fee to return the product of which I have yet to open or try because of the extra charges to my credit card.

The consumer contacted our company on 03/10 with a request for cancellation. The account was canceled immediately as instructed and they were sent a confirmation email confirming the cancellation. Based on the nature of the correspondence, the customer service agent refunded the charge of $4.95 on that same day. The consumer would have received an e-mail confirmation of the cancellation and refund. The refund will take three to seven business days to credit back. The original bottle is not offered as free or for the charge of $4.95, that charge is for the shipping and handling to receive the item for the 14-day trial period.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

I appreciate you reversing the charge, but it has not yet been posted to my account. I will return the product at the companies expense and not my own, I believe you have false advertising and I am not the first person to have complained about your company and the way you advertise your product. You are not providing a good product or good service for anyone who has the misfortune of having to correspond with your company. Again, I do not wish to be charged for this product and I will return the product that I have not even opened or used if you send a prepaid slip via email.

The consumer was issued the refund of $4.95 on 03/12. We have notes detailing that the supervisor, [redacted] replied to the original complaint, and then contacted and left a detailed voice mail on 04/14 regarding the refund of $4.95 and the free product. She was not required to return it, and we believed the complaint had been completely resolved.

Review: I was lured into a "free 14 day trial" for La Creme wrinkle cream and bella labs facial cream. Both these creams are marketed and advertised together however they claim to be different companies and make you go through double the work when trying to get a handle on the scam that they are performing. I ordered the "free 14 day trial" and was led to believe that the only thing you have to pay for is the $4.95 shipping and handling fee. Unfortunately when you provide your credit card, you also check a terms and conditions box that signs you up for a very expensive subscription and also you pay $87.63 for this supposed "free trial." When I received the two packages today of creams that I did not order, I called the company and was informed that I signed up and was charged not only for the first "free" bottle but for the bottle they just sent to me. After much dispute over the phone the representative agreed to refund the last charge on 3/13 of 87.63 However I believe that I should receive a refund for the $87.63 that I was charged on 2/12 as I was led to believe it was Free. There is no way on earth I would have entertained this product had I know I was going to be responsible for paying $87.63!! What a shady business. Why not just be upfront and clear instead of taking advantage of people and being misleading, if you're product is really that good, you would have nothing to worry about right?!Desired Settlement: Please refund my $87.63 from 2/12 and 3/13.

Review: went into website to order a free sample of this product. after going through many pages of questions they put in fine print that I was signing up for a monthly supply of the product and not a sample. The website is very misleading and I received my 3rd shipment of the product and started feeling it was not right. The first I wrote off as the sample and the second my husband opened and then another bottle arrived while we were out of town for a week and I opened it yesterday.

I also received another jar of the product. (all jars are unopened and sealed still.

My credit card bill arrived today and there was a charge for $87.63 for the last jar I received. (unfortunately I didn't check my last two bills bery carefully or this would have been stopped before another $175 was taken out of my credit card account.

The response I received when I told LACREME to stop sending product they said OK but too bad on the product I had received because I had agreed (again in very small print) to the monthly shipment of this product.

I just wanted to launch a complaint that their advertising and explanation of "free" sample was a come on to be able to send out unwanted product.

I probably will not see my money back but I wanted to send this complaint in case it can be added to others who have experienced the s ame issues.

I knot there are others because I went on linne and there is a site that says LACREME SKIN CARE SCAM.

Thank you for listening to my issues.Desired Settlement: refund

The business be required to simplify their terms and conditions so the reader will know what it is that they are asking for.

Free Sample should mean just that with nothing "attached" to change the meaning of FREE.

They should set up another site for purchase of their product.

I can imagine that I am one of thousands who have had this happen and they have made a small fortune on the unsuspecting public.

there are probably those like me who "trust" an don't check their credit card statements closely.

Thank you.

