This is Lexington Law Firm’s formal response to Ms. W[redacted]’s Revdex.com complaint. Lexington Law Firm is disappointed to hear of Ms. W[redacted]’s dissatisfaction and any problems she had with Lexington’s credit repair services. Lexington Law Firm strives to ensure that any matter of this...

nature is resolved promptly and to both parties’ satisfaction. Ms. W[redacted] first signed up with Lexington on April 18, 2015 to have Lexington challenge negative items that appeared on Ms. W[redacted]’s credit report. A Lexington paralegal spoke with Ms. W[redacted] when she signed up and discussed the payment process with her. The paralegal explained to Ms. W[redacted] when her first payment date would be and that recurring payments would be made automatically on that day for the previous months’ worth of services provided. Ms. W[redacted] then signed an agreement with Lexington electronically to begin using Lexington’s services. After that date Lexington began doing work on Ms. W[redacted]’s behalf to challenge her negative items on her credit reports. In the brief time Ms. W[redacted] was with Lexington 4 negative items were removed from her two credit reports Lexington had on file.  Ms. W[redacted] called Lexington on June 19, 2015 to close her case as she stated she never authorized Lexington to take payments from her account. Ms. W[redacted] had made one payment in the two months she was receiving service from Lexington Law Firm. Lexington has reached out to Ms. W[redacted] regarding any potential miscommunication of billing or payment procedures. After several voice mails and an email Lexington has not heard back from Ms. W[redacted]. Lexington has, however, taken steps it feels satisfactorily resolves Ms. W[redacted]’s issue and feels both parties can move on.  Thanks,Kristine G[redacted] | Managing Executive Assistant, Lexington Law Firm

complaints seriously. Mr. [redacted] enrolled with Lexington to work on his behalf to help address negative items on his credit report. When Mr. [redacted] enrolled he signed an agreement that included information about billing and what services Lexington would provide. This agreement included instructions on how to cancel his case. Lexington received an email from Mr. [redacted] asking to cancel his case on May 2. Mr. [redacted]’s case was subsequently cancelled the next day on May 3 when a paralegal from Lexington received that email. An attorney from Lexington has reviewed Mr. [redacted]’s case, but has not reached out to him in accordance with his desired settlement. Lexington has placed Mr. [redacted] on the do not call list and will not contact him in the future. As this was Mr. [redacted]’s desired outcome Lexington will consider the matter resolved. Claudia I[redacted]Attorney StaffAdministrative AssistantLexington Law FirmNorth Salt Lake P: (801)297-2494Ext. 20056E:[email protected]

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
I used Lexington Law off and on for several years to dispute and remove negative items from my credit reports. I had nothing but good things to say about them in the beginning. back in 2015/2016 they had removed a chapter 7 bk from my Equifax report and other negative items till last month ( June 2017) the chapter 7 bk was added back to my equifax credit report along with 7 other late payments that were removed before. This dropped my credit score from 698 down to 502! I have been sick at my stomach from this happening. I called Lexington law and was on the phone a total time of an hr and half speaking to several different ppl to figure out whats going on. They said that items can be reported back but usually in the first 90 days. These items were removed over a year ago so how would creditors know they had been removed and just add them back? Makes no sense! I had stopped my services because Lexington I thought had removed all the negative items from my equifax and it was showing no late payments or anything bad. But now I have all 8 items back on it along with that chapter 7 BK! I agreed to start my services back up because the manager said there is a special way they handled items that had been previously removed that got added back on. So they charged me the $99.95 first work fee and the $14.95 to pull my credit. I got an email a few days later showing what letters the had sent but then when I went to log back in I see my account was suspended? I called and was on the phone 30 min waiting and the rep said an attorney was handling my case and she would be in touch. I received an email from Jennifer, an attorney that works for Lexington law out of Phoenix, Arizona . She was responding to a negative review I had wrote on the Better Business website. I asked her if we could resolve this via email since we were playing phone tag and she agreed to try and help me. She went into this speech about how Lexington law doesn't remove negative items they only dispute them? Yet I see several ads and commercials on websites saying they do get negative items removed so I feel like that misleading info. After going back and 4th she said they are refunding me the $99.95, $14.95 fees and refunding 3 months of $59.95+ $179.85. Which I do appreciate it but what I'm highly upset about is this, for the year of 2016 I paid $59.95 a month to have items disputed and removed. That along with the $99.95 and $14.95 fees I had to pay back then too the total money I spent for 2016 with Lexington law is $834.30. That's just for one year! That's not counting how much I have spent in 2014,2015 and 2017. I have estimated me paying around $2000 for services that I feel like were half- assed. The soul business purpose for Lexington law is to help consumers remove negative items off their credit reports so they can build better credit. Not Hey we are going to remove all these items for a "little bit" you pay a fortune they they are going to get added back so you will have to keep using our services,. Am I the only one that sees that as a scam???? The attorney was nice in the beginning but when I started calling Lexington Law out on the bt she got an attitude and started being condescending in her emails with me. Saying she respectfully disagrees with my version of the events and my conclusion! I am the paying customer I have the right to feel this way and I think anyone else would feel the same way to if they were mislead and paid that munch money then see all that stuff put back on their credit and watch their hard work and money go down the drain. But the icing on the cake is when she said due to me writing a negative review and saying they were a "scam:" they will no longer have me as a client and never do business with me again. So look at it this way. You pay around $2000 for services to remove negative items on your credit report, they were move them then months later they get added back then you get upset and call them out for misleading then they don't want to do business with you? That looks very suspicious.I want my money back! I paid to have items removed from my credit report. Not removed for a little bit then be added back! THats not providing me with the services I was offered!Sincerely,
[redacted]

