Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: I didn't say that I called the Lexington Law firm, I said I contacted them. I responded to e-mails that I received, requesting to cancel. But there were e-mails coming from several different people. So I didn't know who to contact directly. I don't appreciate their response alluding that I was lying. Just because they have a fancy law degree, doesn't mean thay can make up things. At this point, I don't expect anything from the company. I feel they will use whatever they can to try and spin the situation in their favor. I should've read the reviews about the company, because it seems that they have a habit of shady behavior. I just hope that other people will see my complaint and learn from my situation.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

RE: [redacted] [redacted] This is Lexington Law Firm’s formal Response to Mr. [redacted]’s Complaint with the Revdex.com. Lexington offers clients a discount off their first payment if they open their cases at the same time. This discount is one-half off the first fee which is...

paid to set up a client’s case, which includes pulling and analyzing credit reports from all three bureaus, obtaining a FICO score, setting up identity theft alerts and insurance, and granting access to online credit and budgeting tools. After this initial discount each client pays the normal monthly payment associated with their case. Lexington often times receives clients who are transferred to them from third parties based on negative items on their reports that may be holding them back from obtaining credit. Lexington is unable to control the actions of the third party after a client engages Lexington to represent them, but does everything it can to provide the services to them as indicated in the engagement agreement. Upon receiving this Complaint, an attorney reviewed Mr. [redacted]’s case and reached out to him via email to discuss his concerns. Lexington has taken steps to resolve Mr. [redacted]’s concerns and has provided to him copies of any paperwork from his case that he requests. If Mr. [redacted] has additional questions or concerns, the firm would encourage him to reach out to Lexington directly.  Claudia I[redacted]Attorney StaffAdministrative AssistantLexington Law FirmNorth Salt Lake P: (801)297-2494Ext. 20056E:[email protected]

Re: [redacted] This is Lexington Law Firm’s formal response to Ms. [redacted]’s Revdex.com complaint. We have explained the limitations of our $59.95 service to customer in the past, but it appears that customer cannot accept the service that we actually offer and may need...

special help, as in a one on one interaction and extensive education on the legal parameters available to us, all of which is at a level beyond the service we actually intend to offer.   We have been unable to reach customer to gain her acceptance of our offer to resolve this, but we hope a full refund will satisfy her, as it is the most we can offer.    While our service provided clear benefit to the consumer in the deletion of at least 10 negative items from her reports, and these results have improved her situation, if there is no gratitude, we don't need her fees.  She will receive her refund within a few days. Claudia I[redacted]Attorney StaffAdministrative AssistantLexington Law FirmNorth Salt Lake P: (801)297-2494Ext. 20056E:[email protected]

Re: [redacted]  This is Lexington Law Firm’s formal Response to Mr. [redacted]’s Complaint with the Revdex.com. Lexington assists many clients in repairing their credit by corresponding directly with creditors and the credit bureaus on their behalf. When...

clients contact Lexington they speak with a representative about the service to determine if Lexington is able to help them with their credit issues. Lexington also offers identity theft protection and insurance, credit monitoring and coaching, a FICO score, and other beneficial online tools. All clients sign an engagement agreement that outlines the services Lexington will provide as well as the payment obligations the clients will incur. This agreement can be signed electronically over the internet or while on the phone with a Lexington representative. Upon receipt of Mr. [redacted]’s Complaint, an attorney from Lexington reviewed his case and listened to his initial phone call where he agreed to Lexington’s services and signed the engagement agreement over the phone. Lexington was unable to find any instance where Mr. [redacted] was told he would have to call back in to finish setting up services. Lexington has reached out to Mr. [redacted] to speak more about this Complaint and his case. As of the time of this Response, Lexington has not heard back from Mr. [redacted] since its last email to him. Lexington would urge Mr. [redacted] to contact the firm if he would like to further discuss his case of this Complaint.  Claudia I[redacted]Attorney StaffAdministrative AssistantLexington Law FirmNorth Salt Lake P: (801)297-2494Ext. 20056E:[email protected]