Review: I was returning a product which, I believe, is still within the trial period (14 days trial period). when I reviewed the terms and agreement (fine print), it said trial period of 10 days from receiving the product. I was told today, Feb. 2, that my trial period was until Jan. 31st. The product was delivered from their address on Jan 19, 2015. I received it few days after that. When I received that product, I didn't like all the listed chemical ingredients, I didn't open it. I have not tried it. The, today would have been still 10 days trial period (which is different from 14 days trial period on their big website advertisement. The representative told me their policy is 14 days trial period from the order date.Desired Settlement: I think that the website 14 day trial period is very deceiving when the fine print is different (10 days from receiving the product.) Change their website advertisement to reflect what is written in the fine print.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.

Regards,

Review: On 6/11/14 I responded to a Facebook sponsored ad from La Creme for a beauty product facial lotion. The offer was to pay shipping of $4.95 and receive a trial container of the lotion. The advertisement led me to believe I had 30 days to try the product and if I did nothing, then I would start receiving monthly shipments of the item and be billed $87 for each shipment. I was under the assumption I was receiving a TRIAL package for which I only paid $4.95 and had 30 days to respond. But on 6/26/14 my Visa credit card was billed $87.63. I searched for the paperwork that had come with the shipment and discovered there was a small business card included, looked just like a business card but had tiny print of which the last lines indicated I needed to call the company within 14 days of the item being shipped (shipped 6/11/14) to cancel any agreement or I would be billed $87 for the container I was already sent, plus start being billed monthly the $87 for each container they sent to me. I thought I had 30 days to use the product, I thought the product I had in hand was a trial bottle for which I paid $4.95 and kept it. In reality, I had to call the company in 14 days (by 6/25/14) or my credit card would be immediately billed the $87 and I'd be set up to receive and be billed for the product monthly. My credit card was billed, I called the company to say I did not want to start receiving the product, and wondered why I was billed the $87. It was at that point that I became aware of the true details of the offer and my mistake in not picking up on their conditions. However, their advertising is very misleading and I feel intended to trick the consumer intentionally into being billed before the consumer can cancel. My order number with this company was [redacted] And if that wasn't bad enough, this offer included/required the purchase of a second type of facial creme sample from Bella Labs under which the exact same circumstances occurred to me and to which I will file a separate complaint. I feel as if I fell for a scam, and indeed I guess I did. Can anything be done?Desired Settlement: I accept the charge of $4.95 for the initial shipment of the trial container, but I would like to be refunded the $87.63 charged to my VISA credit card before I had time to respond and cancel.

Review: The product misleads its trial offer in its ad. They send a 30 day supply which infers a 30 day trial.

Trial offers is a 14 day trial but starts it before you even receive the product. They also encourage the purchase of 2 separate items one of which really has a 30 day trial. so it is confusing. I called on the 16th day from date of order, 10th day from receipt of the product to cancel.Desired Settlement: I want to be reimbursed the $87.63. and have my account cancelled

Review: I ordered a trial of a beauty creme for $4.95 and was away for several weeks when I returned I opened the package and saw that there was a note included in the order which stated that after 14 days this was no longer a trial and the amount of $87.63 was charged to my credit card and every thirty days thereafter I would receive a similar supply and my credit card would again be charged $87.63. I never used the product and wish to return it unopened, however, after repeatedly calling customer service and waiting each time for a least 15 minutes I was then given the choice to leave my number for a call back. It has been about a week and after all the follow-up calls each time leaving my number, no call back has been received. I have also e-maield their customer support and received no answer. I think the on-line advertising is misleading as there was no mention of the charge after 14 days nor of a continued sending of the product. It has stated that you could simply contact customer service at any time to cancel membership, however, no one seems to be available to talk to so how can one cancel this "membership".Desired Settlement: I would like a phone call to express my situation and to cancel my supposed "membership" and would like to return product unused for a refund to my credit card.