[redacted] This is Lexington Law Firm’s formal response to Ms. [redacted]’s Revdex.com complaint. Customer was billed five days after her sign up on 9/03.  This was the agreed upon price for our set up fee.  Her first monthly period of service was therefore...

9/04/16 to 10/03/2016.   She was aware that if she did not cancel by 9/03/2016, we would bill for this.  She did not cancel, and we billed for our case set up.  We then performed our monthly work on her behalf.  She called us to cancel on 10/03/2016, after allowing us to work on her case the entire month, not just part of it, but the whole month. She was informed that of the final bill at the time she cancelled her case.  We only bill after the work is done, not in advance.  We wonder if customer became confused and on her own initiative thought we billed in advance.  It seems so from her text.  We advise customer to look at her bank statements and see that we only were able to successfully bill for the set up fee, and we have been left without payment for her first month's service.  Customer's remaining fees owed to us will be waived in the interest of resolving this complaint however. Claudia I[redacted]Attorney StaffAdministrative AssistantLexington Law FirmNorth Salt Lake P: (801)297-2494Ext. 20056E:[redacted]

This is Lexington Law Firm’s formal response to Mr. [redacted]’s Revdex.com complaint. Mr. [redacted] signed up for services with Lexington Law Firm on 02/01/16.  Mr. [redacted] was informed that the credit repair process takes time.  Credit bureaus and creditors have up to 45 days to...

conduct reinvestigations regarding challenges and disputes made on behalf of the consumer.  Mr. [redacted] was also informed of the 5 day grace period in which he could cancel without incurring any service fees.  Mr. [redacted]'s initial invoice was due on  02/07/16 and the payment was not received due to insufficient funds.  Consequently, a late fee of $19.95 was added to the fee.  The invoice was not paid until 02/19/16.  Mr. [redacted]'s case was closed on 02/22/16.  Lexington Law Firm has submitted challenges and disputes for questionable negative items on his various credit reports and has provided access to the client website which includes educational sources for credit score improvement.  Since Mr. [redacted]'s case was closed within a challenge cycle, Lexington Law Firm is unable to provide any information on actual changes in his credit reports.  Lexington Law Firm has performed the services as agreed to and considers this matter resolved. Re: [redacted] This is Lexington Law Firm’s formal response to Mr. [redacted]’s Revdex.com complaint. We cannot promise any particular results in this type of work.  We make that clear.    However in this case the bureaus reported the removal of 5 items to us...

in the 1 and 1/2 months this customer utilized our service.   We cannot understand why a person would hire us to do work, agree to our fee, then state he is doing the work himself and claim responsibility for the results.  That decision would be his and not ours.  Customer agreed to pay us for our service, which includes, but is certainly not limited to challenging his negative items.  He need not file a complaint to have his case closed and no more telephone calls from us.  His request to not be billed however is troubling to say the least.  We do notice he has been declining our charge for work done prior to his cancellation.  We will waive these amounts in the interest of customer satisfaction, and expect him to admit we've resolved the matter in his favor. Claudia I[redacted]Attorney StaffAdministrative AssistantLexington Law FirmNorth Salt Lake P: (801)297-2494Ext. 20056E:[email protected]