RE: [redacted] This is Lexington Law Firm’s formal response to Ms. [redacted]’s Revdex.com complaint. Lexington Law Firm regrets to hear of any problems or miscommunication regarding the dates of Mrs. [redacted]’s billing for Lexington’s credit repair services. Mrs. [redacted]...

enrolled with Lexington on May 4, 2017 for help regarding negative items on her credit report. After enrollment, each client has a five day right of rescission to cancel their case and owe no payments. After that period is over, each client will make a payment up to two weeks out. When the payment date for Mrs. [redacted] was scheduled it was scheduled for the 17th. It may have been misunderstood that this payment was scheduled for May 17 because Mrs. [redacted] apparently understood it asJune 17, which would have been more than six weeks after she enrolled. Information regarding billing, prices, and services is all included in the engagement agreement each individual must sign in order to become a client of Lexington. Upon receiving Mrs. [redacted]’s Complaint, and attorney reviewed her case and reached out to Mrs. [redacted] in order to clear up any misunderstandings that may have occurred. After speaking on the phone, Lexington and Mrs. [redacted] have come to an amicable resolution to her Complaint. Claudia I[redacted]Attorney StaffAdministrative AssistantLexington Law FirmNorth Salt Lake P: (801)297-2494Ext. 20056E:[email protected]

RE: [redacted] This is Lexington Law Firm’s formal response to Ms. [redacted]’s Revdex.com complaint. According to Ms. [redacted]’s case, an email was sent to her on 5/1 immediately after she closed her case at 9:24 AM MDT. An additional email verifying her case was closed was sent to Ms. [redacted] upon her calling Lexington on 5/3. A final email was sent by an attorney to Ms. [redacted] as part of a Response to her Complaint on 5/18. If Ms. [redacted] did not receive these emails then she may need to check a spam or alternate folder they may have gone to. If Ms. [redacted]’s primary concern going forward is that her case is closed then let this Response to her Rebuttal serve as an assurance that Ms. [redacted]’s case is closed and she does not have a balance. If Ms. [redacted] has any questions or concerns about this then Lexington would encourage her to contact Lexington at her convenience to discuss her questions. Claudia I[redacted]Attorney StaffAdministrative AssistantLexington Law FirmNorth Salt Lake P: (801)297-2494Ext. 20056E:[email protected]

Re: #[redacted] This is Lexington Law Firm’s formal response to Ms. [redacted]’s Revdex.com complaint. We will refund Ms. [redacted] everything she has paid us.  We have no desire to keep fees from those who cannot see the value in what we do, and are unable to...

appreciate our help.  However she oversteps in her effort to ‘persuade’ us to do so, by alleging facts that are not true, and this must be addressed.   Ms. [redacted] agreed that if we set up a case for her she would have only five days to change her mind without incurring that set up fee.  After that, she was given to understand we would have completed the work on her behalf, and these fees would be considered earned and non-refundable.  We agreed, in return, to work on her problematic credit reports.   Furthermore, we gave her the ability to cancel at any time, and we would only charge her a final bill if that month’s work had already been completed. We feel our terms allow the client to be in full control of the situation while offering us some minimal protection against those who would abuse our arrangement.  She states she can’t find these terms anywhere, but they are in the contract she told us that she read before signing.  There is an entire process where she legally attested that she fully read and understood all terms prior to giving her electronic signature.   In short this was a mutually binding contract, fully understood by all, where she would receive services in return for payment. Ms. [redacted] then cancelled her case during that first month of service.  We never attempted to bill her at all for our work the first month.  The set-up fee was already earned however and had billed five days after sign up as expected by all involved.  Ms. [redacted] is not entitled to a refund of the set-up fee since her cancellation request came well after the five day grace period we offer.  This was her choice and within her full control.   In her complaint she even admits she did not cancel until 10 or 11 days later. Most troubling of all, are Ms. [redacted] claims that we 'really didn't do anything".   This statement is misleading.  Ms. [redacted] was informed by more than one method that we had achieved the deletion of 4 negative items within that first month.   This fact alone proves the value and effectiveness our service, which Ms. [redacted] must admit, along with her awareness of our billing practices.   We must also mention that this particular customer has done business with us before.  She was not new to our service and had previously been billed by us in the same manner.  She has to be aware of how we bill and how our service works, there are numerous requests from her by telephone to change her billing date from back then and multiple conversations with agents negotiating other concessions from us that make it difficult to believe she now has no understanding.  Most of our customers are extremely happy when we remove 4 negative items in the first 10 days of service.   However, it is clear Ms. [redacted] has another opinion, and while we do not agree with her or understand her view, in the interest of customer satisfaction we have returned her initial set up fee of 99.95. Thanks,Kristine G[redacted] | Managing Executive Assistant, Lexington Law Firm

