Our records indicate that the consumer has alerted us on the intent to file a claim; however we have not received any claim documentation to include:
The claim form, the original tickets, proof of payment for the tickets, verification of the incident that caused the loss, which in this case would be a completed physician statement formAs there are medical conditions that are excluded from coverage, we would need to be sure that the condition is covered
The consumer may send these items into the Claim Department for processing which normally takes 7-business days for review

The Insurance Company did not offer to make good on my complaint about themThey did not offer me my money back for my tickets and nor did they offer me my money back that I spent on the insuranceI really did not think that they would and I am quite disappointed in them although not really surprisedThey claim that their terms are readily available on their website before you purchase the insurance but that is not true and I ask that you look into their website to see if you can find them
I also think that they should change their family member terms (for a death in the family) to any blood related relativeI just don't believe that their terms are reasonable and because of their policy being the way it is, it probably will cause people to lie about which family members have passed awayIf they haven't already, which is probably what I should have done had I been able to get a hold of the policy which I couldn'tThat way I would have at least been reimbursed my moneyIts a real shame and a bad way to run a business
In any eventI did not get anything in return from this company for my troubles however I was able to dispute my claim for this problem with *** ***They have taken care of itIts unfortunate that many other people in my situation will not have the same outcomeI hope that "YOU" Revdex.com, have a thorough look at this company and the way they run their companyThey are getting away with scamming the public! Please look into it or more people will get scammed!!!

We have reviewed a phone call from the consumer which took place one day prior to the
event dateDuring that phone call the consumer advised that the cancelation was due to inclement weatherThe agent advised that the policy did not list weather as covered reason and offered to send the consumer the Certificate of Insurance guide which outlined all reasons for coverage
The email was sent and the call ended
We do not have record of any other call on file for the cancelation of the event
Unfortunately, having to cancel due to business obligations is excluded from coverage in the *** policy
At this time, we regret that we are unable to overturn the denial

Our insurance, like any other insurance
had terms, conditions and exclusions that impact coverage
The consumer is correct in that the policy specifically states “You, a traveling companion or family member dies.” This policy is designed to provide coverage for deaths that occur during the insurance coverage period which result in the cancelation of the trip
The policy excluded coverage for any event that was known or foreseeable at the time of purchase
Our records indicate that the consumer’s policy was purchased on 02/09/2014, and according to the claim documents, the death occurred on 02/03/
As the death occurred prior to the insurance purchase date, and while the insured was not covered under our policy, unfortunately, that event would be excluded from coverage I regret that we are unable to overturn our decision at this time

WARNING to anyone who's buying travel insuranceDon't buy one from this Company Allianz Travel Insurance USA
This Company is a THIEF! If I am working on this company I will be ASHAMED of my selfThis people probably don't realize that they are living in a hard-earned money of someoneThis company and whoever works is is DISGUSTING!
Why?
I purchase this travel insurance so I will have a peace of mind if "JUST IN CASE" something came up and I can't go to my vacationSure enough something came upI call this insurance right away to notify them that I got a new job, unfortunately I can't go on my planned vacation because those dates are not available for me to haveI spoke to the supervisor *** last May 29, He basically said that my reason is not covered by this insuranceThat if it is work related, I have to be TERMINATED and I have to prove that it is not my FAULT
OK fine! So I called the airlinesThe reptold me that if this is the case then my best bet is to just re-book/re-sched my flight with $penaltyGreat! that is better than losing $I was also told to call my travel insurance to see if they can reinburse me with $penalty instead of getting a refund that they wont give anyway
So, I called up *** again by ALLIANZ today June 1,I am so clear before we start that whatever we discuss regarding this matter, I will write a review in all my social media account either if it is good or badI made a recording of our conversationI will find a way to download it as an attachment(maybe)
What we end up?
I told *** the supervisor that since It is impossible for me to get a refund, and I don't want to go back -and- forth, I just want him to tell me if the company can cover the lousy $It's not about the money anymore, It is THE PRINCIPLES behind all this *** is what I am afterI can care less about that $
*** said that he can't answer me YES or NO, but MAYBE…***? and I still need to file a claim to MAYBE get this $200…
I am certainly bring this issue to consumers affair in California or VirginiaWhatever the outcome is, at least I stand by my principlesI want my voice to be heard
Mind you that I was so clear that I will make a review to all my social media account

I purchased travel insurance from Allianz for myself and a friend with whom I booked a trip to MexicoMy friend's mom fell ill and was hospitalized before our trip started so I filed a claim with Allianz to get a refund of our airfareThey asked for a physician form so my friend had the physician fill out the form A couple days later my friend's mom passed awayI called Allianz to see if they just needed the death certificate or both that and the physician formThe woman I spoke with had absolutely no compassion and said they would like bothMy friend faxed in both forms and a couple weeks later I got an email saying that they needed more info on the physician formREALLY? Her mom just died and now you're asking for more info when you already have the death certificate? I'm calling today to complain but wanted to warn ppl to not buy this insurance! They are a greedy company with no compassion and are obviously trying to get out of paying us what they oweCompletely disgusted!!! I will be filing a claim if this doesn't get resolved ASAP