This is Lexington Law Firm’s formal response to Ms. K[redacted]’s Revdex.com complaint. Ms. K[redacted] signed up with Lexington Law Firm on 02/27/15.  Within 5 months, she has had at least 23 negative items removed from her credit reports (i.e., approximately 38% of the negative items...

appearing on her credit reports).  Ms. K[redacted] contacted Lexington on 04/10/15 stating that she was experiencing financial difficulties and Lexington provided a $30 discount for client satisfaction.  On 05/13/15, Ms. K[redacted] called and stated that she could not pay the monthly service fee due to her mother's funeral and Lexington allowed her nearly 2 more weeks to make her monthly payment.  On 06/25/15, Ms. K[redacted] called Lexington and stated that she needed more time to pay her bill and Lexington allowed her to make a partial payment of $55 and later a payment of $49.95.  On 07/27/15, Ms. K[redacted] called Lexington and in an angry manner demanded that she did not owe Lexington for any of its services.  Regardless of her demeanor, Lexington offered a $20 discount.  Ms. K[redacted] then went to the Revdex.com.  Lexington has been more than considerate with Ms. K[redacted] and her financial situation and has achieved positive results for her.  Ms. K[redacted]'s case is closed and will not be reinstated.  Lexington Law Firm considers this matter resolved. Thanks,Kristine G[redacted] | Managing Executive Assistant, Lexington Law Firm

Re: #[redacted] This is Lexington Law Firm’s formal response to Mr. [redacted]’s Revdex.com complaint. We do see that you signed up for services on 9/16/16 and cancelled on 9/19/16.  You did cancel within five days and your case was closed with no further...

billing.  You were never billed at all, much less 'continued to be billed'.  We simply closed your case and never attempted to bill your card.  That is still the case.  We would like to know why you are writing to the Revdex.com stating we charged you when you know for a fact that we never did.  We ask that you affirmatively admit to the Revdex.com that you were never charged by us. Thanks,Kristine G[redacted]|Managing Executive Assistant, Lexington Law FirmStatement of Confidentiality: The contents of this e-mail message and any attachments are confidential and are intended solely for the addressee. I am rejecting this response because: this not about the payment it is about the customer service. You are pointing things out that there was no complaint about just to look over the fact of the poor customer service that was received.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: I pay $ 99.95 plus 3 times $ 49.95 plus $ 30 for a credit report, I have 14 to 15 bad reports on my record and they only removed 3 of Equifax  because expierian and TransUnion are kept hurting my credit, lexington law eliminated 3 Equifax bad credits in more than 3 months? how many years need to delete the rest? I still maintain 14/15 bad reports, they did not fix anything, I can not get evidence because they suspended my account , I need a full refund of my money or I will spend thousands to bring this case to court, the most important evidence that I am not the first to complain about this service, edit your ads "LEXINGTON LAW fix your credit report in 3 years or more paying $99.95 a month" this is ridiculous
Sincerely,

review and resolve all complaints in a timely manner and to all parties’ satisfaction. Ms. [redacted] signed up with Lexington Law to help her in her efforts to repair her credit. Ms. [redacted] stated she was particularly concerned with the bankruptcy on her report and asked if that is something we could help her with. Upon review of Ms. [redacted]’s first call to Lexington, she was told that Lexington is not allowed to give promises or guarantees on outcomes of specific items. Lexington is unable to do this as it is the discretion of the credit bureaus and, depending on the type of item, the creditors as to what is reported on a credit report. Ms. [redacted] was also told that if she is unhappy at any time that she can close her case with Lexington. Ms. [redacted] continued to use Lexington’s services for approximately five months. During that time Lexington sent out a number of challenges to the credit bureaus and letters to creditors as it stated it would do in the engagement agreement. As stated above, Lexington is unable to control which items were removed from Ms. [redacted]’s credit reports and what items remain.Am attorney has reached out to Ms. [redacted] multiple times by phone, but was unsuccessful in speaking with her. At the time of this response Ms. [redacted] has not responded to any voice mails left for her. Lexington would encourage Ms. [redacted] to contact Lexington to speak about these issues going forward. Claudia I[redacted]Attorney StaffAdministrative AssistantLexington Law FirmNorth Salt Lake P: (801)297-2494Ext. 20056E:[email protected]