if the client terminates the relationship in the first five days. After five days the first payment is due, which is the cost of setting up a client’s case, including pulling additional credit reports, initiating identity theft insurance, giving access to the client website with credit coaching and budgeting tools, providing a FICO score, and more. Before becoming a client, each person must agree to the engagement agreement, which outlines the services Lexington will provide as well as the rights and payment obligation of the client. The engagement agreement is always available to the client either through the client website or by email after speaking with a Lexington Paralegal. Ms. [redacted] terminated her case with Lexington after her five day right of rescission had ended and Lexington had begun sending letters to her creditors and challenging items with the credit bureaus. The payment made by Ms. [redacted] was for the fee as described above. Upon receiving this Complaint from Ms. [redacted], an attorney from Lexington reviewed her case in light of the Complaint. Lexington attempted to call Ms. [redacted] but could not reach her. Lexington has sent several emails in an attempt to try and resolve her concerns. Lexington is committed to resolve her concerns and feels it has taken satisfactory steps. Lexington would encourage Ms. [redacted] to reach out to Lexington as indicated in the emails to address any further issues she may have. Claudia I[redacted]Attorney StaffAdministrative AssistantLexington Law FirmNorth Salt Lake P: (801)297-2494Ext. 20056E:[email protected]

concerns in a timely manner and to all parties’ satisfaction. Although Lexington may, at times, experience longer wait times to speak with a representative, the engagement agreement also states that any client may cancel their case by phone, chat or email. If wait times are too long to speak with a representative, Lexington would encourage any client to communicate through email to take actions, such as cancelling, on their case. As per the request of Mr. [redacted], Lexington did not contact Mr. [redacted] in regards to this complaint. Lexington has, however, taken steps to resolve his concerns, including removing his contact information so he is not contacted in the future. Claudia I[redacted]Attorney StaffAdministrative AssistantLexington Law FirmNorth Salt Lake P: (801)297-2494Ext. 20056E:[email protected]

RE: [redacted] This is Lexington Law Firm’s formal Response to Mr. [redacted]’s Complaint with the Revdex.com. In July, 2017, Lexington received Mr. [redacted]’s information when he, or a person using his information, entered it online and engaged Lexington to...

represent him. At that time, Lexington had no reason to believe it was anyone other than Mr. [redacted] who engaged Lexington. Lexington began representing Mr. [redacted] according to the engagement agreement electronically signed, including sending letters to creditors and challenging negative items on his credit reports directly with the credit bureaus based on credit reports Lexington was able to obtain based on his information. Upon speaking with him, Lexington immediately terminated its representation of Mr. [redacted] when the firm learned it was a third party that had provided his information. Based on a review of his case, Lexington has not received any payment on his case. Upon receiving this Complaint from Mr. [redacted], and attorney from Lexington reached out to him to work with him on resolving the issue to determine what payments were drafted from his card. Lexington and Mr. [redacted] have not yet been able to speak about this matter, but the firm is committed to assisting him to ensure there are no problems going forward. Lexington would urge Mr. [redacted] to communicate further to provide details about this issue as indicated in the email and voicemail left for him. Claudia I[redacted]Attorney StaffAdministrative AssistantLexington Law FirmNorth Salt Lake P: (801)297-2494Ext. 20056E:claudia@[redacted]heathlaw.com
