Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: I have the documentation and Lexington wants it then it will be provided by writing through a third party. Lexington is being dishonest about this email sent from Beth in their department. Also, rude customer service is never...

tolerated and still no apology for this unruly behavior. I want the past due BALANCES cleared and honored. If Lexington does not want to do then it has already been forwarded to my attorney and I am reporting this to consumer affairs. BYE
Sincerely,

Re: [redacted] This is Lexington Law Firm’s formal response to Ms. [redacted]’s Revdex.com complaint. We feel our explanation was sufficient to show that customer agreed to the terms she now complains about.  We are sorry customer continues to misunderstand, so we will issue the refund she requests. We hope that she finds the 35 deletions we achieved for her helpful as she goes forward.  We could not have done this for her without her agreement to pay us for these services, but we will accept a loss in order to resolve this as our repeated explanations have had no effect.  The refund will be issued to the card used to pay for our services.    Claudia I[redacted]Attorney StaffAdministrative AssistantLexington Law FirmNorth Salt Lake P: (801)297-2494Ext. 20056E:[redacted]

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
On a recorded call they clearly stated that they do not help fix credit which is what they advertise. Why would a supervisor tell me that they dont. They charged me for 2 months after cancelling which does prove that they steal money without permission. If they did slip that into a contract it was misleading, no one would agree to that.
Sincerely,

RE: [redacted] This is Lexington Law Firm’s formal Response to Mr. [redacted]’s Complaint with the Revdex.com. Lexington represents clients in order to ensure the items on their credit report are accurate and substantiated under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Lexington...

does this by challenging negative trade lines with the credit bureaus and sending letters to creditors on its clients’ behalf. Lexington does not represent clients in regards to debts they may owe to creditors, including any debt settlement or debt negotiation. Before becoming a client, an individual must sign the engagement agreement that outlines the services Lexington will perform based on the service level a client prefers. Upon review of his case, Mr. [redacted] signed the engagement agreement and Lexington proceeded to attempt to have negative trade lines removed from his credit reports. When items were deleted from his credit reports, Lexington sent an email to Mr. [redacted] letting him know that a trade line had been removed from his credit report. Lexington did not discuss the underlying debt or any issues regarding garnishment with Mr. [redacted] as it did not represent him in respect to them. An attorney from Lexington has been in communication with Mr. [redacted] via email to discuss the details of his Complaint and Lexington’s representation. After discussing this matter, Lexington and Mr. [redacted] have come to an amicable resolution to his Complaint. Claudia I[redacted]Attorney StaffAdministrative AssistantLexington Law FirmNorth Salt Lake

Re: [redacted] This is Lexington Law Firm’s formal response to Ms. [redacted]’s Revdex.com complaint. Lexington Law Firm regrets to hear of any problems that may have arisen after Ms. [redacted] enrolled in Lexington’s credit repair services. Under the Credit Repair...

Organization Act, any company providing credit repair services may not receive payment until after services have already been provided. Because Lexington strictly follows this law, the payments taken on Ms. [redacted]’s case were for the services leading up to her cancellation. These services included, but were not limited to, challenges sent to credit bureaus, letters sent directly to creditors, credit monitoring, and access to the website that includes coaching and other credit tools. Upon receiving this Complaint from Ms. [redacted], an attorney reviewed her Complaint and her case with Lexington. Based on this review, Lexington has taken steps in regards to Ms. [redacted]’s case that it feels should resolve her concerns. Lexington has communicated these steps to Ms. [redacted] via email. If Ms. [redacted] has any questions about her case or this resolution she should contact Lexington as indicated in the email. Claudia I[redacted]Attorney StaffAdministrative AssistantLexington Law FirmNorth Salt Lake P: (801)297-2494Ext. 20056E:[email protected]

RE: [redacted] This is Lexington Law Firm’s formal response to Ms. [redacted]’s Revdex.com complaint. Lexington Law Firm is troubled to hear of Ms. [redacted]’s comment that Lexington obviously did nothing to help her with credit repair. Ms. [redacted] engaged Lexington to represent her onMarch 29in order to challenge negative items on her credit report to ensure their accuracy. Lexington is unable to guarantee any specific results to clients as Lexington can only control the services it provides. The ultimate decision of what is listed on an individual’s credit report is left to the discretion of the creditors and/or the credit bureaus. Lexington can challenge items with the bureaus or send letters to the creditors on the client’s behalf, but ultimately cannot decide what is removed from a credit report. Based on a review of Ms. [redacted]’s case and initial phone call with Lexington, there was no guarantee of results or timeframes offered to her, but rather she was told the results she was hoping for were not impossible. Lexington sent a number of challenges to the credit bureaus on Ms. [redacted]’s behalf, and based on Lexington’s current records show she had a number of removals. Claudia I[redacted]Attorney StaffAdministrative AssistantLexington Law FirmNorth Salt Lake P: (801)297-2494Ext. 20056E:[email protected]

RE: [redacted] [redacted] This is in response to Ms. [redacted]’s Revdex.com complaint. Lexington Law is always disappointed to hear that a client has had a negative experience while working with Lexington Law to repair his or her credit. When such a situation arises,...