Re: [redacted] This is Lexington Law Firm’s formal response to Ms. [redacted]’ Revdex.com complaint. We are sorry if customer is having trouble with tracking their finances as described in the complaint.  However we are not able to see how we are to be blamed. All we know...

is the customer signed up for our services, agreed to the billing policy in writing, after attesting it was read and fully understood.  The cancellation policy only requires those who do not give us notice in time to stop working on their behalf, will be charged for work done that month.  This occurs at a prorated amount, so if a customer waits until 2 weeks into our month, we'll only charge for those two weeks as a final bill.  Customer here seems to ignore our clear policy which she was aware of at all times, or at least told us she was.  Here in this particular circumstance, customer was being billed on the fifth of every month, for services the previous month.   When she cancelled on January 25th, she had allowed us to continue work on her issues from January 5th through the 25th.  During that time, we provided all of the services agreed upon.  Had she cancelled on or before the 5th of January, then naturally we could have prevented another billing, but she chose to keep us working on her case, and knew our billing arrangement.  As agreed we prorated the amount owed and billed her less than 65.00 for that partial month.  Regarding her husband's case, we are not ethically able to respond to any concerns regarding his service with us, as he has not authorized her to speak on his behalf, nor has he complained.   We cannot provide information, even in our own defense, until the actual customer complains.  Our relationship with her husband is confidential in all respects and only his complaints may be addressed, not a third party on his behalf.   Therefore, since customer provides incorrect facts, and has no basis for blaming us for her financial situation, and we do not 'lie' to her or any others, we decline to return our lawfully earned fees.  Customer took full advantage of our service while with us, and received 8 deletions of negative accounts affecting her credit file.  She paid us a total of 169.85 for the work that led to this result, as well as use of our website and tangential services during this time. Claudia I[redacted]Attorney StaffAdministrative AssistantLexington Law FirmNorth Salt Lake P: (801)297-2494Ext. 20056E:[email protected]

techniques.    Also we'd need to know what you want to know.  They simply trust us and we get the job done.  You should also mention that we asked you several times if you had any questions, and we were available at all hours of the day for any new ones.  How would we know what you would like to know?  This type of complaint is truly rare as most understand this already.  Our service mostly requires that you answer our questions honestly and that is sufficient for the service to work.  But we also maintain a large staff just waiting to answer your questions.   If we had known of your special needs in this regard we would have tried to help.  We thank you for your understanding. Thanks,Kristine G[redacted] | Managing Executive Assistant, Lexington Law FirmStatement of Confidentiality: The contents of this e-mail message and any attachments are confidential and are intended solely for the addressee. Re: [redacted] This is Lexington Law Firm’s formal response to Mr. [redacted]’s Revdex.com complaint. As you know we cannot simply remove accurate items.  The creditors may verify accurate items, or even return them to your report at a much later date, if the...

item still falls within the rules for such.  This is why we advise you not to dispute items that are yours, but only the ones you know to be inaccurate or do not recognize, and would like verified.  It is also possible that a creditor is simply abusing the system.  Our records show that as of our latest updates, from the bureaus themselves, show 1 deletion from Equifax, 3 from Experian, and 2 from Trans Union.  There was never a time when all of your items were removed, and we have no indication that anything was replaced by any bureau.  You also agreed that we do not get paid for 'results', but from the work we perform on your word.  You received emails notifying of work done on your case, and you may request a complete copy of all of our work if you simply ask.  However we never agreed to 'remove' items, as we are not in a position to, but only to challenge those items you believed were incorrect.  If they have returned, and we have no indication this is true in our records, then the creditor feels they are accurate and has convinced the bureaus of such, or possibly they are abusing the process, and you need a more intensive service that will litigate for you.  Litigation is not possible for our extremely low fee.   In the end your signature and attestation show that you agreed to all of this before we accepted your case, and we ask you to acknowledge this and resolve the complaint.  We are of course sorry that you did not get the results you hoped for, but you are aware we could not promise any particular results, as that depends on the investigation conducted and your accurate assessment of each trade line in our case valet, where you tell us what is wrong with any items you believe are incorrect.  We hope this resolves any concerns you may have and reminds you of  the actual agreement made.  Thanks for your understanding. Claudia I[redacted]Attorney StaffAdministrative AssistantLexington Law FirmNorth Salt Lake P: (801)297-2494Ext. 20056E:[email protected]