I agreed to this and submitted my credit card number. Both cremes arrived the same day. There were no shipping labels or other information included. My credit card was charged $4.95 twice on 4/12/2015. On 4/27/2015, my credit card was charged again twice, for $87.63, once by [redacted] and once by LaCreme Skin Care. When I called [redacted], they said they would refund my credit card the $87.63 and close my account, though this has not happened yet. They said they were not related to LaCreme Skin Care, though they gave me their phone number, advertise together, ship together and charge my credit card the same amount on the same day. I called the LaCreme Skin Cr, and the man refused to credit my card. He said he couldn't refund my credit card number because the system was frozen. I offered to give him my credit card over the phone so he could issue the refund. He refused. He gave me an email address to contact. The product is just oily liquid, terrible. This is a big scam. My credit card needs to be refunded the $87.63 by both [redacted] and LaCreme Skin Care, $87.63 from each one.Desired Settlement: [redacted] should refund my credit card $87.63 and never send me or charge my credit card for anything again. LaCreme Skin Care should refund my credit card $87.63 and never charge me or my credit card for anything again. Both these entities should stop their unethical online practices.

At La Crème Skin Care, every customer is given the option to try their first 30 day supply without charge for 10 days after receiving their order. During the 10 days, if the customer is not satisfied with their product, they are to contact customer service via phone or email with a notice of cancellation and the product must be postmarked for return within those 10 days. If the customer keeps their 30 day supply after 10 days from the date of delivery, they are automatically billed for the product and then billed and shipped a new 30 day supply every 30 days thereafter. The customer has the ability to cancel at any time by calling customer service or emailing [email protected]. If a customer needs to contact customer service, the phone number is listed on www.lacremeskincare.com, the product, the pamphlet that arrives with their order, and the package the product is shipped in. The terms are disclosed clearly on www.lacremeskincare.com where the customer would have ordered the product. The customer also has to click “I agree to the terms and conditions” twice before the order is processed. If the customer does not click the box to agree with the terms, the order will not process. The terms and conditions are disclosed directly on the ordering website, at the bottom of the first page, and also highlighted in a large white box on the second page where the customer inputs their billing information, as well as sent out with the product. The customer placed the order on 4/12/15. This is when they paid the initial $4.95 for shipping and handling and this began the trial period to sample from the initial 30 day supply they were sent. Since there was no notification of a request for cancellation and/or a returned product during the allotted time, the customer was automatically billed for the 30 day supply on 4/27/15 as explained in the terms and conditions which they agreed to. The consumer contacted La Crème Skin Care on 5/17/15 with a request for cancellation. The account was cancelled immediately as instructed and the customer was sent a cancellation confirmation via email. Based on the nature of the call, the customer service agent refunded the amount of $87.63 that day. Once a refund is processed, it takes 3-7 business days for it to be credited back to the customer’s account.

Review: I purchased an online trial of this cream, along with [redacted] moisterizer. I tried calling to cancel all future orders. No one answered the telephone ever. Now, I look at my checking account and I see that another $87.63 has been deducted from my account. The creme is useless, and I want a complete refund of my money. This company is a complete fraud.I am requesting a settlement.Desired Settlement: I would like a complete refund of all monies paid.

Review: I took a survey and was offered a gift for taking it. I understood the offer to be a gift of skin care products for free, shipping cost of 4.95. I ordered it but when I received an email confirming the order, it stated it was for a 14 day free trial period. I would be automatically billed for 87.63. I cancelled the order immediately via email. I had tried the phone but was on hold for 15 minutes. I received an email that states I can cancel my order and return the unused product. (I lose the 4.95 and have to pay for the shipping) or I can kept it and be billed for half the cost 43.82. I think this is very misleading. I would have never ordered the product if I thought it was anything other than a 1 time offer. I only took the offer because it was supposed to be a gift for taking the survey.Desired Settlement: I would like an apology, free return shipping and to receive my 4.95 that I originally was charged. I will not be using their merchandise.

