According to the Physician Statement form filled out by the doctor, the cause of loss was not due to an actual physical complication of the pregnancy itself, but rather the consumer’s medical history

We were denied a refund after the March 22, terrorist attacks in Europe because our arrival date into Europe was days after their "days after terrorist attack event" occurredMeaning, even though the US State Dept filed a Europe Travel Alert covering our travel area and time, because we were scheduled to arrive more than (only by days) days after the horrific Brussels attack conducted by ISIL, Allianz persistently denied our claimI find it heartless and grossly negligent on the part of this company to assume that days after such a seriously dangerous event, they believe people should be OK to travel in that region even though our State Dept advised otherwiseI'm writing this review to warn others that Allianz has many holes to their policies and although you may feel safe with them before/during travel, they do not have your best interests in mind and are, unfortunately, only out for themselves and their businessI also strongly believe any warnings/alerts issued by the US State Dept for the safety of its citizens should trump any loopholes insurance companies come up with

In their response to my Revdex.com complaint, Allianz Global claimed-"I have reviewed the complaintCurrently, on the *** website, the insurance is offered in the booking pathYes or No are the choices, both options are blank and you could choose either yes or no."
This is patently falseThe option for YES is already checked, and in tiny font, making it difficult to readIs Allainz Global suggesting I chose to purchase their product, then suddenly complained about being tricked into it days later?Considering the large number of complaints similar to mine, all of which have the same ("Both boxes are blank, and you could choose yes or no"), it is obvious that Allianz Global DOES ensure the YES box is checked, and simply repeats the same lie on every Revdex.com complaint.Allianz Global also claimed-
"Currently I am not able to see where the consumer reached out to them"
Again, falseI clicked on the 'Customer Service' link provided in their email to me, filed my complaint, and no response was givenNow that I have filed a Revdex.com complaint, My refund magically appears.
That this business maintains an A+ rating is ridiculousInstead of allowing Allianz Global to game your system, I suggest Revdex.com take a closer look at their business practicesI see many many complaints
similar to mine on the Revdex.com website, so it's obvious that an A+ rating is not warranted

Bad experience with Allianz Global Assistance insurance from Jefferson Insurance Company
I bought an Allianz Global Assistance cancellation policy form Jefferson Insurance Company for a tripWhen I needed to cancel the trip because the country I was going to visit didn't give me a visa (a country with strained relations with the US), it turns out that this policy doesn't cover itOne has to provide the tickets to apply for a visa, so I bought the insurance in case I wouldn't be granted the visaI have no choice but to cancel!
Of course the insurer suggests that one submit a claim for them to reconsider, but after all the time it takes to do this, I am sure they will still not change their positionFirst and last time I deal with this company!

My husband and I recently flew to ***I had taken out the Ins through Allianz because *** *** directed me to themAt ***, when the plane landed, my name was calledI approached the staff at the exit and they handed me a phone and said there was a family emergency at homeWe called our daughter and found out that while we were in flight, my father in law had passed away,
They asked when we wanted to return home and we said we would like to be on the same plane home that we just arrived onwe were never asked by *** *** employees if we wanted to use our return flight to get hoe that day (which was scheduled for Oct 17th)They did the best they could and we were back on that plane headed homeOnce home an dafter making the arrangements for a wake and funeral, I call Allainz and explained the situationAfter all, the Ins coverage was for trip delay, trip cancellation and trip interruptionA death of an immediate family member does qualify for a trip interruption (I would think)It's now Tuesday Oct 4th and the arrangements have been made so we book a flight back down on Oct 8th at a hefty fee of almost t$pp, per ticket! I called *** *** and ended up getting *** *** Getaway to save on the airfare and find a hotel for the days we missedWhen home from our vacation, I called Allianz again and asked for the claim paperwork to be sent (They said the had already sent it, but we never received itI sen them everything they asked for, death certificate, doctors notes, original airline tickets and moreI now find out that Allianz thinks our trip interruption was only worth $40.!!!!!! I paid more for the trip Insurance than that!! They are trying to put the blame on *** for not telling us to purchase a new flight homeThey clearly saw how distraught we were and got us right back on that planeWe cried for nearly the entire and a half hour flight backI called *** *** as Corey at Allianz told me to and they said there was nothing they could doSo, not only did I lose over 50,airline miles and $for our flight down and back but also the $3,to fly back to *** days later and a hotel on top of that (since our time share had ended on the 17th and we added the days that we missed)I can't seem to find anyone with a heart at Allianz and would warn anyone that if you are going to Fly *** ***, please take yips insurance out through a different company, perhaps, your credit card companyWe are appalled, sad and mad that what the policy says is really not what it meansSomeone there needs to get a heart and think long and hard if you want your business to continue with good ratingsI give you a "VERY POOR" and almost illegal the way you take advantage of people in their darkest times

Terrorist event was defined as: When an organized terrorist group, as defined by the U.SState Department, injures or kills people or damages property to achieve a political, ethnic or religious goal or resultTerrorist events don’t include general civil protest, unrest, rioting or acts of war
At the time of the claim decision no terrorist organization listed by the US state department has claimed responsibility for this event; therefore, the event was not considered terrorist event under the insuring agreementTravel warnings and bulletins and being afraid to travel is also not coveredIf the consumer feels as though the event now qualifies as a terrorist event, verification of this can be sent to [email protected] for additional review

We booked a trip to Las Vegas for my wife and I This was originally purchased through ***, there was an option for Travel insurance, which led us to believe we could cancel at any time for any reason Two days before our trip, our home was broken into and many items were stolen and our door was broken and had to be repaired We called *** to cancel out trip and they forwarded me to Allianz to file a claim to get our money back for the airline portion of the trip Allianz denied my claim as I could not prove my home was inhabitable, even though I supplied them with Police reports and proof of purchase This company is a complete fraud and I will NEVER buy travel insurance with an airline that uses Allianz as a partner Please beware of this company

The consumers insuring agreement excluded coverage for pregnancy unless there are unforeseen physical complications of the pregnancy itself The insurance did not provide coverage for risk of complicationsAs the pregnancy itself was normal, we were unable to provide coverage for the loss