Lexington does everything within its power to resolve the situation. On August 1, 2017, the client in question set up his case with Lexington Law. During the initial phone calls, the client was repeatedly explained the standard pricing and billing procedures. The first billing date was discussed at least three times during that phone call, which the client agreed to. Lexington Law has attempted to contact the client through phone and email, and has received no response from the client. Nevertheless, Lexington Law has taken steps which it feels is a fair resolution to this concern. Claudia I[redacted]Attorney StaffAdministrative AssistantLexington Law FirmNorth Salt Lake P: (801)297-2494Ext. 20056E:[email protected]

seriously and strives to resolve them in a timely manner. Mr. [redacted] signed up with Lexington Law Firm in order to have Lexington address negative items listed on his credit report. Lexington bills its client in conformity with the Credit Repair Organizations Act. It appears the billing may have been unclear to Mr. [redacted] when he signed up for Lexington’s services. An attorney from Lexington Law Firm reached out and spoke to Mr. [redacted] about these billing issues. Lexington and Mr. [redacted] have come to a resolution of this concern so that each party can move forward. Claudia I[redacted]Attorney StaffAdministrative AssistantLexington Law FirmNorth Salt Lake P: (801)297-2494Ext. 20056E:[email protected]

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.  While I absolutely do not agree with their statements, as my wife called many times, I appreciate them canceling both of our accounts as was previously requested and look forward to receiving the refund of the same. The total funds removed from our bank account was $899.50 as is reflected int he attached PDF file.  Sincerely,

RE: [redacted] This is Lexington Law Firm’s formal response to Ms. [redacted]’s Revdex.com response. Our customer's may not dispute accurate items.  If an accurate item is disputed, it may lead a creditor to become more aggressive in collecting an amount owed. ...

Customer's specifically tell us which items are to be challenged and they are specifically advised in our contract that they may not use our service to challenge accurate items.  In October of 2016, this customer read and signed our agreement by electronic signature after advising he read and understood our short contract.  The relevant part states: VI. LEXINGTON WILL NOT DO ANY OF THE FOLLOWING:  Lexington will not file your case in court or perform pre-litigation services on your behalf, except under a separate written agreement signed by both you and Lexington. Lexington assists you in contacting Bureaus and Furnishers to address items on your credit reports, but Lexington does not promise or provide any specific outcome with regard to your credit history or credit report. Multiple attempts to assist you in this effort may be necessary, and should you deem Lexington’s actions to be unsuccessful, you may need to seek additional legal representation regarding a particular Furnisher or Bureau.  Lexington will not dispute accurate information within your credit report. If customer selected a legitimate item for dispute, he may have that to blame for his current circumstance.  Additionally customer's demand we return all fees do not take into account the labor and technical infrastructure on his specific issues, and the fact that at least 9 other items were deleted to his benefit.  Customer was with us for 3 months and was fully aware that we cannot promise specific results, and we only challenged items he asked us to challenge.  We retain the proof of this in the form of a signed contract by Mr. [redacted], as well as records of the case valet where he instructed us which items were inaccurate. Claudia I[redacted]Attorney StaffAdministrative AssistantLexington Law FirmNorth Salt Lake P: (801)297-2494Ext. 20056E:[email protected]

[redacted] This is Lexington Law Firm’s formal response to Ms. [redacted]’s Revdex.com complaint. Thank you for your clarification.  We can see where the confusion lies now.   Lexington is not a prepaid service, we actually only bill after each cycles work is complete.  Some customer's in the past have also become confused in this way, as our first work cycle is the case set up only, and is completed within five days, and billed soon after signing up. The case set up fee is the same amount as the service plan you selected, and you may have assumed it was an advance charge for your first month, rather than the case set up fee which is earned the first five days.  We can offer you the documentation to show how we billed correctly, and the contract which explains in more detail if you desire, but we will also simply issue the refund as a goodwill gesture and so you are not harmed by any confusion, and hope you understand we were not trying to retain fees you did not agree to.   Please contact us and ask to speak with one of the attorney's if you have any further concerns.  The $77.38 will be refunded to the payment method used with us.  Thank you again for explaining your concerns so well. Claudia I[redacted]Attorney StaffAdministrative AssistantLexington Law FirmNorth Salt Lake P: (801)297-2494Ext. 20056E:[redacted]

Revdex.com:Lexington Law ADMITTED on the phone they did NOT perform any services on their behalf as I hired them to do so in the first TWO months of being enrolled in their program. They also admitted that their "paralegal" didn't acknowledge my request to focus on the two specific accounts on the ONE bureau that this collection was listed on. Therefore, they FAILED.  Lexington Law refused to issue me a full refund but instead will be issuing me a refund of $49.95 due to their negligence of service for two months. In reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is semi satisfactory to me and consider this matter closed. They should be ashamed of their business practices.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

services to address negative items on his credit report. Lexington disputed these items and Mr. [redacted] saw one negative item drop off two of his reports. Lexington is not responsible for reporting or deleting negative items, but merely disputes on its clients’ behalf. Although not entirely common, an item that has been deleted by a credit bureau may be re-reported by the creditor at the discretion of the creditor and the credit bureau. If a client believes the item to be reported incorrectly then the item can be disputed again with the credit bureau. Upon receiving this Complaint from Mr. [redacted], an attorney reached out to him to discuss how the reporting to credit bureaus works and Lexington’s role in the process of disputing items and sending letters to creditors on our clients’ behalf.