Review: La Creme advertises via pop ups on the internet, free two week trial with $4.95 shippiing in handling. In fact it means that they will wait two weeks to bill you. The product arrives with no informatlion other than a statement of $4.95 paid for shipping and handling and product brochures. Absolutely nothing about how the two week trial works. They sent a 1.05 oz. of creme and after two weeks put the charge of $87.63 on my credit card bill. Where is the free two week's sample. Obviously, it is a deceptive way of selling their product. When I called and complained about the deception, they made an adjustment of 50%. They claim it is all spelled out when you order. If it is, I certainly didn't see it, or I would never have ordered. Had I not called and complained, they would have continued billiing me each month.Desired Settlement: That they be prohibited to use this deceptive marketing system directed toward older women.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Regards, Louise Flynn La Creme said they have credited my account for $43.82. The total amount of the charge to my account is $87.63. On 5/14 when I made my call to them they credited my account for 43.82, 50% which they said was all they would refund.I am objecting to the fact that they are not refunding all the of the unauthorized charge. Now they say they have refunded the $43.82, which must refer to the 5/14 credit because as of today there is no addiitional refund. They are not truthful when they say they always include terms with delivery because I received nothing of the kind. Looking at the La Creme website I see other complaints, and as a matter of record, they use the advertising slogan used by Stryvectin, "Better than Botox." They are not running an ethical business in my opinion. [redacted]

Response:

The response did not clarify she was originally issued a partial refund of $43.82 on 05/14 when she originally contacted customer service regarding her account. The customer accepted the partial refund, and the call ended amicably. The Revdex.com complaint was issued to us on 05/21 and the remainder of the refund was applied that same day, a total of $43.81. The original partial refund would have taken three to seven business days to credit back from 05/14 and the remaining charge would refund back three to seven business days after 05/21. This may be why the consumer was dissatisfied with the credit she received. She should have her full refund applied in those two segments, and the account was completely closed as of 05/14.

How can so many people be wrong?.I wish I would of read these complains before I got sucked in.Same thing happen to me as explained in all the reviews.Belle labs did give me a credit but lacreme offered nothing. They are very trained in the come backs especially the one that your 14 day trial begins on the day your produce is shipped .Get real. How can they sleep at night?

Review: I ordered La Crme Anti-Wrinkle Cream on line. I did read the small print and needed to cancel future shipments within 14 days as well as prevent billing for a larger amount. I cancelled after 10 days. I was told to send the product back or I'd be billed for the larger amount. I said I'd read the small print and nowhere did it say that I'd have to return anything if I cancelled. I asked for them to send me a postage mailing label which they said they did not do. After continued discussion with the representative, I told her I was going to report them to the Revdex.com and hung up. I since have received 4 phone calls from the business telling me my account was cancelled and I would not have to return the cream. I had already cancelled my credit card so they would not be able to put any charges on my card. This company needs to put full information in easy to read location for buyers to read prior to ordering. They try to hit the consumer after all the credit card information is already on file. I would never have ordered this product with their return stipulation.Desired Settlement: I'd like to make other consumers aware of the issue to prevent them from having the same issues and being taken advantage of for this issue.

Response:

We verify on the website that the 30-day product supply on a 14-day trial basis. We do not offer a free product, and the consumer is required to contact us within 14-days. The charge of $87.63 is actually paying for the 30-day supply after the trial period expired. To avoid this charge, the consumer is offered the option to return the item postmarked by the end of the trial period. In the terms, it clearly verifies that if the item is kept outside of the trial period, the consumer will be charged $87.63. When Mrs. [redacted] contacted us, she was notified of these terms as the item is not free. She was irate, and we attempted to contact her and verify she could keep the item as a one-time courtesy due to her dissatisfaction. We did not receive any notice back she received this contact until this complaint. As she was notified before this complaint was filed, we are simply confirming the information on her account. She originally ordered the trial on 10/07/14 at $3.95, and she contacted us on 10/17/14 to cancel. We close the account completely, and there are detailed notes regarding her original contact with us, and the numerous calls we made to her.

