For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I am not satisfied with this response because the company didn't even address the issue at hand which that they falsely advertised there product on there websiteThey entice as well mislead there consumers into buying a product that they do not provideThey do not state that there needs to be a specific reason for the change of flight fee on the website as you are purchasing the product but instead put it in fine print after purchase in there policy informationI didn't feel the need to read the policy since the products were already described on there website and I thought I knew what I was purchasing since I assumed they were an honest insurance companyUnfortunately, I guess I was wrong, and thus am still not satisfied with this company's reply

Our insurance programs are like any other type of insurance in that there are terms, conditions, and
exclusions that impact coverageThese terms were readily available in the booking path prior to purchase and also emailed to the address provided
According to the claim documentation on file, the consumer’s loss was due to a reason that was not listed as a named peril in the insuring agreementThe claim was finalized within business days after the requested documentation was received which unfortunately was after the consumers event date
I regret that we are unable to provide the consumer with a more favorable response.

receipt and refuse the cash receipt, but the terms does not state I have

- 12/30/The consumer sent in a letter from the doctor indicating that he was seen a
month after the initial date changeIf the consumer is filing for the original
trip dates of 12/16/- 12/30/2008, we would need a completed physician statement
form from the primary care physician who advised cancelation in October of the
insured tripThe only ticket we would be able to cover is the one that was

I do not know why they have no record of our calls but we called several times from either *** *** or *** *** Maybe their records are incorrect or they don't actually record/save calls from last February, I personally don't know I do agree it was not a "named" coverage but their sales stated it would be covered, not once but twice Their website puts the requirements several clicks down while stating that most items will be covered (advertising) which is also mentioned in a lot of the complaints listed against them via Revdex.com.org They should do the right thing for a customer and honor their mistake and refund my cost for canceling the trip or worst case the cost for the insurance as a "good measure." Policies should be changed along with their website to clearly state what is or is not covered rather than making a person hunt it down

In December I booked air travel through *** *** to visit a life long friendWhile booking the flights I was invited to purchase Travel Insurance with Allianz Global Assistance Travel Insurance for cancellations or trip interruptionAs I do not typically purchase this type of insurance I thought it may be good to have being my trip was during the holiday seasonUnfortunately my friend (whom I was visiting) father passed away suddenly and without warning the day after I arrivedAs she had to leave town immediately to tend to her fathers passingI had to rebook my return flight since she was headed home to another stateI rebooked my return flight through *** *** along with *** to depart earlyOnce home I filed a claim with Allianz Global Assistance Travel Insurance including a Death certificate and all documentation requestedAs time passed I received no correspondence from Allianz Global Assistance Travel Insurance forcing me to contact them in regards to my claimI was told it was denied because the return flight was booked through *** not *** ***As I explained to Allianz Global Assistance Travel Insurance I called *** *** and they called ***I had both *** *** and *** on the phone simultaneously to book a change to my return flightAllianz Global Assistance Travel Insurance said they would escalate the claim and I would be contacted back with a resolutionAnother Month goes by and no response from Allianz Global Assistance Travel InsuranceI decided to call *** *** since they sold the policy on behalf of Allianz Global Assistance Travel InsuranceAfter another minutes going over all this again with *** *** they called Allianz Global Assistance Travel Insurance to assist with the claimThis time I was told because the deceased was not a direct family member of mine they would not pay the claim, it was deniedTo recap I visited a friend who's father passed during my trip and she had to leave to tend to matters pertaining to her fathers deathIn turn I had to return home early forcing me to change my return tripYou would think this would constitute a valid claim for the insurance I purchasedIT DID NOT! Don't be scammed by these companies use someone else!

Basically, contacting you only served to continue this horrible experience!! Basically they can say whatever they want and of course I read the entire HUGE booklet emailed and read every line to confirm that I had "trip insurance" which I purchased(I am totally joking) they MISLEAD you into thinking you are purchasing insurance and if your trip is cancelled you get it reimbursed On the website it does not say ANYTHING about medical reasons, that you get after purchasing and reading an entire huge booklet which I can guarantee you no one reads because they believe they got something as stated on the website Either way, I have no recourse and this has been a learning experience to NEVER use *** *** again as a website as they do not stand behind their vendors and to NEVER purchase trip insurance again!!