Review: I wish I had looked at this site prior to ordering "trial" product by La Crme Skin Care. I ditto all previous statements. I ordered my product on7/24/14 and received the product on 7/29/14. I called to cancel on 8/11/14 (12 and 1/2 days later) and was told trial period started on the day product was ordered. This is false advertising at it's best. There is no way to try (trial) a product until you receive it. Like others have stated, the customer service rep I spoke to "[redacted]" was rude. The first time I called I was disconnected after a 15 minute wait. The 2nd time I called I was connected after a 15 minute wait. (Seems to be a pattern) When you first call into the customer service number the automated answering machine states "ALL calls are recoded" which tells me the company is very aware of the devious sales practices.Desired Settlement: I desire a refund to credit card used of any charges company has made other than the $4.95 S&H charges advertised ( I assume based on other complaints that would be around $87.00.) I will be glad to return unused portion of said product.

Review: Honestly, I'd like to just put DITTO to every single complaint that has been lodged here against this company because every single complaint regarding the 14 day trial and the monies is my complaint. I tried to settle it w the company through email first. This was a DISASTER. After a ping pong of about 6 emails, it was clear there would be no solution. First of all, this company's tone is absolutely condescending snobbish to the hilt; it's really sad that it takes customers to come here to Revdex.com to get relief. So for me, I told them that I had called however my number is a blocked number. Then they told me the number I called was for Bellalabs not their number. LaCreme says they're a different company. Well I signed up for everything through the BellaLabs website and that was the number listed in the terms and they gave me a refund. LaCreme says they are affiliated with BellaLabs but don't have access to their records. Well I don't recall seeing where I had to call TWO numbers. Now I can read in ALL these responses from LaCreme that they condescending say that customers had to agree in 2 places when they signed up and it was in their packages..... my response to this is: it is advertised that you have to use BOTH cremes together SO the companies are giving the consumers the FALSE idea that they are TOGETHER as ONE...so in all honesty, I thought my calling the number I did, took care of everything. On top of this, I told LaCreme that due to the fact that I'd been taking care of a sick relative who just passed away last week, I haven't even opened any of the packages and would be happy to return them both for full refunds. So I don't even know what is in these packages, ie, cards re: 14 day trial periods.Desired Settlement: FULL REFUND! $131.46 which is minus the shipping of $4.95 b/c I did agree to pay that from the beginning. Plus, the company has said they will refund 50% equaling $43.82 (which I now see is a pattern.... I think they do this to try to get consumers NOT to go to Revdex.com... and I am fully aware that by my saying that I am really making LaCreme angry so I don't expect any refund at all at this point) I also believe someone HAS to put a stop to their FALSE advertising! First, since these 2 companies stress that their cremes only work with the other, then they need to clarify that they are separate entities. I also believe the "FREE TRIAL" needs to be REMOVED b/c there is NOTHING free! IF you like it you HAVE to pay for it!! Or at the very least, allow the 14 day trial to start maybe 2 days after the order or lengthen the trial period? Revdex.com did you know that the 14 day trial starts from the day the consumer hits the "order" key on their computer? It's time these ads become more transparent.

Review: I have called La creme on two separate occasions to let them know that I am unhappy with their product and do not wish to receive it anymore. Review: I ordered what I thought was a free sample of their product and was billed $87.63 which I just received on Saturday, September 13, 2014. Also their disclaimer is so small you would not see it unless you searched for it.Desired Settlement: Since I feel they should have made the disclaimer where a normal person could find it, I would like a refund .

The customer has to also click "I agree to the terms and conditions" twice before the order is processed. If the customer does not "agree" to the terms, the order will not process. The terms and conditions are disclosed directly on the ordering website not only on the bottom of the first page, but also highlighted in a large white box on the second page where the customer inputs their card information as well as sent out with the product.
